VIDEO: Robert Pattinson Talks 'The Rover' In A New Interview With L'Hebd'Hollywood

Starts at the 10:00 mark. The interview is dubbed but you'll find the translation below the video.

Didier: Watching the film I remembered something I had read somewhere saying the apocalypse is when the human beings are losing their humanity. Do you think the film is speaking about that?

Rob: Yeah I mean. I guess it's also ... I was thinking a little bit about hope. People have lost the sense of hope with each character and I think it's where they are living, if the world is devastated just like that. Either it's economically speaking or extracted inside the world. There's nowhere to go for people. We're watching them and we're wondering how we can live without hope. Is there a reason to live? And I don't know if the film is telling about that but it's rather flexible how you can interpret it

Didier: I like what you are doing with your career after Twilight. I know you love cinema, we already talked about that. When you choose a project like this one or a Cronenberg, is it a way to put your love for the cinema in your work?

Rob : Yeah I mean , basically after I realized that if you only work with great directors and you'll be never disappointed. No matter what the result is , it's always an amazing experience.

Total Film Magazine spoke to Robert Pattinson, Guy Pearce & David Michod in Cannes.
Rob talks about how he ran lines for 12 hours a day for 2 weeks to prepare for his auditoin. Guy says how he was worried about not being able to deliver what David wanted and David explains how he made the movie the way he visualised it. He talks about Mad Max comparisons and how he stripped down The Rover and made it more brutal and emotional.

It's a great read. You can check out the interview below and the magazine will hit the shelves in the UK this Friday so make sure and grab yourself a copy.

Funds Raised By Robert Pattinson Put To Good Use In Cambodia

Funds Raised By Robert Pattinson Put To Good Use In Cambodia

 photo RobGO2.jpg

You might remember back in November last year we posted about Rob attending the Go Go Gala.

Rob bought himself a cello – made from trash found in a landfill – from the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, Paraguay, with his bid of $5,600 and also donated a ‘meet & greet’ on the set of ’Twilight Breaking Dawn’ for the online auction.
That meet & greet sold for $80,000 and that $80,000 went towards building a school for girls in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Check out these pics from the opening ceremony.
