Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart out and about in Los Angeles
Rob and Kristen were spotted at Soho House last night (amyebowers):
The Soho sighting is not far fetched since there were multiple sightings earlier of Rob and Kristen at the Marcus Foster show in Hollywood. I had the pleasure of attending the show. Marcus has had two shows in LA after a loooooong hiatus (last show was Dec. 2009). He's a favorite of mine so it was great to finally have him back. Rob and Kristen attended the show and this encounter is a compilation from the people I was with.
At the end of the show, myself and my 3 friends were heading out of the main room. I was cut off from my group by a pushy, wretched, beast woman who I curse with every cell in my body. Not really. Kinda just a little. At the time, I was gracious and let her shove past me and move behind my friends.
The passageway was slightly congested and when I got out of the area, my friends were clustered by a table and oddly projecting a glow. They assumed I too should be glowing and wondered why I wasn't. They told me Rob and Kristen had been in the passageway during the show and they walked out at the same time as them. Kristen was in front of Rob against a wall and Sam Bradley and another friend of theirs were sort of human blocking them.
As my friends were moving towards the next room, Rob took Kristen's hand and turned to walk that way too since people were beginning to file out. The timing had them walking alongside my friends to exit the passageway. I was oblivious, walking behind wretched beast woman who is forever cursed. My glowing friends said that Rob wasn't hunching into himself. He was at his full height. Full glorious height. My friend closest to him heard him do some kind of scat thing. A humming little diddy. We were analyzing the differences between a scat and diddy later. It was a "doooo deeee doooo daaaaaa" she heard. But sexier because of the source.
Is your brain bleeding yet? Anywho. So Kristen was now behind Rob as he led them out the door that went into the other room, sneaked around a pulled curtain beside the door and disappeared into a private room. He was scruff/bearded but not MountainManRob. It's a dark venue but my friends said he was wearing the grey and black checkered jacket we all know with a white shirt underneath and a black beanie. I was wearing a scowl. ;)
There were no paparazzi and nobody disturbed them. This kind of encounter stuff without pics is normally "yeah yeah sure sure" for me but it was seen by my people. If you have ever met me, you likely met them too. I trust them completely. Their eyes might as well be my eyes which is why I'm sharing the encounter. I'm happy Marcus had his friends there to support him. He put on an energetic show and the night was chill with a good crowd (excluding the beast) and great music (including Rob's scatdiddy).

#3. New Poster and NSFW International Teaser Trailer for David Cronenberg’s COSMOPOLIS
As unfair as it is, I’m just as guilty as the next guy or gal of writing off Robert Pattinson in any role because he’s, well, Edward Cullen. In this NSFW international teaser trailer for David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis adapation, though, Pattinson is far from a sparkly vampire with self-control issues. In fact, he kind of seems like a badass. Say what you will, but I think that a little Cronenberg gore and violence is exactly what the doctor ordered to help begin laying Cullen to rest.I will always love and support Rob's creative choices but it saddens me that his role as Edward gets bashed so much. I'll always love his Edward and Twilight. But whatcha gonna do. Our fandom isn't for everyone and my Edward love is welcomed in the DR. ;)
David Cronenberg was interviewed by FilmInk and Rob & Cosmopolis were briefly mentioned. I transcribed the excerpt because it's difficult to read the scans:
Fortunately, despite the fear that is currently paralyzing the film business, Cronenberg already has his next film in the can. Cosmopolis is an adaptation of Don DeLillo's novel about 24 hours in the life of a Manhattan multimillionaire. "I wrote the script in six days because the book is so cinematic - the dialogue is incredible," Cronenberg says. "That was unusual for me - to write a script that quickly. But then it was waiting to go." The project was brought by him by veteran Portuguese producer, Paolo Branco. "He flew to Toronto," Cronenberg says, "He came with his son and said, 'My son says that you are the right director for this project.'"I really couldn't be more excited for this film. There aren't enough words to express my excitement for Rob as Eric Packer.
The only issue was that Cronenberg was lined up to shoot A Dangerous Method. "But Paolo said, 'I will wait for you.'" And he did, securing the services of one Robert Pattinson in the meantime to play the leading role of Eric Packer, an asset manager who endures a surreal odyssey across New York when he sets out in his hi-tech limo to get his hair cut and finds the car stuck in a monumental traffic jam. "About 70% of it takes place in the back of a limo," confirms Cronenberg who still had to deal with legions of R-Patz fans during the shoot. "It sometimes was a little difficult. But Toronto is relatively repressed, i.e civilized."

The film Bel ami is the screen adaptation of guy de maupassant's novel. georges duroy is a young adventurer with no talents at all but with his appearance he can conquer the heart of any woman.and his conscience forgives him his every low act. rob: Idecided to take part in this project after reading the script. it is interesting to try and play a bad guy like duroy.he does bad things but omes out as the winner. and what's even more surprising this does not serve him as a lesson.he is ready to do everything to get money and status in the society.he becomes rich, makes a career and buys a noble title.he is a man with no talent and no conscience.he forgot what real love is, having become the slave of his career. absolutely amoral character." there is a brilliant cast in the film. female characters are just great.Uma thurman played madlen forestier.she helps husbands write articles, also she provides exclusive information which she gets from her lovers. thanks to her georges becomes a popular reporter. Uma: "my character is madlen Forestier.she is a very dynamic and active woman, robert pattinson plays the guy who makes his way to the top society by seduction. my character realises herself through her ability to manipulate with men, these two characters find each other and they kind of love each other and at the same time they don't. they use each other , hurt each others feelings. madeline would like to be professional in her job and she has to be professional wife. In this film Christina ricci turned into clotilde de morel, george's lover, with whom she constantly fight and then makes up again. her daughter gives georges the nick name "bel ami" (handsome friend). and all the ladies start to adress george by this name.Christina ricci: "robert pattinson is an amazing professional and such a nice guy. I am very happy that I had the chance to play clotilde and robert was my partner. i am very impressed by working wih him. he is very self-critical,like myself and he is very funny, he joked and made fun all the time, we had fun.had a really good time." George's another lover virginia walter is played by a wonderful actress kristin Scott thomas. her character helps georges to go up the career ladder. she persuades her husband, a rich newspaper owner to promote duroy, kristin scott thomas :" I wonder how the press will accept the film.its a common knowledge that newspapers, magazines , the internet influence the reader greatly.for example in the UK the press has a huge influence on people. the same happens in our film. a second class paper turns into a leading political mouthpiece used as means of propaganda and political pressure." Altogether there are more than 120 films and series based on guy de maupassant's works. "bel ami" is rightfully considered as one of his best works, and of course it has been filmed multiple times. the director of the film is a famous thetrical director and writer Declan Donellan. for whom it is a directorial debut on big screen. the premiere took place on 17 february in berlin on March 27 the film will be shown at the opening of the festival "spring Euphoria" (весенняя эйфория). and wide release is two days later from march 29.

Showcase Saturday starring Robert Pattinson
YUM. I don't even know what to say other than that for this video. I want to eat it up.
I think I was really feeling all these videos with Rob strutting on TV show sets. Might be the side effects from the Packer Swagger ;)
Yup. And my third video also features some old school Rob strutting. Packer Swagger definitely inspired this Showcase Saturday.
Kate posted this already but with all the Cosmopolis mayhem, I thought it deserved a reposting on SS.

"Cosmopolis" Teaser Seismically Shifts Critics Perceptions About Robert Pattinson
Yes the critics are finally realising what we've known for years!
Check out this GREAT article by Page Mackinley for Movievine.com:
Revolutions are usually bloody affairs. Sweaty, shouty, violent things that leave a grim taste in the mouth . But sometimes, just sometimes, they’re golden. March 22 was such a day. That was the day, of course, that the online release of David Cronenberg’s first Cosmopolis teaser 180’d the majority critical perception of Robert Pattinson. Critics, film outlets, and a multitude of industry commentators previously queueing up to disparage Pattinson’s acting abilities are now saying just the opposite. In fact, they’re openly rapturous.
Unwilling – or perhaps unable – to see past Summit Entertainment’s YA-geared marketing of Pattinson, as the sensitive vampire rejuvenated by his love for a human teenager, most critics recoiled as Pattinson’s public persona became inextricably entwined with that of the fictional “super boy-friend” Edward Cullen. As The Twilight Saga franchise’s star rose – and that of its young leads – so did the derision.
..........
But now, remarkably, everything has changed. To quote an apt phrase; What a difference a day makes. 30 seconds of eye-popping imagery, scenes of Pattinson evidently well out of his comfort zone, have kicked off a chorus of delighted shock and optimism about Cosmopolis, the return of “old school” Cronenberg, and his rebooted and re-loaded leading man.
