Robert Pattinson Talks In Depth About "Remember Me" To Teen Hollywood
From Teen Hollywood.com
By Lynn Barker
Between Twilight films, gorgeous, hot actor Robert Pattinson tries to take on other roles that challenge him. No matter what the story is, he likes to play "intense" characters!
Now, in New York, Rob is telling us that his character Tyler, in the new romantic drama Remember Me, a volatile NYU student trying to cope with a family loss and reaching out to the daughter of the man responsible reflected his own need to grow up and mature. He admits he was "a bit of an idiot" when younger and his "actorly" swagger tended to make people want to beat him up!
Robert confides that he's known a lot of troubled teens in his life and really seems to "get" it.
Rob's leading lady, "Lost's" Emilie de Ravin was very impressed with him saying that he brought "all these intricate details" to the role. She thought, "how do you come up with these things?" One of those "things" was literally beating himself up in frustration on camera.. but the moment was cut from the film. (Kate: Wonder if it will be in the extras on the DVD? )
Rob says he was thrilled to be out of his pale vampire make-up for a while but admits that all the crowds gathering in New York to see him shoot "drove me insane" for a while until he learned to just mentally block them out in order to focus on his character. When asked if he is worried about continually playing brooding, worried young men, he just kids that 'maybe I am brooding and wounded'. (Kate: Awww come here and I'll make it all better)
TeenHollywood: Was it refreshing to be in a film where you didn't have to bite someone?
Rob Pattinson: Oh, I've bit people in this (laughs). No I didn't. It's different. I feel like I'm missing out on something. It's nice. It's kind of a relief especially not having all the make-up on. That was one of the main things.
TeenHollywood: What attracted you to the role of Tyler in this film?
Rob: I read it after the first Twilight film and I always kind of liked it. It was always in the back of my mind and the opportunity came up in between the second and third ones; only a small period of time so you can only do a certain type of movie. I was trying to remember all the little things that I'd read and that was kind of perfect.
It didn't need any real prep time or anything and there was something different about it. It didn't fit into a typical teen movie type of thing. I hadn't really read a script like it and it seemed quite realistic and I found the character to be very accessible for me. I'd always really connected to it and I don't really know why (laughs).

'Remember Me' Review From NY Breaking News: Robert Pattinson Is Here To Stay !
Well we already knew this but it's great to read good reviews!
Teen heartthrob Robert Pattinson's latest movie 'Remember Me' is a romantic drama. Those who loved him in the Twilight series will not know what to expect in a very different genre of movie of his. Well, good news is that Robert Pattinson can act and act really well. You girl fans out there, your Twilight Hunk is truly something else. Fans went crazy seeing Robert Pattinson Kristen Stewart at the 'Remember Me' premiere and they will not be disappointed with their Twilight star in his latest movie.Twilight or no Twilight, he is here to stay as an actor.
The film is about a 22 year old deep, alone and brooding kind of guy seemingly at war with the whole world. The film also stars Pierce Brosnan and Emilie de Ravin and is directed by Allen Coulter based on a script by Will Fetters. The movie is a great package as a whole with great performances. The story is captivating as well as touching. Clint Morris has rightly said of R-Patz that this movie will turn him from a movie star to an actor.
Rob Pattinson plays Tyler in the movie who is though alone and kind of brooding but a good human being at heart. The romance between the characters of Pattinson and Emile de Ravin has been portrayed so real that it is really touching. Same can be said about the relationship between Robert Pattinson and on-screen father Pierce Brosnan which has again been brilliantly depicted. Bond star Brosnan plays with perfection, somewhat emotionally restrained father.
The interest is kept alive till the end with a very different, kind of shocking and unexpected ending of the movie. All I will say without disclosing the ending is that this not your typical romance where in the end every thing gets all good. My verdict: Definite watch.

Robert Pattinson Has Seen Early Cuts Of "The Runaways" And "Welcome To the Rileys" And Says They Are Amazing
We already know that Kristen Stewart is a huge champion of Robert Pattinson's endeavors outside of their "Twilight" collaboration. As she told MTV News last month, she caught an advance screening of his romantic drama "Remember Me" and said RPattz is "quite bold" in the film. Then she showed up at the new movie's red-carpet premiere on Monday night (March 1) to lend her support and attend the Plaza Hotel afterparty.
If you were at all worried, though, know that Pattinson has been reciprocating that support and praise for Kristen's new films. "I saw a really early cut of 'The Runaways,' " he told MTV News on Monday. "It was really good. And 'Welcome to the Rileys' is really good too. But I saw both things at really early cuts, so I don't know really what they're like now. But 'Welcome to the Rileys' is amazing.' "
Both "Runaways" and "Rileys" premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January to wide acclaim. Assessing Stewart's turn as a teen prostitute in "Rileys," an MTV review declared, "[Y]ou cannot walk away from a viewing and say the actress doesn't fearlessly expose herself physically and emotionally, and doesn't do so with astonishing maturity and believability."
"Runways," meanwhile, in which Stewart plays real-life rocker Joan Jett, arrives in theaters in March. We'll have to see if Pattinson shows up at the film's premiere in the same way that Stewart did at "Remember Me."
"He's really good in the movie," she told us. "It's hard to talk about your friends — about anybody that's close to you that you know. It's like, he's everything I know he is. I know he can do any film."
