Keep Your Lips Off Robert Pattinson

Well Cardboard Cutout Edward that is.

A CINEMA has banned fans from kissing the cardboard cutout of a film's lead actor – because they might catch swine flu.

Teenage girls had been planting kisses on, or hugging, the cutout of Brit heartthrob Robert Pattinson – who plays Edward in The Twilight Saga: New Moon – at the Reel Cinema, in Crewe.

But the fun is now over after a warning was slapped across Robert's face.(Kate:Not the Face, c'mon people)
It reads: "Please help reduce the spread of germs by refraining from giving Edward, or any other character for that matter, a kiss or hug."

Film-star Robert and American Taylor Lautner star as vampires in the box office hit,

Reel Cinemas admits the popularity of the film with teenage girls has been incredible.

Managing director Kailash Suri said: "The film was so popular that our performances were sold out for the first week.

"The girls were coming in and having their pictures taken. They were getting a bit carried away and in the nicest possible way we said 'don't kiss him'.

"The film has such a huge following."

Robert, who played Quidditch star Cedric Diggory, in the Harry Potter film series, is dubbed R-Patz in the U.S. tabloids.

Cinema supervisor Mandy Taylor, aged 35, of Shavington, said: "We put the sign up because of swine flu.

"If people started kissing him it could spread.

"We have to be more careful now. Robert is a big hit with fans. I'm reading the books at the moment. The films are great, Robert's character is very sexy."

New Moon fan James Meek, aged 21, of Crewe, added: "The film was full of emotion and the girls feel sorry for Edward and he is good looking too, so that's why they like him.

"I understand why the cinema has put the sign up but we had a little bit of a chuckle at it. It's a bit silly."

Robert Pattinson "I'm A Bore" (Updated with Scans)

....Says the Sexiest Man Alive, Robert Pattinson, even as he discloses how he loves all the attention, and why he did a bare all in Twilight

From Times of India

How did you prepare for your role?
Getting in to character was the first thing I needed to do and for that Physical fitness was the priority and my only concern. I remember, before Twilight, I never worried much about exercising my abs out, but for being Edward, I did every freaking thing possible. Regularly for 2-3 months, I ran for two hours daily and had a three-hour long session of kickboxing followed by hitting the gym for some weight training and abdomen crunches. In addition, I was on a stringent diet regime too. I was just trying to lose every ounce of body fat, so when I took off my shirt, I would look like an alien.

Are you enjoying all the attention that you are getting?
Before Twilight people use to complain about a lot of things in me like my chest hair and I must say post Twilight it’s about me wearing same clothes. I got more compliments over complaints though, when I heard people say, ‘He wears same clothes, wow that’s so cool and real.’ Actually, I don’t mind wearing what I have worn before; after all they are all my clothes I am wearing. It has got nothing to do with keeping the paparazzi away. I do not desperately repeat the clothes. It is just by chance and sometimes in shortage of time, in fact a couple of times while promotion. I guess people like me as I am. And yeah, I am enjoying all the attention I am getting, ’coz it was my choice to be an actor first. So whatever the results, I have to accept.

How do titles like – sexiest man alive, make you feel?
Who won’t like being called the sexiest person? Well, actually I don’t know whether I am sexy or not. How could I comment about myself? Ask others I guess. I am ok with such tags as far as there is no stereotyping. But yes, I would like to rename the title to The Sexiest Actor instead of just Man. After all I am an actor first.

Anna Kendrick Talks About The "Robert Pattinson Hysteria"

Anna Kendrick's new movie "Up In The Air" has been creating Oscar buzz for her for months now. The movie hit theaters this week and Anna gave an interview to AskMen.com where she talks about Up In The Air and the hysteria surrounding Robert Pattinson:

AM : Have you gotten more attention from the Twilight-ers since you got cast? AK : Yeah. The other great thing is that people just seem to be fine with me. Some people love Rob [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart] and some people say a lot of cruel things. And people tend to leave me alone. If they want to say something they tend to say something nice. Its an insane franchise to be a part of, but I got it the easiest out of everyone.

AM : Since the first part of Twilight has the atmosphere changed in terms of fans and paparazzi? AK : Thank God that people exist who know how to take care of that stuff. Otherwise, we’d just be mobbed everyday. They’ve set up a veritable fortress around every location that I’ve shot at with good reason. We live in our little blacked-out bubble.

AM : How do you compare the attention that circles Twilight star Robert Pattinson and George Clooney? AK : From what I’ve seen they get different sides of it. Rob gets a lot of screaming and a lot of prying and a lot of really, really intense praise, which doesn’t necessarily feel good when it’s coming from this hysterical place. Then I see people come to George and because he’s so established, some people try [to] trick him into saying something. And it’s interesting to watch him sidestep that stuff so gracefully and never lose his cool. I don’t know how he does that.

AM : Is there more hysteria around Clooney or Pattinson? AK : Rob Pattinson. I’ve never seen anything like it. Yesterday, people were asking me [at the Up in the Air premiere with Clooney], “Could you believe how crazy this premiere is?” and I was like, you ain’t seen nothing.

AM : Like stampedes and stuff? AK : Comic Con was pretty intense. We were in smaller theaters, and there were no barriers. I was just thinking, they’re feet away, and he’s standing right next to me. This kid is going to lose an eye right next to me. There were four security guards around him but all it takes is one and your eye is gone.

AM : Do you understand why people are so into him? AK : He’s attractive, charming and funny, but do I get why people do that? No.

AM : Do you think it's more because they see him as his character, Edward? AK : Yes. Absolutely. I understand that. Reading the books, Edward [Cullen] is like nothing you’ve ever read, and I understand why girls go crazy. But I don’t understand why there’s no disconnect when they see a real human being and start convulsing.

Twilight Fan Arrested After 'Filming' Robert Pattinson

From London Evening Standard
A Twilight fan is facing three-years in jail for using her camera at a birthday party inside a cinema screening of the film.

Samantha Tumpach, 22, was jailed for two nights in Chicago, after security staff saw her using her point-and-shoot camera inside the cinema during a screening of Twilight: New Moon.

Tumpach was at the cinema on Saturday celebrating her sister's surprise 29th birthday with friends.

She admitted to police there were small snippets - less than three minutes - of the film on her camera but claims she was just documenting the party and not trying to make a copy of the film.

Tumpach was pulled out of the cinema when a worker saw her recording video during the movie.
She was charged with one count of criminal use of a motion picture exhibition - a serious charged aimed at people who are attempting to bootleg films.

"It was a big thing over nothing," Tumpach said.

"We were just messing around. Everyone is so surprised it got this far." Managers from the theatre contacted police who examined the small digital camera.

Police spokesman Frank Siciliano said: "Officers found that Tumpach had taped two very short segments of the movie - no more than four minutes total."

Cinema managers, however, insisted on pressing charges.

Tumpach was jailed for two nights until she could appear in court on Monday, where a judge ordered her released on bail.

She plans to fight the charge in court because she said she did nothing wrong - and did not attempt to secretly tape the film.

Kate: So what do you think? Are they going too far or trying to send a message to get the point across and stop piracy??
