New/Old picture of Robert Pattinson during New Moon filming in Italy

New/Old picture of Robert Pattinson during New Moon filming in Italy

It's been that kind of day so this picture is going up too. We hadn't seen it before and think it's really cute. BOO to the person you doesn't know how to focus the camera.

Photobucket

FocusFAIL aside, this Robstigation was (in his words) easy peasy. You can clearly see Rob in the infamous blue plaid shirt. Charlie Bewley is to the far left. And wine is located in Rob's hand. That's sexy and I think I'll enjoy a glass myself.

P.S. Don't remember "easy peasy"? Click HERE. You can also know what I'm thinking of when I type "I'm just putting that out there."

Water for Elephants promo was so massive. I have yet to fully upload all that came out of it into my Rob-mind. At first glance these pictures were familiar but that's no surprise since over 500 pictures came from the WFE London premiere alone.

This first picture clued me into some of them being new. I looked for it (yes through all 500+ pics) when I posted the Forbes post yesterday but never found it. They had it for their pic of Rob and I wanted it larger.

Here are some more familiar-yet-new-yet-maybe-not-yet-who-cares-because-it's-Rob-looking-sinful-in-a-suit pics!

And another one...so, continuing with my analysis, I believe this is late 2007 post-Little Ashes filming. My report:

  • Hair color and length (truly the biggest tell during these Robstigations)
  • Body weight (slimmed down from fluffy summer)
  • Facial hair (lack of suggests Robvador period as well)
Love that he has his guitar. You know what I really think? Like 100%? I think this is the night he sang "I Was Broken". *SIGH*

Watch the video and agree with me ;)

Photobucket

It's the date placement guessing game. My personal belief is 2007. Early 2007. I'm basing this on the following:

  • Hair length and color (How To Be)
  • Body weight (not fully bloated yet like summer 2007 when he was out of work and ruled out 2006)
  • Tux style (not from a stylist therefore making it pre-Twi paychecks)
  • Facial hair (ruled out 2006)
  • Flush level (cheeks resemble the consistent hue he displays during time period)

I did not come to this conclusion haphazardly but I am open to other theories. ;)

This post has been stamp ROBSESSED.

Michael Sheen mentions Robert Pattinson and the legend of Edward Cullen

Michael Sheen mentions Robert Pattinson and the legend of Edward Cullen

While perusing our Edward collection, I got lost in this wallpaper by Marina that we posted back in February. One of his broody best, Rob is truly the best Edward Cullen. Michael Sheen, however, feels Edward might be all Rob is known for.

Photobucket

Speaking to Hollywood Life at the Cinema Society & Thierry Mugler screening of Midnight in Paris, Sheen had this to say:

“I think Robert has been very clever in the way that he has tried to branch out and do lots of other different things,” Michael says. “Rob has been trying to do that while he’s been doing the Twilight series and all but I think it’s going to take a long time. I think he’ll always be Edward [Cullen] for a whole generation or maybe a few generations of people and it will be difficult to get away from that. But he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.”

“Rob is one of the biggest stars in the world now because of the Twilight series and that can be a good thing or a bad thing,” Michael says. “It’s like when people have played James Bond and you get so associated with one character it means you have a huge audience and there’s a lot of people very interested. But at the same time it might put certain people off casting you as other characters.”

Humph. I guess, Mr. Sheen. Technically speaking, this does happen but we think Rob is making the right moves and those moves will benefit his career goals. Water for Elephants was well received by audiences. I found a lot of people commenting on how surprised they were with Rob's performance and the absence of Edward from their minds.

Don't get me wrong. I love me some Edward. BIG time.

But I love Rob more.

I think audiences will continue to see him as more than just Edward. Hit it, Biel!

Robert Pattinson granted the Starlight wish of a fan during Water for Elephants Sydney

Robert Pattinson granted the Starlight wish of a fan during Water for Elephants Sydney

Such a giver. He gets sweeter and sweeter, doesn't he?

Photobucket

From Starlight Foundation:

Starlight brightens the lives of seriously ill and hospitalized children and their families throughout Australia.

In the media lately it has been known that Reese Witherspoon is blown away by co-star Robert Pattinson's popularity: "I think all I can do is stand back and sort of watch it happen because I'm not used to seeing somebody have so many fans". One of these fans is Starlight wish girl, Samantha.

Not only was Friday 6th May Starlight Day it was also a VERY special day for Samantha as she was granted her Starlight wish. Whilst over 3,000 people turned up to get only a glimpse of the Twilight star, Robert Pattinson, Samantha got to meet him in person. She was the envy of every young fan meeting Robert at his hotel in Sydney. She also got to go down the red carpet for the movie premiere of 'Water for Elephants'.

A Starlight wish is like a dream come true for a seriously ill young child. Sharing a special, once-in-a-lifetime wish brings a family together, and is an experience that stays with them forever. If you want to get involved and make a difference visit HERE to find out how.

Rob is also among a list of celebrities petitioning for greater protection of child victims of trafficking. The petition is the largest to be received by the coalition. Click HERE for more details.

Coming in at #53 out of 100, Rob is listed on Forbes popular, annual list.

From Forbes:

With the end of the Twilight franchise in sight, Pattinson is preparing himself for a post-vampire career. The romance Remember Me earned only $56 million but that's not bad considering the film had a tiny budget of $16 million. Water for Elephants, costarring Reese Witherspoon, also performed decently at the box office proving that audiences are willing to accept Pattinson as more than an undead heartthrob.

Um...how happy are you that Forbes acknowledges Remember Me's success? That stood out to me. :) And we know Water for Elephants is performing more than decently. ;)

Great job, Rob! Keep it up so being on this list is a normal annual occurrence for you. :)

Robert Pattinson should play Adonis according to Jude Law

Robert Pattinson should play gods according to Jude Law

Update: *sigh* Sign that that drought has officially started? Scraping the bottom of the barrel for posts. The main quote about Rob is over a year old. Click HERE for our old post. But still true to this day and beyond. ;)

How right you are, Jude. Rob is certainly a god.

Photobucket

DigitalSpy.com reports:

Speaking at Cannes Film Festival, [Law] told the Daily Mail: "I can't play the dashing young blade in films anymore; those parts don't come to me."

...

"If I have a look around at the moment I feel great relief because finally others are entering the limelight. Men like Robert Pattinson must now play the Adonis. (Tink: I feel like we should chisel this statement in stone.) For me it was always a restraint, a restriction."

Brad Pitt didn't let it restrict him. He played/plays all sorts of things. Same with Depp. And DiCaprio. They all have wonderfully diverse careers and are known for their good looks. Rob's career shall model them. Nick and Stephanie will make it so. ;)
