Robert Pattinson in a Comic Book?
First a picture of Rob's avatar from Gossip Teen , UPDATE: Apparently this picture was created by one of our readers, Jennifer! How cool :)
A new comic book is coming out that will feature famous people. They'd better not steal my genius idea of "super hero with an impregnating stare" :)
From Coventry Telegraph:
LADY GAGA is to kick off a new comic book series focusing on the lives of pop culture icons.
American publisher Bluewater Productions announced the launch of the new series, to be called Fame.
The first issue, featuring the life story of the US singer, will be out in time for Free Comic Book Day on May 5.
Recently, pop culture artist Brian Einersen announced an entirely separate comic called Lady Saga, inspired by the pop diva and featuring fictional adventures in the world of fashion.
Future issues of Bluewater's Fame series will focus on such stars as Robert Pattinson, 50 Cent, David Beckham and Taylor Swift.
Bluewater president Darren G. Davis said: "Over the past year we saw an opportunity to broaden the scope of who reads comics.
"There were many who had never picked up a graphic novel or comic book but buy our biography titles like Female Force and Political Power. Fame is the natural extension of that trend."
Davis, formerly a marketing executive for E! Entertainment Television and Lionsgate, said the multiple printings of his tribute comic Michael Jackson: King of Pop, as I reported previously, convinced him to expand into the new series.
"Fame gives us the ability to tell more interesting stories about a wider variety of notable personalities. Conversely, it allows us to focus the scope of our other biography titles to more socially and political important figures." Davis added.
Biography comics have already been published on such icons and celebrities as Harry Potter author JK Rowling, Twilight writer Stephenie Meyer and Princess Diana.
Bluewater has also announced its biography title release schedule for the first half of 2010.
Upcoming issues of the Female Force series include Nancy Pelosi, Michelle Obama: Year One and Ellen DeGeneres. Other biographies filling out the first half of the year's schedule include Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor, news anchor Meredith Vieira, and novelist Anne Rice.
The Political Power series will feature Al Gore, Nelson Mandela and Bill Clinton followed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Al Franken, and Rush Limbaugh.
"People seem to enjoy debating whether this person or that are worthy of our biographies. Whereas some subjects have more influence on our social, cultural or political landscape than others, the bottom line is we try to choose subjects that have compelling or important stories to tell," Davis

Blast from the Past: Robert Pattinson - Harry Potter Videos
Yesterday I stumbled upon a google video which led me to Leaky News . They have lots of videos of the Harry Potter cast. I downloaded the ones with Robert Pattinson and cut the parts that weren't about him out :)
Rob is as self deprecating as EVER :)
The sound is a bit screwy on the ET portion of this video and at 1:10 it sounds like the guys is saying "he is getting ready to be a full blown slutty!" :)
Remember the sweatshirt Rob wears?

Robert Pattinson 1: Gordon Brown 0
Rob won out on the best dressed list according to the British Edition GQ Magazine, leaving poor Gordon Brown top of the worst dressed! Can I just say I think it's AWESOME that Take That came in second on the best dressed (mini squeeee from my teenage years) and Russell Brand came in second on the worst dressed list.
It's not the suits, it seems, but the success of the men wearing them that counts
Take a dark suit, a crisp white shirt and a snazzy tie; it might be a recipe for sartorial success for a Hollywood heartthrob, but it's a fashion disaster when worn by Britain's Prime Minister.
Or so says GQ, the men's magazine whose staff choose the best- and worst-dressed men of the year. One man in a suit – Gordon Brown – was voted the worst-dressed while another – actor Robert Pattinson – was voted best-dressed.
The evidence suggests it is not just the suit that makes the fashion icon but the success of the man inside it: while last year was an unparalleled success for Pattinson, 23, who won hearts with his lead role in the vampire blockbuster Twilight films, it has been less glittering for Britain's embattled premier.
Now, his fashion credentials have slumped too, sinking from last year's third worst-dressed to being first in this year's rankings. GQ staff deemed Mr Brown's fashion sense as "anything but a prime example of British style".
James Sherwood, a men's fashion writer and author of The London Cut: Savile Row Bespoke Tailoring, said the styles of Gordon Brown and Robert Pattinson can't be judged on a level playing field.
"The former is a rather dour, middle-aged prime minister, dressing for his political survival in unassuming made-to-measure suits.
"The latter is the hot new Hollywood poster boy, dressing to dazzle teenage girls on the world's red carpets in suits most probably chosen by a fleet of stylists," he said. "It would go against every fibre in Brown's body to be identified as well-dressed."
The Conde Nast magazine gave a high vote to the Conservative party leader, David Cameron, who came eighth in the list of best dressers.
Professor Iain Webb, fashion writer and academic at Central St Martins, said Mr Cameron's PR background may inform his slick dressing.
"It's probably a case of Cameron wanting to present a total package which gets him on to best dressed lists in magazines like GQ," he said. Mr Brown was not the only politician to suffer indignity. He was joined by the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, in third place, the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Il, in eighth, and the London Mayor, Boris Johnson, who was likened to "Charlie Chaplin ... with a touch of Laurel and Hardy, more Hardy than Laurel", in fourth.
The best...1. Robert Pattinson 2. Take That 3. Alex Turner 4. Fantastic Mr Fox 5. Tom Ford... and the worst 1. Gordon Brown 2. Russell Brand 3. Nicolas Sarkozy 4. Boris Johnson 5. The Top Gear Team

Robert Pattinson Razzy Awards Talk is JUST Talk
Razzies (Golden Raspberry Awards) are the anti Oscars. They are given to the worst in movies.
LA Times Gold Derby must be going through a drought of their own since they published an article titled: "Razzies for Rob Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Megan Fox?" solely based on the opinions of their visitors. If we go with that, tomorrow I might have to write an article about how OUR readers think Robert Pattinson should be nominated for a Nobel Prize in Chemistry, you know because of his insane chemistry:
Of course seeing this article in google, the loser over at Irish Central HAD to write something about it :) He LIVES for these kinds of things. It's his money maker, the most hits he gets is when he writes an idiotic article about Robert Pattinson. He even used a picture of Rob's head photoshopped on Justin Timberlake's body because he just doesn't know what's real and what's fake... (I'm not linking to him, please don't visit the loser's site and give him the hits he craves :))
Manip:
As for the razzies, hey even Oscar winners get nominated and "win" them every now and then but I don't think New Moon will be nominated for any Razzies :)
From LA Times Gold Derby:
Naughty Derbyites are already serving up Razzie speculation here in our forums even though noms aren't unveiled until Feb. 1 (one day before Oscar bids, of course). BC insists that "Twilight: New Moon" "needs to be nominated because it is overrated and I can finally say Golden Raspberry Award nominee Robert Pattinson." Adds our poster named kelemenmarc, "And I hope I can finally say Taylor Lautner too, a Golden Raspberry Award nominee."
Beware, "Twilight" haters: The first installment wasn't nominated for a single Razzie in 2008. Oh, cruel Hollywood!
Twilight Saga New Moon Taylor Lautner Kristen Stewart news
Our posters believe the contest for worst actress is a diva smack-down between Megan Fox ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "Jennifer's Body"), Beyoncé Knowles ("Obsessed"), likely Oscar nominee Sandra Bullock ("All About Steve"), Miley Cyrus ("Hannah Montana: The Movie"), recent Emmy winner Katherine Heigl ("The Ugly Truth"), Kristen Stewart ("Twilight Saga: New Moon") and Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson ("Bride Wars").
In addition to Rob Pattinson, the slugfest to snag the trophy as worst actor involves these chaps: Will Ferrell ("Land of the Lost"), Michael Cera and Jack Black ("Year One"), Oscar co-host Steve Martin ("The Pink Panther 2"), Gerard Butler ("Gamer," "Law Abiding Citizen," "The Ugly Truth"), Shia LaBeouf ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen").
LonePirate asks a curious question: "I wonder if 'Nine' is going to sneak in the (worst) picture category given its withering reviews and lackluster performance. Failed Oscar bait with a big name cast that bombs at the box office is usually prime Razzie fodder."

Robert Pattinson's "Remember Me" Is A Notable Film of 2010
Remember Me
Opens: March 12th 2010
Cast: Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, Lena Olin
Director: Allen Coulter
Summary: A rebellious young man in New York City has a strained relationship with his father ever since tragedy separated their family. A twist of fate bring him in contact with a young woman whose spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him.
Analysis: Girl #1: "OMG did you hear? Edward, I mean Robert Pattinson, has a new movie"
Girl #2: "Seriously? God he's so hot. You mean it's not the next Twilight?"
Girl #1: "Uh-uh, its like a love story"
Girl #2: "It's not that Spanish gay sh*t again, that stuff was gross"
Girl #1: "Nah, it's him and that Aussie girl from 'Lost' and they totally make out, she's such a lucky cow"
Girl #2: "Bitch, doesn't she know he's mine. I'm so there, text me the details" (Kate: Hey there little girl get in the bloody queue, thanks!)
We're still very much in the eye of the storm when it comes to Robert Pattinson. The scruffy, unassuming 23-year-old Brit didn't really ask for the media storm and fangirl craze surrounding him, but he has it anyway. The one good thing about it is that he can use it to push non-"Twilight" films of his that would otherwise go unnoticed at the box-office.
Whether he has the goods to become a strong actor however remains in question as his performances in the likes of "Little Ashes" and the "Twilight" films haven't met with acclaim. The former however was a far too ambitious role beyond his depth as yet, the latter is a character with an admittedly limited range of playability. 'Remember' at last gives us a vehicle that seems suitable for him and could crossover into "A Walk to Remember" or "The Notebook" style sleeper hit. (Kate: Oh God how am I gonna make it through this movie)
He's also got some strong support on hand with a screenplay by "Rachel Getting Married" scribe Jenny Lumet, and direction from TV directing great Allen Coulter ("Hollywoodland," "Rome," "The Sopranos"). Should Lumet's script keep the genuine and raw emotional power of 'Rachel', combined with the impressive supporting cast on offer, we should have good drama. Will Pattinson fit comfortably into that or be the weak link in the chain along the lines of Zac Efron in "Me and Orson Welles" or Ben Affleck in "The Sum of All Fears"?
