SPOILER Post for New Moon
Robert Pattinson Talks About Eclipse, Pranks and Competition with Taycob
From RottenTomatoes whose tomatometer made me see some pretty awful movies before I stopped trusting them. According to them New Moon is rotten with 30%. Well in my opinion rotten tomatoes is pretty rotten if they think Team America: World Police and Spartan are very fresh. Hours of my life I'll never get back...
From seriously Rotten Tomatoes:
The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been in cinemas for almost a week. So, depending on your feelings towards sparkly vampires and extremely buff werewolves, you will either have seen it three times already (ZOMG RPattz!) or avoided it altogether. Either way, the fandemonium has subsided enough for us to look to the future. It's just seven months until Eclipse, the third instalment of Stephenie Meyer's popular book series, hits the big screen. RT caught up with the cast in LA's Four Seasons hotel during their manic New Moon press tour to get the latest on the eagerly anticipated film. We learned that Robert Pattinson hates pranks, that Nikki Reed loves werewolves and that we may just see a fifth film. Read on to find out more...
Fact #1: It's Darker
The brand new poster for Eclipse (above) hints at a darker tone with its brooding storm clouds. With 30 Days of Night director David Slade at the helm, it's unsurprising. "Every movie is different because we work with a different director on each one, which I love," Taylor Lautner tells RT. "David Slade is perfect for the third film because it's darker. Eclipse was my favourite book."
Ashley Greene, who plays vampire Alice, tells RT that Slade isn't just a prince of darkness. "David is actually hysterical," she laughs, "He has such a dry sense of humour that sometimes you don't know if he's kidding or not. Eclipse will be amazing because he has made it far edgier and more dramatic. It's going to look very cool."
Fact #2: There Will Be Less "Love Story" and More "War"
"Eclipse isn't as intimate as Twilight or New Moon," Robert Pattinson explains to us. "We're at war, so I get to interact with more characters, not just Kristen. You'll also find out more about the other members of the Cullen family. It just feels bigger." But -- fear not, Twihards -- that isn't to say the love story is cast aside altogether. "New Moon set up a love triangle with Bella, Edward and Jacob," says Lautner. "So we explore that further in Eclipse. It's a tough situation for all of them because Bella is torn between two guys, Jacob can't get the girl that he loves and then there's Edward, with all of his issues."
Fact #3: The Werewolves Will Crank Up the Sex Appeal
"We all know the appeal of the vampire family," says Nikki Reed, who plays vampire Rosalie. "But the werewolf boys are on a whole different level. They interact with a youthful, playful, comfortable warmth. It's very sexy."
As for Pattinson, he admits that his personal jealousy about Taylor Lautner's newly-ripped physique actually comes in handy for the role. "In Eclipse, Taylor and I have lots of scenes together where we have to be jealous and petty with each other," he says. "So it helps that I actually do feel inadequate when I see his body, especially because he's younger than me. He fulfills every criteria of what teenage girls want, physically, in a guy. I felt like a had to prove myself against him."
Fact #4: There's More Action
"Filming Eclipse actually changed my life," says Nikki Reed of the arduous training regime the cast had to endure. "I have never been so fit -- this is the first time in my life I have actually had a bicep. It's bizarre to compare how we look now to how we all looked in the first movie. The entire cast turned up on set for Eclipse looking super-buff."
New cast member Bryce Dallas Howard tried to play a prank on the crew during one stunt, but she didn't count on Pattinson's awkwardness. "We had a fight scene where Bryce had to grab my hair," he laughs. "So she took a clump of hair from my stunt double's wig and was going to pretend she had pulled it from my head. She told me to scream and storm off set, but it was so embarrassing. She had this huge clump of hair in her hand, and I was like 'oww,' really unconvincingly."
While the rest of the cast were having fun with stunts, spare a thought for poor Taylor Lautner. "Eclipse is a lot more physical for my character," he explains, "but any time I have any kind of action, I'm a wolf, so it's all done with CGI. It's a bummer."
Fact #5: The Ending Will Be Nicely Set Up For a Fourth - And Perhaps Fifth - Film
There are four books in The Twilight Saga: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. But Ashley Greene gave RT the strongest indication yet that there might be five films. "We have finished filming Eclipse and one would assume that, if New Moon does as well as Twilight, then we'll start filming Breaking Dawn next year," she says.
"The only thing is, Breaking Dawn is a very large book so it would be a really long movie. We're thinking they might decide to split it into two parts, like they did with Harry Potter. Either way, we need to get on with shooting them because, unlike Harry Potter, vampires don't age. So we all need to look the same!"

„Twilight“ star and super hottie Robert Pattinson tells us, what kind of women fascinate him and why they can be afraid of him.

Doesn't like to brush his hair: Robert Pattinson, the coolest guy since there are actors playing vampires.
Text on the right:
About a year ago, no one knew Robert Pattinson. The Brits kept there hottest .... since Jude Law – except a small part in Harry Potter – well hidden. But since his success as vampire Edward in Twilight he became one of the most desired men on the planet. And that could even increase with the start of the second part of the Twilight Saga (New Moon, release date November 26th) Robert Pattinson comes to the interview in black jeans and a black button-down – just like you imagine a vampire. A bit of chest hair can be seen in the neckline. Every now and then our talk is interrupted by screaming fans that are waiting in front of the „Beach Club“ in Cannes. The 23 year old tries to stay as relaxed as possible in this tense atmosphere and grins apologetically, as if to say: Really not my fault. But it is. Because even as a man you have to ungrudgingly admit: Robert Pattinson just looks illegally good.

Interview:
The important stuff at the beginning: Millions of girls are wondering if you are in a relationship with your co-star Kristen Stewart?
Honestly? I can understand that my fans are interested to know but I just want to say this: She's a wonderful co-worker. I haven't read anything that's been written about us in a long time.
Are girls afraid of you?
Are afraid of me? I hope so! When you don't have something dangerous, animalistic as a man you aren't a real man, are you? (laughs)
What kind of women do you like?
I like women that are a bit dark and that don't have superficial self-confidents.
Leonardo DiCaprio told me once that with Robert Pattinson there was finally a young man in the film business he could give his title „eternal romantic hero“to. Do you accept?
He said that? Wow. It sounds stupid but do you know what? It is kind of cool. The guy has a great career and made the best out of his early success. In this respect I gladly step into his foot steps.
You are not only a talented actor but also a gifted singer. Your song “Never Think” is on the “Twilight” soundtrack. When will the album be releases?
I’ve been making music for some time. The director heard one of my songs and wanted it for the soundtrack. The whole music thing is a bit embarrassing for me. I once had a band, but now that I’m this popular it sounds weird: Robert Pattinson, the singing actor.
Fans are supposedly camping out in front of your apartment in Los Angeles. Can you keep up counting?
(laughts) They didn’t really camp there. And at the moment I’m not even there too often. But in the beginning they actually waited round the clock there. And they left messages on my car daily.
What were the messages like?
It started with: “Please don’t think I’m crazy but call me.” It built-up to “If you don’t pay attention to me, I kill myself. But I’m not crazy…”
Well, wherever you are girls are screaming. And you still seem to wonder about that?
I’m still wondering in fact. It’s completely crazy. I’m still surprised very time I see a real screaming fan.
Kristen Stewart said you change your clothes rarely. How long have you been wearing today’s outfit already?
I think from the belt upwards everything is new. Sometimes I really wear my clothes until I can’t stand the smell anymore.
Why don’t you change your clothes more often then?
I only have a few things I really like. And I’m always en route, away from washing machines. Why am I even telling you that? Ah, something else, I rarely brush my hair. My dad always wanted to brush my hair when I was little. I hated it. Now I sound like a complete freak. (laughs)
You’re driving an ancient car. You’re apartment has been paid by the production company. Still everyone claims you’re always broke.
I don’t know why. It’s a mystery to me. I’m probably losing my money on the streets…

On the Twilight set Rob found his big love in Kristen. Both have a huge crush
2004: He’s still embarrassed about his role in „rings of the Nibelungs“
2006: as handicapped soldier Toby in „The Haunted Airman”
2007: his last movie before „Twilight“. Rob as gay painter Salvador Dali in “Little Ashes”
Headline: Robert Pattinson – Twilight saved me From Loser to super boy! From Freak to the coolest vampire in the movie history. How Twilight Star Robert Pattinson overcame his life crisis…
Article
How happy they both look! Robert Pattinson (23) and Kristen Stewart (19) hand-holding at the airport in Paris. He’s beaming. She’s smiling. So cute! Life can be so beautiful. At the moment both are on a big promo tour for their new movie “New Moon” and travel through the whole world. BRAVO met the stars exclusive in Los Angeles and Munich. And both times show how much they enjoy their time together. Rob especially has every reason to be happy. Not only did he find his big love, fame, money and millions of fans worldwide due to his role in the vampire saga. The part as vampire Edward saved him from his serious life crisis. “Before Twilight I went crazy for some time” the 23-year-old confesses. Understandable – if you consider everything that went wrong.
Main problem: He didn’t get any big roles! After loser parts in TV movies like “Rings of the Nibelungs” (2004), Rob hoped to establish himself as wizard Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” (2005). No such luck! Again only small roles in Low-Budget-Movies like “The Haunted Airman” or “Little Ashes” followed. “I always played freaks” Rob said. It got even worse for the Brit: “I even got thrown out of stage plays I had a solid part in” he remembers. Very depressing for someone who dropped out of school for his acting career.
The consequence: Rob started doubting himself and his talent, turned towards music and went through small London bars with his guitar. “It was seedy,” he admits “Nobody was interested when I went on stage.” At the end of 2007 he heard about the audition for the novel based movie “Twilight” by accident. “I never heard of it before,” he openly admits. But still he recorded a audition tape with his housemate. “I looked awful and never even sent the tape.” Robs luck: “Twilight”-director Catherine Hardwicke (54) knew the 1,85m actor from “Harry Potter” and invited him to Los Angeles for the audition. “I took it really serious,” Rob says about the minutes that should change his life. “I hit my head against the wall and kept telling myself how important it is. I went completely mad.” In this crazy condition he didn’t even realize how thrilled everyone present- including Kristen – was with his performance. “I didn’t think I’d get the role,” he explains. “Soon after I called my parents and told them “That’s it! I quit!””. When Rob got the role as vampire Edward, he couldn’t believe his luck. “That’s when it clicked. There’s just one thing I wanted: Making everything right!” And he made it. Now the former loser is the coolest guy in the world. And he couldn’t be happier….

*New* Robert Pattinson Interview in Bravo (Germany)
Rob(laughing out loud): Am I a Hero?
B: For the fans you are. You play the outsider, who everyone loves…
R: It’s great to be an outsider
B: Are you talking from experience?
R: I was a loner in school. But you know what? It’s a compliment and the best thing that could have happened to me. When you are different from everybody else, it helps to be creative.(thinking) Maybe my point of view is a bit too romantic.
B: It’s ok to be romantic…
R: (grabs his hair and looks to the ground): I love being different. I don’t want to listen to other people or adjust myself, to fulfill expectations. As an outsider I became what I am.
B: Are you the same in relationships?
R: In relationships and friendships you have to adjust, so that it works together. Isn’t it the best proof of love to work on yourself, because you love the other person so much. But you shouldn’t fake it just to be liked.
Taylor: At school I didn’t have many friends either. Most of the time I was alone.
Kristen: We all feel like outsiders from time to time. Like today I felt like an outsider and I’m sure that the most popular girl felt lonely and misunderstood. I know how it feels to be unpopular. It shouldn’t bother me what people say about me but sometimes it’s hard, even for me.
B: In the movie you are perfect heroes. What about in your private life? Would you change something there?
T: I want to be so wild and strong like the werewolf-boys. I’m often shy and silent. Sometimes I want to be more extroverted.
R: I want to be a bit shorter.
K: (rolls her eyes): You are such an idiot, Rob! I don’t understand why you say such stupid things (Rob smiles embarrassed. Kristen shakes her head) What is going on with you? Did you drink to much coke? (Gozde: I love this :))
UPDATE: pbirdie told us that the translation is missing Robs reaction to Kris comment mentioned by the interviewer:
Rob lacht noch Lauter. Er scheint es zu moegen, when Kristen in so Neckt...
Rob laughs even louder. Looks like he likes it when Kristen teases him...
R: I have really long arms and legs and I’m a total klutz. It isn’t very elegant. If I ever had to dance on a stage I would die of shame. I’m not afraid of normal appearance anymore. I hope I can remember this moment 20 years from now.
B: Rob, you’ve accomplished a lot? Is it easy for you?
R: Sometimes I have to be motivated, to move my ass. I have the bad habit of hanging around. I have two options: either I want to do everything at once or I don’t want do anything.
B: And if you’re heartbroken, do you lock yourself up?
R: Oh no! You should never drown in sadness
B: …like Bella after the breakup?
K: I think it is important to go through a break up. Look at Bella: In the end she is stronger than before, because she found herself. Girls always want somebody who watches over them. But first you have to be strong. Then u can have a happy relationship.
T: I think the love triangle is really hard, in the movie. I feel sorry for Jacob, because Bella doesn’t love him back. When I read the book, I was like I don’t wanna experience that!
R: Being heartbroken always feels terrible. You have to go outside, meet some friends. But you shouldn’t ignore the pain, because someday it’s going to come back. But when you are young it doesn’t matter – after 5 days you fall in love again with someone else.

Robert Pattinson: 'I Haven't Done That Many Romantic Things In My Life'
BEVERLY HILLS, California — As you read this, "New Moon" has the biggest opening weekend of 2009, will certainly rake in millions more this weekend and could possibly go on to become the highest-grossing film of the year. In short, it's a very good time to be Robert Pattinson.
Recently, the man otherwise known as Edward Cullen sat down with MTV Radio for a frank chat about life in both Hollywood and Forks, Washington. If you can spare 10 minutes between trips to the theater for repeat viewings, read on to learn RPattz's thoughts about his director, the hardest "New Moon" scenes to shoot, and the most romantic thing he's ever done.
MTV: Tell us about working with Chris Weitz. What were your thoughts when you first received his now-famous "orientation guide"?
Robert Pattinson: When he gave that out, it was such [a surprise]; I mean, I'd never had that from any director. It was 40, 50 pages long, this thing. And this is in addition to a bunch of letters and e-mails and everything [he had sent the cast], trying to show that he's on the same page as us and he's completely with us in making the film. And he didn't falter from that attitude throughout the whole movie. It probably sounds ridiculous how much praise this guy gets. I was just with his wife and him in Japan, and she was even sick of it! But he is like a saint. He's one of the best people I've ever met, let alone directors. I think in a lot of ways that shows in the movie — it's got a lot of heart.
MTV: Since you're only in parts of the film, did you feel disjointed from your castmates? Did you wish Edward was in "New Moon" more?
Pattinson: Those [hallucination] scenes were the hardest scenes. They weren't really at the time, but when I saw the first cut of the movie, I was like, [we need to re-do this]; we've changed them quite a bit in the edit and ADR, mainly because it's so difficult. It's not Edward who you're playing, it's a manifestation of Bella's loneliness and desperation. That was always very difficult — I was trying to ask Kristen, "How would you play it?" As for being alone, I think I've always felt a little bit aloof as the character throughout the whole series. I think that's how he is.
MTV: But do you appreciate Edward more with each movie?
Pattinson: It's funny, because when I read "New Moon," it gave me ideas about how to play him in the first one. It's the one I connected to the most, and the one that humanized Edward for me the most. In the first one, he remains from beginning to end an idealistic character; in the second one, he makes a mistake that's acknowledged by everybody, including himself. He's totally undermined by more powerful creatures, and he's undermined emotionally by people as well. I think that's what humanized it.
MTV: Are you a romantic person in real life?
Pattinson: I haven't done that many romantic things in my life ... I like the romantic scenes. I felt like a lot of the story line in "New Moon" is very heartbreaking and true. And I didn't think I was doing something just for the sake of romance. In a lot of ways, it's a very sad story. Hmmm ... what's the most romantic thing I've ever done?
MTV: Have you ever serenaded anybody?
Pattinson: Oh no [laughs]. I don't think that would ever be romantic. You have to have so much balls to do that. I actually can't think of the most romantic thing I've ever done. I put a flower in someone's locker when I was 15 years old, this girl Maria. Maybe I was 14. Anyway, she thought it was somebody else. And the other guy claimed it [was him], which was great.

Edward is like James Dean: Handsome british actor Robert Pattinson recently said, his movie character Edward Cullen from Twilight was based on legendary movie star James Dean: he studied his acting technique a lot, especially in the movie "Rebel Without a Cause", a standard repertoire for every movie geek. For "USA Weekend" he said: "Rebel Without a Cause" was influential in hairstyle and other aspects. It is a similar storyline: everyday girls saves unusual guy from his dark world.
