Robert Pattinson Says It's 'A Little Early To Start Selling Out'

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Kevin Spacey voices Honda commercials. Brad Pitt has been known to recommend a frosty Heineken or two. Jennifer Aniston would love to sell you some shampoo, Halle Berry would like to share some makeup tips, and BeyoncĂ© hopes you pay for it all with your American Express card.

Long gone, it seems, are the days when artists sought to preserve their integrity by staying away from commercial endorsements. Which seems to leave one glaringly obvious question in the minds of "Twilight" fans worldwide: When is Robert Pattinson going to try and sell us something?

Robert Pattinson Takes Us Inside The 'New Moon' Birthday Scene

Star describes how everything goes from beautiful to tragic for Edward in one pivotal moment.

Late last month, during MTV's "Ulalume: Howling at New Moon" special, we debuted the catalyzing scene in the upcoming "Twilight" sequel, that traumatic moment that drives all the action in the film: when Bella Swan's 18th birthday party with the Cullen family turns from joyous occasion to violent game-changer.

As committed Twilighters know, Kristen Stewart's Bella nicks her finger while opening up a present, and the sight of fresh blood triggers the need for Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) to do a little vampire feeding. In steps Robert Pattinson's Edward to smack down Jasper and make sure not a hair on his beloved's head is touched. Their relationship is forever altered.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Reveal What Makes Them A Good Pair

'She really stands up for what she thinks is right and is generally on the same page with what I think is right,' RPattz says of his 'Twilight' leading lady.

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Judging by the photos that leaked Tuesday night, a lot of people enjoy dreaming that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's onscreen romance also extends offscreen. But no matter what the truth is, this much is fact: Rob and Kristen are happy to have the other at their side as they ride the "Twilight Saga" wave.

"He's thoughtful," Stewart explained recently when we asked the actress to name the quality in RPattz that means the most to her. "I don't want to be specific. It's funny to talk about your friends in [these terms], because this is now going to be the one thing that's my favorite thing about Rob. It's going to be the thing."

Robert Pattinson Gets Denied By A Girl In MTV EXCLUSIVE 'How To Be' Clip

Today, we bring you the fruits of his labor—an exclusive sneak peek at the movie due out on DVD November 17.

In the film Rob plays a down-on-his-luck musician named Art, who after being dumped by his girlfriend, moves back in with his parents and hires a live-in self-help guru to cure his social awkwardness. The process is quite a vulnerable one as you'd expect, evidenced perfectly by this clip in which Art's oddball friend Nikki (Mike Pearce) invites a couple of girls over to help his glum mate forget about his ex. Nikki's one piece of advice to Art? "Don't be yourself." We're not sure who Art attempted to be in this scene, but it's certainly not our favorite dazzling vamp. Edward would never drop such a sad, pathetic (and sort of gross) pick-up line. Click play on the clip below to see Rob clear the room with his misguided attempt at romance.

Let’s talk about New Moon. Was it fun to go back and play the role that gave you fame?
I was surprised at how easy it was going back in his shows. I like Edward and I have a lot of fun playing him.

You’re not in this movie a lot, are you?
I’m not. Edward decides to leave Bella, but he realizes it wasn’t the best idea and he comes home again. But I’m in the best scenes of the movie! (laughs)

What’s the main difference bewteen Twilight and New Moon?
The director is extremely different, and the movie has more action scenes and everything happens faster. I think it’s very different. New Moon was much more demanding physically. i had to train a lot to get in shape.

Are you getting used to fame?
I don’t think that’s something you can get used to, but I have to confess that I am enjoying my life. I think I’m a positive person, and the truth is I can’t complain of success. The people in my life know who I am and I haven’t changed in any way. Although my mom does read the tabloids and she calls me and asks, “Robert, how could you do this?”. I have to explain to her that it’s a lie.
