Clarification About the Vikend Interview with Robert Pattinson

Yesterday we posted a translation of the Vikend Magazine's Interview with Robert Pattinson. Some questioned the accuracy of the translation and wondered if it was another fake interview. Darja, who translated the article, made some inquiries and wanted to answer some questions:

I was reading the comments under the article and I would like to explain something: The interviewer, MR. Hundić is Croatian and I'm sure the interview is NOT fake. He was there, in LA, during the press junket, he was sent there by distributor for the Adriatic region (Slovenia, Croatia and some other countries), BLITZ FILM.

But he is probably not the ultimate Twilight fan and he wasn't paying attention to every single word Rob said and that's why maybe there are some small "mistakes" or inconsistencies in the article. I am also positive that he doesn't give a d*** about Robsten or Nonsten and that he didn't search for hidden meaning about their relationship in Rob's answers.

The word "white" was used, but not in a racist meaning. (we don't use Caucasian in Europe or at least in my part of Europe). It was a little strange use of the word, but I didn't want to change anything, since it was a translation and not my article.

I tried to do the best job possible, but as I said before, English is not my first language and I haven't studied it in university so I may have made a mistake translating, but I don't think so, because I was extra careful.

Love, Darja

From Mateja Košir, Vikend, editor in chief:

I know that you might think that, since some Slovenian media will unscrupulously print "borrowed" interviews or generic ones that one can get for any of the films distributed in Slovenia. But Vikend does not print any of those generic interviews and when we claim that we have conducted an interview, we actually mean it. The interview with Robert Pattinson (and the one with Kristen Stewart we'll print this week) is a genuine interview. It was conducted at the time and in the manner stated. This is an authentic interview which can be verified further by the Blitz Film distribution that bought the rights for Slovenia and nominated Stjepan Hundić for the interview in Los Angeles press junket. Vikend has a circulation of up to 200.000, which is not unsubstantial even when compared to some foreign media, as in the USA they tend to be more regional newspapers than national. After it is published in Vikend, this interview is subsequently published online and sold to other media in Croatia, Serbia and Romania. We get many invitations to interviews like that - sometimes they are hard to get, sometimes they are not - and you know, sometimes they also charge for them.
Kind regards and don't miss this Friday (or Saturday) edition of Vikend to see the Kristen Stewart interview :-)

Robert Pattinson to Star in Twilight TV Spin-Off?

We've been getting a lot of emails about "Robert Pattinson starring in a Twilight Spin-off for TV". The rumors started with a $500 million deal and now it's 1.8 million per episode. Those are HUGE numbers, numbers that scream "I am full of crap!" :)

Since we are not Summit approved :) we couldn't confirm that this was all crap but Gossip Cop did and yes it is full of crap.

Harry Potter CoStars Say Robert Pattinson was "Very Out There" and Funny

Matthew Lewis grew up WELL :)

From OK! Magazine:

TWILIGHT Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson’s Harry Potter co-stars Matthew Lewis and Bonnie Wright, who play Neville Longbottom and Ginny Weasley, say he was “very out there” but “cool” to work with.

Robert Pattinson, who starred in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with Bonnie Wright and Matthew Lewis, was “very funny” on set and kept the cast laughing.

Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom, said: “He’s doing incredibly, I haven’t spoken to Rob in about three years but I remember when he was on the film and he was a great guy to be around, he was very funny and he was very out there but he was cool. I think he’s still got my Guns ‘n’ Roses CD… if he’s watching this, I want it back.”(Gozde: Good luck getting it back Matthew :))

And Robert's fellow co-star Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley, says the Twilight Saga: New Moon star has been left “speechless” by his fame.

When asked if she wishes she had asked him out before he was a global superstar, she told 3am: “Yeah maybe I should have foreseen where he would go and cling on!

“No, I think when we were all in that fourth film we were pretty young still. I think for him it’s been pretty sudden and amazing and he’s still quite speechless about it.”

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe recently said he thought Robert is "coping well" with his new-found fame.

He said: "I haven't spoken to Robert since we saw each other at the opening of a gallery three years ago.

“I wouldn't have any advice, he seems to be coping well…We've been sort of exchanging advice through journalists, bizarrely.”

Summit's 'Twilight' dilemma

From Variety

Splitting last novel into two films means expensive talks
By MICHAEL FLEMING

The two-week $481 million worldwide gross of “New Moon” has vaulted Summit Entertainment into the big leagues, but it also has created a high-class challenge for toppers Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger.

They will likely have to cut a few big checks if they decided, as rumored, to split Stephenie Meyer’s final “Twilight” novel, “Breaking Dawn,” into two pictures. Sources said Summit has set Melissa Rosenberg — who wrote the first three films — to finish the series, but Summit has to clear several hurdles before Rosenberg learns how many more scripts she’ll write.

One of those hurdles is figuring out whether “New Moon” director Chris Weitz will respond favorably to overtures from the film company and the cast to shoot two more films, back to back. (Kate: PLEASE say yes Chris, I'm on my knees here )
