While I haven't been lucky enough to see Rob's Dior Ad broadcast on TV over here (yet) that doesn't mean I haven't watched the You Tube version on my TV (many times ;)).

And with the launch of Dior Homme for Men at Macy's there have been many articles that I've been really enjoying reading, like the one below from Vanity Fair

The ubiquitous heartthrob Robert Pattinson stars in a new commercial as the new face for Dior Homme Eau for Men. Directed by Romain Garvras (maker of the controversial promo for Justice’s track "Stress" Pattinson channels James Dean—living with complete abandonment of the rules. His lust for life, paired with his undulating intensity, inspire this deeply emotional modern love story (aptly titled “1000 Lives”), which unfolds with Led Zeppelin’s "Whole Lotta Love" humming in the background.

Shot on rooftops in Rockaway Beach and New York City (including the Waldorf-Astoria), the short showcases Pattinson as the ultimate urban male: self-assured but discreet, effortless and yet impeccably tailored. He is a man with a purpose, living from moment to moment (staying true to his vampire roots!), which also comes through in his next three film choices (one of them being Life, due out 2015, wherein he plays a Life-magazine photographer hired to follow and photograph James Dean). Taking a cue from Dean, who was once famously said, “Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today,” Pattinson—as the new face of Dior Homme Eau for Men—does just that.

There’s even a book, called Robert Pattinson: 1000 Lives, photographed by Nan Goldin and published by Rizzoli (Goldin photographed the European campaign for the fragrance).

And the juice is rightly so on-target for this present-day male. Dior’s in-house master perfume creator, François Demachy, tweaked the original scent to equal the attitude of this urban, modern-chic gent. The scent is a refreshing blend of Calabrian bergamot, Moroccan grapefruit, and Crimean coriander at top, with Tuscan iris absolute surrounding the heart, followed by Virginia cedarwood at the base. “Eau for Men is a fresh yet directly masculine fragrance, its immediacy is its soul,” says Demachy.

DiorRob in America continues to heat up. I saw the TV spot during Good Morning America and freaked out like it was my first time seeing him. The fragrance is in full promotional swing at Macy's so make sure you stop buy and pick up a bottle or two for the men in your life. Or yourself. It's not unusual for a woman to enjoy a light spritz of men scents and Eau for Men is lovely on the skin.

Harper's Bazaar included Rob in their list of HOLLYWOOD MEN IN FRAGRANCE and had this to say:

Twilight star and general heart throb Robert Pattinson was announced as the new face of Dior Homme last year to the delight of most women around the world.

We are certainly delighted behind this partnership, that's for sure. While the original DiorRob launch has over 17 million views, Dior also launched a new cut of the ad specifically for Eau for Men and the "magnetic icon". DiorRob finally debuted on American television! Last night, the 30 second Dior Homme spot aired on NBC's special, 50 Years of Sports Illustrated around 9:30pm. Obviously Rob fans were very excited to see DiorRob stateside on their television sets. While the footage isn't new to us, it was new to millions of other people who aren't in Rob's fandom. Check out a few tweets in the side bar that we retweeted. DiorRob is winning them over!

This is an awesome compilation video for DiorRob! Snuggler gave us the heads up because she's never seen the video before and even though it's a couple months old, we never posted it either.

It looks like the video was made for Dior based on the vidmakers description and you can tell it's definitely pointing out the success of DiorRob. Also, in reply to a question in the comments - the commercial will break Feb. 5th! All this in time for a very romantic and couple-y holiday.... ;))
