E! News Report: Kristen Stewart compliments Robert Pattinson in Cosmopolis + Rob a no-show at MTV Movie Awards

Marc Malkin also reported from E! News that Rob would not be attending the MTV Movie Awards:
Where in the world will Robert Pattinson be on Sunday? Not at the MTV Movie Awards! What?! While his girlfriend Kristen Stewart will be on hand to present with her Snow White and the Huntsman costar Chris Hemsworth, I'm told Mr. Pattinson will be MIA this year.
Frankly, I'm fine with this. We're in the middle of PromoRob for Cosmopolis. WAY better than sitting through the MMA. But I'm not ok with how MTV did the fandom. I don't think they deserve Rob's presence this year. Whatever, MTV, whatever.

I'm still voting though because I'll always vote for Rob. :)) They can ship his popcorn.

With MTV changing their voting and nomination system, it seems they're jump starting the end of an era for our fandom.

Last year was essentially the Rob Movie Awards but this year it's looking like a Blink and You'll Miss Him Award Show.

"What? You mean there are non-Rob films?" asks the fangirl.
"Yes", says MTV.
"What ARE these films?" asks the fangirl. "Are they even called 'films'???"
"Yes," says MTV. "And we need you to step aside and let them win because it's all about the Benjamins, baby."

That's right, with such films like The Hunger Games and Bridesmaids leading with 8 nominations each and Harry Potter with 6 nominations, former MTV champ, The Twilight Saga, has collected 2 nominations:
  • Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for Best Kiss
  • Breaking Dawn Part 1 for Best Movie
Anything else? Best performances? For anybody in Twilight? Best Cast nomination? Fight? Anything?

Nope.

It's clear what MTV has done...

Cool, MTV, cool. Onwards and upwards! Sweet man is goin' to Cannes this month with a BFD film! Plus the US of A will FINALLY meet DuRob THIS WEEK!!!

That's right, Robward! We're gonna shake it off and support Rob's two nominations because he's our superstar! We always support him. MTV on the other hand can go to hell for their fandom face slap.

Did someone say they wanted a quick refresher?

There are serious kisses for days in Breaking Dawn Part 1. We can't get enough of Rob, King of All Kisses, Pattinson.
More BD smooches from 3-peat winners, Rob & Kristen, after the cut!

Robert Pattinson's Bel Ami is reviewed and the reviewers are obsessed with Twilight

Robert Pattinson's Bel Ami is reviewed and the reviewers are obsessed with Twilight

Kristin: Ugh. Reviews...
DomRob: We must deal with it. Sit.

Screen Daily wasn't sold:
A lush and impressively assembled adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s novel about a charming cad who rises through the Parisian high society of the Belle Époque by wooing women useful to his cause, Bel Ami stutters rather than glides and while punctuated by some impressive performances and a fine sense of design it can never quite find the right balance between its twin storylines of seduction and politics.

Reluctant heartthrob Robert Pattinson makes a brave stab at the immoral and manipulative Georges Duroy – the ‘Bel Ami’ of the title – and while his good looks and intense charisma may win over Twihards, the film may have a tough task finding an easy marketplace. Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci impress as Parisian ladies who are won over by Duroy’s charm, though Uma Thurman as his Machiavellian equal lacks the charm to convince in her demanding period role. R-Patz fans seeking a bodice-ripping costume romance will be disappointed.

Hows about when a reviewer can write a non-Twilight review without these words, I'll take them seriously: RPatz, Twihards, Team Edward.

Bunch of crap after the cut.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Nominated for Razzies

The Razzie nominations were announced today and New Moon was nominated in several "worst blah blah" categories. Here's what Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart said when we contacted them (via our resident medium :)). Taylor Lautner was flexing his muscles and couldn't be reached for comment.

John Wilson, Razzie president and founder, told Gold Derby: If the Razzies had expanded its top category, "Twilight: New Moon" would've been nominated for worst picture since it came in sixth place in the voting, so alas, it got snubbed.

" 'Twilight: New Moon' just wasn't bad enough," Wilson adds, noting that its star Taylor Lautner also barely missed out receiving a nomination for worst supporting actor. Nonetheless, he was cited along with "Twilight" costars in the category for worst screen couple as "Kristin Stewart and either Robert Pattinson or Taylor Whatz-His-Fang." Pattinson is nominated for worst supporting actor, and "New Moon" is listed in the race for worst screenplay.
