VIDEOS: Robert Pattinson and his creepy stories about spiders, squirrel faces and starvation are just in time for Halloween

VIDEOS: Robert Pattinson and his creepy stories about spiders, squirrel faces and starvation are just in time for Halloween

GAWD I've missed this. All the great interviews that come from PromoRob. Let's dive in!

Rob talking to Vulture about jungle spiders is here to DESTROY your life:
There was this weird thing that happened in the hotel,” Pattinson told Vulture. “It flooded everyday at 3 p.m., because we went in the rainy season. No one realized it was the rainy season, and somehow all these massive spiders would float into our room. At night there would be like an inch of water in the room, it was kind of terrifying. I made a little hammock on top of my bed just hanging there, in terror.”

Meanwhile, Grey started filming the bugs. “There was one that was called a Brazilian wandering spider,” Pattinson said. “James, who is normally very neurotic about anything wildlife related, saw this spider, and it is incredibly beautiful, and he was like, 'We need to get the B camera, get on this, get on this. Somebody get it to move.’ And he was prodding this spider, which is like six-inches wide, with a stick, trying to get it to do something interesting. And the Colombian crew was like, ‘That is the most potent spider in the world.’ There were a lot of situations like that.”

Pattinson said things also got ropey — British for sketchy — while he was filming in the jungle. “There were moments where me and Charlie were going through with machetes and we were in totally virgin jungle humans never went through,” Pattinson said. “And they were like, ‘Yeah, just do a beautiful shot and hack through it with machetes.’ Me and Charlie were just like, ‘Uh, this feels like really ropey to do this.’”
Gold star for Vulture explaining "ropey". Now can we have video of that? We do have video of other great Rob tales. E! snagged Rob on the red carpet and got him to talk about his squirrel face/hip beard and starving into a skinny jeans.

ET Canada video is the same as this AP video we posted but now it's condensed to just Rob's interview.

The final interview is for the Lincoln Center. At 1:13 Rob pops up to talk about his character but I was more into how he says "advert". Rob and that delightful accent.

More PromoRob please. Thank you.

More Robert Pattinson Fan Pics And Story From Last Night "Cosmopolis" Set

In an earlier post I mentioned that Deb (one of Tink's co-blogger over on the cosmopolisfilm blog) met Rob last night, well here are some more pics and her story!

"So this was my fourth set visit but the first where I was able and committed to staying until the very end. You know, the end. When Rob signs and takes photos. Of course, it was a night shoot and although Rob wrapped at around 2 a.m. I was prepared to hear that it was too late and he wouldn’t be signing.

Dean peeked at the small group of us across from Rob’s trailer and
must have deemed us “safe”. *snicker* Moments later, Rob strolled
across the street with a big smile and killed us all."

Kate: At this point I think I would have fainted!

"He signed for Jan first. (Rob:“Your name is JAM? oh Jan… I was going to say Jam’s a very unusual
name.”) Then it was my turn…"

Guri Weinberg Tells How Robert Pattinson & The BD Cast & Crew Got Involved In Set Pranks

PhotobucketPhotobucket

On his blog Guri Weinberg says "When you're shooting on location for 5 months, you come up with some pretty juvenile inside jokes, catchphrases and pranks."

One of these pranks was the GFYS game.

What's that I hear you ask?

Over to Guri to explain.........

"GFYS started one day as Noel and I were walking back into our trailer after a long day's work. We each had one half of the same trailer as dressing rooms and our doors were on opposite ends. As we were opening the doors to our dressing rooms, I called out to him,

"Hey, Noel…"

He earnestly looked at me. "Yeah?"

UBER casually I say, "Go f*** yourself."

On his look of shock, I went into my room and shut the door. I admit, I was laughing pretty hard. The look on his face was priceless."

The game took on a life of it's own and cast and crew got involved.......including.......you guessed it Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart.

Find out what went down, after the cut..........

Robert Kestler: Benzini Bros. Circus Core Roustabout shared his story with WFE Blog, here's a little bit where he talks about Rob (and calls him a future Oscar Winner), to read the rest head over to the WFE Blog

The cast, namely Robert, Reese and Christoph were truly amazing. Each one truly genuine and kind. Working with two Oscar winners and a future Oscar winner was amazing. Robert Pattinson will show the world with this movie his versatility and depth as an actor. The fight scenes between Robert and Christoph were true genius. Both on the part of the actors and the fact they did the fights themselves. Reese is a wonderful and genuine person. I was privileged to speak with her on set. You will not find a more skilled and polished actress anywhere. Christoph is a true professional. His focus on his character and making it real is second to none. As one of the Core Benzini Roustabouts I was on set quite a bit. We “rousties” actually became like family.

And Cody Wood who also played a roustabout has been putting his story up in parts.
Part 1 is Here and Part 2 here.

Here are some snippets where he talks about Rob

On my walk back across the circus floor I noticed a new excitement. There was no audible noise but something seemed different. When I came around the last large tent pole Pattinson had appeared at the end of the menagerie. I heard the start of the AD’s instructions. “Rob, we’re going to have you….” The young actor looked controlled and confident even while hundreds of Rubes tried to secretly glance in his direction. Most of the cast had arrived at their original mark but I was still walking. Fortuitously I was placed near the entrance to the tent just a few feet from where Rob was now standing.

While the cinematographer gathered lighting calculations I was instructed to wait for Rob to hit his second mark and run past him going out the menagerie. Again, the speed at which the cues came was surprising. The AD instructed, “Pictures Up, and Background”. On “background” the crowd began the stampede away from the menagerie. A third cue came for Rob and on “action” he became Jacob Jankowski. He took a slow step toward the running crowd and looked on with awe. He took another step and scanned the crowd left to right. From behind the camera I sprinted as fast as I could just past Jacob. The crowd was still screaming and running in the other direction. I hopped to my right to avoid a tent pole and stopped dead. My breath was gone and my eyes were frozen. A few feet in front of me stood an enormous buffalo. Dark thick fur covered the entire animal except for the large blood-shot eyes that looked directly at me. I methodically moved each foot backward while the stampede continued on in the tent. Finally the word “Cut” came bellowing out from the tent and gladly moved back to safety.

Rob was smiling at the director. He was obviously tickled by the intensity and size of the stampede. The entire experience was authentic. There were peanuts scattered on the ground and popcorn boxes tipped in the bleachers. Along the menagerie a host of animals did their part to make the scene possible and center ring the massive elephant stood like royalty. There was so much to take in that the twelve hour day passed like minutes.

Big Thanks to the lovely Mona for the tip!
