5th Annual ROBsessed Awards ~ Celebrating Robert Pattinson's Awesomeness in 2015

The ROBsessed Awards are our own slice of awesomeness every year-end.
Josh Horowitz, a winner in the 1st and 2nd awards, has acknowledged his win and unexpectedly repaid us in the most epic way possible. Rob's Cosmopolis co-star, Patricia McKenzie, was so pleased with her win, she gave us an exclusive and lengthy interview, the sugar and the spice.
Safe to say these awards are our own little slice of awesome.

This is our chance to highlight some of the best Rob moments through the year and you guys vote for the winners. The winners just happen to always be Rob or a Rob supporter! ;) That's the kind of polling that belongs on ROBsessed. ;)

So now we bring you our very special.....

Guidelines: Starting at midnight (ET) on Dec. 27th we'll post a category with the nominees every 12 hours. You'll only be allowed to vote once in each category. Robert Pattinson - While neither David Michod's “The Rover” nor David Cronenberg's “Maps to the Stars” drew stellar reviews (Tink: Um. Beg to differ HERE and HERE), Pattinson was singled out for his performances, particularly for his work alongside Guy Pearce in “The Rover.” None of Pattinson's post-”Twilight” movies have found great success or acclaim, but judging from his reviews for these two films, he's not going anywhere and will have a feature career for years to come — especially if he continues working with directors who push him as a performer.

Sam Claflin mentions Robert Pattinson and his killer looks during Catching Fire press junket

HipHollywood spoke to Sam Claflin during the press junket for Catching Fire. Sam mentions his fellow Brit, Rob, and those looks that could kill. It's a cute mention and happens about halfway through the video but watch the whole thing for context.

Hitfix labels Rob a WINNER! Robert Pattinson is "smartly focusing on his prestige credentials"

HitFix recently profiled Rob in their article, Will these artists and actors still be big stars in 5 years time, and proclaimed, "Drop the mic, Rob. You win." Cick HERE to read our post on the article.

Hitfix also labeled Rob a WINNER in a retrospect of the Twilight cast:

Best known for: "Twilight" saga
Twilight

Character: Edward Cullen

Non-Twilight highlight: "Cosmopolis"

Why: It's been rocky at the box office for Pattinson since he first broke through with the first "Twilight," but he does have the hit drama "Water for Elephants" to his credit. He's smartly focusing on his prestige credentials by reuniting with David Cronenberg on "Maps to the Stars" and is expected to appear in James Gray's "The Lost City of Z" opposite Benedict Cumberbatch. At 27 he has more than enough time to return to Hollywood studio flicks, when he's good and ready.

"Drop the mic, Rob. You win." ~ Hitfix Talk Robert Pattinson

Hitfix did a “Will these artists and actors still be big stars in 5 years time” article and Rob was included on their list of people.

Here's what they had to say about him:

Where They Are Now: Working hard and loving life, evidently. David Cronenberg has apparently adopted Pattinson, and if they end up with a DiCaprio/Scorsese relationship for a few years, giving one of the best filmmakers alive a commercial shot in the arm, that would be fine with me. James Gray, David Michod, and no less than Werner Herzog are all set to work with him as well, and he's playing T.E. Lawrence. Drop the mic, Rob. You win.

Where They May Be In 5 Years: Ultimately, he's got to do good work in these films, but he's got a huge line-up coming, and he seems to understand how fleeting stardom is. Unlike his "Twilight" co-star, he's never acted like the spotlight is a burden or a horror, but rather a temporary moment due to the material. By all accounts, he is a real collaborator, someone who wants to work with strong filmmakers and strong co-stars, and as long as he keeps that up, he's in this for the long haul.

Last year's ROBsessed Awards was such a hit with you guys, you know we had to bring it back and make it an annual thing on the blog. It's a chance for us to highlight some of the best Rob moments through the year and you guys vote for the winners. Rob is no stranger to year-end lists and polls but on ROBsessed, Rob and all things related to Rob win them unanimously!

Rob won Hello! Magazine's most attractive man award last year, thanks to YOU and this year he is up for it again and Roger Federer is winning by 2000 votes. Pfft, 2000? We can do it in 1 hour! Come on ROBsessors! To the arms! Go and VOTE HERE! Let's bring it home guys :)



No offense Roger, I love you (like REALLY love you!) , you are a charismatic man but you ain't the most attractive man :)
