The day MTV UK telephoned me to tell me I’d won their competition, which was a Meet & Greet with Robert Pattinson plus tickets to the premiere of Water for Elephants in London, I think I honestly went into shock. I had already luckily got tickets for the Graham Norton show interview with Rob and Reese that I was very much looking forward to going to, so I was planning on a trip to London anyway.
The MTV prize included a night’s stay at the Hilton Hotel in Kensington with a private car taking me to the Connaught Hotel in London’s Mayfair. I couldn’t believe this was actually happening.
I checked into the Hilton in Kensington and got picked up by the car to take me to the Mayfair hotel. I’ve never been so nervous in all my life, literally felt like I would throw up. When I arrived at the Hotel, the prize winners were taken into the function room to be briefed about security etc and were told that Rob was running late for the premiere and it would be a group photo only due to time constraints with no autographs. The winners group was placed at the back of the room to set up the photographs and I was put in back row, in the middle as I was one of the taller ones there. A stand-in person then stood in the place where Rob would stand to set up the shot for the photographer. We were told that Rob would come into the room and pose with us for photos but he would have to leave soon afterwards to get to the premiere.
It was a very tense wait and everyone was quiet and incredibly nervous. The security surrounding Rob was quite overwhelming, it was definitely a VIP moment. Rob came into the room with a shy swagger, his hands in his pockets with a big smile and said a quiet "hi" to everyone. We all nervously said hi back and he went to stand in his pre-designated spot amongst the group. My first impressions were how young he looked and how slim and tall in the black suit he wore for the premiere and his shock of crazy messy auburn hair (he’d just finished filming Breaking Dawn 1 & 2). He stood in his place but he stood more in front of me so I was a bit hidden behind him. I leant forward and jokingly said "don't hide me Rob". He didn’t realize I was in a bad position where I was standing and he smiled and said "come here" and guided me forward to his side and put his arm round my waist. The photographer started taking some shots. I also put my arm round his back. By the way, he smelt very nice too, freshly showered. I’m pretty sure I felt him shaking slightly through his suit jacket, I’m sure the prospect of an imminent red carpet would do that.
After the photographs, the room was really quiet, but as I was standing closest to Rob he asked me if I was going to the premiere. Part of the prize was two tickets to the premiere but I had planned to go to the Graham Norton show interview instead and I couldn’t make both but didn’t have the heart to tell him that. I said I had seen the movie already (I saw a preview showing the week before) and thought it was brilliant and that he was amazing in it. He was very sweet and smiled, raised his eyebrows and shyly said “oh really? thanks”. Dream moment, having Rob himself ask you what you thought of his work. He wasn’t able to stay and give autographs as there were a lot of us and he was running late for his premiere at Westfields. There was some more cute fan interaction when Rob was given a ‘signed by Van Morrison’ CD of Brown Eyed Girl - which he seemed surprised and grateful for. His team moved him out of the room and he was gone as quickly as he arrived, leaving us all kind of dazed in a “did that really just actually happen?” way.
I had very little time to get to the studios for the Graham Norton show to get a decent seat, but I jumped in a taxi and made a mad dash across London managing to get seats in the middle of the studio & then spent a wonderful 45 minutes + of watching Rob being interviewed with Reese. After the day I’d had, I didn’t want it to ever end.
A week or so later, I was sent two of the HQ photos from the Meet & Greet by the organizers. There were many more photos actually taken on the day, so I’d love to see the outtakes but these were the only two they sent. The whole day was one I’ll never forget, I feel privileged to have had the chance to experience it.
Rob was spotted having dinner with a few friends at Galisteo Bistro Sunday night in New Mexico. There were a couple of excited fan tweets, and another girl who worked at the restaurant posted on her Facebook page how Rob was "very polite, quiet, undouchey and knows his wine."
Yup, that sounds like the R.Pattz we know and love! And apparently Rob is still truckin' on east... Scruffy Pattinson, dressed in dark jeans, a dark gray tee, a white over shirt and baseball cap, was spotted out at a bar Monday night in Lubbock, Texas, where he took some pics with some very excited girls.
Rob and his boys were at Crickets Draft Bar and it eventually became so overflowed with fans, police came to escort him out the back alley where more girls were outside—some even in their pajamas they were so excited just to catch a glimpse of R.P.
Still, we're told by patrons inside the bar Rob was "very, very nice" to people who approached him. One guy in the road trip crew sang karaoke while Rob was bopping in his seat to Michael Jackson's "PYT."
Just thought I would share the rest of the story with you all... Well, we all know this picture right? I was visiting Insta-gator in Louisiana last weekend with some fellow twilighters and happened to spot it on the wall. I raced over to it and, although the pic doesn't show it clearly, the paper above the pic says that the alligator, appropriately named, Hollywood, lives at the ranch and that if you ask the tour guide, you can meet him!!!! I immediately went into stealth mode knocking people over trying to find the guide because anything that touched Rob, I MUST TOUCH! Anyway, finally found the guide, who we had nicknamed Marshmallow Man, because he fed the gators marshmallows and because he was hot, and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about, all braun, no brains, I guess. He told us to go ask the short, red-headed guy. So I did, and do you know what he told me? He said, "Hollywood's not here anymore. Rob paid to have him released back into the wild. It's the only time we've ever done that." Needless to say, tears started to form, not because I didn't get to meet the gator, but because our Rob is that sweet! I cried and love him even more if that's possible! And that my friends, is the rest of the story. And there is even a video!

"I can probably name 10 actors who've been compared to Robert Pattinson," Irons said at the film's Hollywood premiere. "So it's an honor -- I think he's doing very well for himself, he's got some amazing projects coming out -- so it's a bit of an honor, but I think everyone's an individual. But it's nice to be likened to him."Check out the full video interview to hear his remarks.
Yep, while the lovebirds may be saying goodbye to Bella and Edward in ‘Breaking Dawn: Part 2’ this November, K-Stew has revealed plans to nab her British beau for a ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ sequel!Who wouldn't want Rob? :) Although I'm sure this was said playfully.
In an exclusive chat with MTV Australia at the Sydney premiere of the fairytale remake, the actress said of Rob joining her for a follow-up flick, “Oh absolutely! Rob’s invited to be on our cast. Definitely!”
But, it looks like R-Patz could have a bit of a battle on his hands for his leading lady’s affections… Kristen’s ‘Snow White’ love interest Chris Hemsworth, who plays the part of the Huntsman in the Disney adaptation, told us he’s also up for part 2. “I don’t know if it’s officially going ahead, but there’s definitely talk of [a sequel]. There seems to be a great interest in this, so definitely if there’s another great script and the same cast then for sure!”
And luckily for Kristen, Chris (and possibly Rob), the movie’s director Rupert Sanders has already started working on the next installment! “I can tell you that I’m working on a sequel now and it’s really exciting,” he told MTV Australia on the white carpet at Bondi Junction’s Event Cinema. “We all had a great time doing this one, so onwards and upwards.”
Robert Pattinson arrived at the luxurious Four Seasons hotel, in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, very much like himself. Beard, jeans, white shirt and hat turned to the back. Before we started the interview, he passed by me carrying a dog bed and left it in a room, at the end of the hall, where Bear was. Yes, Rob’s dog always joins him in his business commitments, ever since his owner adopted him, during Breaking Dawn filming.
The English actor came back laughing and not even caring that I was there seeing everything. Rob is exactly like that: a simple guy that makes sure to always be himself. In 4 years of the Twilight saga, the most famous actor in Hollywood, never let success go up to his head. He was never involved in scandals and doesn't like talking about his personal life - even his relationship with Kristen almost goes unnoticed. Rob's secret? To have his family and his "few true friends" always around him. In this exclusive interview to CAPRICHO, Robert Pattinson also talked about what he felt while shooting 'Breaking Dawn': he said he only got scared during the wedding scene when saw Kristen walking dawn the aisle towards him, and that he was terrified to hold a real baby. Ah! Notice the loving way he talks about his girlfriend.
It was so cool to see you talking Portuguese...
I wonder what the fans thought of me. They think I did it all wrong.. Honestly, I was just repeating the words people were saying to me. (laughs)
What did you feel when you saw Kristen wearing the wedding dress?
She looked amazing. To me, it was a very easy scene. I didn't have to hide, like Kristen, because of the dress. She was so stressed, sitting inside the house, waiting for the paparazzi helicopters to leave. I was great, until I saw her walking in my direction. When I saw her terrified look, I realized that it was my scene too, that I was going to have to do something. (laughs) It was my time to freak out. But it was a beautiful scene.
And the sex scene? Was it difficult to shoot?
No. That was easy! (laughs). The hardest thing was that, in normal movies, when you're doing a sex scene, people don't pressure you a lot because the director doesn't want to intervene and suggest how he would do that. (laughs) But in Breaking Dawn, it was different, there was too much expectation. How to make all the people, that were waiting for that moment, happy?
Do you think you did well?
I think all the merits go to the director, Bill Condon. Because there weren't many ways to film a nice sex scene with a PG-13 rating. You can't show too much. It can't be "complete", with everyone naked. (laughs)
Was there anything that made your life easier during that time?
Actually, nothing made things less weird. (laughs) There were three men to break the bed. I was trying to do a sex scene and there was huge guy laying on the floor, looking at me and telling me what to do.
How was your attitude towards Kristen
I was worried about protecting her because, you know, in that situation, everything is more complicated. But in the end, she was more comfortable with her body than I was with mine. (laughs)
Were you embarrassed to be shirtless
(Laughs) I was trying to keep the sheets covering us during the breaks between scenes. But it was more because of me than Kristen (laughs). Have to be judge by how I look like is terrifying. -- I avoided that the whole saga. --
Did you work out to film those scenes
Yes. But, as soon as I filmed them and didn't need to be shirtless, I stopped working out. (laughs)
The birth scene is so dramatic. How was to shoot that?
I read the script and didn't understand it. It didn't look like a Twilight scene. To see Bella almost dead and have to do a c-section with my mouth. I thought: "How are they going to film that?"
And Kristen? She was okay with it?
She's very commited to the role and was really involved in Bella's story. She was so intense in the scene, I don't know, I think it brought out an emotion in me. For the first time during the saga I was nervous. There was no other way to shoot that. It's a scary scene.
Taylor Lautner said Kristen looked really sexy as a vampire. True?
(Laughs)Of course, a sexy goddess. She looked amazing. It was funny because Bella is that girl that is always tripping on things, and then, she turns into this elegant woman, like a vampire queen. Kristen had the best twist in the plot!
Did the movie make you think what kind of father would you be?
I never really thought about that, but during the second part of the movie, we were filming with 2-3 weeks old babies, and I was terrified. You have no idea how small they are. (laughs). I was scared to death to break them.
Do you want to be a young dad?
I think that would be nice, because I don't have a lot of friends. (laughs) Sorry, I don't have a younger brother, my idea about kids is kind of immature. (laughs)
How do you define love?
Wow. (laughs) I think it's to be with someone and let that person to be herself. Each one has to live their own lives, but with the support of the other person. And you need to be able to do what you want. This is one of the definitions of a couple in love, because love is about so many other things.
Have Kris, Tay and you really become friends?
We went through this moment in our careers together It's nice to be around people that were going through the same thing. It's easier to keep your ego and sanity under control. Like, any of us would judge the other if he/she changed. And the fact that we are still friends, after five movies, is amazing. We were lucky.
How would you describe Kristen?
She's great. Ok, that was awful (laughs) She's ambitious.I like that obsessive determination she has to be herself. She's amazing. She takes the things she says too seriously, kind of like the opposite of me. (laughs)
What have you learned in these four years in Twilight
The importance to keep my feet on the ground. Ever since I became an actor, I saw people who with just a little fame, lost it. But the majority of the people I’ve worked with in Twilight didn’t, just like the actors in Harry Potter. Having family and real friends around me helped me a lot. That makes the difference in life.
Four years ago, you were shocked with fame. What changed?
Everything. It’s strange being the subject all the time. You feel powerful and think that you can do anything you want. You want to remember your original dreams because it all gets confusing and distorted when you have a million people telling you what to do. You feel that you are being judged, no matter what you do. I still believe in what I used to believe
Have you given up on being a musician?
I stopped doing gigs because who goes to see me wants to see the famous person. It’s nice to play to people that just want to have fun and don't care about who I am.
But do you still make music?
Yes. I’ve made millions of songs. (laughs) I play the guitar, piano and cello.
You play paino in 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2', right?
I teach Renesmee how to play the piano. It's nice. I shot the scene with a 4 year old girl that played better than me. (laughs)
At 25, what do you want from life?
I don’t know, to become an adult? I still feel like I’m 12. I hope to grow up. (laughs)
The 25-year-old English actor, who plays Edward Cullen in the series, had nothing but kind words for Condon, the fourth director to sign on for a "Twilight" film and the man who will conclude the saga next year when "Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" is released. He said he appreciated what the filmmaker was up against: a tonally challenging narrative, a special-effects-intensive production and pressure to meet outsize fan expectations for the first half of the finale of the franchise adapted from author Stephenie Meyer's bestselling vampire romance novels.
"It was a massive undertaking, much bigger budgets and huge expectations, since it was the last one in the series," Pattinson said of the production. "There was much more pressure than the last one."
Pattinson said he felt that Condon had a point of view with the film -- Condon told The Times that he wanted to marry melodrama and horror in telling the story of Edward's marriage to Bella (Kristen Stewart) and the fallout from the unplanned pregnancy that happens soon after. The actor also enjoyed Condon's humor, which showed up both on-screen and off.
"It's very easy to become cynical about stuff, especially where you are doing five movies in the series," Pattinson said. "It's a very sentimental story in a lot of ways, and I'm an incredibly cynical person. Bill would always have a great explanation for why it's not ridiculous and it's not corny. It was great to have someone on set who could convince me of those things."
Pattinson said that from the beginning, the shoot was a challenge. The six-month filming schedule for both parts of "Breaking Dawn" kicked off in Brazil, where Pattinson said "everything went wrong."
"Just the fact that he didn't get overwhelmed within two seconds was a big deal," Pattinson said of Condon. "We were in Rio [de Janeiro] for one day. Two cameras broke down, a crane broke down and everything was crazy. There was no crowd control, and he stayed perfectly calm. Bill was really thrown in the deep end, and we came up with really nice stuff. It was really pretty and nice."
Could this man be any more gracious to his fans? I think not...
