A change of direction which does not prevent the teenagers from continuing to worship the actor. On Sunday, some waited for him several hours in front of the hotel where their idol gave interviews.

It's clear and has been for a bit now that Rob's professional path is one that allows him to work with great directors. That was just enough to jumpstart our DiorRob engines since the last rumors said May/June was THE TIME but our patience is wearing thin.



So we waited. And speculated. I was examining the little collage of pics and google searching the stairs at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. Then this morning is was revealed that the Dior secret was their Resort 2014 collection....



Sigh. People vowed to never believe in DiorRob again. Called it a myth. Urban legend! I would have SO loved to join that team except for a couple of things.



Yes. Rob. It's not even the initial rumors that keep my hope alive. It's Rob! There are secrets in those eyes. DiorRob is brewing in that smile! AND there's this....

 

That's Rob outside the Waldorf Astoria in NYC back in December. Fans reported he was there filming a commercial, saying Rob was surprised they found him, snapping Dean in the process which also proved Rob was working....UGH.

How can you let DiorRob dreams die when we have Rob dodging questions and popping up mysteriously at the Waldorf to work?? Now the whole point of this edition of "Things That Make You Go Hmmmmmm" is because of the following tweets, the first two were back from December.

• We know one of the frangrance blogs below still listed Jude Law as the face of Dior Homme -"The face of the perfume is Jude Law, photographed by Peter Lindbergh." Here's what we think. At press time, there is still no official announcement so the perfume blog goes with Jude who is the last to represent Dior Homme. We contacted the blog yesterday but are waiting on a response. I still have my money on Rob. ;)
• GQ posted another Best Dressed Men list yesterday and Rob was on it. Well he's kind of always on it now. What was interesting....INTERESTING....was what they said in their blurb about Rob - "By the time you read this, everyone’s vampire of choice may be confirmed as the new face of Dior Homme."

HMMMMMMMMM!

The rumors swirling around Rob being the new face of Dior mens fragrance keep mounting up. We had the first fire started by eOnline. Click HERE to read their report that Rob signed a 3 year deal with Dior and will collect $12 million. But then The Hollywood Reporter threw some water on that fire HERE. Claimed it was still only a rumor. Rob was asked about it during BD2 promo and his poor poker face HERE started the fire back up until we got pics of him in NYC HERE filming what people said was a commercial for Dior and well....everything is blazing!

Well how about we stoke the flames and go "HMMMMMMMMM" some more?

This post is for the luckiest ladies in the world that get to see Robert Pattinson play Georges Duroy in the first public viewing of Bel Ami.

We posted about Belgium getting the opportunity to view Bel Ami before any other country in this whole wide world. Astrid sent us the info and now she emailed us again about the Ladies At The Movies event:

100% sure it'll be the real Bel Ami. I went to Kinepolis today and they had this home made poster up. It says: "Enjoy this movie in avant premiere on Wednesday 4th of January. A period movie with an impressive cast: Robert Pattinson, Christina Ricci, Kristen Scott Thomas & Uma Thurman". Absolutely no idea why they added a pic of Nicole Kidman. I think they're confused. At least they got Rob right!!

Let's cut to the chase.

Reader, Astrid, sent us a heads up email saying Bel Ami was going to be playing in select Belgium theaters under the event, Ladies At The Movies. She said this event is something put together for women only and sometimes features films that are unreleased and star hot actors. LOL those were her words. ;)

I checked out the sight and my minimal french confirmed the things she shared. I went on to check the theaters that had Bel Ami listed. This is a screencap of one of the theaters.



Here's a list of all the Belgium theaters that have Bel Ami listed and the dates:

Ok so real talk. Is this legit? The theaters exist and the event, Ladies At The Movies, is valid. Unless they plan on showing gay porn, there's only one other Bel Ami that's unreleased and stars a hot actor.

What would I do? Buy a ticket! With pricing no more than a normal movie ticket, it's a gamble worth taking. If you live in Belgium, give the theaters a call and see if you'll be watching Rob or if you'll be watching two men who are more than friends.

Collider: The Twilight films haven’t all come out yet, but you’re finished with filming. What’s it like to be able to step back from them a little bit? Is it weird that it’s all finished, as far as the production goes?

WYCK GODFREY: When we finished shooting in St. Thomas, in the Virgin Islands, on the very last night with Rob [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart] in the water, at their honeymoon, it was one of the greatest moments of elation in my life, in the sense that we were all so happy. A lot of times, you finish a movie and you’re either going, “Oh, thank god, that’s over,” or “Oh, my god, it’s over and I don’t want it to end.” The truth is that we made five movies in three years and three months, from beginning of shooting to end of shooting. I don’t think any series has ever done the movies that quickly. And, we all just felt really fulfilled. I think there was a real sense of, “We did it!,” rather than, “Oh, shoot!” Right now, it doesn’t feel weird because it feel like we’re doing the same thing we did on Twilight andNew Moon and Eclipse, where we’re selling the film and trying to open the film. We’ve got another film in post-production, so we’re still working on it. I think that there are no regrets. It’s all just moving forward. Once we’re all done, we move on to something else. It’s been great.

What’s it been like to have a director like Bill Condon responsible for these last two films? How do you feel he elevated not just the series, but the performance of the actors?

Updated: Robert Pattinson Is NOT Recording An Album (Right Now)

UPDATED AGAIN

MTV News reached out to Pattinson's rep, who told us, "The report is untrue. He is not working on an album right now." (Kate: The RIGHT NOW bit is what I'm hearing, keep the faith people!)

Of course, that is not to say Pattinson might not record music someday — he has previously recorded "Never Think" and "Let Me Sign" for the original "Twilight" soundtrack — but it's not happening now.

When we caught up with "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon at Comic-Con, he confirmed that there would be some familiar musical themes weaved into the fourth film, courtesy of composer Carter Burwell, who scored the first movie. And while the director would not confirm Pattinson's inclusion on the soundtrack, he hinted that some of the musically inclined castmembers might lend their talents.

The British actor, 25, is prepping to record an album imminently, two sources tell Us Weekly.

"Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn't allow it," one insider explains of the superstar, who recorded two songs, "Never Think" (which he co-wrote with pal Sam Bradley) and "Let Me Sign" for the original Twilight soundtrack.

"Now he's got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting Breaking Dawn."

But don't expect a chart-topping album (Kate: Wanna bet?) with broad mass appeal and a string of top 40 hits. "The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop," explains a second source of the indie-music fan, "Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison."

Pattinson frequently had hotel room jam sessions with other Twilight pals while shooting the flicks in Vancouver and elsewhere. His Twilight costar (and fellow musician) Jackson Rathbone said Kristen Stewart's man "loves to play the blues. He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time. Very humble and quiet guy.

"Music is his first love!" says the second source. (Kate: Who knew? Oh wait we all did, carry on....) "He's tortured because he avoids it. When he's sitting around jamming in the studio, it's his favorite moment of life."

To prep for the recording session, the guitar player has been "studying on on other instruments -- like piano and horns," the first source reveals. "It's an obsession for him."

I know it's USweekly but I SO want this to be true I really, really want this to happen. I want him to record his music. I know all of you feel the same. Just imagine it!!

Gossip sites and tweets get really...creative...during droughts and trying to weed through them can make you curl up and cry. Without a picture, you can never be certain Rob was doing this or that or the other. Sometimes you get a credible source talking like Norman's but even that, you can't be 100% sure.

So why am I posting now? One reason. Food. Food + Rob = I wanna post. But we'll get to that in a moment. You can't have the goodies without first being subjected to the current rumor mill that made my brain hurt.



First up was Rob being a musical Mother Teresa. You guys loved this up in the comments and now here it is for your continued pleasure. From The Sun:

The warm-hearted Twilight star had spotted the down-and-out's tatty acoustic as he put money in a collection tin.

Minutes later R-Patz, 25, who plays cold-blooded Edward Cullen, emerged from a music store with an electric guitar for himself and the red acoustic for the man.

The British actor's generosity was witnessed in Los Angeles by holidaymakers Luke Jones and girlfriend Kirsty Rowlands, 22.

Builder Luke, 24, of Bridgend, South Wales, said: "We were gobsmacked when he handed the acoustic guitar to the tramp.

"Robert quickly went back to his car and drove off.

"The busker was totally shell-shocked. He had no idea who Robert was – I think he thought the guitar was stolen.

"He was looking left and right, half expecting the police to arrest him. We asked him to play but he couldn't get his thoughts together."

Sounds like something Rob would do but *shrugs* who knows if it's true. Guess I need to go track down a homeless person in LA with a shiny new guitar and interview him, right? But let's check out the next rumor first...

Rob must live at Soho House. If all the sightings are true, he's well protected there. He can get in and out without pictures. This rumor has conflicting reports but considering one report is coming from the lying, defaming, stealing Hollywood Life Lies, I'm not surprised they could have gotten it wrong. They have certificates galore in "getting it wrong". From Hollywood Life Lies:

• Rob was at Soho West Hollywood Sept. 1st
• Rob looked very happy
• Rob was with Sam and his sister Lizzy (although they posted a pic of Victoria)
• Rob was dressed in unbuttoned plaid short sleeve shirt with a black tee underneath
• Rob wore a hat
• Rob had a beard
• They went unnoticed (umm...no they didn't...clearly lol) and were having a deep conversation
• They sat by a window
• Rob had pizza and clear liquid
• Rob went to the bathroom, washed his hands and gave the bathroom attendant a guitar

Ok I added the last part because it fits with the rest of the "reports". Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Rob was also at Soho House. This time in New York City on Sept 2nd. "NEW YORK CITY?!! Get a rope." Compiled by Robstenation from twitter:

There's further speculation as to why he could be in NYC (potential joint photoshoot with Kristen Stewart) but at this point, I think my eyes are bleeding. If it's a photoshoot, we'll know at some point. As for the rest, we'll likely never know and if Rob wanted us to know, he'd tell us (yeah right). Now on to the good stuff.

Food! I swear Rob is my Oprah. I love knowing what he's reading and what movies he digs and where he's eating and what he buys etc etc. I buy the book, watch the film, eat the food and think about guitar lessons. Robsessed, duh. So after all the saltiness in this post, the thing that sticks out for me is the restaurant he may or may not have gone to: The Smile.



It looks cool! I was just in New York City and would have loved to check it out. I know it's uncertain if he was really there but still looks pretty neat. Next time. ;) Times like these I wish Rob was on twitter or had a blog to just say something is Rob-approved. He's my Oprah.

Bel Ami is a touchy subject among the fandom. We want it bad. I swear many of us would do anything to get it. Filmed over a year ago, the production team is infuriatingly hush about the release of the film or what the problem is. We keep recycling the same stills that ironically are very expressive of how we feel. Let me demonstrate...

Umadeleine: Is it true the film is finally being released?

DuRob: Darling, I don't f*cking know.

DuRob: I demand this film is released as I release this dirt!

Umadeleine: I can not bear to watch the madness.

I'm borderline belligerent when I talk about it (note the hostility in my words) and latch on to the slightest bit of news regarding the matter. Even rumors. I'm desperate. We all are.

The latest claim does back up the 2 most recent claims of an October 19th US release date (posted HERE and HERE) and we've source Daily Mail plenty of times.

Daily Mail was posting about Rob's pie incident on Cosmopolis June 28th but this excerpt at the very end is what catches the eye 'round these parts:

[Cosmopolis] is set to wrap up in July, before Pattinson commences promotional work for drama Bel Ami in October with co-stars Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci, followed by Breaking Dawn: Part 1 in November.

DuRob: It's about damn time.

Obviously if the October 19th release date is true, Rob would need to promote the film around this time. This is the first we've seen of media mentioning promotional duties and who might be involved. I'll take it. I'll take whatever I can get until this movie hits the big screen.

Official word is on the horizon, ladies. I can feel it in my bones. Maybe I should ask Nick, yes? ;)

Now I wasn't even going to go there. I don't like posting things like this because there's NO way to prove it and you just know these stories spiral out of control. It's a tease!!!

However, the author of the following information tweeted me back after my initial skepticism. I admired their insistence. So let's have fun with it and venture into fantasyland.

Honestly, it's not a stretch if you've read Cosmopolis. ;)

My VERY reliable source tells me that yesterday (June 27, 2011) Robert Pattinson spent naked for about 12 hours save for something covering his privates on the set of Cosmopolis shooting scenes. (Tink: and I die immediately)

As soon as this source said the words naked with Robert Pattinson’s name in the same sentence I kind of blanked out and started drooling a little (lot). I think RPattz was in bed for the majority of that time (clearly it was an in-the-studio shoot) but I can’t be 100% sure. My source? I am totally 100% sure about.

I asked if Robert Pattinson was embarrassed to be laying about with his junk barely covered and source said ‘not at all’ and that RPattz was very cool. (Tink: If he's so not embarrassed, why doesn't he walk around naked in the the streets holding his privates? Huh?)

In fact source told me that RPattz is ‘the nicest guy, very level-headed and not at all affected by show business’. (Tink: Again, proof that he should just walk around naked in the streets. Him not walking around naked proves he's affected by show biz.)

The set of Cosmopolis itself is an amazing place to be (as I’ve heard from others). Oh, and because the source knows how I love dogs, told me that RPattz’s rescue dog is getting so big and is as big a sweetheart just like its owner. (Tink: Awww....Bear gets a shout out. Difficult to concentrate though on cute Bear when the post is about Rob being naked.)

Not earth-shattering news, (Tink: um....yes it is! my earth is a pile of broken glass, everywhere) but just one more reason to wait anxiously for Cosmopolis to hit theatres. Let’s just hope David Cronenberg (who I’m told is amazing) doesn’t CUT those scenes out or down (although I don’t think I can expect the full 12 hours of a naked Robert Pattinson in the film). (Tink: Does DC know we would never leave the theater if he released 12 hours of naked Rob? Do the studios realize THIS is the golden ticket?)
