"2013: This was a pretty quiet year, work-wise. Having said that, I did do one of the most intense films I’ve ever done – David Michod’s “The Rover” (Jan – March) with Rob Pattinson. Personally, I think the film’s amazing. David’s a unique director and the film is extremely evocative. (...) The Rover was a fascinating project and it was unreal to work with David again after Animal Kingdom. Great to see Rob in action too. His performance is utterly brilliant and heartbreaking."Click for full size:

'Pearce found film shoots the perfect place to write songs: “No dogs to walk, no family to visit”. But it was always done somewhat in secret. Which begs the question; who else is in this secret songwriter society? Who is the best actor slash songwriter too self-conscious to “come out”? “Rob Pattinson,” Pearce says, naming the Twilight megastar he recently acted alongside in The Rover. If you want to read the full interview with Guy head over HERE.
“He’s got an amazing voice and his songs are really contemporary.”'
"Guy Pearce expects Robert Pattinson to become the "biggest movie star in the world".Check out the full interview over at Yahoo
The 47-year-old actor appears alongside the 'Twilight' star in thriller film 'The Rover' and he believes the hunk's great looks and superb acting ability can enable him to become the best in the industry if he puts his mind to it.
He said: "I'd met Robert briefly one Comic Con a couple of years ago and told him he was great - I'd only seen one of his films, 'Water For Elephants'.
"He's as interested in delving into character as much, if not more, than I am.
"I thought, 'This guy's totally my cup of tea.' Then I put two and two together and went, 'Hang on, he looks like that, he's that famous and he's this good .... Seriously, if he doesn't become the biggest movie star in the world there's something wrong.'
"Amazing as an actor and amazing looking - what a combination."

'Hollywood: a land possessed by poisonous personalities; a place rammed wall-to-wall with bitterly over-indulged souls who have it all and still want more; a toxic environment in which glamour has been eroded by addiction and desperation. Or at least that’s how David Cronenberg’s caustic satire paints it.
The mass of personality defects on display throughout Maps To The Stars gives it the feel of slick soap opera amplified to sick extremities: its characters rejoice when the tragedy of others sparks a personal resurrection; pop pills like Polo mints; and treat their fans like parasitic carriers of disease. If this film so much as touches on reality, ol’ Dave has probably alienated the majority of his industry contacts.' Ben Hopkins
"With apologies to Robert Pattinson (and his legion of fans) who is very, very good in this movie, and continues to prove and reinvent himself in each new role, Guy Pearce owns "The Rover."Read it in Full over at Indiewire
The actor has revealed he jammed with Russell Crowe when they worked together on L.A. Confidential and years later, he sang with co-star in The Rover Robert Pattinson, who he describes as a “great songwriter”.Click HERE to watch the video of Guy talking about Rob. He starts after the 3:40 mark in the second video.
“We had a few good plays,” said Pearce of his music sessions with Crowe. “I mean I’m not a great guitarist to be honest, Russell’s a much more formidable guitarist than I am, but we sat and compared notes and played a few songs together at times”.
“You know I’ve done that with a few actors along the way — Rob Pattinson is a really great songwriter, so on the road we had a bit of time together playing music.”
