Well I can honestly say I’ve been waiting for this day for a very long time. Sydney please show your support of Rob by coming along to this special screening of Little Ashes at The Ritz Cinema, Randwick at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 9 December 2009. This is the first time Little Ashes has been screened in Australia. The Ritz have put a lot of faith in RPAU so I’m counting on you to show them how much we want to see Rob’s indie films. Seriously if you haven’t seen Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of Salvador Dali, then I can’t urge you enough to come along - you will not be disappointed. Even if you have seen it, as I have countless times, there is nothing like seeing Rob on the big screen. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online by simplying clicking HERE. Oh man! Real life got in the way of my Little Ashes Movement and it sucks! I'll try to update this more often from now on :)) If you have sent ANY information in the past 2 weeks please re-send them. I have 6402 emails in my inbox and I don't think I can fish the Little Ashes news out :)) THANK YOU for all the support towards Little Ashes. Thanks for all the calls and emails. Please keep them going! Fans made a HUGE difference in the distribution of this movie and we can make it happen in places that did not see the light yet! Just focus on the end game. Robvador on big screeen :)

The Little Ashes Official Site lists the OPENING DATE of a week-long theatrical run. These are not one night screenings as many posts are indicating.
Unless noted otherwise, or listed under “Events,” these are week-long theatrical runs.
Of course, it should be noted that theaters base their decision to hold a movie longer than the first week entirely on their business for Friday and Saturday, so it’s always important to support an independent film on its opening weekend. There are too many films competing for screen space and those who say “we’ll catch it next weekend” are often disappointed.

I wanted to share this comment from Alayne because I think it represents the love and dedication people have for Rob and his work. It shows why Little Ashes Movement worked. Maybe it's the birthday blues, maybe it's waking up to a love fest by all of you but I was really touched and had tears when I read it. (Thanks for all the BDay wishes;))
I am not encouraging you to follow Alayne's advice nor am I discouraging. I am however encouraging all of you to go to the cinemas tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday to see Little Ashes, I wish I could ;)

GODZE (love your blog), I would love your opinion and the opinion of the wonderful ROBsessors on this thought I have. I live in Wilmington NC and Little Ashes is not playing this weekend anywhere even close to where I live but I want to support the movie, especially on this opening weekend. So I was thinking of purchasing tickets to a showing, via Fandango, at a theater that is showing it in another state. Obviously I won't be able to use the tickets but atleast my purchase of the tickets would go towards the opening weekend "stats". I am just concerned that my purchasing the tickets would keep someone else from seeing the movie (if it sells out). I thought of purchasing the tickets last minute to either a early matine or really late night showing.... what do you think. I really want to support this movie and Rob and am so frustrated that I can't do it locally.
Also, it is driving me crazy as I look at what is playing at any theater within 400 miles of my home this weekend to try and find Little Ashes and I keep seeing 17 Again and Hannah Montana ARGGGHHH... makes me want to rip my eyes out... hehe
Any opinions and thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Due to a family emergency I can not update the site today but I had to pop in because the Little Ashes Movement is SO close to my heart and I can't let 1 day go without a post. My fabulous partner Dani will be on everything about Rob but until then...

Here is a video Maria sent us. It is from a Spanish TV channel and is in...wait for it...Spanish :)
She said: Apparently it aired on october in a newscast. At the beginning it's talking about the scene in which Lorca meets Dali at the student's residence, which happened in real life. Then it says that the movie gives us an inside look on the complex and intense relationship between these three geniuses of the Spanish culture. Then it shows Javier Beltran talking about how with this movie they tried to show something more than just the myths and legends about these characters, and show how they really were. In the end it just talks about some photographs of Buñuel being shown at the festival of Valladolid, where the movie was first screened in Spain.
Jorja tells us that the Los Angeles - Landmark Regent Theater says they are going to decide on whether or not to show the movie today! We've previously listed it as a SCORE, I don't know what made them change it, please call Jeremy Willis 626-799-1824 and tell them you'd like to see the movie there if you live in the area!
