This blast from the past post is one of my favourite Robert Pattinson fandom moments ever! Do you remember when the premiere for Cosmopolis screened in Cannes in 2012?





As the applause continued for David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis many of us fans were scouring twitter for the first reactions.  We knew the critics reactions for Cosmopolis would be a turning point for Rob's career.

From Gossip Cop:

Idol’s Eye, starring Robert Pattinson and Robert De Niro, has been canceled, Gossip Cop exclusively confirms.

Here’s an exclusive statement from producers to Gossip Cop: “Due to the criteria for financing not being met by producers, Benaroya Pictures has formally decided to discontinue financing the motion picture titled IDOL’S EYE. The company cannot continue to put its investment at risk and has been forced to stop cash flowing the production.”

It continues, “This is something all of us wanted to avoid, but due to the producers missing a number of financing criteria deadlines that were mutually established by all parties, we were left with no other options. Benaroya Pictures plans to retain the rights of the film and move forward with production on the picture after we generate a revised script and assemble a new filmmaking team.”

 There haven't been any official announcements but Shane Daly who is in the cast of Idol's Eye playing Officer Jones tweeted this today......

Rob's friend, Jamie, and FKA twigs (and Marcus) seemed to also be with him. This is cool because Rob's been a long time fan. :) He rocked a hoodie in London on Christmas Eve in 2012 and we also have this clear pic of WuTangRob.

Rob's mentioned Wu-Tang Clan in interviews before, seen them at Coachella 2013 and that's landed them in our Robert Pattinson Music Club. There's also this great press junket video from Eclipse promo in 2010 when Rob fanboy'd about the group.



We hope he had fun! All signs point to a definite YES.

Queen of The Desert Producer Cassian Elwes tweeted today that the movie won't be showing at either TIFF or Telluride Film Festivals.




I know it's disappointing but I'm sure you'll agree that they should wait until it's 100% ready and don't forget Maps to The Stars will be at TIFF!

Werner Herzog Talks "Queen Of The Desert": "Coordinating all the actors’ schedules has made it difficult" 

A couple of small updates on "Queen of The Desert" & "Mission: Blacklist"



Werner Herzog spoke to the Washington Post while doing promo for his latest project, a short film called “From One Second to the Next,” and mentioned Queen of The Desert :

For his next project, the director of “Into the Abyss” is returning to death row for a follow-up to his “On Death Row” series, and he’s still hoping to make a film about the life of Middle East pioneer Gertrude Bell starring Naomi Watts and Robert Pattinson titled “Queen of the Desert.” He said coordinating all the actors’ schedules has made it difficult.

And not so much an update but Dylan Kussman (the screenwriter for Mission:Blacklist) tweeted this today:

Mr Bongarcon just loves to tease us, doesn't he? And today he tweeted this little titbit from his upcoming interview with Robert Pattinson in "Sport & Style".

Rob boxing isn't a new thing though. Taylor Lautner remarked how Rob boxed a lot in his time off in THIS interview in 2009 and Nathan Mellalieu (who trained Rob & co for "New Moon") spoke about Rob being a good boxer (HERE) and also said "He has great hand speed and footwork and seemed to really enjoy the sessions" (More HERE)

Yesterday we had the pleasure to see in advance the new move add of the Dior Homme fragrance with its new face in action: Robert Pattinson.

Evidently, we don't have the video to show you, as Dior jealously guards those images of Rob.

Patience, you will have to wait until September 1st to discover the new movie add in its several formats for television and cinema (20 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds and 1 minute and 30 seconds). But in particular, it's the online movie that lasts 1 minute and 40 seconds (1 minute and 40 seconds of feast for the eyes) that will delight all Twilight fans. Even the non-fans, for that matter.(Kate: I'm still holding out for that 5 min movie (like Jude's). Wishful thinking? Guess we'll have to wait and see)

What we can tell you (alas, without showing you) is that in this add, the British actor plays an exuberant, uninhibited, seductive and mysterious young man. In short, a role that suits Pattinson to a T and that he plays with class. He runs through the city, he dances. You can feel that the hero of the Twilight saga enjoyed shooting this movie by the talented Romain Gavras (Costa-Gavras's son), who already directed several short movies, video clips and tv ads for some fragrances.

What you need to know: the Dior Homme fragrance, a male woodsy and spicy scent that turns out to be elegant and sexy with its heart of amber and iris of Tuscany, seems to have found its perfect representation in Robert Pattinson.

To sum up, bring on September 1st!
