"Ruby Jerins Is Phenomenal" - Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart doesn't quell Robert Pattinson's self-conscious, hair-pulling tendencies.

Neither does Peter Facinelli, Taylor Lautner or Emilie de Ravin. That honor goes to none other than the actor's 11-year-old Remember Me costar, Ruby Jerins.

"She's so easy to act with," Rob tells E! News. "It's the first time since I've been doing acting that I've felt completely un-self-conscious because I could feel that she wasn't at all. That completely rubs off on me."

That's not the only superlative the Twilight hottie had for the girl who plays his little sister.

"She's phenomenal," he continues. "On the first day I met her, me, Allen [Coulter, the director] and Emilie were sitting around discussing our scenes together and she hadn't really said anything. I kind of asked just to be nice. I was just like, 'So, what do you think about it?' And she's sitting there and goes into this whole diatribe about her character's backstory in the most interesting way. And she'd been writing notes on all the stuff we were saying and was quoting what we were saying to us."

"She's incredible," Emilie agrees, admitting that she and the child star have remained pen-pals over email. "She's just amazing in the film and she's a very, very smart girl. You can just watch her and you can forget what you're meant to be doing."

So could she be the next big child star like Rob's New Moon pal, Dakota Fanning?

"She's going to be a massive actress I think," he says. "She's the best improviser I've ever met. You can literally say anything to her and she'll completely stay in character."

And yet, much to Rob's surprise and chagrin, the Nurse Jackie starlet is still totally a kid.

"She's this hyper-intelligent, hyper-mature kid but I saw her play, and she's like a little girl when you see her with her friends. I don't understand how that happens at all."

"There's something about her—one of those indescribable things," Emilie says.

Ruby Jerins Steals Robert Pattinson's Acting Thunder In "Remember Me"

As usual there are some spoilers in this! Read with caution!

Confession Time – I was never a fan of Robert Pattinson. I am basing that assessment on the actor’s most famous role to date, the lovelorn vampire Edward in the “Twilight” films. I thought he delivered wooden performances in both movies. (Kate: Hmm obviously never checked out his other movies but i'm gonna hold my tongue because I have a feeling you've changed your mind after seeing "Remember Me". Am I right?)

But after watching Pattinson in the new film “Remember Me,” I can now honestly say, I’m intrigued by this actor. He carried the movie from its shaky start to its heart wrenching conclusion. (Kate: Ah ha thought so!!)

Unlike his “Twilight” co-star, Taylor Lautner, Pattinson is making brave career choices. While Lautner will soon be busy working on standard thrillers like “Abduction” or sure-fire blockbusters like “Stretch Armstrong,” Pattinson will bury himself in art-house films like “Bel Ami” and “”Water for Elephants.”

Some girls get to have all the fun: adorable moppet Ruby Jerins is only 11-years-old, but she's already spent serious professional time on set with grownup Hollywood hotties Leonardo DiCaprio (meow) and Robert Pattinson (swoon). The pint-sized actress can be seen in double on the big screen right now — she's playing Leo's haunting daughter in "Shutter Island" and Robert's little sis in the much-anticipated "Remember Me" (and in the process, causing an epidemic of covetous envy in the seething hearts of women twice her age.) (Kate: Make that three times her age and you're a bit nearer {blush})

MTV News caught up with Ruby at the premiere of "Remember Me" to find out how she handled the pressure of logging screen time with two such ravishing hunks of man-meat. But if you were hoping for squealing glee, too bad: she's every inch the professional! Refusing to pick sides, Ruby told us how honored she was to work with both A-list actors before politely changing the subject to more age-appropriate fare: her wonderful and supportive friends.
