Apology for the redirects

Dear readers,

One of our friends informed us that for the last couple of days when she clicked on the pictures on ROBsessed she was being redirected to a phishing site. After some research we found out that the "sitemeter" widget we had at the bottom of the page was to blame. We had this widget since we founded our site in 2008,  but unfortunately there are a lot of reports on the internet that the widget is no longer safe.

We removed it immediately and did a malware scan on our site, it's completely clean. You can safely browse :)

UPDATE: We got an email saying there was also a "pop-up" problem. When the pop-up is loading there should be a website link displayed somewhere on the page. If you can see that link, please email us so that we can solve the issue.

UPDATE 2: We found the guilty "pop-up" app and removed it but it may take a couple of hours for it to get back to normal :) Thanks for the support!

Free for All But At What Cost?

Hello,

I'm going to interrupt the ROBsession for a serious post.

We have been trying to walk a fine line between everything about Robert Pattinson. Try not to take any sides, try to be fair, try not to censor...try to be suggestive but never crude. We might fail but we try.

We don't take anything lightly least of all the comments and the email tips/suggestions.

We have done "please observe proper crassness" posts in the past but we can't seem to get through to some people. So last week someone suggested we do a "free for all" post. We did and it got SO out of control that I HAD TO remove it. I'm not blaming anyone for the turn that thread took but myself, I told people to go nuts and they did. I was trying to find a solution but it turned out to be the wrong one.

This is not an adult blog and we don't want to be forced by blogger to add that warning to our blog. OUR posts do not need that warning, we are very careful.

I BEG YOU to stop turning the comments section into a place where people cringe away from. Be suggestive, be playful we are ALL about that! You don't need to go all NC17 on others. We don't delete comments, you know that, we respect YOU is it too much to ask for a little bit respect back? And not just to us and your fellow ROBsessors but to Robert Pattinson. Think about this: if the things said in those comments were written about an actress you all would react to it much more differently than you do now. If those comments were made about you, you'd be running to the police.

Thank you in advance for your understanding... A couple of hours till the BAFTA's, let's all enjoy it together because it's all about Rob...always about Rob...

Are Your Comments Being Deleted?

Hi again,

I got some emails and tweets asking me why I deleted their comment. I did not/do not delete comments easily. As I said before censorship is against what we believe in.

I think I deleted a total of maybe 10 comments in the past year and they were either of pornographic nature or the person has been warned many times before. Every time I deleted a comment I told the person whose comment was deleted.

I think there's a glitch in blogger that's deleting the comments since they seem to reappear after some time. If anyone, including yourself, deletes a comment it's gone forever, there's no recovery option for deleted comments. So it was definitely not me deleting them.

If your comment gets deleted please contact us at robsessedtips@gmail.com and we'll try to look into it.

Observing Proper Crassness

Hi guys,

We try to keep things light, fluffy and fun here at ROBsessed. We love Robert Pattinson, we respect him and try to do our best to inform people about him.

Unfortunately sometimes people cross the line in the comments and that gives all of us a bad name. We don't censor. It's against what we believe in. I started Robsessed because we were censored at another blog for nothing in particular.

Please don't abuse our good will by posting hateful messages towards Robert Pattinson or his costars, friends. Please don't abuse our good will by posting NC-17 rated stuff. YOU might think it's funny but others don't want to read about your sexual habits, fantasies, thoughts IN DETAIL. Suggestion is okay, we use a LOT of suggestion as well but don't be crude. Before posting think about this: "Would you say those things to a perfect stranger?" if no then please don't post it in the comments.



I'm sorry for this mod post, I hate making them but we have been getting emails about this and have heard our name is being dragged through the mud in other blogs/boards.
