It’s the age of The Wild West, circa 1870. An affluent pioneer, Samuel Alabaster (Robert Pattinson) ventures deep into the American wilderness to reunite with and marry the love of his life, Penelope (Mia Wasikowska). For his journey he brings Butterscotch, a miniature horse intended as a wedding present for his bride, and enlists drunkard Parson Henry (David Zellner) to conduct the ceremony. As they traverse the lawless frontier their once simple journey grows treacherous, and the lines between hero, villain, and damsel are blurred.
A loving reinvention of the western genre from the Zellner brothers (Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter), DAMSEL showcases their trademark unpredictability, off-kilter sense of humor, and unique brand of humanism.The film opens in the US June 22nd and you can sign up on the website for screenings and offers.

This is too sweet. Jamie and Rob go a bit back and she also was at The Rover premiere in Los Angeles to support. Now she shared this little story that makes you go ahhh and also smugly nod like, "Yup. There's a reason I'm ROBsessed. This is just one of them."

3. Her new gig as a choreographer
King recently organized The Final Chapter, an evening of dance and interactive poetry that took place in LA. “I was talking to Rob Pattinson right when he first started dating [FKA] Twigs, and he wanted to take her to anything that had to do with dance,” she recalls. “I was trying to find something for him and I realized we in Los Angeles have very little live performance art. So I said, if other people aren’t making it happen, I want to make it happen.”
King chose the music and co-choreographed the performances with 18-year-old dancer Haley Messick; the evening was, naturally, a hit. “I intend to continue to move into this dance space and bring more of it into Los Angeles,” she says eagerly.

It wasn't a clear win at first but the Coachella music festival edged out Bobby Long and the Justin Timberlake/Jay Z concert with 29% of the vote! Rob is a big music lover and what better place for him to take in many great artists than a music festival. Oh if only we could literally put our faces there. ;)

Holy smokes! Rob went Jay Gatsby on us last night and threw a birthday party in honor of his friend, Nick Jarecki.
