In an interview with L'Express recently Nan Goldin spoke about photographing Robert Pattinson for Dior.
It's not the first time she compared Rob to the painter Paul Cadmus. She remarked it in an interview last year with LeMonde and also in that interview she said these nice things about Rob...... "What interests me about him is his person. Robert is a lovely boy, so sweet, he loves playing guitar. Music is his natural element, probably more than cinema."
If you missed that interview last year you can catch it HERE
From L'Express:
I loved taking pictures of women like Kate Moss naked on a horse, or Tilda Swinton, covered with hide. In front of them, I am in "caress" mode. I also enjoyed photographing Robert Pattinson for Dior, in a harsh light. He looks like a portrait of the painter Paul Cadmus exposed at the Brooklyn Museum in New York (see left)... Same brown hair, same blue eyes ... Nothing of him synonymous with "pretty".
Thanks to PattinsonArtWork for the translation and Flavia for the heads up!
