FIRST LOOK 'The Rover' Teaser Trailer With Robert Pattinson & Guy Pearce
Oh who are we trying to kid, it's not possible to stay calm.
It's time for The Rover teaser trailer. Yes the wait is OVER!
I hope you made all those arrangements that you needed to! Get comfortable....................
Here's the synopsis of The Rover:
A
post-apocalyptic western about a lone wolf drifter who joins forces
with a wounded man to pursue a sadistic band of thieves. A decade after
the collapse of the western world, Australia has become a lawless
wasteland. As desperate outsiders pillage the country’s precious mineral
resources, taciturn Eric (Guy Pearce) travels from town to town
searching for signs of life. Then, one day, Eric falls prey to vicious
thieves who steal his car. In the process of making their getaway, the
thieves abandon Rey (Robert Pattinson), their wounded partner-in-crime.
Meanwhile Eric vows to reclaim his most treasures possession by whatever
means necessary, and forces Rey to help him track down the men who left
him for dead.
WOW well what did you think of that then?
I'm sure you'll agree after looking at this that we are in for one hell of a ride with this movie. I think you can tell even from this small teaser that Rob seems to have the part of vulnerable Rey down to a tee! And what about the haunting voice of Guy Pearce as Eric saying: "The feeling that you have when you wake up in the morning. When your
feet touch the floor. Or before that, when you’re lying there thinking
about your feet hitting the floor. What feeling do you have? What does
that feel like for you?” It's such a perfect tease and is definitely leaving us wanting more! Don't forget to head over to You Tube and give it a big thumbs up. A24 also released a new still of Guy Pearce as Eric. Head over to our sister site TheRoverFilm to see it.
I made some screencaps of the teaser (like the one below) which you can check outHERE and you can also download zip files of the screencaps at that link too.

ROBsessed Giveaway: Who won Deceptive Innocence + we talked to Kyra Davis about Just One Night and Robert in Dior Homme!
Last week, we announced the winners of JUST ONE NIGHT with Robert and promised to bring you guys an interview with the author, Kyra Davis. But before we get to that, we have to find out who won our worldwide giveaway for an eBook of Kyra's DECEPTIVE INNOCENCE!
Congratulations! We'll contact you about receiving your eBook. Thanks to all who participated and if you'd like to know more about the book, click HERE to read the synopsis for DECEPTIVE INNOCENCE and the buy link for the book is at the bottom of the post.
Now on to our interview with Kyra Davis. Clearly you guys can understand the influence behind the first question. ;)
First things first. You had me at Robert. And Robert wearing Dior Homme. ;) What was your inspiration behind creating this character and the life he lives, the career he's built?
I knew someone who was a little like Robert. A very wealthy, self-made businessman from seriously messed up beginnings who, despite his influence and power, had managed to isolate himself through his own ambitions and his inability to compromise or play by anyone else's rules. He was sort of a case-study. So I elaborated on that, used him as a jumping off point and then shaped the man I wanted to shape in the way I wanted to shape him. That's the awesome thing about writing fiction. I get to be a little like Frankenstein and take bits of different people and then add whatever else I need to make things more interesting and exciting...except unlike Dr. Frankenstein, the guys I create are hot.
Brady Corbet Praises Robert Pattinson's Career Choices & Talks About 'A Childhood Of A Leader'

Robert Pattinson spotted at a photography shop in London + movie updates for Life and The Lost City of Z
Rob's Life costar, Dane DeHaan, recently shared that he's working with a dialect coach to master James Dean's voice. These tweets today from a London based photography shop, Mr Cad, make us wonder if Rob is picking up a new hobby or doing some Dennis Stock research for Life as well.
Just served Robert Pattinson!!!!!!
— Mr Cad Photographic (@MrCadUK) January 22, 2014
Just served Robert Pattinson - Never know which a-listers you'll bump into at Mr Cad.....!!
— Mr Cad Photographic (@MrCadUK) January 22, 2014
That's very cool! Mission: Blacklist won our recent poll for which Rob film you're looking forward to him filming (click HERE to see the results) but Life is my number one. The thought of Rob prepping to play Dennis Stock by, pardon the pun, stocking up on photography gear and learning he craft excites me. From personal experience, Rob's a great photographer. He made sure I got a good picture with him since my hands were vibrating phalanges. But I'm assuming much. Maybe Papa Pattinson asked him to go pick up some film. LOL
Another fun bit of Life news is from the director, Anton Corbijn, who premiered a film at Sundance (A Most Wanted Man). From the NYT:
He was only at Sundance for two days, heading directly to the set of his next production, “Life,” in Toronto. It’s the story of the relationship between James Dean and the Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock (played by Dane DeHaan and Robert Pattinson, respectively).
We know the film is shooting in February but all the main players clearly getting prepped is just putting a spring in my step. Bring on 1950sRob! It's one of my favorite eras.
Not much else going on with the other films. Benedict Cumberbatch also mentioned prepping for The Lost City of Z (click HERE to read) and stating that it will be his next film. The last word on principal photography was summer 2014. No updates for Mission: Blacklist or The Childhood of a Leader. We are watching out for updates on the latter thought because the director, Brady Corbet, was also at Sundance for The Sleepwalker. Queen of the Desert is still filming and Nicole Kidman and James Franco have been spotted. No word on Rob's schedule on the set. And lastly, and sadly, Hold On To Me was removed from Rob's IMDb page. We removed it from our sidebar but we'll have to wait and see if it resurrects for Rob or turns into Unbound Captives.
NEW: Robert Pattinson Talks To 'The Wall Street Journal' About Dior & MORE
The Wall Street Journal talk to Robert Pattinson about promoting Dior and if you wondered what Rob's favourite way is to wear the fragrance then have a read below.
Also Rob's Dior commercial makes its American television debut in February, during the Olympics!!
Since premiering in Europe last September, Robert Pattinson's steamy Romain Gavras–directed fragrance commercial for Dior Homme has generated more than 15 million views on YouTube. When the black-and-white short, starring the 27-year-old Twilight-saga heartthrob makes its American television debut in February, during the Olympics, that number should increase exponentially. (Kate: I'll say! Go Rob) Pattinson's steely glances are being repurposed to promote Dior Homme Eau for Men, a fresh new grapefruit and coriander-spiked riff on the heady, iris-laden original scent that hits shelves exclusively in the U.S. in February.
"I like trying to do ambitious things," says Pattinson. Pairing the Parisian luxury brand with Gavras's "violent and visceral" approach was his idea. (The director's infamous 2010 video for M.I.A's "Born Free" was pulled from YouTube for its graphic content.) "That's what got me really enthusiastic about the campaign, that [Dior] wasn't shying away from anything." Pattinson's beauty contract has afforded him a few other perks. "I was a brush-your-teeth-and-have-a-shower kind of guy. I can't tell if it's because of my association with Dior or because I'm older, but I've started moisturizing," he says, calling out the brand's Dermo System Repairing Moisturizing Emulsion as his current skin salve of choice. With a tinge of sarcasm, he adds, "It's been a quite profound change in my life." As for the fragrance he fronts, Pattinson likes it best in shower-gel form. Other musts include Nudie jeans and "old Hanes T-shirts," he says. "There are stores that sell these sweat-stained T-shirts for like $80. It's a weird cult!"
Up next for the British-born star is director David Cronenberg's Maps to the Stars—a "darkly comedic Hollywood satire ghost story," according to Pattinson. He also has projects with Werner Herzog and Anton Corbijn in the works. "This year, I'm trying to see what my niche is."

POLL: What Robert Pattinson film are you looking forward to him completing in 2014?
With less than 24 hours to go in the heated Round 2 MTV Movie Brawl (CLICK HERE TO VOTE), I know you guys might be poll'd out but I was curious about the ROBsessed consensus on something we covered during 365DoR for Rob's workload in 2013.
If all goes according to plan, Rob will be filming 5 movies in the first 6 months of the year! It's an ambitious calendar but we're not complaining. All work and no play hardly makes Rob a dull boy. So of all the films, which one are you looking forward to the most? I know we want them alllllll but which story/character do you have your fingers and toes crossed that it stays on Rob's schedule?
Queen of the Desert - filming now, Rob will play T.E. Lawrence in Werner Herzog's story about Gertrude Bell. Rob is in a supporting role but he's playing an iconic character and with a director he considers a genius. Life - filming to start in February, Rob will play Dennis Stock, the Life magazine photographer famous for showing an intimate look into the life of James Dean. Rob is in a leading role as we see him play a straight-laced man chasing a rebellious rising star which leads to an unexpected friendship. Fun trivia: The Life script was written by Luke Davies - housemate of David MichĂ´d, Rob's The Rover director.
Mission: Blacklist - filming scheduled for the second quarter, Rob will play real-life hero, Eric Maddox. Another leading role, Rob dives into the historical tale of how a young, brilliant military interrogator assisted in the capturing of Saddam Hussein.
The Childhood of a Leader - filming scheduled for May, not much is known about Rob's role in this film yet but it tracks the childhood of a World War 1 leader. We also know that the movie will reunite Rob with his Cosmopolis co-star, Juliette Binoche, and is the directorial debut of Brady Corbet. Fun Trivia: Brady Corbet was at Rob's Cosmopolis premiere in NYC.
The Lost City of Z - filming this summer, Rob will keep his trend going and play in another true story. We don't know his role in this film either but it's an adventure tale set in the 1920s. Rob will find himself working with another director he admires greatly - James Gray.
Select one or more
We love and support all of Rob's films and can't wait for them to grace the big screen!
Cutie kid to play Robert Pattinson's son in upcoming film, LIFE + filming still scheduled for February

How adorable is this kid? Life is scheduled to start filming in Toronto on Feb. 18th through March 27th. We'll update you if there are any changes.
UPDATE:
Both The Rover and Maps To The Stars are currently losing and need your votes.
We got an email from @Robspromotion and @Cazteamrobert. They're organising a vote-a-thon.
They'll be chatting and voting from 9pm GMT/4pm EST/1pm PST tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.

“He's A Really Smart Guy & Knows Exactly What He Wants To Do To Build The Career That He Wants” ~ David Michod On Robert Pattinson
Our Affiliates RobertPattinsonAustralia were lucky enough to be able to attend Flickerfest in Sydney where they saw none other than David Michod!
You KNOW there was talk about Robert Pattinson and The Rover so here are some excerpts from their report.......
David noticed that his films seemed to be from the perspective of a
child. He thought that The Rover was the first time this wasn’t so,
but then realised that Rob’s character Rey can be considered childlike
in The Rover so maybe he hasn’t really distanced himself from that. (Kate: Childlike ReyRob, God help us all)
After the success of Animal Kingdom he was given the opportunity to
direct other people’s scripts, but he realised what he loved the most
was that he liked to build films himself from the ground up. He worked
on the script of Animal Kingdom for about 10 years (whilst he did other
jobs of course) and he wrote the first draft of The Rover with Joel
Edgerton in about 10 days before he even filmed Animal Kingdom.
I can’t tell you enough how much praise David heaps on Rob. David
said he “loves talented people”. He also said numerous times how smart
Rob is. Really smart. (Kate: God I love this guy. David Cronenberg watch out, you have competition here! :))
David said he he finished The Rover about one to one and a half
months ago and that noone has seen it yet. He wanted to bring a teaser
for us today, but he just wasn’t ready to reveal it yet. (Kate: *cries* I can be patient, yeap I can, I really can. Uh-huh patience is my middle name ;})
He said they are rolling it out and showing it to people over the next
few months. He said he felt the same at the end of The Rover as he did
with Animal Kingdom.
David “absolutely loved the work done by Guy and Rob. They created great characters and loved their performances”. (Kate: Can't wait to see Rob and Guy act together in this and this is making me even more excited)
Congratulations! We certainly hope you enjoy your night with Robert. ;)) We'll contact you via email to send you Robert.
If anyone else is jealous about the glorious night awaiting these two ladies, there's no need. Here's the synopsis of JUST ONE NIGHT with Robert and the Amazon link at the bottom of the post:

Robert Pattinson's Los Feliz home sold to Emmy Award winner, Jim Parsons
Rob's spanish style Los Feliz home closed sale the other day to The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons. Several outlets reported but I first saw it this morning in the LA Times. Last time we posted about Rob's home was for the star-studded birthday bash he hosted for his friend Nick Jarecki. Click HERE for a refresher. If you want to see more pictures of the home-previously-occupied-by-a-GOD, click the LA Times link.
Robert Pattinson has found a warm body and it’s ... Jim Parsons? Yep. The “Twilight” film series vampire has sold his house in Los Feliz for $6.375 million to the star of “The Big Bang Theory.” The 1922 Spanish Colonial-style house has a formal entry, a library/study, a den, three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and 4,026 square feet of space in two stories. Antiqued tile and stone, hand-carved wood and stenciled ceilings maintain the period vibe. The 1.5-acre terraced property, enclosed by walls on a gentle hillside, features a lagoon-style swimming pool, waterfalls and fountains. There are views of the cityscape. Pattinson, 27, starred the 2012 films in "Cosmopolis" and "Bel Ami." He will be in the upcoming films “Maps to the Stars” and “The Rover.” Parsons, 40, has won three Emmys and a Golden Globe award for his work on the sitcom, which premiered in 2007. The home was purchased by Pattinson in 2011 for $6.25 million, according to Trulia and Redfin, which both spotted the closing. A previous owner was Lakers great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. David Gray of Partners Trust Beverly Hills was the listing agent. Ronald Shore of Keller Williams represented Parsons.
