Yes, yes, yes! Bout time this bumbling brainy Brit jumped the pond and landed stateside! The news has got me jumping myself, up and down with glee.... oh Daniel how I love thee!
Spidery legs, clobbery boots, hunched shoulders and the wonky walk - heaven! He never cashed in on the GOF beautiful head boy thing - NO - he did this and How to Be - love him for it.
If you buy this in the US, please feed back - the UK version had no extras - does the US have any? It was a TV drama/comedy so might be unlikely. Also, curious if the US version of How to Be had the audition scenes?
Just read the Amazon blurb about Bad Mothers - it's all about Rob marketing-wise - the rest sounds like a sub-plot!
You know, Tom Cruise has his alter ego - Les Grossman.
I wish Rob would adopt Daniel Gale as his official alter ego ....!
I can see Rob walking on to an awards show to give someone an award in the rainbow jumper, glasses, skinny jeans and a wig (it would have to be now!). For people in the know, he'd bring the house down reading his announcement in character. Oh well, I can dream.
Seriously I wonder if Rob realises how loved his quirky early stuff is - he doesn't talk about them much these days. He better not be embarassed about them - it's what the work adorkable was invented for!
Aussiegirl - what about when he's running indoors when Charlotte's ready to go to the hospital. That running motion is priceless!
Can't believe he said he was miscast - are you sure it wasn't the reviews - apparently it wasn't highly rated - goodness knows why!! Sacriligious Rob - how could he say that!
Adorkably hot. Like Superman in disguise, all Rob needs is some black-rimmed glasses, hair falling in his face, chin tucked down, legs awkwardly carrying you around to convince you he's really a harmless, devoted friend. Yep, SuperRob indeed.
This guy is amazing. He is arguably the most beautiful and sexiest man on the planet, yet...
Doofus up his hair, put a pair of 'chess club' glasses on him and dress him up like a blind brain surgeon and wa[la...he's unrecognisable.
Anybody tells me he can't act, I'll punch 'em in the face. As great a leading man as he is, I swear, his forte just might be playing the sweet, awkward social misfits.
I do hope the Coen Bros. get their hands on him one day. Couldn't you just see him playing a Bill Macy role like in Fargo OR the Nicholas Cage character (Hi McDonough) in Raising Arizona? I can.
Mix it up Rob. play the fuckhawt, panty melting sex god. Then turn around an play a "raging nerd."
Cause SarahBear wants to "hump" that. I'd wanna hump ya if you played a dike on a bike.
When we first switched, I wasn't so sure as it took me a bit to get comfortable with it. I did. I miss it too 'cause it's easier to communicate with one another with it. Hopefully, this is just another snafu that'll get worked out.
Nik--I think he needs a well-written script that either shows a character transformation from dork or innocent to hardened (oh, don't get started folks!!) or severe through growth, expereince, or trauma, or a character that eitehr through work (as a spy) or illness or precarious situation has to change at least in interaction from dork or innocent to severe or at least self-confident.
And boy I wish I lived in America. But I don't.I live in a country I challenge you to find where it is.Honeslty if one of you has ever heard of it I'll throw you a party. It's in Europe and it's called Albania.
I was thinking last night that this country would be an awesome hideout for Rob and Kris.'Cause hardly anyone knows you folks. There are no paparazzi. Some do love you, including myself but what are the odds?So guys ,next time you want a vacation come here.
Sorry about that.Just popped in my mind ,thought I'd share. And I strayed off topic too.
This movie should be epic.I'd love to see it.Think I'll download it as soon as I can find it.Catherine Tate plus Rob equals explosive humor.Have you seen any episode of her show?'Cuz the woman is hysterical. And Rob is a perfect chameleon and an exquisite actor.
I watched this initially for Catherine Tate, she was my favourite Dr Who assistant, but I loved it for Rob/Daniel. I adore that character and I agree that someday he should present an award with Daniel as his alter ego
- how do you think this up - just priceless! (bows in awe and giggles). That's hilarious, I was eating a croissant as I was reading your comment and I nearly choked laughing!!
@Robsessive & Solas: Oooh you have a treat in store, very funny and heartwarming film.
@tgill: We can live in hope he will make an appearance one day as Daniel Gale!! It would cause a riot!
Cant wait to see thi one. Totallyrobbed - answered your question about Jay Leno interview on that earlier thread if you haven't looked there yet. Aussiegirl: yes Disqus is really slow and I like that this is much quicker but miss the fun of being able to reply to someone under their comment and pressing the like button. I hope it comes back

So damn cute. Kinda reminds me of Where's Wally in a couple of them, just needs the hat.
I have never wanted to hump a raging nerd so bad in my life. (Besides my husband.)
