OOOH excitement, he looks devastatingly HOT in this! But for people like me who do not understand technology, I know how to download from itunes but can you then watch it on the computer or does it have to be some other device....*baffled look!*
Hmmm, those of us not in the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany or Italy are out of luck...you van try this linkhttp://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewMovie?id=378549845&s=143441&uo=4
But you won't be able to purchase the movie...Aaaaaargh...somebody put it up on youtube pleeeeeeeze?
Yeap I watched it on my computer. When you download it just vlick on movies at the side and then roll your mouse over the movie and you'll see play movie come up!
Oh loved it. Taluhlah Riley is adorable. Rob beautiful! Plays a typical I'll say anything to get in your pants a**hole. Totally hot. Wish it was longer, but loved it because it was like opening and eating a really really good chocolate truffle!! Cannot WAIT to see more Rob!!!!!!!
Thanks you, Kate, I kiss your feet. After searching under everything I could think of, including short films, I couldn't find it. I'm going to watch now. How silly, it took longer to download than the film itself!
I just downloaded it! I like the atmosphere and music and they established the characters really well. Rob absolutely gorgeous in this. Watching his earlier stuff is like watching another person. And his eyes look like a cat .... or a mountain lion?!
Have ya'll rented Vanity Fair and watched the alternate ending with ROB in all his young British glory??? He's Reese's SON - looks so cute and flawless. It's on the special features part of the DVD. That's all I watched - returning it tomorrow!~!!!
Can't wait to get Summer House - is this aggressive a**hole a foreshadowing of Georges DuRoy???????? yummy.
Someone said he looked like another person - everything I see him in looks like another person - he is quite a chameleon........or would that be...a good actor???
In his brief 2 1/2 minutes on screen, Richard has 3 quite memorable lines (I won't quote them here as to not spoil it for those who have not viewed it yet, but those who have likely know just what I mean) and will make any girl's panties go poof...I would not have been as strong as dear Jane.
so ladies what did you think about the summer house, did you get enough rob,or did you think not enough rob?and that actress,T DOES SHE HAVE GREEN EYES?
Hi ^^ If you are a twilight’s fan, invite you sign in this website http://www.eclipsemeyer.com is an amazing fansite! Here you can reading the breaking news, post news, read and publicate fanfics, chat and more! I wait for you! kisses ^^
Oh Gosh - that is WAY too short - but he of course looked awesome in it and was his gorgeous brooding lovesick self that we all adore. Was hard to hear a few of his comments but headphones and rewinds helped that!!!!! Are we all hopeless or what??
That was the best $1.99 I've spent in a very long time. ;) Don'tcha wish you knew what he said to her at the gate? That voice... those eyes... that jawline... those perfect wavy tendrils...
this might be my fav rob work thus far...everything is good...the film, the acting, his look (yowza!), the role...makes me anxious for bel ami
(in a coincidence, i was just looking up Talulah Riley the other day - she is engaged to Elon Musk, a (very) wealthy south african entrepreneur...he had posted his explanation of his divorce on huff post and it was interesting so i was looking up stuff related to him...)
I don't know if I'd call it a "stirring, beautifully crafted mini masterpiece" like they did ............but it was 2 1/2 minutes of pure euphoria when ROB was on the screen.
They should have named it "Over the Moon" and she should have succumbed to Rob's charms and hit the big O at Neal Armstrong's moment when he said "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind".
Now THAT would have been stirring, beautifully crafted, etc, etc.
@loisada,thank you because romur just saying what i read ok but this thread always have been legit about rob,it's where i first knew about BEL-AMI andWFE everything ok so cut me some slack and take this how you like20th century wants rob and kristen for new X-MEN they already kevin baconthe guy who act in wanted with jolie, and i remember rob saying he would love to act in x-men well here is his chance, taylor leading the teen choice award, out of 12 nomations twilight leading in 11 sorry i did not stick to the topic and sorry about the spelling
Ok, I just watched it. Rob looks so good with a tan, much better than pasty Edward Cullen LOL, but I do have some thoughts.
1. Was that the way Rob really talks? He didn't sound like he does now, but I somehow got the feeling that he doesn't use his real voice for interviews & things. I don't know why I got this impression, but I just always thought that.
2. What the hell was this movie about? Why was she in France? Who were those people? Why was that woman giving off a lesbian vibe & giving her liquor?
3. Did she really get that drunk on one glass of champagne?
4. Did she really get that drunk on one glass of champagne, & NOT want to fuck Rob? Believe me, in my misguided youth I jumped on guys not half as good looking as Rob when I was liquored up LOL Did the lesbianism kick in already?
1 - That is not the way Rob really talks. That is another of his "character voices"
2 - Go read the article. The woman was her aunt. She gave her alcohol to relax her & let her feel more grown up. I didn't get the lesbian vibe.
3 - I don't think she got that drunk on one glass of champagne. It looked to me as if the director was making it look as if time was passing and she had several glasses.
4 - He wasn't Rob in this film, he was Richard, the boy who dumped her & broke her heart.
5 - Again, read the article. The filmmaker wanted a momentous occasion to give the story strength.
I thought this was the best synopsis I read (SPOILER ALERT):
The Summer House is about a moment in a young girl’s life. A turning point, a time for decision: to go back, or go forward?
Jane (Talulah Riley) is seventeen and in rural France visiting her aunt Priscilla (Anna Calder-Marshall) during the hot summer of 1969, the year of the Moon landings. Also staying at this beautiful 19th century chateau, a sleeping beauty of a house, are her aunt’s old flame Freddie Porteous (David Burke), a charming Englishman, and his wife Marie Pierre (Marianne Borgo), a French woman of great sophistication and beauty.
Jane has left behind an unfaithful first love. Several letters have pursued her, letters decorated with hearts to tempt her. The author of these letters, Richard (Robert Pattinson), turns up uninvited. Jane is unaware that her situation is provoking tensions among the older generation, she catches whispers of unspoken somethings at the heart of Freddie and Priscilla’s relationship and she finds Marie Pierre’s allure and passion unsettling.
Jane looks to her role models for advice but Priscilla, Freddie and Marie Pierre have become wrapped up in their own giddy feelings about what it was like to be 17 and in love. At a party to celebrate the moon landings Jane is transformed by Marie Pierre from English mouse to sophisticated woman. Wanting to impress and suspecting Richard might be at the party she holds her head high.
Dizzy from dancing and emboldened by champagne Jane ventures out to the Summer House. Curiosity has got the better of her. Is there a dalliance between her sensible aunt and charismatic Freddie? Instead she is confronted a repentant Richard. He wants her back. She is impossibly tempted, but repelled by his crude attempt to force her.
The romantic ideal of young love becomes crushed by his rough desire and by the giggling arrival of Priscilla and Freddie. Jane is forced to face the disappointment of reality. Troubled by Richard’s motivation and by the apparent immaturity of Priscilla & Freddie, she burns the unopened letters and drops them into a deep well. Her world has changed, expanded; a more complex fairy tale is emerging…

Squeeeeee! Just watched it!
How hot is Richard? So help me if he stuck his hand down the back of my dress, I'd sh** myself.
Will get it tonight when I get back home from work. I wanted to download it this morning, but I'd be late, so I'll have to wait.
Also, bought Remember Me DVD and Eclipse Score (Howard Shore) CD from Sanity.com.au.
I also hope I will be able to by the score for Remember Me, some day :).
I saw Summer House, and Rob is wonderful in it. So sexy! I felt so sorry for him (his part). Thanks for the tip.
I finally was able to download it after some issues with iTunes!!
Great movie, not enough Rob, but still a great short.
Though I could see it being longer!!
Ok, I just watched it. Rob looks so good with a tan, much better than pasty Edward Cullen LOL, but I do have some thoughts.

5. What did Apollo 11 have to do with anything?
6. People dressed like crap in the 60s.
7. Again, What the hell was this movie about?
No Summer House for me either :(. I'm in Australia and can't get it!
I'm SO gutted! :((((
@Marna - go read this article & I think it will answer some of your questions about The Summer House
http://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2010/07/09/robert-pattinson-the-summer-house/
Otherwise I can give you my opinions:
1 - That is not the way Rob really talks. That is another of his "character voices"

5 - Again, read the article. The filmmaker wanted a momentous occasion to give the story strength.
6 - I think some 60s fashion was really cool. ;)
