I just love how Rob plays along with all the stupid questions he gets. He doesn't ever act irritated (and I know I would). LOVED the styling products answer!!!!! HYSTERICAL!!! Also loved the comment about how the pink in his cheeks has "always been there" and it's unhealthy, lol. PATRICIA ARQUETTE???? Seriously????
YES!!!! @Kimmie I was just going to make the Hugh Jackman comment! I never thought about that before! I just knew it didn't look like Rob, but I do see a resemblance to Hugh, lol!
OMG... This is another "thing coming out of my pants" comment... his answers are sometimes so eye-rollingly juvenile. I totally get Kristen's cringing "look."
solas... Yes, an imp indeed!! Must be a reaction to having to give too many interviews.
toysruskid.... I heard Rob comment in an interview months ago that he fell for Patricia Arquette after seeing her in "True Romance." (1993 Quentin Tarrantino film starring Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette)
Yeah, Robsmacked, and I rented True Romance to see what he saw and she was really great in it, a Marilyn Monroe type coquettish busty blonde with a sweet voice.
I love her in Medium.
She ain't NOTHIN' like Kristen.
Also rented Into the Wild to see what he saw in Kristen and I guess it was the 1/2 naked young girl on the bed trying to invite the guy into her room that must have done it, I guess.
he looks completely drained geesh he must have done a ton of interviews in one day.. am I the only one that notices that there have been like 20 different interviews with him wearing the same shirt?? smh poor Rob but he still manages to keep smiling and joking around through it all [sigh] what a man..WHAT A MAN :)
Oh no - I heard Rob say in one of the other videos on this link with Access Hollywood that he really liked not having so much hair .....Edward might just have a haircut in BD!!!!!! oh NO, please don't Rob. I like it longer so much better. Say it ain't so, please!!
@ChocoMartiniGal @LeslieHeartsRob they just had us stand there & scream! We screamed, LMAO! about 6 hours ago via API
Angie was also interviewed by entertainment weekly!!!! about 6 hours ago via API woo hoo!!! NBs were just profiled with Reelz Channel!!! supposed to be on tomorrow I think!!!
As soon as he said this I busted out laughing thinking...'Rob, Rob, Rob, now they're gonna say you got snot in your hair'. He never learns, does he? What a noodle. God, I love him.
And Cherry... The reason you see him in the same clothes is that they sit him down in a room for hours and one by one, these reporters come in for 5-10 minutes and ask him essentially the same things over and over. I don't know how he sits there without blowing a gasket. I remember one of his funniest and most memorable answers was...
After being asked for the umpteenth time 'how do you get your hair like that?' he replied that he gets '12 year old virgins to lick it'. That is still maybe his best quote yet. That mind of his. You got it right Solas. That child is an imp.
As for the short hair... As much as I love the 'bed head', this short hair makes him look more like a real grown up movie star. When he walked out onto The Tonight Show with in that gorgeous suit, with that hair, I said...'now THAT'S a movie star'. He had the bearing of young Clooney.
And the thing is, if BD starts filming about a month after he finishes WFE (which is what they're guesstimating), that may not be enough time to get it back to what it was and I'd much rather see Edward with short hair than in a wig. Ugh. I'd scream.
Besides...Edward Cullen (like Rob) is growing up. He's getting married and becoming father (uh...Edward, not Rob) and the short hair does mature him. I could absolutely see Edward getting his hair cut for the wedding. I don't know if Summit will go for it, but no one can deny that he looks just as gorgeous and even more mature with the short hair. Wouldn't bother me if he kept it short from here on out. And...he likes it too.
I know emma. If he wasn't as cute as he is (not just his looks, but his personality), he could never get away with this stuff. And there's usually a little broohaha when he says something dumb, but it always blows over because...he's just so damn cute about it all. I mean, how many silly things has he said over the course of the past couple of years of so? And nothing sticks. Just HIM. He sticks.
Well – it’s the sort of answer that might put someone off asking that question again…lol
@femroc: About In the Wild: you don’t think it was also the scenes where Tracy sings, solo and with Chris at the gigs? I thought Kristen was incredibly appealing when she was performing, and luved that she co-wrote Tracy’s Song. Not denying the seductive aspect in the trailer… ;)
"this short hair makes him look more like a real grown up movie star"
Yes, but Edward is still seventeen. Rob already looks like a man, he needs to look younger. The longer hairstyle is Edward's signature. It's a trademark. You don't mess with that. I'm all for the bouffant, why not? :) Rob should understand that he is playing the part of the perfect Edward, I know that he feels uncomfortable looking like a doll, but it's just a part of the game. He should do everything in his power to separate Edward from Robert. I don't really like his bushy eyebrows on Edward, and the scruffy clothes. I like them on Robert though. Mr Patiinson, please, grow the hair back for Edward !
"If he wasn't as cute as he is (not just his looks, but his personality), he could never get away with this stuff." - exactly! :D He promised to cut the cringeworthy stuff (on Ellen?), but I guess it's not that easy ;)
I see your point emma about the hair as it has become signature for the character and it is Edward's most human feature. I'm just thinking that it just might not be long enough, unless they give him another month to grow it back and hold off till November to start filming. I keep hearing October, then November. Who knows? But if push comes to shove, I still say I'd rather see Edward with short hair than in a wig. And you can bet the farm that if Rob has to wear a wig (even if just for a month of filming) in addition to the contacts and the kabookee makeup, he's gonna be screaming. Suck it up baby. You're gonna be making a kajillion dollars. LOL!
But it's not like they can't change his hair a bit. Hell, they change Jackson's wig in every film. And if his performance in BD is rejected simply because of his hair, well...then he hasn't done a very good job in the role, has he? I mean, are people that shallow that if his hair isn't as it's always been, they'll lose sight of what it is he's doing up on that big screen? I can't believe that. If a few less inches of hair can ruin his portrayl of Edward, then he's failed as an actor.
It's always cringy to watch silly moments if people take themselves too seriously or if they're awkward, but not him, could he care less what he says even if it causes a big debate (like the vagina comment)? Nope!
I don't think he hangs on or ponders too much about mistakes and that's a fantastic quality. He is pretty fearless, just like his sister described him.
I don't think he'll ever lose that immature sense of humour. I hope not, at least. I love his shameless stories about urine, vaginas, modesty patches, lube and snot. (Did I forget anything?) Oh, and the unaffected-by-sun story is a little hard to believe. His skin does look rather sunkissed after working on WFE. But oh well, guess it's possible.
'I still say I'd rather see Edward with short hair than in a wig.' agreed :) 'And you can bet the farm that if Rob has to wear a wig in addition to the contacts and the kabookee makeup, he's gonna be screaming.' I can hear the ROAR already :D 'And if his performance in BD is rejected simply because of his hair, well...I mean, are people that shallow that if his hair isn't as it's always been, they'll lose sight of what it is he's doing up on that big screen?' - yes, people are that shallow. The majority of them. We have to remember that this is the Twilight saga we are talking about, some things are sacred. They want him to be perfect, uber sexy etc and he has to oblige or else there will be an outcry or dismissal. He is quite lucky that the majority of the Twihards like him as Robert and treat him 'leniently'. He can get away with many things, but he would be better off as their wet dream. He has to embrace it :)
When I heard Robert make the comment about his hair products I thought about what Kristen said about Robert liking to shock people. Then I thought about what he said about thinking before he opened his mouth on the Ellen show. I thought it was funny and weird. Maybe he is tired of people constantly asking about his hair. He wants to be known for his acting skills and not his hair.
Unless his metabolism has chanaged drastically, his hair grows pretty quckly, doesn't it? I mean this is a lad you can see the facial hair difference on in a few hours, and who shaved all of his hair which did grow back n a short amount of time.
WFE will wrap in the next couple of weeks, and Breaking Dawn actually doesn't start principal filming until October, so there's actually plenty of time for Rob to grow his "Edward" hair back.
How is it possible that WFE will wrap in just two more weeks? They haven't even gone inside the studio to shoot the interiors. And there's a scene at the end of the story which I will not mention as that would be a MAJOR spoiler (and it is THE scene of the film) that I would imagine could take a couple of weeks alone to film. And that one would definitely be an interior shot.
Several weeks back someone said that this film was suppose to wrap the second week of July and I just couldn't believe that because with it's late May start, that would give it about a seven week shoot.
It took them about 2 months to shoot Twilight, 2 and 1/2 to shoot New Moon and 3 to shoot Eclipse AND it took him 11 weeks to finish Bel Ami; a simple little costume drama with no complicated shots to set up. This is nothing but complicated shots and I just cannot fathom how they can film a story such as this in just seven weeks time.
I'm guessing that this early July wrap is for the locations shoots and then they'll retreat inside the studio for the interiors.
And according to that script (and yes, scripts change), unless they're going to recreate on a soundstage one of the great landmarks of the world, they've got a location shoot in NYC.
In a spot where the papps can't get anywhere near him to ruin the shot.
Besides, Rob himself said that he starts BD about a month after he finishes the film he's currently working on.
And no, a month is not enough time to go from 'Jacob' hair to 'Edward' hair. He'll need another month. Or...it's a wig for that first month or so of shooting.
Or Edward Cullen gets a friggin' haircut for his wedding. He wouldn't be the first man to cut his hair for such an event. And just because something isn't in the book doesn't mean it can't be in a film. Remember, this is an ADAPTATION. Although...
You're right emma, with the shallowness of this fandom, they'd have heart attacks if Edward didn't have his 'hair'.
Something to be aware of if you're going to be a fan of an actor. Don't get too attached to their hair. Their hair doesn't belong to them. It belongs to the roles their playing.
OR they shoot scenes wthout Edward (wolves running around, Alice and Jasper searching for the missing links, Bella going to get the documents, etc) until ROb's hair grows the way they want it, if they don't give Edward a wedding haircut.
If anyone is still around this thread, I hate how fast things go when Kate posts early in the AM, and some of us don't go on until later in the day, nevermind waiting until evening EDT. Regarding his hair, how long is the time span in WFE? Don't recall Jacob going to the barber for a trim on the Circus Train, but could have missed it (as I do a lot of things). If he did not, then realistically Jacob's hair will have grown some from beginning to end of story and will be longer - unless they need reshoots. Don't think it will be a "problem" for BD. Nik is right, it's about the character, NOT the hair, even short Rob's hair is pretty amazing. I hated it at first, but have actually grown to like it.

toys= he has said that a few times over the years. For an adolescent boy, it makes sense; she is rather breasty.
Rob's shy? smile at the beginning kills me. He is just so freaking adorable.
