Robert Pattinson To Appear On “Tonight Show With Jay Leno”
We told you last month that Rob was rumoured to be appearing on Leno, well today it was confirmed.
It’s promotion time, and for this go-around Jay Leno’s got Robert Pattinson.
A source close to the production tells Gossip Cop, Pattinson will be on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on June 15 to promote Eclipse.
Last time around, while promoting New Moon, Pattinson appeared on rival “Late Show with David Letterman,” where the talk show host famously told the Twilight star, “Oh, bite me,” when Pattinson said he’s been “cryptically avoiding” answering whether he’s dating Kristen Stewart.
Hopefully, Leno will get more out of Pattinson this time around.

Damn, I had JL tix for that week & turned them down....IDIOT!
That was the beginning of so many classic Rob-isms. ;-) I hope it will be great fun again, especially for himself. He ddn't know quite what hit him back then.
First, it's always nice to have some new Robert appearances. Second, like I said about the Oprah appearance, this will be the same. This is Eclipse promotion, so I wouldn't consider this a real interview, but rather just promotion. Therefore I know that Robert won't answer the question if it gets asked, even though I hope he would (like he seems to do in his solo interviews, or more personal interviews).
However I have noticed that Robert is slowly but surely distancing himself from the game. He seems to be staying on the down low and focusing intently on WFE, and distancing himself from the Eclipse promo circus and those rumors. I could be wrong, but this is how it seems to me, and I hope that I'm right.
OMG, I have a ticket for this show. I think I´m going to faint.

Im not a big Leno fan. He never really seems to have his finger on the pulse of pop culture. Alot of these so-called entertainment show hosts seem clueless when it comes to Robs popularity. All except Ellen and Jimmy Fallon. Though I hope and pray Jay Leno doesn't ask the same generic questions about "tween" fans, I hope to get some sweet Rob moments.

When you posted this 'rumor' weeks ago, I went ahead and requested tickets. I have them in my hot little hand thanks to Robsessed. This is something I never thought I'd ever do...flying in for a weeks vacation and this is the capstone.

Angel, the only reason Rob isn't doing much Eclipse promo is because he's filming WFE. If Rob was available you bet the suits at Summit would have him touring the world.

Most of the older late night talk show hosts doesn't seems to get the Twilight thing and they think he's a teen/tween idol. I usually love him on Ellen, but... the last time was a major fail for me. It was short and sillys.. they don't seems to know what to asked him. Three or so minutes of appearance... how many indept questions can you asked and they always want to delve into their private lives instead of asking about work...isn't that why they are on the shows? They are promoting their work. It's like they can't relate. I like the Jimmies F.& K. I will watch, any chance to see Robert on my tv... I am there.
I must say how much I enjoyed his appearance on Jon Stewart... it was short, fun, he laughed alot and he talk about RM. I cannot tell you how much I've watch that interview and laugh along with him.

Are you kidding..............OF COURSE I haven't missed a single talk show Rob's done in America, as far as I know, so I'm anxious to see him.......even if it is on Jay Leno. Don't like Jay anymore since he bumped Conan off the air.

His last appearance on Ellen was so disappointing. She seems to be all about games, laughs, silliness.
I'm not against that, but to the detriment of other stuff, yeah.
Ask him something substantial for once in your life.
I'm guessing, good sport though he is, he's a little fed up with all this, and maybe disappointed in Ellen too.
God, doesn't any talk show host have tact, respect, a brain, and a handle on clever repartee too?
