Sad news for the UK fans this morning!
Summit and E1 Entertainment have just released the following announcement about a UK Gala Premiere on their Facebook page:
In 2008 we gave you the UK Premiere, in 2009 we hosted the ultimate fan party and in 2010 we’re descending on the square and introducing the UK to the rest of the pack!
It will be your chance to get up close and personal with your favourite Cullens, Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie Cullen); the fiercely hot wolf pack Alex Meraz (Paul), Booboo Stewart (Seth Clearwater) and meet their new enemy Xavier Samuel (Riley).
Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) will not be far away with specially recorded video messages for their UK fans.

Well this is very disappointing for the UK fans.... It simply won't be the same without Rob, Kristen and Taylor there in person.

I guess they are sending in the second string?

Well, I don't exactly consider them second string, but the Brit fans are going to be gutted that Rob cannot make it back to his home country for this event.
Still, I expect he's busy filming WFE...
I won't be going to the Premiere, or to London, but I'm still disappointed that we won't be seeing any interviews or footage of Rob in London.
I am very disappointed, but unsurprised given Rob's schedule.
Ah well, we just have to hope that Bel Ami gets a London premiere. I'll be up for that one with bells on!
I agree with you Carole, sad we'll miss out on interviews or footage of Rob in London, he's always so relaxed at home.
Very said news, but I was doubtful that Rob would be available because of WFE.
@Fifty, like you say, hopefully he'll premiere BA and WFE here and they won't be as frenzied like Twilight premieres - fully intend to be there.
Not COOL! Rob is English so it should be LAW that he attend the première here! lol
Gutted! E1 are trying to make it sound exciting 'the rest of the crew' WHO... I just changed my plans....No Rob, No premiere for me. what is the point? I had a feeling this would happen, he is so busy. Don't worry Rob I'll forgive you, how could I not!

It's actually very disappointing for ALL of us European fans. I wonder what Summit is thinking... Europe isn't just a "small country" - in fact there are over 700 Million inhabitants! And all those people are not worth ONE real premiere with the real stars?
Ok, so Rob has got a good excuse
since he's filming WFE, but what about Taylor & Kristen?! I think to most of the European fans it just looks rude and pretty arrogant that they obviously don't feel the need to attend their own premier...

we don't know why Taylor and Kristen aren't attending so how can you say it's rude and arrogant......they might have legit excuses and another thing,you have been very lucky with the other premieres by having the three main stars attend,in my country we're lucky to get any of the cast here so be thankful for what you've had.......
