Isn't this the scene where Edward realizes she's going through with the marriage just to please him (and that she does so much to please others) and he tells her forget it, the wedding is off. He'll still turn her and he'll give her what she wants RIGHT NOW; sex and then he attempts to 'go for it'?
Yeah. I think this is that moment. And a good one it was. But then of course she was the one to put the skids on 'cause we can't have Meyer's Romeo and Juliet doing the 'naughty' before they're wed, now can we?
I thought that was rather unrealistic. She's been wanting him for damn near a year and a half, he finally says okay and she say no.

You may be right as she does have her ring on in that photo you linked to and the moment I'm talking about does come at the end of the book...when she finally let him ring her.
The reason I thought it might be this one is because there have been other stills of this scene (in these same clothes) where he is open mouth kissing her (more so than in any other kiss I've seen between them thus far) and then some others where he is flat on his back and she's straddling him. It looked kinda hot to me and I thought...'he's going for it. he's going for it'. LOL!
I dunno. It's just that stills we've seen from this scene look more suggestive than the stills we've seen from the pic you linked too.

Just found out from the Remember Me DVD that Rob was supposed to be out on the stoop of the apartment in his boxers........woohoo.........but he said "I don't think that's going to work"
The cast commentary includes Rob, Emilie, Ruby and one of the producers.
There are two commentaries - one with Alan Coulter the director and the other with the cast. Interesting.
The Making of Remember Me is 15 minutes of really nice coverage of how they all approached the characters of the movie and how much Rob put into it and how they dealt with the 9/11 part of it.
Rob looks GREAT in this section and so sweet and pensive about it all. He's soft spoken and serious most of the time and very introspective.
They haven't mentioned the horrifying fandom that crashed down on them but they did show one picture of it.....so far.
I haven't seen everything on the DVD yet.

Well, there is the meadow, there is Edward on his back and there are E/B kisses.. actually many new, open-mouth kisses! So who cares about the scene? The more the merrier!!
I have been laughing all last night & this morning with these Robstock reports. I'm goofy, so forgive this silly from me.... What might happen.....

There was a near riot at the Sam Bradley concert venue this evening when a group of rowdy unruly women arrived demanding admittance. For the past two weeks ticket masters had been voicing concern over the number of tickets requested by one or two individuals and then later these same tickets were changed to another name. This highly suspicious activity caused more than a little concern for the security staff at the venue. It is common knowledge that movie personality Robert Pattinson was expected to attend the concert performed by his friend and fears began arising over the number of tickets to this one mysterious group identified only as MB or NB or Robstock II.
The concerns escalated this evening when a rowdy group arrived and stormed the venue. When Pattinson’s personal bodyguard was spotted at the rear door he was rushed by the group and tackled, tied up and dragged out to a waiting elephant. Pattinson tried to hide in the back room but was spotted by the group. It was thought that his LB baseball cap was insufficient to disguise him. He was also tackled and dragged out the back door, tied up and tossed up on the elephant.
Approximately a dozen women were involved in the kidnapping. Pattinson, the elephant and Dean his security guard were not found for 15 hours. Pattinson seemed to be in a complete blissful daze when he turned up at In & Out Burgers late the next morning. He was unable to identify the women or remember exactly what happened. “It certainly was an experience,” he was heard to say. Dean nodded in agreement. Impossible as it seems paparazzi were unable to get any pictures. Pattinson looked like he had spent a wild night. Much laughter and calls of more Robkowski were heard near the In & Out just before Pattinson was discovered. “Am I hung over?” he asked Dean. A very red faced Dean is not commenting on the rumor that he acquired a small monkey tattoo as a result of the encounter.
It would be very difficult to refuse this man anything.

Oh my god! Can you imagine if Rob came out in his boxers to film that scene? The production company would have had to call for the perimedics to cart away all the women who'd passed out.
Hey. That's what they should have done. Just parade him around in his undies for a few minutes, knock the women into a coma and wa la...no more fans.
Hmmm...papps would have been another issue though. They would have had a field day and Rob would have been plastered all over god's green earth in his underwear.

But on a serious note...
You see how fan and papp intrusion interferred with the storytelling?
Even just a small moment like this, Tyler distraught enough to disregard putting his pants on. Such a moment would have played to the what the character was going through in that moment, but Rob couldn't do it because of the unwanted prying eyes.
And too...
That he had to return to NY for a week after filming was complete (taking away from his down time before heading back to Vancouver to begin Eclipse) in order to loop, not just a few lines of dialouge, but entire scenes that were ruined by the intrusion.

Will anyone notice? Well. I suppose that all depends on what it is you do for a living? If you're the CEO of your company, you could drag Rob himself under your desk, with clothes being tossed into the air and who would say 'boo'? Well. They'd say a lot more than boo. They'd probably be outside your door pounding on it screaming...'let us in you LUCKY bitch'.
However...if you're manning the triage desk in an emergency room, if you were to suddenly dip under your desk with the requisite moaning that would ensue (while watching The Pretty), THAT would probably get some notice. And possibly get you admitted for some kind of treatment. Probably the psych ward or some such...unless you can control the drooling.
So...just a few scenarios I came up with. And that's because I was up at 4 am this morning, got all my poop in a pile and now I've got nothing to do all day. Well...I suppose I could find something to occupy my time. Oh. I have. I'm playing on ROBsessed making a complete ass of my self.
It's my second job actually. Well. In this economy, it does take two jobs to make ends meet. Duh!

femroc- just saw your comment, no i wasn't able to "camp out" got my wristband yesterday but going back on thursday to see if i could get back in line. i made friends with some really nice girls and they said they would keep a place for me. i dont understand the whole thing since you get a wristband and you are lining up numerically on thursday. right now it's just a real big camp out and a square area, no line up or order. the security said they wanted it a camp out after for "promotional reasons". but i am going to sam bradley tonight.

OT - i actually just got back from seeing Toy Story 3 in IMAX. my son loved it, we dont have IMAX where we live so this was something new for him. he just didnt get the whole playing with "girls" thing, he said that he would never share his toys with a girl LOL. i told him tell me this in 10 years :)

That's EXACTLY what they're doing.
Summit is the new master of marketing in Hollywood. Other studios are looking at them and how they're doing it. There's even talk about sending big stars out on promotional signing tours (although big stars are balking at that idea. Could you just see Harrison Ford or George Clooney in a mall signing autographs, doing Q&A's or even agreeing to such events like a Twilight convention?).
Summit took that first book that every studio in town turned down and turned it into a world wide phenomenon and put themselves on the Hollywood map in the process. They're in the business to make coin and they know what they're doing. And they've got a fanbase that's going along and they KNOW IT!!!
Summit's job is to promote and our job is to consume. And from where I'm sitting...everyone is doing their job.
And you can bet the very soul that occupies your body, that Rob and Kristen want out of this money making machine just as fast as their four little feet can carry him.
Okay. Her two small feet. His two big feet. They want this DONE!!! Especially Rob, so that he can go on with his career with legitimacy and credibility. Kristen's already got some of that because she's 'indie' and that spells credibility in that, she's not just in this for the money and the fame. Rob's 'indie' too, but for those who haven't seen his earlier work, they don't know that. They just see him as a money making 'franchise' guy.
Once this thing is OVER...they'll learn.
city of glass - yeah, but it is believable from summit, to make the hype for twilight saga even bigger. like i said there is no purpose for the camp out...when you got a wristband you had to show your ID and give a telephone #, so they were saying it's so that no one duplicates the wristband but if someone came back with that wristband and you had the same number they just had to look at your ID and verify the number that you gave. so the security guy couldn't argue that one and he finally said summit wants all the publicity and get those "certain camping out shots". i am going back tonight to give supplies to the girls i made friends with so i will see how things are going, but she told me they are moving camp sites tomorrow so i dont know what will happen then.
ohhhhI can´t wait fews days to watch the movie.

As for Sam's concert tonight. I know you've only got five hours, but parking is a bitch down on Caheunga. They do have parking at Hotel Cafe (10 bucks) and there are other parking lots around. Might not be too crazy on a Tuesday night. It was a nightmare when I went up this past Saturday night.

You know what I'm thinking? No Nik. Do tell. Okay. I will. I'm a thinkin' that if me and Laurie and Sarah, with our whacked out sense of the absurd, our comic timing and our writing ability, if we could lock ourselves into a room for just six weeks, we could come up with a 'road comedy' for him. I'm serious. I think we could do it.
It be about a brand new, young superstar with a bunch of crazy, 'mature' fans who lose their minds and go in pursuit of him. Like a dozen Lucy and Ethel's on the loose. Did anyone ever see a little film called "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"? It was produced by Spielberg back in the early 80's and was the story of a bunch of insane teenagers from New Jersey who went to NY in a hearse to find the Beatles when they first came to America to do the Ed Sullivan Show. It was hilarious. Something like that.
And of course it would have to end heartwarming. The crazy women would mean him no harm. They'd talk about what they want to do with him, but when they finally got their hands on him...they'd cluck about him not eating enough or not getting enough rest because at heart...they're mothers.
If done right, it would be just the right blend of slapstick and sentiment. And a treatise on fan worship. Why aren't there more stories about that? Fan worship? It is afterall the lifeblood of the movie business.
Although stories about fans are almost always told from the 'psychotic' point of view. And while were all nuts, not all of us are to be feared. I really do think there's a story in that idea...somewhere.

The trip to the set isn't off at all. At least not that I've heard. In fact...
With Sam not doing a show that Friday night, we don't have to hightail it back into town. You guys could actually wait until he knocks off work and who knows, sometimes he does come over to say hi if everyone is quite and polite throughout shooting.
And we can't check into the Chateau until after 3pm and after that...anytime. And In N Out is open late on Friday night.
No. No. As much as it makes my stomach lurch about going up there, in a way, I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to RPG and DL having that chance. And that's where were gonna pick up and drag you back to the Chateau with us. Come to think of it...

@Laurie: I hit a small snag in my daydream. Remember the stills from the Remember Me shoot with Tyler and Ali on the 'beach'? Those were some fawn-like legs under those shorts. Pretty (yes, hairs and all), but not robust.
If I saw those knees peeking out from that lil' ol' leather skirt it might not have quite the effect I was hoping for.

I'm coming up to Hollywood early Friday morning to have breakfast with the girls (whoever is still here) before they head out of town.
Then me, RPG, DF and possibly Cindeeloo will head up your way. Grab you, over to the set. You guys go on ahead. Me stay with car chain smoking and puking in the bushes. Since there's no Sam show on Friday, we can hang till he's through with work and maybe you guys can get a moment. Then...
All of us back to town. Check in at the hotel. Drop our shit. Tootle on down Sunset to Rob's In N Out for dinner (I never call it just In N Out. It's Rob's In N Out). Back to the hotel. Dip in the pool if we want ('course we'll have to get that damn elephant out of the way first). Back to the room. Jammies. Twilight, New Moon, hootch. Drooling. Talking. Possibly some passing out.
Next morning (or late morning depending on the activities of the previous evening)...brunch on the Chateau patio. Possibly a scoot over to Melrose for a shopping excursion at Wasteland and then...
Hugs. Kisses. Some tears. And Goodbye. Until we reconvene July of 2011 in San Diego for ROBstock III at Comic Con.

Extra TV just showed TENT city with lots of girls setting up their tents and one big sign that said ROB - YOU ROBBED MY HEART....awww so cute.
Then they showed Kristen and Taylor in Stockholm Sweden. One video asked them if they missed Rob and K said yes she goes back to the hotel crying each night.

Have you ever seen this kind of zealous promotion of a franchise film (i.e. sending K&T all over the globe in a day's time, the dozens of interviews once AGAIN only months after NM, TV appearances up the kazoo), not to mention ratcheting up the merchandising end of it, as well. $$$$$. I'm starting to think that maybe "Les Grossman" actually runs Summit Entertainment. LOL. Not so funny for the kids doing yeoman's work at their bidding. I mean, really is this something really NEW in the industry, and if so, no wonder they're all looking at it and thinking about future promotional strategy. Eclipse is guaranteed to win BO and make millions if no one had even opened their mouths or given a few scattered interviews. Agree?

Please go back and read my reply to 'cityofglass'. I believe it's post #43 (yes, I went back and counted) as I addressed your question to me there. And no, I cannot recall when I have seen such a promotional campaign for a film franchise. Although, I do not follow the Potter franchise with a fine tooth comb, but even so, I am aware of that franchise as I'm a big fan of both the books and the films and no, it just doesn't seem as visible when it comes time to their promotion. Could be. Just doesn't seem so. And I agree in part that Summit would not need to do another second of promotion for this franchise if they were only seeking after the core audience as they've got us sewn up down to the last stitch. But they're not. They're trying to lure the rest of the world into the theatre. Ergo; promotion up the wazoo.

For all of you who are living all of this vicariously, I want you to think about something...
Comic Con 2011. I think it's a pretty sure bet that they'll be there as the BD shoot will be done, they'll have footage to share. And since they won't be back for Comic Con 2012 as BD. pt.2will have already been released before July, next year will be Twilight's farewell to the Con.
And this gives us a year to put this together. You have to book hotel rooms in San Diego about a year in advance for that particular week as they go VERY quickly and it would be more convienent to stay in SD as so many of you would be without cars but there'd be enough locals amoungst us that we could carpool from a hotel. Or if we stayed nearby we could walk over (and as I recall...the cast stays at the Hard Rock I think, just next door to the convention center...I think. Hmmm...possibilities there would be interesting). And the tickets wouldn't go on sale until next year. And this would give people time to save for their airfare. I really think we could have a blow out there. A huge, massive ROBsessed reunion, get together, party of the year, whatever. And this is a GREAT venue for spending some actual time in his presence and most likely would be one of the last opportunities. With the Saga coming to an end, he's not going to be doing these kinds of fan events throughout the rest of his career. He's just not.
Let's think about this one guys. I think we can do this and it would give those who are so far away, a chance to see him and to meet your friends here on the blog.
I'm gonna be bringing this up around here on other threads to see if there's any real interest. And trust me...this would be amazing if we could pull it off. Comic Con is crazy, but it's controlled crazy because they know what they're doing.
