So many articles ..... so few comments! I suppose everyone is viewing! The array of stuff is just mindblowing. This was THE event of the year - I wouldn't have wanted to be in charge of that guest list .... egos can be precious in Hollywood if they are missed off.
Thanks Kate for all this - as ever!
The 3rd video is quite an eye opener about how we get to see all these pics - all that shouting from the photographers and being herded about ... Still it's evident how much they enjoyed and appreciated the fans at this premiere.
so i am HOME :) long trip, got in late last night. so much to catch up on especially since i hadn't seen any of the videos all week, my sister's computer has no speakers :( plus a whole lot of fan fiction to read, busy day ahead of me.
i haven't read all the comments did RPG & Nik end up going to WFE site and did they see rob there???
Dina - I'll do my best. One definite highlight was getting to meet so many of the NBs in person. Can not tell you how great they all are. I feel like I've known them for years.
I can only think of one other person I would like to spend Hours & Hours & Hours with instead of them! lol! ;)
It was also wonderful to meet Ana & Nikola face to face, even if it was just for just a few minutes.
My journey started on Sunday (instead of my original Monday)after having to change my flight due to Summit deciding to pass out wristbands Monday morning. I got stranded in Dallas when I missed the last flight to L.A. due to a delayed takeoff from Florida. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep so I turned down the hotel voucher. It was a very long night in the D terminal of the DFW airport!
Monday morning I finally made it to L.A. after another delayed flight from DFW! Then getting to the Nokia took over an hour in traffic caused by all the people going to the Lakers parade. Stress level is through the roof at this point.
Heart rate slowed only after I had my writstband on my arm. Number 60!! Can't tell Twi how thankful I am for her mom!!
NB base camp in tent city was a sight for sore eyes! Hugs & hellos!
Got interviewed wearing our Poof! shirts! Made the reporters mad when we wouldn't reaveal the hidden meaning! Do they really need to know what he does to our panties? LOL!
Since we were able to go out for a few hours at a time, we went and had a few drinks. So much NB fun! Then back to Camp Vamp and trying to settle down for the night.
The jumbotron was on until 2 a.m. (Thanks LA Live) Had to make the trek to the potty at the Ritz-Carlton a little after 2 and there were reporters & people taking pictures of the sleeping campers. Felt really creepy. Our group woke up to a photographer snapping pics of everyone in their sleeping bags. Thankfully security near us made him leave, but he just went to another part of Tent City.
That was the first night. Need to get to RL for a bit. More to come... Don't you just love a cliffie? ;)
Hey everyone! I promise to write s full description of everything & will incude pics (only of ones I can post) and share everything once i get home..
Still in LA at the Chateau Marmont, will start my drive home today...won't be home till tomorrow night.
I'll share one thing, when it was my turn with Rob, I couldn't talk & started crying... I don't think I even said hello, but got a great jaw porn pic...
The movie is EPIC, it has everything we wanted & more...
All the girls are amazing, I love them to death.,
WFE set yesterday, yes we saw him, but from very far away..,I promise to share pics!!!!
@Ana @Angie @RPG & others Just have to jump in here and say thank you SO MUCH for doing this. Can't wait to hear all your reports. What an emotional time even for us who weren't there! RPG I know you are short so I was looking for a short person in the front rows :-) but everything was going by so fast I couldn't tell!! Best to you all and safe trips home.
@Angie: sounds like you have a bit of 'pap experience' insight now...;) Glad to hear you had a such a good time and all met up. Um...'poof' has another meaning in slang lexicon so just as well you kept mum...lol
@Rpg: looking forward to your reports from the 'front line' and great you saw the film. Sorry you were too overcome to speak but sounds like it was worth it...:)
No, we didn't tell them what the Poof! was for. Just told them it was something magical. Something we felt when we saw him. ;) WE all know what it means! LOL!
Dina - to answer one of your questions specifically, No. Pictures do not do him justice. As gorgeous and unbelievable as he is in photos (esp the new ones in the grey hoodie - OMFG!!!)He is beyond beautiful in person. He takes your breath away and makes everything go fuzzy. Beyond dazzling. I just don't have the words to describe it properly. Almost like an out of body experience or a dream. When he walks away, you have to ask yourself "did that just happen?"
Ana - It was so good to meet you at Sam's show. So glad you were able to make it. Did you get a ticket into the movie Thursday?
I will try to do another long post for each day I was there when I get the time. I will answer as many questions as I can as often as you want. It helps me re-live it over & over. :o) And I'll keep to this thread until it gets too long or to buried. Okay?
I can say that Rob really didn't have a "smell" this time. Not at all like in NY when it was unmistakably Him. Kellan Lutz, however, smelled very fresh & clean. ;) LOL! & he showed us his Calvins!
Hi Angie-K: I am curious to know what you thought of Rob's maroon suit since you saw him up close and personal - I loved it, it made his eyes look so blue-green and his butt so squeezable but so many other of his "fans" hated it and were making rude comments. Just thought I would ask
The whole cast seemed to enjoy this premiere more than the previous two. They all looked happy and relaxed and talked freely. I guess growing up with the franchise helped tremendously. They are fitting into their movie star roles more easily. I could only image being a part of this.
What was the previous "smell" like in NY? Now I finally get your blog name btw!
And ... (million dollar question) ...
What COLOUR did you all agree that his EYES are? Photos can be touched up and lighting changes everything, so .... are they blue? As blue as current banner pic?? Please say yes!
I thought David Slade said some interesting things on the carpet about making his movie. He's very serious about his work and doesn't try to pretend that he isnt. I liked that. I think maybe he rubs Rob the wrong way but often that results in some of the best work and I get the feeling Eclipse is a good example of that. Besides he described Rob as "so charismatic", so he GETS it.
@Benny, I think there are a LOT of adults reading this site :-)
ok i am back...someone asked if pics do him justice? My answer is yes and no, all pics are HOT of him there isn't one that i dont drool over but then no because up close and in your face is OMG!!! About his eyes, i really looked and i couldn't even tell you the actual color - his eyes are one of a kind. About the smell...it wasn't anything that stood out, there wasn't a certain scent that i could say, maybe just clean and i HUGGED him too :) And yes i did get in and see the movie, freaking GREATEST one of all. I dont want to say too much about it, but just better acting, better filming and more "EDWARD"!!!!!!
It would be an out of body experience to see him close up after seeing so many videos and pics of him. I feel like I know every freckle on his face - not to mention the moles on his neck! To see him up close like that ..... worth all the tents and concrete I think.
I never doubted he was beautiful - no smoke and mirrors required. On that note - did you all get a moment with Kristen too? Because she looked like a dream.
kristen was really sweet when she passed by and said thanks for camping out, not too much there they were really hurrying her in. i got her autograph but no pic wasnt quick enough. we told her dad that his daughter was awesome, and he said thanks, he looks like a really cool lay back guy. her mom was with her brothers, they all just hung out til they got the tickets envelope.
oh and i said this yesterday but i will say it again...rob's mom was so funny because instead of taking a pic of rob she was waiting to take a pic of taylor, she had her camera waiting for him to pass by. they were out there for a while watching rob sign autographs across the street and then they were taking there own pics of each other on the red (but it was black) carpet. so i yelled for her and she looked up and i told her that she had a beautiful and talented son and she said thank you and then she took a pic of our group. then we told his dad that we loved his son and he said thank you too. they seemed like a very sweet family and enjoying the whole moment. his sisters were dressed really pretty too.
I'm trying to get layout of the venue. If any fans had turned up on the day, would they have stood a chance of seeing anything?
Were the campers put in a certain area so it was obvious to the cast to differentiate between them and other fans. Did Rob have enough time to spend with the campers or were many left disappointed. Actually how long were they out there on the carpet? Sorry, I'm turning into a journalist! So many questions!
What an AMAZING ADVENTURE you all had! Thank you so much for sharing and continuing to tell us EVERY DETAIL as we all want to hear them.
Saw the pics with the POOF Tee shirts and KNEW it had to be you guys! I was so excited I was talking to the TV (yet again) yelling and happy to think I know you (in a cyberspace sort of way) and you won the Gold Medal at the Olympics of ROBsession! YOU were so close you could see his eye color (whatever that may really be), smell his wonderful self, and cry real tears from being emotionally overcome. I get it, I TOTALLY GET IT!! We all do. But you guys, really DID !! EPIC!!
@Ana, glad you mentioned that post, because this site is scrolling faster and faster! Great stories - keep them coming.
@Susanne - not at all! I'd be happy if they're maroo--- um, burgundy - oh no I wouldn't! Just curious because everyone says a different colour ... I thought - now we can find out for sure ...
dina - I know you're gone for the night, but I'm back for a few minutes and as far as you being crazy? You're no crazier than the rest of us. Remember, this is my second Robstock trip in less than a year! :o)
Ana - You got a hug?!?! OMG!!! I would have died!
Benny - I'm 41. Is that adult enough?
Kimmie - after the stars walked the black carpet, security went around passing out tix to go in to see the movie. It was AMAZING!!! Best by far!! David Slade OWNED IT!
Kristen was being rushed by her people. She did take any pics w/anyone near where we were standing. She also had her own pen to sign autographs. She was very sweet. After she signed my book, I was thanking her and she looked me straight in the eyes and said "no problem." I know it may sound cheesy, but that little connection means alot to me. She didn't even have to look at me.
Burgundy or Maroon - doesn't matter. He looked amazing in that suit. Seriously? How can people be hating on that suit? The carpet was black, the walls & signs around the carpet were black - any other dark color would have just blended in. He POPPED!!!!
Totally Robbed - in the pic I have of his face, his eyes are a green/blue because of the color of his suit. His eyes are very much like my daughters' eyes. Their eye color changes depending on many factors surrounding them. So don't think that all the pics where his eyes are blue (like in the banner/grey hoodie pic) are re-rouched because sometimes they are blue.
I don't think they specifcally pointed out the campers to anyone. I think it was just a given that if you were anywhere near the front of the rows surrounding the red carpet, you camped out.
There were bleachers set up for people who arrived the day of the premiere and I know Rob & Kristen both gave some autographs to some of the people in the bleachers. I don't know how many because we were down the black carpet near the KISSFM radio booth.
I think Rob spent as much time with the fans as he possibly could. The publicity people really push them through to make sure they get to the media as well. I know there were many campers left disappointed and wanting more, but he is only one man and can only do so much. I know he tried.
@Angie I was thinking that about the suit too. When you're the man of the hour you have to stand out and he certainly did that! He was so easy to find in all the videos. An interviewer asked him what colour his suit was and he said...red.
Kristen said she wished they didn't have to dress up so much, that they looked like "demi-gods", above everybody else. Such a perceptive and generous thing to say.
Totally robbed - you asked about the setup... imagine a big fat U shape on the outer part of the U are all the fans that camped out and on the inner part of the U was the press and in between the outer/inner is where they walked, i hope that makes sense. on the open part of the U is where they were taking their first pics for the press and on the bottom part of the U were stages set up for interviews. across the street were bleachers for those that were not camped out all week, maybe they got there towards the last days of the camp out. they were actually lucky because they didnt camp out and they got alot of the stars to go over and autograph first before all the campers. then lined up along the staples center were those that showed up the day of. i hope all of that makes sense.
angie - i opted for the hug in lieu of the pic with him. you remember the crazy blonde lady with him who shut down the seacrest interview for new moon, well she was actually really nice. before it even started she saw our posters and said i like your posters and i said hey you work with rob and she said yes and i said make sure he comes this way and she said dont worry he will. so when rob came around, he had his own black pen and my book was black and he signed it and i said you need to use my silver pen and he looked at me and said what and i told him again and he looked and saw that it didn't come out and laughed and used my silver one. i said can i have a hug and his people said NO! and i said please and he did...PRICELESS MOMENT!!! it all happened so quick, it almost felt like a dream :))
Thanks for all the details, so vividly described - and for clearing up the eye colour too! Now I know why there were so many conflicting reports about this - they were all true!
so....
Cheeky Chops, Kimmie & Susanne - all of you were right!
angie - did you guys get pics with him??? and i thought that you guys were in the very front where the cars were dropping of people. i was on the other side towards where you entered the theater, we were the last fans that everyone saw. but we saw when everyone got out of their cars/limos and when they were across the street signing autographs for the bleacher fans. oh and it was CRAZY when rob got there all of the security and LAPD just started running towards him when he got out of his SUV, they did that only for him, craziest thing to see. oh and i thought that it was soooo cool to meet Stephenie Meyer, she signed my Bree Book, i told her she wrote a beautiful love story and she said thanks :))
Thanks! I just saw that, but I'm a bit slow now, will have to go to sleep soon it's about 1.40 am here ...
It does make sense - that was a great visual of the whole set up. Good to get an idea what goes down as many will be inspired to attend events in the future.
Choosing between a hug and a photo - what a decision! But I think you made the right one and I'd have done the same. As you say, someone nearby will have the pic.
Ok, that should be Kristen did not take any pics with anyone near us. She was really being rushed.
cerulean blue - I ♥ Kristen more the more I learn about her. Wouldn't it be great to see what they would wear if they could choose their own clothes for events like this? I have a good idea what Rob & Kristen would be wearing...
Ana - I was lucky enough to get a pic with him. I wasn't brave enough to ask for a hug. Good for you! See what a great guy he is for hugging you eventhough his people said No. :o) Makes me ♥ him even more if that is even possible!
Stephenie also signed my Eclipse book. We had a small pleasant exchange of words, but I can't even remember what we said now. LOL!
David Slade also signed my book. He was just great! I told him how much I liked all the clips I'd seen so far and he said thank you and that he hoped I would like the movie. I said I'm pretty sure I will. He smiled at me and signed my book "much love" :o)
The only one that didn't win any points with me was Ashley. It was very disappointing. She seemed to be in a pissy mood for some reason when she was near our area. Didn't come over to the fans at all before heading around the corner to the big media.
WOW, Thank you Ana. People were actually saying, "they didn't think it was a good premiere." I actually thought it was good. Unless I'm missing something.
So glad you had a great time. Wish I had been with you all.
angie - we never saw ashley, just when she arrived but nikki reed was very very sweet, she was right before taylor and they were rushing her but she stopped to do autographs still :) did everyone get a pic with rob in your group??? and i am hoping that one of the girls i was with got a pic of the hug but they weren't my friends just people i met out there so i HOPE they send me one.
Ana & Angie, my jaw is on the carpet. What an amazing, surreal experience! Well worth the wait on the concrete. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more. Especially nice to hear that both Rob and Kristen's families were there, and you actually had a moment of contact with them, nice. Unbelievable, safe to say we are all living vicariously through your experience and hope you don't tire of ALL the questions we have :D

@Angie-K - are you still there?
Are you (or any of the other NB's) going to write up a full length blog about your roadtrip, tent city - and not the least - your Rob encounter??
Would love to hear more about it - sounds like it was beyond any expectations!
Robert looks gorgeous as always .....

THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS
@ANGIE don't leave us empty handed, tell us everything every single detail, pleeeeeeease.
Departed L.A. Friday afternoon. DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE!
The whole experience was mind-blowing. I'm still feeling kind of numb.
Trying to catch up with everything has me over-whelmed.
I'll definitely share every detail I can. Going to need just a little time to process my thoughts.
so i am HOME :) long trip, got in late last night. so much to catch up on especially since i hadn't seen any of the videos all week, my sister's computer has no speakers :( plus a whole lot of fan fiction to read, busy day ahead of me.

I go get some coffee. I will be right back.
@Ana how was he like in real life? That's all I want to know. Do pictures do him justice?
LMAO@the "poof" shirts. Good you didn't tell them what it meant. ;)
@Angie - love the commentary so far. Can't wait to read the rest. Did you like Eclipse? See, touch, smell The Pretty? Tell, tell. . .
@Ana - glad you made it home okay. I keep seeing video and wondering if that is you. Wish I had faces to go with blog names.
@heart me too. I look at faces and I am like is she angie or ana or RPG.

AP- yes, we know the UK slang for 'poof' as well. ;) I like our meaning better!
We were all in agreement that we felt like we were being papz'd and a little bit like anmials on display in the zoo.
um, that should be animals...
@angie WOW WOW WOW WOW. I wish I were there with all of you. I was about to ask you about the "smell" but you read my mind.
dina - Robstock III! Be there!
Be back later...
I am already excited about Robstock 3.
Am I a little crazy or what?
Hi Angie-K: I am curious to know what you thought of Rob's maroon suit since you saw him up close and personal - I loved it, it made his eyes look so blue-green and his butt so squeezable but so many other of his "fans" hated it and were making rude comments. Just thought I would ask
Wait, you got to see the pretty and see eclipse too??
How were you able to see eclipse??
The whole cast seemed to enjoy this premiere more than the previous two. They all looked happy and relaxed and talked freely. I guess growing up with the franchise helped tremendously. They are fitting into their movie star roles more easily. I could only image being a part of this.
Jane: I am just glad to see another adult is reading this site.
Angie, talk about cliffhangers....!
What was the previous "smell" like in NY? Now I finally get your blog name btw!

@Benny, I think there are a LOT of adults reading this site :-)
Well rob's eye color changes depending on the color he wears, the lighting etc.
But I think they are like a blue grey, even though I haven't seen him up close.
THAT SUIT IS NOT MAROON..GRRRRRRRRRR
And his eyes are; gray when he's tired or not feeling well, blue when he's happy or just normal day, green when he's emotional/horny or pissy.
:D
ok i am back...someone asked if pics do him justice? My answer is yes and no, all pics are HOT of him there isn't one that i dont drool over but then no because up close and in your face is OMG!!! Cheeky Chops:
Haha - a highly feasible answer! But I like Ana's answer too!
...@Rpg,Angie&everyone I'm soo happy for you guys!!Cant wait to get the details of your trip...
@Cheeky 'green when he's emotional /horny?'how can you tell? Lol
Ana:
It would be an out of body experience to see him close up after seeing so many videos and pics of him. I feel like I know every freckle on his face - not to mention the moles on his neck! To see him up close like that ..... worth all the tents and concrete I think.

I can just tell. Eagle Eye is gifted. TRUST. ;)

@TotallyRobbed: His eyes are green, sorry! But they are the most beautiful eyes, so I hope you´re not too sad!
OK, it's BURGUNDY. Moving on.....
:D
dina - I know you're gone for the night, but I'm back for a few minutes and as far as you being crazy?
@Angie
I was thinking that about the suit too.
Angie:
Ana:
G'nite
Oh, and angie-k. :)
Dangit, I'm gonna have too get out there sometime for something. I just know it.
angie - we never saw ashley, just when she arrived but nikki reed was very very sweet, she was right before taylor and they were rushing her but she stopped to do autographs still :) did everyone get a pic with rob in your group??? and i am hoping that one of the girls i was with got a pic of the hug but they weren't my friends just people i met out there so i HOPE they send me one.
@angie and ana thanks for all the details girls
@angie hon just smiling for you all NBs you know that you are so lucky
Thank you, thank you one and all for all the great details of your adventures.
Too bad about Ashley tho... no Alice like attitude there eh? LOL... maybe crowd bothers her too?
Thank you again guys, never tired to hear/read about it.
Thanks so much for all of you for sharing this wtih us.
When I see 'red and black' (referring to the carpet here) I think Stendahl-- the BelAmi before BelAMi ;-).
