What you ladies need to keep your fingers crossed for with this film is not a glimpse of the peen (although he's a European actor, meaning, at some point he'll probably give us a peek) or the R rating (with the story content, that is a given) or even the box office (this is not expected to be a blockbuster. costume period pieces rarely are).
You hope and pray that this gets a limited release in December before going wide in early 2011. Why? Because that will be THE indication that the studio believes they've got a film that's going to recieve critical acclaim and could possibly compete during the upcoming awards season. And THAT is what you hope for with a film like this; critical acclaim and a few 'legitimate' award nominations.
If/when we get word that this film is getting that qualifying week in December, we can -to quote the great Peggy Lee- "break out the booze and a have a ball."
Hopefully, no one really expects this movie to be a blockbuster, because it won't be as Nicola said.
This will be the type of movie that film critics really look at, and "whipers", the Academy.
I can't see many Twihards seeing this, and no teenie boppers either due to the subject matter and R rating, which is a WIN for us, and for Rob.
The Twihards proved they're loyality is to Edward and not Rob during Remember Me, even though that movie still had an amazing run for the small movie that it was.
Between this and Water For Elephants, we have some good times ahead.

While he's filming is probably the best time for Rob (as long as the uninvited stay away and let him do his work) as his life is pretty much consumed by it; he's up very early in the morning, works all day (and many times into the night), goes back to wherever it is he's staying, runs over his lines for the next day and then falls (literally) into bed. And emotionally...
He steps out of his celebrity as Rob Pattinson (if the univited will leave alone and let him work and not pull him back into the celebrity) and steps into the skin of whatever character he is currently inhabiting. This is the time in his life (if the public will leave him alone...am I beating this horse? Sue me), when he gets to create. Truly, when he's working is when it's the best time for him. When he's being a celebrity and out selling his work? That's the worst time for him and ironically, the best time for us.
As for his weekends...
This isn't play time for him. He's relaxing, sleeping, maybe running a few errands and making up for lost time during the week with his girl. He really doesn't need his mates at this time. And if he did need someone, then someone from his inner circle would show up.
During the insanity of filming Remember Me last summer, Tom and his sister came to help him through it. He's never left on his own (unless he wants to be), because he's got that core group who love him and that he TRUSTS and are there for him if he needs them.
I'm always in happy, relax mode when he is working because I know he's in a safe and controlled environment. That is, when he's working in studio. When on location? I usually hold my breath until it's over and as soon as I know that location shooting is done...I exhale.

well i know you asked ana43 but if you want to get a new laptop or the ipad and you're concerned about ROB's pics *sighs* you can get a flashdrive and save them there and no problem they are really cheap and some have a lot of memory :P (this is how i do it and this way you can save your LT or IP memory and will run faster (-;)

I cannot wait for Bel Ami and I am so chuffed that it will be seen in the UK as it is a UK film - I so hope that it is also distributed in the US because I feel that this film more than anything else that he has done is what will 'showcase' Rob's abilities. I do not wish to offend anybody and this is just MY opinion but I really feel that Rob is above and beyond 'Twilight' andd I will be glad to see the end of his affiliation with Twilight. Yes it has done him lots of favours by bringing him to the attention of the world (well those who love Twilight) and indeed has opened many doors for him too. But it also hasn't allowed him to quietly grow in his craft...instead his learning process is out there in all it's rawness for everyone to analyze...a tough call for a shy, humble, 24yr old.
I hope and pray that Rob is learning his craft with such accredited/ respected director/actors that he is working with at the moment. That he ignores all the media/gossip rubbish and gets his head down and just ploughs on with the job in hand. If he does this then I can see that he will win his detractors over.....

I remember AP was asking several times in frustration about who would be the distributor. i actually never heard of the concept before then, thinkng that the studio just sent out copies to whichever movie theatres paid them. I know, naive, but thanks to Nik and AP I am learning. :-) Also-- does the distributor determine the ratings? If not, who does? And why does who the distributor is make a difference? What does the distributor do aside from sending out the film? Does he get a percentage in return? Does he lay out the mo ney (like in postage) for the film ot be distrbuted? And why cannot films jus tbe distrubuted by the film company via internet nowadays, rather than sendng it? Or IS it sent via internet nowadays? Also- I am wondering--was I the only one who didn't know that films need a distributor, and that it makes a difference (at least to AP!) who that would be?
