See I am so flustered, I can't even type. That should be Good God Almighty...jeez.
In one of the shots you can almost make out a yellow notepad with writing. I'd LOVE to read his notes....I'd love to get into his head, ya know? I'd also love to get into some other things...haha! Still missing the long hair. My husband has hair very similar to Rob (when he ACTUALLY lets it grow--which is hardly every) I always get so sad when he cuts it short--which is usually as short as Rob has it now! So now both Rob AND my husbnad are rockin' the short hair cuts! WTF!?!?! I always tell my husband to grow it out but he has to keep it "clean" for work! DAMN WORK!
He does have blue socks on..LOL. Robert, next time, don't have Dean dress you.

RPG - I loved Splendor in the Grass, if anyone has a teenage daughter rent it for them, i made my daughter and her friend see it when they were in high school. I noticed all the updates too, so much to read.

@Kember~ Actually, the blue is an ankle brace on his left ankle. Notice how much thicker around that ankle is than the right and how the left shoe laces are much looser. I have one exactly like that because I've sprained my ankle so many times. It's a neoprene sleeve designed to be worn with tennies.
Looks like The Pretty took a bit of a tumble. Hmmmm, girl elephant get to close during rehearsals? Trip on a curb on his way home from the bar? Didn't stick the dismount after a long night of fanfic inspired lovin with Kristen? What do you think, girls? LOL!
Thank goodness they didn't do a buzz cut! It's just short on the sides, and still long-ish on top.
Plus I'm thinking it will grow out more during the filming, so it will get longer hopefully. And once Jacob joins the circus he's not going to have frequent haircuts as long as he's touring with the circus, so it would only be realistic to have his hair grow more as the story progresses!
I actually think that Robert looks good with this hair cut as well. Yay, no buzz cut!

From what I can see in the car pic, he does have his hair a little longer on the top, it probably feels pretty good to have it as short as it is after doing Bel Ami and having it longer. Wonder what he did to his foot? He's just rumpled up cuteness to the max. You know if he wasn't so good looking we probably wouldn't think his rumpely, wrinkely, attire was so hot....but it's Rob, I leave it at that!!!

I like longer hair better. Maybe from sort of growing up in the 60s and 70s. And what the heck is wrong with blue socks? Is this an American thing? An age-related thing? Or is this one of those fashion rules like not wearing white shoes after labour day?
As for his ankle; i hope he is ok. He definitely has some issues/challenges in muscle tone and gross motor skills (possibly fine motor, as well). Everyone seems to find his 'wonkiness' endearing, but it concerns me.

Perhaps this was his first week ridiculous injury, just like with Twilight?! Let's hope it heals fast, because there's lots of physical action in WFE... he'll need strong joints and limbs to be hopping trains!
@solas- Rob said he has one leg that's longer than the other. No joke. It's really prominant in the picture of him as a kid in his school uniform.
I have two children with Autism and they see therapists on a daily basis. I noticed the hands lack of fine motor strength concerning too. But he seems to be getting along just fine so...
(This is where I realize I've scrutinized this gorgeous man like a stalker. Sheesh. *rolling yes at self*)
I did wince a bit when I saw the SexBurns were gone. Sigh... Me likey the sideburns.
Kerri--Yes, I kno wabout the leg size discrepancy, and I also see a turning in of the legs that imply somethng else as well, although it could be just a secondary development for compensating for the leg size difference as well as lower muscle tone. I don;t see it as a stalker. One of my main fields is pyschology and I work as child and educational psychologist, where among other things I have to observe children unobtrusively in the classroom and playground, for issues like this, as well as learning differences and social skills. I don't see it as stalking for either of us, as you have an eye for this particular area for personal reasons, and I have an eye for it as part of my work.
Kerri--yes, he seems to be getting along fine for the most part; I think his parents were very wise in getting him piano and guitar lessons at an early age, as this helps tremendously in the fine motor skills. My main concern is if he does something like horseback riding, especially bareback, that for others would be fine with regular lessons, but woul dbe dangerous or even deadly G-d forbid for someone with his particular issues unless he gets OT and PT first and is trained with those issues in mind.

Hmm, I like his hair longer, but he was probably happy to get it cut after having it so long & flattened down for Bel Ami. He's not wearing a blue sock, he must have done something to his ankle, that's one of those support things, but where did those clothes come from? I don't recognize anything he's wearing, did he actually go shopping?
@Babs~ I swear he shops at Goodwill. I personally love the Goodwill. But, I think his is a little shady. None of my Goodwill scores have shredded necks and what have you. But, the sweatshirt especially looks like it was literally pulled out of the bottom of that Mary-Poppins-CarpetBag like tan duffle he always carries. You know, the one that houses all the clothing Kris has yet to steal. LOL
@Kerri & @solas~ I'm not too horridly worried to be honest. I think reports of Rob's clutziness are grossly overstated. He's bendy as all get out. That just can't be denied. But, I think the majority of the stories about his physical lack of prowess are way overblown. Afterall, he did the majority of his own stunts (and some were pretty physical) in GoF, in Twilight and in NM. And, if you watch the BTS Eclipse feature on the NM DVD, he looks pretty well coordinated to me while on the hampster wheel and in fight training. His long lean muscles compliment his flexibility well.
jazz- to my eyes, he was not coordinated on the hamster wheel; I still saw turns of his leg in ways that point to more than just long limbs. It isn't lack of prowess; it is lack of muscle tone and lack of gross (and possibly fine) motor skills. But in any case, i wish him well, with all good things including safety and good health.
If you Google ...Entertainment/Rob Pattinson, there is an article about all of the cast having their hair cut during costume fittings, everyone, except Reese. So, this is what we are getting for WFE, just another character for Rob. The pants made me laugh, that's our Rob.

Stupid me, I thought in WFE Jacob wouldn't have money to get his hair cut and it would still be Rob's Oprah hair. Wouldn't it at least flop into his face, you know, be longer on top and front?
Am I that shallow? I mean, he's still sexy as hell but I'd like Edward, Tyler or Georges hair please.
In the beginning of the story, Jacob is not a ragamuffin hoppin' on and off of circus trains. He's a student at Cornell University, about to graduate and go to work with his father. And with the story set in 1931, he ain't gonna be running around with 2010 Rob sexhair.
And even after he settles in with the circus, he's doesn't turn into a ragamuffin. He becomes the show's vet. A position of some prominence. No mention was made of his appearance being anything but handsome. So I would imagine his hair and his stubble will remain clean cut throughout.
Interesting the comparison to Warren Beatty's cut in Splendor though. That story takes place in the years 1928 to 1931.

If you're gonna love an actor, then you can't get too attached to any one particular do. 'Cause it's most likely gonna change with every role. I mean, there's a chance he'll have to shave it all off if a particular role calls for it (and the screaming will be heard around the world. LOL).
Personally, I love seeing him metamorphis into his different characters. But that said, I too love me his mop top and can't wait to see it again.
Does anyone else think Rob looks tired lately. I hope he is not doing too much. You don't want to burn out Rob, we couldn't live without seeing you!
