They are all smart kids! Nice looks, nice human beings with brains... Nice to see that not all their generation is fu..ed up by reality shows and all that crap! And our man is looking real fine :o)
Haha oh those bloodshot eyes in the last video.. he's definitely not sober there. Couldn't imagine being in his shoes though, it'd be very awkward and frightening experience. But a nice one.
I also love that he brought a McCullers book along. (I might have put The Ballad of the Sad Cafe on my reading list the minute he said he liked it.. hehe.) Love her as well.
Oh and by the way, at least you guys get to watch him on Oprah today.. I'll have to settle for these clips because it'll take months before they finally broadcast it here.
I know I am ruining watching the show by watching these clips but I can't help myself. They are fantastic. What an honor to meet Rob. He is such a gentleman and just takes everything in stride. For a young man of 24, he seems well grounded.
BTW, I watched all the clips, and Rob is so adorable. I love that laugh of his, and the little bark he made was beyond cute! He is so sweet. I love how he answers questions that he's heard countless times before: as if it was the first time he's had to think about his response. He never seems rehearsed or practiced. I'm pretty sure he tries to mentally prepare his responses, but you can see that, whether it's the 1st or the 15th time, he thinks out his answers right there as the interviewer listens eagerly to what he has to say.
Oprah seemed to be little jaded when Rob mentioned that he saw one of his favorite author's work on her reading list...that is, until he showed her a book that she hadn't even read, THEN, she looked pretty damn impressed. Oprah's learning that a well-read Rob is a damn hot one!
my gosh, I laughed tears seeing him visiting these families xD on the one hand I feel sorry for him, but on the other my reaction to Rob on my threshold wouldn't be any different...!
@ Jane: I'm not saying he was drunk, but look at those eyes.. there's definitely something going on. But maybe he was just tired or really terrified.. I don't know.. and I guess I'll never know.. so yeah, never mind.
@Mia: The Ballad of the Sad Cafe and Other Stories by Carson McCullers, a southern writer. She also wrote The Member of the Wedding and the Heart is a Lonely Hunter.
These are very cool because some of them were not aired on the show. Thanks so much for posting them. The first three on this list of videos were not actually on the show where it aired here in Chicago at least.
Sorry to be such a downer about it but I hate looking at the video of him visiting the families. I actually have to avert my eyes while scrolling down the screen. He looks absolutely terrified to me. I'm the one always banging on about how we project ourselves onto Rob and for all I know he's totally fine with the whole thing and I'm just projecting my own discomfort onto him. Anyway he certainly earned his pay with this one. I hope he took took a whole valium this time.
@Cerulean: I think he was somewhat terrified, but it seems to me that Rob likes to test himself regarding 'scary' things, particularly if he has some backup or flight plan handy...lol I don't think he was frightened of meeting fans - he always seems happy to do that - just of the 'unknown' aspect of the situation. And I think he also seemed to enjoy it in the end. Of course, I'm projecting too... ;)
AP: True. Maybe once he'd resigned himself to the fact that he had to do it, he entered into it with great enthusiasm. And valium. :-) Thanks for the reality check.
@jlsentangledweb Oprah did seem dubious when he said he'd looked at her booklist favorites, she was a little bit like "yeah, yeah whatever". LOVE that he brought out a new book!
With his Kindle during Bel Ami filming we were in the dark about what he was reading. What I wouldn't give to get a peek at the books loaded on his Kindle.
I know we had a "Rob's Reading List Post" last summer; we need to get that out and update :-)
OK, I will shut up now about the books, but I'll tell you what...intelligent, polite, book reading Rob.......*swoon* and *doubleswoon*
@Cerulean: well - a version of reality but glad if it helped the mood.:)
@PDate: Rob was being very politik about the book gift, and which I'm sure Oprah knew about. He's being cagey about his own booklist - understandably...
if you're talking about the clip with Rob visiting the houses, then he had just flown in from London and was very jetlagged so hence the red eyes............. It's on the vids I think it's Oprahs' clip no.2

Oh god .. look at that face, look at that cute face!! I want to bite him. Lol
He´s adorable.
Did you say Rob wasn't sober in the last video? I don't think they would let him go to the fan's houses if he wasn't sober if that is what you meant.
Those vids were freaking hilarious! i laughed so hard watching him "break" into peoples' houses. he's such an amazing man, and so freaking funny!
And YES, YOU ARE HOT!
@ Jane: I'm not saying he was drunk, but look at those eyes.. there's definitely something going on. But maybe he was just tired or really terrified.. I don't know.. and I guess I'll never know.. so yeah, never mind.
Can someone tell me what book that was that Rob recommended to OPRAH on the show?
I just love his goofiness! He's exploding panties one household at a time. *awaits patiently by front door*

I'm pretty sure Rob likes challenges and phrase "That what do not kill you makes you Stronger".
Oh Robert. The Ballad of The Sad Cafe is one of my fave books, too. ♥♥♥
He gave Oprah a book. ♥♥♥
I didn't think it was possible to ♥♥♥ Robert more.
But.I.Do.
