Teen heartthrob Robert Pattinson's latest movie 'Remember Me' is a romantic drama. Those who loved him in the Twilight series will not know what to expect in a very different genre of movie of his. Well, good news is that Robert Pattinson can act and act really well. You girl fans out there, your Twilight Hunk is truly something else. Fans went crazy seeing Robert Pattinson Kristen Stewart at the 'Remember Me' premiere and they will not be disappointed with their Twilight star in his latest movie.Twilight or no Twilight, he is here to stay as an actor.
The film is about a 22 year old deep, alone and brooding kind of guy seemingly at war with the whole world. The film also stars Pierce Brosnan and Emilie de Ravin and is directed by Allen Coulter based on a script by Will Fetters. The movie is a great package as a whole with great performances. The story is captivating as well as touching. Clint Morris has rightly said of R-Patz that this movie will turn him from a movie star to an actor.
Rob Pattinson plays Tyler in the movie who is though alone and kind of brooding but a good human being at heart. The romance between the characters of Pattinson and Emile de Ravin has been portrayed so real that it is really touching. Same can be said about the relationship between Robert Pattinson and on-screen father Pierce Brosnan which has again been brilliantly depicted. Bond star Brosnan plays with perfection, somewhat emotionally restrained father.
The interest is kept alive till the end with a very different, kind of shocking and unexpected ending of the movie. All I will say without disclosing the ending is that this not your typical romance where in the end every thing gets all good. My verdict: Definite watch.

I think WATER FOR THE ELEPHANTS is a typical movie for the awards...REMEMBER ME it´s posible but it´s not sure depends of the rest of the movies in the air this year, but it´s possible a nomination...for BEL AMI I think it´s very dificult.
The Oscars is a world apart, it´s not only about movies, it´s the big love story about business, studios and actors. Sometimes who can think that a movie deserve a nomination and no and sometimes a bad movie has got 5/7 nominations, see to believe it!!
And no forget the Bafta the next year, sure Rob will be here and can you imagine the rising price giving him for Kristen??

I have never been into the oscar culture, but I do think newcomers have won at times, people who haven't 'paid the dues' to hollywood.
I am not sure if many of LdC's performances were award-worthy (I thought Gangs of New York was really something, including his performance which was not nominated, and DDL didn't win but I thought he was brilliant.)
Rob is getting great recognition; I hope it continues whether with Oscar next year or not.

@Wens - waves hello to Wens. So he was walking over to our side (at the Today Show) and as he got closer the air was filled with the most amazing smell. We described it as definitely manly, not musky...it's just delicious. And once he was done signing and taking pictures and walked away, the smell was gone. It oozes from his pores, and it stuns you. Agree Ang?

It wasn't a heavy scent, it was just lovely. I would kill to wake up to that scent on my pillow (and him in my bed, obvs.), but all the women who were next to us all smelled it. It's kind of indescribable.

Walking up the aisle after the movie, which is fantastic, we stood next to Lizzie, who is beautiful, and we heard he say (in her really lovely accent) that she "was very proud of Robert." Awww!!!

The paps were disgusting. We overheard a conversation btwn three of them saying they were following him and they knew where he was staying. They had the biggest cameras I have ever seen.
The age demographic is all over the place. We be-friended two awesome ROBsessed readers/sometime commentors who are in their 20's (waving hi to LCx2) and then we met ladies our age in their 30's. Then there were women in their 40's and 50's and obviously the teens were represented as well.

@RPG - Couldn't even begin to choose. I really love the fact that I was at the world premiere of his movie and he was in the f-ing audience w/KStew and TomStu. But, I think my fondest memory will be SMELLING HIM, and hearing him speak to our group of women and laugh. Just to know I was within 1/2 a foot of him and could see his beautiful, really tall, lanky self in person...I don't know, it still hard to believe.
How hard was it waiting in line for the various events? What did you guys do in addition to the pix and vids?

@Angie - For real? We have the same comments, except for seeing "the hair" through the revolving door. That was so awesome. ;-)
@Gwen - The screaming was loud, but being in the moment, I totally understand. If you don't scream to get his or one of his "peoples" attention he may not come to where you are and then your moment with The Pretty is gone. I think I have talked smack about he screaming before, but now I totally understand. Btw, we weren't really screamers, we were more like, "whoo hoo!"
the screaming is unbelievable and intense, but you actually can sort of block it out (I just kept thinking of Rob) kind of like jet noise at an airshow

@Ana - yes, they were all in the theater. They didn't stay for the whole movie, which is normal, they left early and headed to the after-party.

Kristen was beautiful. So tiny and really really nice. CL told her she looked amazing as she went past and Kristen looked back and said "thanks"

@RPG - The stars were aligned for us for the funnest, craziest, coldest, loveliest 24 hours, ever. March 1, 2010 was it. It was a perfect day.
We did not see where they (R&K) were sitting. TomStu was in the next to the last row. I didn't see his parents. Just his sisters.

@RPG - I was blown away by his acting and the script and the chemistry of all actors. But, Rob is going to be around for a long, long time. I had high expectations and he hit those out of the park.

Gwen - after Rob was mobbed by the papz, he was taken into the lobby to meet the first 15 people (we were 16,17 & 18) then the reps came out and asked for numbers 21,22 & 23... I screamed "You forgot 16!!" (I freaked a little) then Cl and Sharon also yelled about being forgotten and a rep stpped in front of us and said "you weren't skipped, settle down just a minute" then he stepped over to the will call area and came back with 3 screening tickets!

@Gwen - It's not huge. No stadium seating or anything. Kind of an old-fashioned theater. Don't know why they had it there. I think Summit thought it would be just an indie movie. Well about (I heard the official count was near 700) fans turned out to see the star of this little indie movie...Summit is stupid.

@Gwen - I love Pierce and it was freaky as all get out seeing him as a centaur. In all honesty, I thought the movie as a stand alone vehicle was really good and well done, but as a faithful adaptation of the book, I was miserabley disappointed.
