Robert Pattinson's Remember Me opened at 4 with a solid $8.3Million. The movie was was only playing in 2,212 theaters and this is a good opening for a movie of this genre! So congratulations to Robert Pattinson,Allen Coulter, Will Fetters, Summit Entertainment and all the cast and crew for making this beautiful movie :)

i think 8.3 mill is amazing. its not a franchise and this is pretty good considering it's just a small but touching drama. i'm so proud of rob.

What I don't understand is why some people are saying that it's not a success? I mean this is a relatively small movie, and the numbers I saw are good numbers, they're not bad at all. RM was in a lot less theaters than green zone and the other idiotic movie "something league" lol.
Plus considering the ending that RM decided to go with, that was a very big risk. This movie would not have even gotten made had Robert not liked the script and felt that it was something he could fit into the two months break he got between filming NM and Eclipse.
But anyways the movie is doing really well for its budget I'd say it is more successful than the green zone. If those numbers are right, the green zone has barely made a quarter of its budget cost (this is a flop), whereas RM has made about half its budget cost without any special effects or the same number of theaters and just from the first weekend.
RM's numbers are good, and that's a fact.

Was interested to see that per screen average for RM was quite a bit higher than 3rd place 'League,' although 'Wedding' even more so. Of course, no's may revise up or down on Monday.
The critical pans and revelation of the ending didn't help extend the audience. However, I still think international figures will be solid as well.
That is a good number. In fact, my mother and her friends have not gone to the theater yet and my two nieces who are in college are having their finals this coming week, so they and their friends also have not hit the theater yet, they all will this week-end (Mar 19-21). Of course Remember Me has another competition for movie patrons next week-end: Anniston and Butler's movie; this week it went against Matt Damon's.
Plus, we don't have the international numbers yet . . . I think they will be bigger.

Australia -Nicole Kidman's movie with $130M budget) did only $49M here at U.S., but it made about $130M from International gross ticket sales($161M) because Nicole is very very popular overseas and no matter how bad the reviews are of her movies here in U.S. she always do very well overseas (LOL, either those people don't pay attention to bad reviews or they just go ahead and see the movie because they love their movie stars). So I think Remember Me will pull off good figures from International movie sales!
Rob did such an outstanding job in Remember Me that I won't be able to look at Edward Cullen the same way again and not think of Tyler Hawkins. I remember watching Titanic...for years afterward no matter what role Leo played I could not picture him as any character other than Jack Dawson. I know many people want more Edward, but I wish we could get more Tyler. :)

I feel much better about this information. When I saw information I can't remember if it was earlier this morning or late yesterday that had the number of theaters a lot higher and that made me sad.
I really, really hope that there will be a word of mouth ground swell that will keep this in the theaters for a while.
I think 8.3 million is a great opening weekend. I hope it will continue to bring in money as word of mouth gets out. After all even the less than favorable reviews have had positive things to say about his performance. Rob should be proud.

It mad the top 5 and didn't go straight to video. That says alot. There are still people who haven't had a chance to see it due to it not being in a theater near them or for other reasons.
I still plan on seeing a few more times and hope to keep rideing the wave to keep it in theaters for awhile.

I'll be honest. I'm kind of bummed it didn't make more. I was sure it would have broken 10mil...I just don't get it. Maybe 8.3m is a good number for the type of movie it is, etc. But I think expectations were high b/c he's in it and there's so much hoopla over him right now. And Rob just, he just so deserves this film to be extremely successful. It's so well done and he is so amazing in it....I don't understand why so many critics didn't like it. Did they see the same movie we did? I hope word of mouth gets people to the theatres because....ROB WAS AWESOME and THE MOVIE IS WONDERFUL!!
My name is Heidi and I agree with the other Heidi below...I want more Tyler! :) Rob is an amazing actor and I hope he somehow gets the message that his fans have embraced him even more outside of Twilight. His performance in Remember Me moved me more than Twilight. I didn't think that could be possible but WOW. Great job, Rob! We only want MORE of you! (which I'm not sure you wanted) ;)

Got up in a pissy mood this morning after seeing low RM numbers then had an epiphany: it’s OK, we were wrong & Rob was right!
He always said the fandom was crazy about Edward not him. We scoffed knowing Twi was just a stepping stone & Rob was so much more.
We forgot we’re not his average fan. We're not part of the screaming throng with his photo plastered in our binders & on our bedroom walls. That fan doesn’t care bout Tyler's demons & Art’s self-doubt. She doesn't want to see her heart throb go gay as Dali. And her mom didn’t take her to go see Remember Me either, cause Tyler’s more nightmare than dreamboat for her young daughter.
So RM didn’t pull in the swooning crowd or big box office but showed where Rob’s true fanbase is, and
Rob was right: the throng wasn't there for him & he’s probably gladder for it! High time the wheat was separated from the chaff.
Now Rob can shed the stilted image, dig deeper & release the more demanding artist simmering inside & not be a slave to the studio system. Bravo.
My only fear is that Summit was waiting for RM numbers to make its final decision on Breaking Dawn. And knowing them...
To sum it up: no, $8.3 million is not bad, it's very good. Good for true fans and good for Rob's future as a challenged and challenging artist.

Remember Me is sandwiched between Alice, Green Zone (this week) AND Anniston/Butler's Bounty Hunter next week-end. So, it is facing big competition. To have done as well as it did is pretty good.
I think the studios put it out there with the big competition to test Robert Pattinson box office strength. But with Robert Pattinson making out with a girl other than "Bella" is just unacceptable to Twi-fans who didn't want to shutter their fantasies, so they shy away from this movie. Then
critics looked for something to bash this movie--and they did: THE ENDING...they negatively hyped that ending so much people just thought probably it exploited "that tragic and memorable event" in our history. I think a lot of people stayed away because of that negative hype that got around all over the internet. Plus, this is not a date-type movie.

Well considering these are just the US numbers (domestic) and that the film has been released in 10 other non US countries this weekend, probably the total gross it's much better than this. Either way I think this movie it's going to be a success at the box office. There are many other countries in Europe and not only, that are still waiting for the film to be released so the numbers should increase in the weeks to come. As for me I'm definitely going to see it again this week. I desperately need so... :)

I don't know about the states girls but I have already seen it three times and the theater was packed here in Greece it would be nice to see how it did overseas. I am so proud of him he won some new fans who are much more important than the twilight ones.
I live in Texas and the closest theater showing "Remember Me" is an hour away. I wasn't able to go see it this weekend but am planning on seeing it tomorrow. @Lois, nicely put, but do you really think Summit is waiting to decide on BD, based on the numbers for RM? For arguments sake, let's say they decided NOT to make it. Can anyone imagine the hysteria that would ensue, unless they optioned it out to another studio and how idiotic would that be, although not altogether a bad idea. So given that Summit will, as expected, proceed with BD, that means Rob will have to endure the Edward fanaticism for another 2 or 3 films, which he has been very gracious about. So Edward is far from behind him. This may delight the Twihards, but thankfully he's signed up on other projects, which the "wheat" can look forward to.
Congrats to Rob for RM. If I had never seen Edward come through the cafeteria door, and watched this movie, I would have rushed home to search the internet for info on that actor who played Tyler, ultimately landing here! It's called charisma.

RM did $3,500,000 on Friday, $2,800,000 on Saturday and sofar $2,000,000 on Sunday. Normally there's almost always an increase on Saturday (more people go to the theaters on that day) but it wasn't the case for RM. It dropped!Dang. What happened to Remember Me Saturday, ladies?

Bottom line, I feel I got my money's worth. I saw a great movie with a meaniful message and quality acting without any tricks but nice treats. Sorry but 8.3 million it's not great. rob is one of the most famous faces on the planet and the face of one of the biggest franchises right now. he cannot even go out on the street. it should have done much better than this, atleast 10 million. yes the blind side was a sleeper hit but it open with 32 million. zac efron 17 again open with 24 million. 8.3 million it's solid for what it is but it shows that the loyalty of the twilight fan base does not extend to him and that's gonna hurt his carrer in some way for sure. Just returned from my 2nd viewing. Even more brilliant than the first time! I remembered to breathe this time.
Theater wasn't crowded, but it is playing at 9 theaters in this area.
Even if the so called expert critics didn't like this movie, the people who PAY for their tickets did! I'll be going again on Saturday.
I think Remember Me will be a sleeper. As soon as word gets out about it, it will explode like Dirty Dancing did. The movie was awesome and the saddest part for me, other than him being in the building, was his notebook lying in the ashes. That killed me.

I'm sorry but how is 8.3m good? what happened to RM Saturday? the numbers actually dropped. It was Nik who said that he needed to make at least 15-20m on the first weekend to convince Hollywood that he can open a movie and as somebody else pointed out the Blind Side opened to over 30m. I'm pissed too that the Twifans couldn't show their loyalty to Rob
I have to say that to the people who may be disappointed in the numbers and wondering why Twilight fans did not turn out in force, it's because most twilight fans are tweens & teens. And these tweens & teens are mostly (I would say 85-90%) just fans of twilight, Edward, and Jacob (mostly Jacob) and not fans of Rob. I teach at a Middle School. Most of the girls are not Rob fans. (Shocking, I know.) Rob appeals to an older more mature demo.
With that said, I think RM had a fabulous opening. It is a wonderful movie with great acting and an important message. My husband even loved it!
I think it will have a long life and will help Rob leave the Twilight image behind. (I LOVE Twilight, dont get me wrong.)

While these figures would be respectable for an out-of-leftfield indie film, Summit will have been expecting a substanially higher take this weekend. Considering Rob's high profile, the hype surrounding the release and the attention the NY filmset got, they have to be disappointed. It's all about money, after all.
I would imagine studio heads are examining these numbers with regard to the potential bankability of both Twilight male leads. Taylor, for example, has been signed up for a lot of movies on the back of New Moon. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this doesn't hurt his career as well or, at the very least, cause TPTB to reconsider his options.
Sadly, it seems the Twilight fans are fickle, more chaff than wheat.
It's not true that all movies see a spike in their numbers on Saturdays.
The movie The Notebook opened high on the Friday and had steep drops on the Saturday and Sunday. It went on to make $81 million because of solid word of mouth.
The movie Dr. John dropped as well the Saturday and very steeply so on the Sunday and it went on to make $78 million.
Remember Me has the potential to make quite a bit more money based on solid word of mouth and it is getting that in spite of the critics.

i said on the other thread that the whole theater was filled with women and about 5 men, yes i counted. and most of the women were older, not many teens at all. my husband didn't want to go because he thought it was a chick flick, so i went with my niece. i wish he would have went becuase it was such a good movie and we could have discussed after. to me it was more than just a romance, it had so many different stories intertwined.
Summit had said they were looking at an $8 to $10 million opening weekend. They got it. That estimate was realistic however much we wished it had been more.
The Twilight series of books had a massive following before the movies were ever released. Teenagers were in hysterics whenever the author put in an appearance - book signings etc.
Remember Me is/has given Robert Pattinson a chance to movie away from the Twilight hysteria and with an $8.3 million opening he's doing it. Zac Efron for Me and Orson Welles and Megan Fox for Jennifer's Body only wish they been so lucky.

Remember me is not a typical movie. it's not a teen love movie (and twilight demografic are teens) and it's not a comedy (17 again was a comedy and it's not even comparable to RM; it played in a lot more screens; nobody died in it, specially not the lead.

Yes, the blind side did make 35 mil. but sandra bullock is a well established and beloved actress and her movie was an happy movie with a uplifting ending.

I know what you mean, but these fans are young, they do not know how to separate Edward from Rob (or Kristen from Rob). I teach these kids and they have very distorted views of celebrities and reasons for seeing them in movies. They do not relate to RM. They can only see him as Edward. Immature and irrational thinking. I get frustrated (internally) on a daily basis hearing what they say about Rob and others.

She couldn't even finish her popcorn. She was so caught up in the story and cried at the end. I was amazed at how fast the time flew when we were watching... I was so caught up with the character and the love between Tyler and his sister. So why are we beating ourselves up about how much money the movie made? Someone quite The Blind Side... SB has been around a long time.. she won a Razzie and an Oscar in the same weekend... 17 with ZE... was fluff... when he did a serious... how much money did it... Matt Damon's movie with the same ppl involved with the Bourne series... 100mil... it didn't even make a quarter of that and RP's RM cost 16ml... and it made more that half the money back... it's a serious movie.. teenagers barely reads a serious book.. RM isn't the kind of movie they like... all the element of their idea of fun was in it... you don't have triangle, no half naked body builder running around you don't have guys with big guns blazing and not one get shot... the story is a serious one... Lallieb: the issue is not whether BD will be made, but whether it's 1 or 2 movies and how big of a budget and marketing push Summit gives it. And as Aoibhneas pointed out: the leads' bankability goes a long way in deciding these things. And the chaff is needed to make big-time box office.
I suspect Summit was hoping RM would follow in the steps of The Blind Side. They are trying to do smaller, critically praised movies with solid returns. But there was a major difference, because for all the great things it has to offer, RM is not feel-good fare that ends with a Happily Ever After.
IMO Summit made a mistake when they tried to cater this flic to the Twi crowd, by reining it in at PG13. It was conceived as an edgier more hard-hitting R movie, as I understand it. That movie would have made a stronger impact and perhaps it would have drawn a different but bigger crowd, who knows?
It should have been obvious that this script did not have "big general public box office hit" written all over it, no matter who it starred! I don't think it's a good indication of Rob's real draw, given the right material. But it was a great step forward for him on many levels. Mr Pattinson is a smart cookie, he's not going to be content doing popcorn movies. I for one am thankful he didn't sign right on for another franchise!

Although, I thing he would agree--okay I feel uncomfortable putting words into his mouth--that it is a process and he has to earn it. Better that way than a here-today, gone-tomorrow phenomenon. IMO i dont see runaways doing any better than this next week, if even this good. but these are smaller films, away from the blockbuster and i think that is why they are doing these to step away from twihoopla. i also did see where kristen said that she does movies that no one sees.

I'm a teen, I'm 16, and I've already seen RM three time. My friend, who isn't a fan of Robert or Twilight, absolutely loved it and cried like a baby(which she rarely does whilst watching a movie).
Don't give up hope, people. I think 8.3 million is great for such an indie movie. Box-office shouldn't compare Avatar to Remember Me in any way.
There is just no comparison, it doesn't bring up the same subject matters, the same vibe..
Audience likes action movies, fantastic movies, special effects. Did you see that in RM? No.
I just don't see the point in trying to relate this movie with any other, we've said it in the past:
This movie is different than any other movie, it doesn't really fit in a particular genre.
Be proud of the fantastic choices Robert Pattinson makes. I am very thankful he participated in this movie, else it maybe wouldn't even have been made.

All of the movies rob is choosing will definitely separate the twifans from the true fans. That's why I think he is choosing such films. He knows what he is doing. Smart! Those of us that love him for who HE is and not his characters will be there to support him every step of the way! I for one have never been this invested in any other actor/celebrity before. He has something special that cannot be put into words. More and more will be joining our bandwagon in the coming years and I will be smiling, saying seeeee, I knew he was GREAT years ago!!!

i feel very...uncomfortable reading some comments what describe Twi-fans the same way Twi-haters do. don't get me wrong, i know we all love Robert first of all, but should we forget where this huge success came from? when did it start really? i believe most of Twi-hards are still RP fans. supposedly a big part of so-called *teenyboppers* just got over, but this is natural for this age, we didn't expect them to hit RM premier. but i"m still Twi-hard, this kind of illness makes me healthier literally and figuratively. Rob does owe himself, his many talents, beauty, charm etc. but Edward isn't really someone we should be ashamed of . no offence, please.

I am a HUGE Twilight fan! Team EDWARD all the way! Probably more so that most of the tweens I teach! I'm just saying that there is a maturity level that needs to be met before some can separate Rob from Edward. Those of us on this site have been able to separate the two, but a lot of twihards are still not there yet.

@Shari: the box office numbers are estimates based on most initial tallies for Friday and Saturday, and the pattern for Sunday. Actual numbers for the weekend won't be confirmed until Monday so numbers can go up or down - but the estimates are usually close.
Don't think its a contest. I hope both Rob's and Kristen's movies do well. Different release platforms anyway.
I don't know about anyone else but I'm doing everything I can to get the word out about "Remember Me".
I have it as my status on FB & Twitter and also have an RM Banner as my siggy on various BBs I visit.
I'm also pretty sure I won't be stopping at 4 viewings of Remember Me, either. ;)

It's a success because the film was made and has an audience. Rob made that happen.
Rob mentioned in the Today show interview that Will Fetters (the writer) told him, that they were shopping around the screenplay for two years. When Rob was attached, the studio gave the green light.
There are so many great films that never get made.
We should be proud. Rob took a risk, had the courage to do something new, something out of the box and we were able to share in the magic. He's going to go far and he's lucky to have an audience like us!!!
to femroc - RM will still be 2200 theaters this weekend, the runaways will only be in 16. It does not come out fully until April 9.

I wish TL well, I really do and if the blockbuster type movies are his thing then good for him but I think his people are looking at dollar signs.
Bruce Willis seems to be phoning it in these days but Tom Cruise has always had a solid hold on his career and script choices and he has mixed it up. Risky Business was huge for him and he didn't allow himself to be typecast.
Personally I prefer the choices being made by other members of the Twilight cast, Rob and Kristen especially.

I too like the choice those two are making. I like that Rob pick story with substance... it chalenges him as we can see from the Tyler character that he bring so much to life for me very convincingly indeed.
I too love that Rob is picking scripts with substance. I am sure that the powers that be are throwing all kinds of fluff at him and he himself has said that he was reading many scripts but they all had that sameness to them. Remember Me was different.
Look as well to his upcoming choices - Bel Ami, Water For Elephants, Unbound Captives and look at his previous work - Little Ashes and How To Be. Also look at the actors he's associating himself with.

I am so happy for Rob!! I think the 8.3 is great!! I am sure that there are many people who just have not got to the movie yet. And then there are those people like me who have already saw the movie and when I go to see something else at the movies as long as "Remember Me" is there I will end out going to see "Remember Me" again. He really did do an awesome job!!

Everyone was there to see Alice or the stupid Green mile or whateverthefuck it's called. 8.3 million is a very respectable number. Especially in limited theaters. Maybe we can pump it up to third this week. She's out of my leauge should not have been 3rd! But lets face it, guys would go see somthing that has tits and hot chicks over a drama anyday. (I cant even lable Remember Me as a romantic drama) The next time a guy insults Twilight or Rob I'm gonna go postal on their depraved asses!

First of all if you compare RM's genre and the contents of the movie itself, it would unlikely beat Alice in Wonderland, who's very much attractive for the younger demographic,just think about it if a mom has at least three kids and then multiply that to say 10 moms,that would be more money than just one mom with a teenage girl or a girl with her unwilling boyfriend or friend.
I hope Rob wouldn't get upset with just the numbers, anyway isn't RM an independent movie? They have said it already, I mean all of the cast of the movie refers to it as independent, right? And that figure is quite good for an independent movie.I know Rob has firmly said that he feels the pressure of carrying a movie but he didn't do it for fame or box office figures, but he did because he liked the script and felt like doing it.I hope it won't get him down or anything.

I am the biggest Twilight fan I know (books and movies), but after RM it almost seems trivial (as does everything, except my family and friends).
I was so lost in the movie that I didn't even give the Eclipse trailer a second thought (and I didn't even touch my twizzlers -- I usually eat a whole bag during every movie I see.)

RM just blew everything else out of the water. Just like that. Man, Robert has a power which has now exploded out of the Twi universe.
Because, no matter how we might be captivated by the movie as a whole, the score, script, directing, acting, etc., it is Rob's acting that was the linchpin, the glue, the substance of the film.
A lesser actor would have demolished the fine work of the others because Tyler is so very central. Could we see Zac, Taylor, or any of the other young guys out there, do this?
By the time we see Tyler standing, looking out the window not knowing at that very moment the doom awaiting him, we HAVE to be utterly emotionally invested in him, love him, cry for him. Could any of the other young actors do this?
Not suggesting there aren't other good and possibly great young actors out there. But Robert *effing Pattinson is a huge power to be reckoned with.
Blondie.rapture - I kinda agree. I can't believe a trite, unoriginal movie like 17 Again opened at 24million. We all applaud Rob for making smart choices and sticking to his beliefs but I also want him to have a long term career. All 3 of them - Rob, Kristen, Taylor - are being closely monitored by the industry, gauging how far they can take the Twilight success. Taylor is obviously taking the action-popcorn-movie route while Kristen has less to prove, having done many successful indie movies. The unknoWn is really more Rob. Given how the Twilight saga has plastered his face in every freaking magazine is putting him in an uninvited position, many of the anti-Twilight eager to take him down. Opening at 8.3M is perfectly reasonable, but it is below expectations. Whether it'll be another Blind Side is uncertain since that kind of response doesn't happen often. I know there's a lot of female non-teen audience there (look at the success of Sex & the City movie), I'm just not sure if some of Rob's fans waited to watch the movie thinking that others will take care of the opening weekend. I'm just sad (sorry for the long post). I love Rob and I wish him all the best.

I saw it with my fiancee Sunday night. Rob was BEAUTIFUL and acted so well. I'll see it again just to watch his performance.
However, I HATE sad movies and slipped out of the theater (I sat on the aisle) when Tyler left his apt. to go to his father office. SO glad I did...
When I returned to watch the credits, my guy was in tears. When we went to dinner we talked about the movie and he couldn't tell me what he thought about the end without choking up.
I know younger viewers may not be affected by the ending like he was (like I knew I would have been) because they don't remember 9-11 like we do... My God, we couldn't watch T.V. for weeks without crying.
I know one guy who plans on telling his friends to go see this movie...
I must say, I would never have even considered going to this had it not been for Rob. This is not a "feel good" movie like the Blind Side. It's a pretty DEPRESSING story. I don't think big numbers will be flocking to see it because of that.
I AM DISAPPOINTED that more fans of Rob did not go, because his performance was TOTALLY worth the price of admission. It is just messed up that the numbers were not higher. What kind of fans are these?!
I hate sad movies, but I managed to still support our boy, AND avoid the heart fail. I will be thinking about how dreamy Rob was, while my BF will be taking asprin for the sinus headache he got from crying. I kid you not.
Okay, I finally saw this long waited movie of Rob, Remember Me on Friday night, 7:30 show. It was almost full, not sold out, mostly females.
I couldn't see it on Saturday (sorry, Rob) due to too many activies for my kids and an important dinner we had to go to.
So, I went again today on Sunday, 2:40 p.m. show. It was a different theater and there were about 20 people. Yeah, it was sad that not many people were there to appreciate this beautiful, great film, we really do need to push the word-of-mouth!!
I personally thought it was just extraordinary. I haven't seen a good, well made movie like that in a long time. I didn't cry but was sad and sat there for a while afterwards.
I enjoyed it even more the second time around and I think I will watch it with my husband again and several more times as long as it's running.
Rob was too beautiful, gosh he has such a magnetic, incredible screen presence and I just loved seeing him just about every screen time.
It was pure heaven for me!!! :)
And more important than his beauty, what an incredible & fabulous actor he is!!
Like many of you said, he just blew me away and did not disappoint me at all!!

I think the numbers are really good for that size and type of movie, an indie film w/ a small budget.
I also think that tons of "Edward" fans and "Robsten" fans don't want to watch this film and stayed away purposely & didn't want to support it, which makes me very mad.

Personally I only like the Twilight films. I'm not going to be pretencious and say I enjoy or like the individual projects the actors make. A lot of them simply don't interest me, nor is there a rule that it has to.
For example it's like telling a star trek fan to go support all of Chris Pine's movies because "it's their duty" Gimme me a friggin break.
Well, it is a bit discouraging that RM didn't do better, on one hand, but what a great turnout by fans on the other - that couldn't disappoint, and RM held its own. More importantly, despite criticisms, the consensus is that at the very least, Rob has undeniable presence and is..um..'watchable.' Of course, he's more than just that, but that's a good baseline to set for the suits in general. Relief the initial weekend is over and can get back to the film itself....

They act like rob is the king of the world. He is the only reason why twilight is a sucess. No he isn't. That movie is a sucess because of SM books point.
RM didn't perform that well; so we trash others movies. We hope the same thing for his other co-star movies.

Of course the Twilight books were creating hysteria before the movies. There was mayhem with every appearance by the author Stephanie Meyer. Combine that with the palpable chemistry of the leads and there was no stopping it.
Choosing sides was always going to be, whether it was Edward or Taylor. The books themselves made the reader choose.

The 'problem' with some of 'Rob's' fans is that they are NOT Rob's fans, but Edward's... :( yeah, i know, I don't get it either. But that is why the numbers are not as good as Twilight or NM... KStew had nothing to do with how well Rob's RM did opening weekend. I just don't buy that. And it did do very well for a small movie that's not an action-packed thriller like most of the movies these days. No, it's not going to be a blockbuster but that's okay. Sure some of the Twilight fans haven't come to see it YET. That's why Rob is branching out with other films. He'll earn more respect and gain more non-Twilight fans through doing other movies like Bel Ami and WFE. Personally I think he's making some damn good choices.

I see that statement from Summit as a plug for Kristen's movie as well. It's definitely not a put down of Kristen Stewart in any way.
Both Rob and Kristen are with Summit for the Twilight series and are at present the only cast members in anything of note and creating all the buzz with their projects. Prior to that it was Anna Kendrick with all the buzz outside the Twilight series.
I think it's a cool statement from Summit seeing as the rep is giving a thumbs up to another studio's movie. Very rare.

From what I got from reading that statement... the PR person is saying that it doesn't hurt to have them out there... visible before Eclipse as two of the leads stars... I don't see anything that suggest that they each promote the other movies..
Ye Gawds... ppl are so darn testy... As a fan of both before Twilight and they brought those two character to life for me... if they weren't good I wouldn't bother... they are so many young stars out there that doesn't interest me all but they do. Period.
Look, this is not a depressing story. It is a story that is well acted about love and lost. It makes you to want to go home and hug those dear to you and tell them you love them for life is short. Everyone should see this movie just for that factor, also for the fact that you can't take your eyes off of Rob. You won't regret seeing it and stay through the whole movie for it is worth it.
