Not Sofia Coppola! Marie Antoinette, anyone? What's her track record for SFX? Lost in Translation? Not my favourite film: only the scene with the Japanese friends was credible in my opinion, and that kind of thing is usually my cup of tea.
Femroc-Im assuming ur azz is going?? dont torture me hon. And --I must say Ole Roberto is lookin FKN HOOOOOT in this photo. His sex just slapped me sideways :)
I too, had a bit of a secret thing for Canoe (as a friend of mine calls him). I loved him in the one about the surfer bank robbers as well, even though the film itself was complete guff.
I've never actually seen Marie Antoinette, but heard that it was visually spectacular. I have a feeling that's where all the budget went. It sort of sounds like she was attempting to channel Quentin Tarantino for that one. Hmm.
Still, everyone's allowed their muck-ups, for want of a better word.
I actually loved Marie Antoinette (did I spell that sh!t right? eh.. who cares..anywho-) I HATED her (sofia C)acting in the Godfather. I thought that some of the music in Marie A sucked and didnt match the theme. It clashed. Everything else was kickazz.
@Fifty: sorry to hear about your spanked arse (!). I'm mentally sending you calomine lotion to make your behind even pinker.
I did leave a message for Staceybuckleuk on one of the earlier posts, but I think she's gone. I'm still not sure I'd make it in time for the actual walk-past but I'd happily meet her for a drink afterwards if she's at a loose end. We'll probably be ships in the night.
And Femroc: another great avi, by the way. If you're going to Bobby Long, don't you think you'd better get your arse through the door?
@ Lemonless Point Break - that was a great film, mainly due to Keanu in the wetsuit, and out of the wetsuit LOL. God, I really give the impression that I have a one track mind... Got to work on that ;)
One happy thing in my otherwise completely crappy day - I saw a big RM poster on a bus outside my office whilst in a (supposedly important) meeting. One of the guys I work with started to laugh when he saw me looking at it - we BOTH love Rob (he (my colleague)is the campest man ever). I nearly peed myself laughing...
Same here, Fifty. When I count up all the ones I've gone 'Hmmm' to I inwardly blush. No-one in RL would recognise me, here! Well, I don't think so...
and thanks: I was having a senior moment with that title: Point Break, of course. Never got the appeal of Patrick Swayze (GRHS)myself, until I saw Donnie Darko, of all things.
I'm with you Lemonless on Patrick Swayze(GRHS), especially in PB, the wetsuit highlighted his lack of a neck(!) and as for that hair... But Keanu was tasty.
@ Lemonless What, did he speak? I have obviously matured somewhat since then, as I love Rob more than I ever loved Keanu but I can pretty much recall his every line in every film I've seen him in. I am clearly devoted...
OOh, Fifty, I'm more interested in Rob because he seems more like the total package. Don't get me wrong, if we're objectifying men here, they'd both be on my mantelpiece, but I'm not sure you'd get a sensible conversation out of Canoe that would last beyond discussion of his career. Ouch, that sounds harsh to my own ears.
At least Rob talks about tropical diseases and other stuff. If I got to have a proper conversation there's so much I'd like to gauge his opinion on, and I bet he could talk all week about it.
@Fae: So sad about both brothers, in their different ways.
Whatever he's like as a person, Joaquin blew me away as Johnny Cash. I thought his interaction with Reese Witherspoon was wonderful (mind you, she totally deserved the Oscar).
@audrey: do you mean Good Will Hunting? Yes, that was lovely, and not typical, either.
@Fae: I'm sad about Joaquin because he seems to have gone off the deep end a bit recently, just at the time when he seemed to be doing his best stuff.
It's what makes me wary for Rob as well, because it's such a strange game, this movie business, as seen from the outside. We little watchers can have no idea of half of the stuff that goes on. Oh, where's Nikola when you need her?
Do you really think BD would be Gus Van Sant's bag? I've said this before, the plot is completely out there, some of it it just bizarre. I fell about laughing at some of it when I read it. Really loved that Nicole Kidman film he did. Was it "To Die For"? Also Milk and Good Will Hunting. Just doesn't seem a good fit IMHO.
Fifty: Yes, To Die For. I think GvS singlehandedly resurrected Matt Dillon's career (another of my 'Hmm's, btw) in that. Joaquin was in that one, too!
I would love love love to see Rob in a GvS movie some day soon, but not in BD. Well, I'm not really that keen to see BD made at all, whether it's one or two films. I agree with you, bits of it were laugh-out-loud, and not in a good way. It had its moments, of course, but I've always felt it was a book that SM was pressured to write.
Re: BD the book. But ballsy to write the ending as she did, especially if the film rights for the first three were already being fought over. [Am I right in my timings, or out?]
How many other books or films have a non-battle for the climax?
@ Lemonless Some posts back you mentioned Rob and conversation. ITA, he really does seem interesting, and fun, although sometimes in interviews he needs to employ a brain to mouth filter LOL. Keanu, again ITA, only good to look at. Rob is definitely the whole package!
@Fae: well, if anyone could give that storyline credibility, I suppose GvS has as good a shot at it as anyone.
@Fifty: Brain to Mouth filter, but only sometimes. I love some of his Robisms, although I'd also love him to give me a pound for every 'I don't know' that he tags onto the beginning of his answers!
My posts are all over the place tonight, just like my brain LOL. Could certainly see Rob in GvS film, just not BD. Something with a bit more substance and a little less craziness.
@ Lemonless "I don't know" (messes with hair or generally waves hands about) LOL To be fair, it may be a reaction to being asked the same questions repeatedly for days on end, he must've needed a stiff drink at the end of those days. Poor baby.
@ Fae Ah honey, I will make you feel good by admitting that I shall be a spectacularly ancient 48 on Saturday. Don't feel it ,and my kind friends say I don't look it, but they may be frightened to upset me ;)
@Fifty: Solidarity, girl, I'm 45. And I act younger every minute! It's why I stay up so late: by the time midnight comes I've regressed to being a two year old.
Rob does have beautiful hands, face,strong neck, body, I could go on and on. Lucky girl in there with all those guys. I guess everyone knows that Rob modeled his hands in a women's catalogue for rings.
@ Lemonless Solidarity indeed. I do actually feel in my prime mentally, most days anyway! Know what you mean about the regression. My friends have teenage kids who find me childish... They are sooo serious.
Uh, Fifty, you lost me too. I think I'm going to need to haul my poor wrinkly arse off to bed, soon if I'm going to stand a chance of getting up in the morning.
'Youth is wasted on the young'. I make an exception for you, Fae, and for Rob, of course: you both seem like old souls, for all your exuberance. And what a wonderful mixture that is!
@Fifty: you're only as old as the man you feel. Hence my presence on this site... (Using 'feel' in its loosest connotation, of course.)
@Fifty: It gets worse and worse! I felt a bit like that when I turned 44 and realised that Rob was born while I was at university. And I had gap years.
But I refer to my earlier quote by the estimable Mae West. In fact, I cling to it.
@Lemonless Rob was born when I was nowhere yet, but that doesn't matter! ;)
@Fifty I'm doing nothing special, just a couple of friends and drink and the out somwhere probably. And my sister's taking me to see RM next week! That would be the best post celebration! Or that would be a celebration! :DDDDD You?
@Fae No big celebration, I try to keep a low profile these days. Going out for pizza with husband and children early Saturday evening and then out with the girls sometime next week. Obviously there will also be a bit of a girls night in to watch my copy of NM when it arrives, so looking forward to that. Hope you have fun on Friday!
Fifty I don't like to plan, it doesn't work out as you imagined it. So hope we'll both have fun! :) Go to the newest post! See the video I posted! I have to go to bed! Sweet dreams!
Who is Sam Bradley? I always think our English friends on this site have so much inside knowledge that i don't have. Thanks for sharing a wonderful picture of Rob. I'm assuming Sam Bradley is the guy in the back road on the far right. Right?
Thanks, rpattzgirl. I read that too. I am a little bit hoping for Sofia Coppala mainly because I think New Moon was missing a woman's touch. In the quest for more action and to bring in male fans I think it lost a little bit of the heart of the love story. Just me probably. Gus Van Sant is fantastic too. Glad Summit is going to go for a great director for Breaking Dawn.
Speaking of his hands ~ 'Remember Me' is full of Rob-porn-hands... I almost couldn't help myself when he held the wine glass at the restaurant... GAH! =)
Shari G- Sam is one of Rob's childhood friends. He's apart of the Britpack. And yeah back row to the right at the end with curly hair and white t-shirt with black jacket.

I'm so glad Rob has friends who are outside of the hollywood scene. He is the beautiful one of the crew thats for shizzle!
He...he just stoods out! He's out of this world! So gorgeous!
And Sam- I love you man! And your music! :)
@RPG GUS VAN SANT!!!!!! Squeeeee! Love him! My own private Idaho!!!!!
Not Sofia Coppola! Marie Antoinette, anyone? What's her track record for SFX? Lost in Translation? Not my favourite film: only the scene with the Japanese friends was credible in my opinion, and that kind of thing is usually my cup of tea.
I really liked the look of Marie Antoinette, though all of my friends thought it was drivel. The costumes were sumptuous and the music was brilliant.
Anyone around tonight?
I am in deperate need of fun!!
Lemonless are you still here?
Gus Van Sant, hmm, loved My Own Private Idaho... Keanu used to be my obsession long ago!
Fifty! Thank God! I thought I was talking to myself!
You ok?
Rob is so cute!! :)
Oh, and Rob looks yummy in this photo, stands out in a crowd for sure!
@ Lemonless
Hiya! I'm fine but RL spanked my arse hard today! I need the original Fifty to rub some of his healing lotion on it...
Did you see StaceyBuckleyUK's posts from earlier today? She was wondering if anybody was going to Leicester Sq tomorrow.
Go on - you know you want to;))
Femroc-Im assuming ur azz is going?? dont torture me hon. And --I must say Ole Roberto is lookin FKN HOOOOOT in this photo. His sex just slapped me sideways :)
As always, Fifty!

Aww, Fifty, you with the poster and a bit of girlie bonding! Glad you had some respite in your day.
Mine just bored the arse off me, and I'm going to go back and do it all over again tomorrow, and the next day.
I'm with you Lemonless on Patrick Swayze(GRHS), especially in PB, the wetsuit highlighted his lack of a neck(!) and as for that hair... But Keanu was tasty.
Tasty in PB and also in Much Ado About Nothing, even if he couldn't speak the verse to save his life. Who was listening to him?
And that had Kenneth Branagh in it, too!
@ Lemonless
What, did he speak?
I have obviously matured somewhat since then, as I love Rob more than I ever loved Keanu but I can pretty much recall his every line in every film I've seen him in.
I am clearly devoted...
@Lemonless River Phoenix.... :DDDDDDD I have no words for him except the best ones... :(((
OOh, Fifty, I'm more interested in Rob because he seems more like the total package. FILTM!
@Fae
Hi! Did I see somewhere that it's your birthday this weekend? It's mine on Saturday (holds up glass and shouts "cheers"!).
I´m reading news about BD and please I don´t want Sofia Coppola!!
I prefer Gus Van Sant, he´s really good and did a fantastic job in the movie with Matt Damon, I don´t remember the name sorry.
IMO Keanu isn't that good actor. But River nailed it!
He and his brother are really among the best ones ever.
@ Fae and Fifty: Happy Birthday to you both!
@Fifty yeeey! Mine is on friday! Cheers! :D
@Fae: So sad about both brothers, in their different ways.
Whatever he's like as a person, Joaquin blew me away as Johnny Cash. I thought his interaction with Reese Witherspoon was wonderful (mind you, she totally deserved the Oscar).
OMG I just realized my name dissapeared! I have to fix it! :)
@Lemonless why are you so sad about Joaquin?
@Fae
I noticed your name, just thought you were going all minimalist on us!
@Fifty LOL NEVER! :)
@Lemonless oh Leaf will come back! I know it! :)
@Fae, I do hope so: now there's a man who can brood.
I'm glad you picked up your name again, Honey. It's wrong to drop litter!
@Lemonless LOL! It wasn't my fault! My laptop did it somehow! :)
@Fae: maybe it's trying to claw back some of the memory you insist on using for annie's robporn!
@Lemonless actually it was because of the videos! LOL I can't explain now, but it has something to do with it!
@Fifty! Yes "To Die For"! Joaquin! :)
Fifty: Yes, To Die For. I think GvS singlehandedly resurrected Matt Dillon's career (another of my 'Hmm's, btw) in that. Joaquin was in that one, too!

Some posts back you mentioned Rob and conversation. ITA, he really does seem interesting, and fun, although sometimes in interviews he needs to employ a brain to mouth filter LOL.
Keanu, again ITA, only good to look at.
Rob is definitely the whole package!
Rob said one time that he wants Gus Van Sant to direct BD! :)
And he also sais his favourite actor is Joaquin! I love him! :D
I even want to know who he'll be voting for! Is that so wrong??
@Fae: well, if anyone could give that storyline credibility, I suppose GvS has as good a shot at it as anyone.
@Fifty: Brain to Mouth filter, but only sometimes. I love some of his Robisms, although I'd also love him to give me a pound for every 'I don't know' that he tags onto the beginning of his answers!

Could certainly see Rob in GvS film, just not BD. Something with a bit more substance and a little less craziness.
@Fifty may I know how old will you be on saturday?
Ah,Fae, I hold up my hands to 'probably'. And 'just'. I probably should just try harder. ;-)
@ Lemonless
"I don't know" (messes with hair or generally waves hands about) LOL
To be fair, it may be a reaction to being asked the same questions repeatedly for days on end, he must've needed a stiff drink at the end of those days.
Poor baby.
Lemonless "really" ;D
@ Fae
Ah honey, I will make you feel good by admitting that I shall be a spectacularly ancient 48 on Saturday. Don't feel it ,and my kind friends say I don't look it, but they may be frightened to upset me ;)
@Fifty: Too true. I'd probably want to say a lot more than 'I don't know' to some of the questions if I got asked them twenty times in ten minutes.
@Fifty make me feel good? LOL You're in your prime girl! Especially if you feel like it. Me for example, I feel old.
@Fae
OK, you are obliged to tell me now...
@Fifty my age?
@Fae
LOL - clearly my old age makes me react and type very slowly ;)
@Fifty LOL I think I'm the one slow here. You confused me now!
@ Lemonless
Solidarity indeed. I do actually feel in my prime mentally, most days anyway! Know what you mean about the regression. My friends have teenage kids who find me childish... They are sooo serious.
@Fae - yes, go on I can take it...
Uh, Fifty, you lost me too. I think I'm going to need to haul my poor wrinkly arse off to bed, soon if I'm going to stand a chance of getting up in the morning.
@Fifty 23
No ladies I am the confused/confusing one - sorry! My typing can't keep up with my brain - or is it the other way round?
'Youth is wasted on the young'. I make an exception for you, Fae, and for Rob, of course: you both seem like old souls, for all your exuberance. And what a wonderful mixture that is!
@Fifty: you're only as old as the man you feel. Hence my presence on this site... (Using 'feel' in its loosest connotation, of course.)
@ Fae
So will you be 24 on Friday then?
OMG I will be TWICE your age!
@Lemonless thank you! (blush)
@Fifty No, I'll be 23 on friday.
Reciting loads of cliches in my head "Age is just a number" etc.
Of course it's just a number! See how we understand each other! :)
You'll be 23, even worse for me...
Are you doing anything special to celebrate?
@Fifty: It gets worse and worse! I felt a bit like that when I turned 44 and realised that Rob was born while I was at university. And I had gap years.
But I refer to my earlier quote by the estimable Mae West. In fact, I cling to it.
@ Lemonless
Are you feeling a younger man? Mine is slightly younger, and my word he likes to remind of it, frequently.
There are a couple of younger men I'd like to feel, but I don't think they'd let me. God, that sounds pervy!
Right, Mrs Robinson is definitely hauling her sorry carcass off to bed.
Night, all!
x
@Lemonless
Not pervy - optimistic!
Goodnight Lemonless! Sweet dreams!
You should go tomorrow - you know you want to...
:DDDDD

Thanks, Shani. It is so cool that he has kept his childhood friends. He is that kind of guy and it makes him even more loveable if that were possible.
