I am sure Summit will be delighted to hear that. Surely they have at least 2 hours of him walking in their files. lolz
I really wished they had kept the shot of Bella and Edward from behind Jacob's back. I think its beautiful. And not just because of Taycob's beautiful back, but because it would have added some breadth to the scene. They went through all the trouble of actually filming on location, but then all the shots are extremely close ups. Of importance is the shot when Jacob tries to move Edward's arm from around Bella with the "You don't speak for her" line. That would have been so powerful had we been able to see the actual dynamics of their love triangle. I guess I'll have to settle for the funny blooper instead.
This is my third time on this board and it may be my last because I am going to be critical about New Moon after viewing the extended scenes. I love the books let me begin there and I adore Robert but I am afraid his acting skills where no where as good as his skills in Remember Me. I agree with you Suzanne that the ending would have been better the camera had panned back so you could see exactly what was happening Bella, Edward, and Jacob. The missing element in this movie was the chemistry between Bella and Edward. I would like to mention a few of the moments that could have really established the chemistry between Bella and Edward:
1) Intrduction of Edward at School, instead of slo-mo walk-in that made him look clownish with that terrible make-up, he should have been waiting for her with Alice so no extra scenes of Jacob and Alice jumping from the staircase would have been needed. 2)The party: Why wasn't Edward guarding Bella, instead of standing in the middle of the room, if you have a loved one in danger, your natural inclination is to guard them. 3)Taking Bella Home after party: They should have had them in Bella's room opening her present from Edward, to show how loving a gift this truly was for her. Edward would still be upset with what occured at the party, however, this scene will establish the next emotional scene the break-up. It would have been gut-wrencing. I heard no one crying at the Break-Up scene like I did at Remember Me. 4)The Meadow Scene: Here was an opportunity to re-do the meadow scene in Twilight that was butchered, instead they make them look like dead bodies (per Rpattz on commentary of Twilight) instead of intimate, i.e. having his nose run up her neck and inhaling her scent or her really touching him. 5)The Underwater scene: They looked like mannequins, I would have loved to hear Robert's sultry voice just telling her to swim than to see him floating under her like a dead body and then being upside down, to weird. 6)After the reunion. Another missed opportunity to create that bond between Bella and Edward. The kiss was great but after that what a letdown. He should have been clinging to her like he did in the garage scene in Twilight when she was leaving for Arizona. instead of him barely holding her hand. The elevator scene, come on he should have been attached to her like a baby. Instead he is looking down away from her, where is the love? 7)They should have done the vote completely different and again there is no connection. They should have been around the table with him holding her hand and him storming off after Carlisle gives the final vote, it would have been funny and touching.
There are other things I could mention but I would like to hear from you if you felt there are moments in the film that could have been improved. I don't want to know much about Eclipse, so I won't be disappointed if it does not meet the hype, however, I can tell you I can see a vast improvement with the chemistry between Bella and Edward from the trailer at Remember Me. I know it is just a movie, but I hate being taken for a ride and not enjoying the view. I will say the cinematogaphry was exceptional. I apologize length of this comment, but I had to get this off my chest, heavy weight has been lifted.
Thanks so much for the new moon dvd footage-apparently it's gonna be mid-April til we get it in NZ!!! Crazy!!!
@ Iluvthemovies...u r so onto it!!! There were so many more "chemistry/rebonding" that needed to happen between Bella and Edward, like coming home on the plane from the Volturi cause in the book you could feel the intense reconnection. I liked the ou don't extra dialogue in the extended hallway scene...especially a , friend being someone you don't wanna kiss or kill-cool line

I want to apologize in advance for my many errors in grammer, I did not proof it as well as I had wished.
I agree with you Desi, extended hall and classroom scenes IMO were better than the original scenes. If they deleted the scenes of Jacob giving her the dreamcatcher and Alice jumping off the staircase, the extended scenes would have fit the time constraints mentioned by Chris Weitz.
I wanted to also say you are spot on with the homecoming scene, how about when he takes Bella home and Charlie is so steamed, talk about your intense scenes between Charlie and Edward, it would have been smokin.
barbara I own all 4 store versions of the dvd and it's the Boarders Exclusive edition that has the extended scenes on it. The Target version has deleted scenes on it. Hope that helps a little.
Has anyone noticed on the Boarders version of the dvd in the interviews with the cast members section, they interview Chris Wietz and he has some major pit stain issues going on. It was driving me crazy during the whole interview. Just wanted to see if anyone else noticed it.
@haystackhair yeah it kind of sucks that you have to buy both the boarders and the target to get all the scenes. I'm just beyond obsessive and bought Best Buy, Target, Boarders, and walmart just to have every bit of extra footage that is out there.

I would definitely watch a movie where Robert is only walking for 2 hours!
He could walk towards the Volturi forever.

Listened to Chris's commentary today... very interesting and insightful. There was quite alot of thought in stuff. I was very impressed.
I would like to know where can I get those extended scenes from
@luvthemovies~Totally agree with everything you mentioned... i would add a few more of my own, but its late and I'm tired.
