England is all abuzz about Rob wanting to be James Bond. He said it very flippantly on the red carpet in a hurry from one to another just to give an answer to someone and they make it a huge deal like he's DYING to do it.........but I don't think he is at all. He's only 23 and admits he doesn't like stunts and can't run very well and Sean Connery was 32 when he did his first bond and Daniel Craig was 38 when he did his first one.
So even if he did do it, which I doubt, it would be at least a decade.......calm down Brits, leave the boy alone.
yeh, as we say in Hungary, storm in a cup. Journalists misunderstood Rob again.

I have to say, Bella's wig looks amazing!
I was worried about that seeing the wigs weren't good in New Moon. But The wigs on Carlisle and Rosalie look good this time. I'm glad Jasper got his own hair back too.

I can not wait for this movie!!!!!! I think DS is gonna surprise us after all....

Where did you hear that? I'm sure its been blown out of proportion.
I saw that interview. He said something like, he guessed he would if he was much older. But he meant he would have to be mad to turn down something like that if the opportunity came up. But that he didn't think it would. That's the feeling I got.
What ever he said would have been wrong. If he said "no" the gossip mags would have said something like "Rob thinks he's to good to play the legendary James bond now"

OMG! I was feeling a lot of trepidation about the trajectory of Eclipse, but I just watched the scene with Edward and Bella at the end of the film, and I'm thrilled. They GOT the emotional component. I have no doubt David Slade will nail the other parts.
I love Rob fighting in his beanie & black socks! Cracks me up, and as always, he looks so hot doing it!
I wonder how all the smokers did on the tread mill? I quit 6 yrs ago & still can't run... sucks!
This clip completely got me so excited for Eclipse I have a feeling that this movie will be the best of the 3 movies already made. I think DS will really surprise us all!. Also I love how on the Walmart version they had a edward fast forward option which only showed the edward parts!
A little too much David Slade in the Eclipse Sneak Peek. I think Rob's acting (in the end scene) is great. It is an improvement and change from New Moon.

gracefulgrace.......I can't remember where I read it but they were saying there were many reports that immediately went out after that girl asked him about being James Bond on the red carpet at the premiere the other night - sounded like lots of lies were going out about it........just like they do everywhere when he says something the slightest bit controversial. It's ridiculous.

About the James Bond buzz:I really think he should stop doing interviews sometimes... his answer was perflectly clear and genuine and modest as usual. He takes time to answer honestly and to show respect to all these reporters - and this what happens. Other movie stars are not always no nice. Whatever he says is now exploited and twisted out of its original meaning. I know journalists and tabloids do that all the time,with everyone, but they seem to enjoy picking on him more than anyone else. Maybe he should stop being so nice to them?

I was really worried at first when I heard about DS directing, but now I think that I'm really going to love all the raw edginess that he's probably going to bring to this! And we've already seen that he's not forgetting about the romance.

I really have not heard any kind of a fuss about the James Bond comments. Nothing at all.
So looking forward to Eclipse, so far it looks amazing - can't wait!

Pierce Brosnan was asked his opinion on Rob doing James Bond, he just kind of laughed it off and said that maybe when Rob was a little older, and that he needed a little more "meat" on his bones!! If Rob did the 007 thing, it would have to be a few years off, he's too young right now. But somehow I don't think that's something he'd be doing, I'd be surprised if he did. Not that I wouldn't think he'd look damn hot, but I'd be surprised just the same.
Fighting in his black socks and beanie - hmmmmm wonder if he wears the black socks in bed!! I had a b/f who did that, used to irk the hell out of me, but if Rob did it??? Probably not.
Perhaps someone will come up with a script on the origins of James Bond, from when he was a teen and young adult, how he got to be Bond James Bond. :-)
There is just so much to be excited about in this clip. Rob's newborn athleticism should be fun to watch. I've been dying to see the sight of the tent scene and I finally spotted it at :51. It goes by quickly, so be ready to pause. I do hope that DS will be kind to himself by making this movie two hours and a half. Because it looks like they covering a lot of book and to do so with significant time constraint could mean a choppy movie, not unlike NM. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed NM as beautiful vignettes, but the transitions and story-telling qualities were extremely lacking. The exception being the Victoria chase to the cliff of great coincidence. That was way cool.
Other things I enjoyed:
The grape and football toss with Taycob. I love that KStew has a stand in even for that. :)
I love that Rob is standing by watching KStewbella and Taycob bond with grape tossing, football tossing and back flips. By the last back flip Rob looks like he's had a enough and turns away. :)
All the wigs look nice. It took the bald director to figure out what hair should look like on screen. Figures!
Costumes look awesome!
I am curious as hell about everything, but I do hope they will keep our purity rings intact by limiting the number of scenes they show. I want to be able to see something completely new on 6/30 and not because I exercised great constraints, because that is NOT happening.
On a unrelated note, Summit may have inadvertently sunk The Runaways with the release of the DVD on the same weekend as TR' opening. :( It didn't even make it to the top 10.

To M - with 244 theaters the runaways is actually looking pretty good. I think it was like 5th in per screening totals.

janna's right,the Runaways only opened in a few theatres.Nationwide and internationally will be April 9th I think..............and of course that's Kristens bday.........so Happy Birthday Kristen for April 9...........
omg i had to keep rewinding just to watch rob run and do stunt training.... but then after awhile i wanted to laugh... i started thinking about things he said about him running and fighting...and then the faces he made.. i had to pause a few times to stare... gahhh. i love him. eclipse is my favorite book of the series and i'm so excited for it. i think it's gonna be better than we think.
