Well I Don't Know About Robert Pattinson But I'm Bothered

Once again Jimmy Fallon is bothered. This time by Valentines Day. Now I don't know if it's just me but I don't find these bothered vids that funny. I have never seen the Jimmy Fallon show so maybe that's why but I am looking forward to seeing Rob on the Show. I wonder will Jimmy be in his Edward outfit or maybe he'll get Rob to do a bothered vid with him!

I'd love to see Rob doing something like this, the original and (in my opinion) the best. Sorry Jimmy ;-)

ETA: And because my brain is not in full working order this morning, I forgot to say that Rob has actually worked with Catherine before. In case you thought you recognised her she played Charlie's Mum, Karen in "The Bad Mothers Handbook" and was the original reason that I watched it because when it was shown on TV over here years ago I didn't have a clue who Robert Pattinson was. Oh how things have changed. LOL
Thanks to Haystacker in the comments for reminding me!

  1. I love David Tennant! I'm so sad he left Dr. Who.

  2. Well, it's not funny because he's not actually parodying Rob. He doesn't mimic any of his mannerisms at all and Rob doesn't bitch all the time the way that Jimmy plays it. Also, he's not even making fun of Rob's accent because Rob doesn't have that kind of English accent (he doesn't say bovered). I don't really understand this skit at all. I think it would be amazing if they could do an ACTUAL parody of Rob. That could be really hilarious. This is not.

  3. I love bothered Rob, I think it´s extremely funny and I was LMAO while watching the video!

  4. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't find the skits funny. I must admit i did laugh at the very first one he did but it got old after that!

And jimmy must have been really bothered by my opinion coz i just relaised the vid wasn't working LOL But it is now.... i think ;-)

  5. they are occasionally funny, but this one not so much. Wonder what Rob thinks of them. It is sure to come up right? LOL
Now the second vid, hilarious. Is that the mum from RMHB? She looks like her.

  8. When comparing Jimmy Fallon to Catherine Tate and David Tennant, Jimmy Fallon SUCKS! CT is f-ing hilarious. What a great skit. Would love to see Rob do that. Is Rob funny? Do we know? Thanks for posting that Kate.

  9. I think Rob is funny. I could totally se him pulling something like this off!

  10. Kate-he's funny in an unscripted conversation, so yes, I agree, he should be super good in a scripted skit. Maybe he'll do a comedy some day. I would love that.

  11. ...somehow I cant play it on my PC. I liked the very first skit, I thought it was funny.

  12. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Thanks for that Kate..OMG..I'm laughing so hard I have tears rolling down my face~!!!

  13. OMG, that was hysterical! Catherine Tate is wonderful...and David Tennant ain't so bad, himself! lol

    Thanks, Kate! MUAH!

  14. Well this is supposed to be called "Edward is bothered", cause this is not Robert. Robert doesn't say "bothered" that much, maybe not even at all, he says, BIZZARE AND COMPLETELY BIZZARE, and he smiles all the time, and touches his hair, face, ears, nose and he's not grumpy like this guy in the video. I think Rob would laugh at the parody of him, in fact he'd be executive producer of it! ;)

  15. OMG Catherine & David vid was hysterical!!!

Can't see the JF video, it's just a big while spot...

  16. I <3 DT so much, i cried during the last episode of Dr. Who with him.
Catherine Tate is just pure genius, she always make me ROFL.

    Jimmy Fallon *thumbs down*

    ReplyDelete
  17. Lol, how come you guys don't like the JF one?! Is it cause he is making fun of Edward? I think the stuff he did is funny! It had really nothing to do with EC but it was funny! Haha this crap piece goes here..

  18. The time Lord himself and Donna Noble.I love them :D and much funnier.

  19. kate--I don't find it funny either, but then I am told I have no sense of humour. :-)

  20. Catherine is fall down funny, and if Jimmy wants to know how to 'be bothered' - she's been doing it for years. Lauren's every teacher's worst nightmare...lol David's one of the few to ever 'win' a round with her.

Disappointed that David had to drop out of "Burke and Hare" but I hope the rumours about a Dr.Who movie are true.

  21. LOL @ second video. David Tennant and Catherine Tate are awesome- and Rob got to work with both of them.. or well, at least he's been in a movie with them. I really need to catch up on Doctor Who though.. had no idea he left the show.

  22. OK-- For the 2nd video, I laughed til there were tears rolling down my cheeks. I've never seen anytihng like this before-- a wee bit like SNL was decades ago, maybe. Now THAT WAS funny!

  23. I've never seen Dr. Who. I don't think we get in the states, and I don't recall it when I lived in Ireland either.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @solas,Doctor who is great.I just love that show. There has been many Doctors but David is the best Doctor :D

    ReplyDelete
  25. ok--for those of you who know my sense of humour (or lack thereof) is it worth getting a set of Dr. Who dvd's?

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Solas: Dr.Who is on BBC America in the States - if you have cable or satellite. You have to like cheesy sci-fi - but it's done with good actors, a tongue-in-cheek attitude, and some imagination. Actually, having seen the inside of the Tardis - a lot of imagination...lol

  27. ok ap--thanks. In any case, this was cute.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I find Fallon's funny, but just because of his sense of humor-I don't think it's a real parody of Rob at all! He could be playing any British person just for the (really bad) accent, he probably just picked Rob because he's wildly popular and recognizable and that way he could do all the skits in a tree. ;)

The second one had me LMAO! Bite me, alien boy! hahaha

  31. JF should not have tried to copy British or Scottish or English version. Tennant and Tate can't be topped. I guess we here in America had no idea the original was such a gem. Thanks so much for sharing-at least I have a glimmer of what JF was trying to do-and didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Maybe you have to be there or maybe you just didn't hold the 'you need to laugh now' card high enough.

    Pants if you ask me

  33. I like Jimmy when he's doing what he does best: improving and riffing in the moment, singing with guests. I hope he'll do something fun with Rob.

  35. If you enjoyed that vid you should check out this one

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thanks, Kate--that was cute!
I am trying to understand this phenomenon--is she so famous, or is/was her show so famous, that they were able to have Tony Blair on? Or was that just an actor looking precisely like Tony Blair?

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Robfan4sure-
I love love JF! Like he just makes me laugh and giggle while I watch him. Glad to know someone likes him on here(:

    ReplyDelete
  38. Solas there's a thing in England called red nose day and it raises money for charity. The tony Blair and David tennant skits were both done for that. Lots of celebraties take part and make fools of themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Aah Sarah I'm not sayin I don't like him I've never even seen his show so that would be really unfair of me. I said that in the post that I hadn't seen it but I just don't find his bothered thing funny. I did laugh at the first one I must admit but then they just got a bit stupid and I was just trying to show with catherines vid that it was already done :-/

  40. @Solas! Forget Dr. Who and jump right over to the good stuff! Torchwood!!!! (Dr.W spin off, much better, IMO---Gwen laughs, naturally.)

Torchwood is also an anagram of Doctor Who. Mindless trivia. Compliments of "Gwen Cooper". (Blatant inside joke.)

Seriously, if new to Torchwood, highly recommend the "Children of Earth" mini-season that came out this summer. Now on DVD (Blu Ray too). BBC America is awesome!

Did "Gwen" mention that she's a HUGE Torchwood fan?

    ReplyDelete
  41. This is one of my favourite Catherine Tate skits!Remember when it came on TV, it is still hilarious.
    Am I bovvered? F-ing genius.
As for that Jimmy Falon guy I didn't really find him funny.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @Gwen,Love the torchwood too ;)Ohhh you're "Gwen Cooper". Why did I notice that before.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Annie, you're like, maybe the second person, ever, to catch it! Obviously, Torchwood needs a larger fan base! ; ) LOL.

So, here's another shout-out: Torchwood Rocks!!!

Kinda like flipping X-Files upside-down, giving M&S keys to the MIB-kingdom (Wales & England, anyway) and having trippy, sarcastic, sometimes even scary, fun chasing all sorts of terrestrial and NON-terrestrial beings---good and bad. The characters are fucking fantastic!

Guess which one is my fav? ; )

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks Kate and Gwen. I never heard of most of these. I did hear of Dr. Who but never saw it. I will have to see it Netflex carries any of these. The classroom piece was MY style of humour. The faces were spot on! Thanks again, I needed a GOOD laugh from REAl humour. ;-) 0:-)

  45. I don't get BBC America- I had wanted to see the Henry 8th series and just did not get it on my cable.

Isn't Chldren of the Earth the Clan of the cave bear folks? No desire for that. And do these all come with laugh tracks? I don't like laugh tracks--as if dictating to me what is funny, when to laugh! as if!

  47. @Gwen, well since you chose the name Gwen, iguessGwen but Jack Harkness maybe? He is my favorite :)
    I loved torchwood from the first episode. I'm a sci-fi freak ;)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Solas, God, NO! Yes, I read those books (wow, there's a time trip for ya!) and no, this is NOT that at all.

Torchwood isn't actually a funny show (at least not intentionally, like Dr. W, with the even-cheesier special effects). It's kind of creepy, scary, very intelligent, very liberal show (understatement) and makes you wish you knew these characters. It actually crosses genres, so it's hard to define---maybe X-Files meets MI-5 meets Supernatural? That said, it's very down-to-earth in feeling---and the show can keep you on edge quite a bit as well. Episode "Small Worlds", Season 1, ep #5, scary, very! But what a freaking twist on faeries! Amazing.

As for this past season (mini-season 3), Children of Earth is basically a 5-part mini-series. Extremely serious, very, very good. Shocking even. Bit biblical, bit prophetic, well-done. IMO.

If you can NetFlix it, do so!!! I would, however, caution against younger children watching it. Not gory (rarely), but quite frequently scary.

  49. @Annie, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE GWEN! So, yes, Gwen! But Jack runs a very close second as does Rhys! Love him too!

And gotta give kudos to newcomer "Lois Habiba" from Children of Earth. She's fab! Hope she ends up staying around in Season 4! (Which looks to be confirmed, finally!)

Also a BIG TIME sci-fi buff here! Top 5 heroes go: Ripley, Scully, Samantha Carter, Buffy (although I love Cordy more!), and GWEN! (So, yeah, not much of a closet feminist, huh? Girl Power, baby!)

Guess where the 426 part comes from? LOL. Aliens, hands down, the BEST MOVIE EVER.

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Gwen,You're my kind of girl :D x-files, Stargate and aliens, love them all and H.R. Giger and his art. Without him no alien that BTW is the best alien ever. I kind of like weird stuff ;)

  51. maybe some of you find that funny, but it doesn't even make sense for me i must admit..no judgement..:)

thanks for all tires kate ..i love you all,,i love that blog..

  52. Jimmy Fallon is HILARIOUS and the bothered segments are witty. He's playing off the Edward Cullen character and how tortured' the character was in Twilight. All in good fun... I like them :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. LOL I love that skit with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. Oh and remember you can link David to Rob as well as Catherine. Even though they had no scenes together David played Barty Crouch jr in Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire alongside Rob when he played Cedric Diggory.
I love that game I think I could link Rob to anyone lol.

  55. no hes' just being irreverent...as in he knows Robs english isn't spoken in this way he is just going with an accent most americans believe is the true Brit accent...when in actuality we know, there are as many accents in great britain as there are here in america. You know he problly loves to pronounce his enlish in this way...its' more entertaining for entertainment purposes. Bobby Long! Now this is Bobby's accent alright I find it so sexy of Bobby to make my dreams come true in this way and speak the word as 'bovered' and 'wiff it' for nothin' to be dun wiff it'. I love Bobby speak, is good, realll good. and no Robert doesn't bitch ...much. but he does give the impression of being OCD! to those of us who know, he isn't really...just getting it right! And I know from my own Son being OCD Robert doesn't appear to be to me but I haven't spent time with him to know. DAMN IT! soo...it's alright Izzy take a deep breff and let it out! Jimmy's not tryin' to hurt our Robert...no! ON the contrary, he's actually playing up that which is not so obvious of Robert...Rob's accent is becoming so americanized as to be almost nonexistant...The actress who played his Mom in How To Be was almost bereft of an accent and she was a Brit! True and born there. and see I can see Rob going all over the holiday that tries one's patience over candy and flowers! You know? I know Edward problly wouldn't say anything about Valentines day but he combined Rob/edward together to make it irreverent. and from the interview we just read in Details with Rob? yeh, I think Rob would think this irreverent as well and get a little chuckle out of it! he's a smart guy and wouldn't be offended I don't think?! We'll see come march 1st! I love it think Jimmy is brave and fun as well as funny...c'mon now! Step lively! Let's really have some fun? eh? :)

  56. @everybody didn't really stop to think this thru...buuuut...being british? it encompasses Scotland as well and england lads and lasses! Good god man! and ladies! an epifany! If you're english you're from England of course but if you're a Scott you're still British, just from a different geographic location on the isle of great britain...Good God almighty all this time and it was sitting right there! I mean I knew the english were british but I equated being british with the english only! God help me, I'm daft! and I had to stop the vid to blog and it was sooo thought provoking as well as fawking funny!

    ReplyDelete
  57. okay k k k k (joe pesci)...look ere! I loved the way she tricked him into saying he was Dr. Who...am laughing so hard can't see my screen for the tears ...can't catch my breff LOL! @izzy sorrreeee...just had to one more time! so was she sayin' bovered? LOL@izzy and snort/gigglin' yeah!

  58. @annie Good God man! LOL! then you would know that amanda tapping, is on a new show she is, ... wait for it...English! yeah. she plays a woman who is over 350 yrs old b/c she had vampire blood injected experimentally into her body during the time before jack the ripper, incidentally he is her ex on this show...yeah! baby! yeah, she also ....wait for it...Exec. Produces the show and she had Michael Shanks on not long ago, I loved Stargate and Alien? oh my god! I have watched 2 every year year after year until I realized Robert was born the year it came out! I was doin' hair in Helena montana living near my dad...and I'll be darned if Robert didn't make his way into the world the year Sigourney/ripley was talked into going back to LV-426 to rescue some colonists. go figure! that was usually the movie I watched every year before christmas as I wrapped presents or maybe the week before and also Ghostbusters to get warmed up for the holidays! yeah I know I'm weird but then I'm a Rob fan and I'll bet he'd say that's kewl...or yeh, oleright. Love the English and the British now that I know how to use it in the right context! ahhhaa! love this site is more fun than my space page! course no one ever goes there...yeh, and the artwork of HR giger? indescribable...truly a visionary. just had to blog a bi-ht.
