Looks like we have a date confirmation, set your DVR's...
Gossip Cop can confirm that Robert Pattinson will appear on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on March 1 – the same day that Fallon celebrates his first year anniversary as host of “Late Night.”
Following his appearance, Pattinson will then head to the premiere of Remember Me, his film with Emilie de Ravin.

Ahhhhhhhh! That's my picture! It's one of my favorites. My DVR is on standby...March can't get here soon enough!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this! Although this appearence has nothing to do with Twilight or Edward.. I can't help but wonder about Jimmys videos on Edward, and if they'll come up!
ReplyDeleteDVR is all set up for this & the view!
wow, love how that photo looks!
ReplyDeletejimmy fallon is a funny guy but his "Bothered" take on Rob Pattinson was kind of annoying. I wonder if he will reprise that character for Rob's interview...
Oh my, how I love that picture. Jaw porn AND dirty hair porn. Can it get any better?
ReplyDeleteThat's cool. I think Fallon is really funny. During NM promotion I watched the show with Kristen and Taylor and I really liked them. I hope he does a great show with Rob too.
ReplyDeleteOh, and isn't that on Jimmy's show that at the end of it a guest must do some something funny? Like Taylor riding this tiny motorcycle or Kristen throwing a football? I so wonder what will Jimmy come up with for Rob!!! That's exciting!!! Can't wait for March!!! It's gonna be a 'Rob flood' for us:D
I love Jimmy Fallon! www.robert is bothered.com is hilarious!!!
ReplyDeleteCan´t wait for march!!!
I really can't wait! But please, no more beard! :( I'm DYING to have some live jaw porn action that night!! Although, the beard is kinda cute!
ReplyDeleteokayyyyy couple of things.
ReplyDelete1. This pic is the one I want tattooed on my body somewhere havent' found the artist yet but this picture is of the god Rob. There was something about him on this shoot....hmmmmm...can't quite place what it was but, its there something about his demeanor when he did this like he's sayin', 'Well, here I go! It's either going to break me or make me.' or maybe he was just lucky in tryin' out clothes and poses that shoot but dear god in heaven this is the one. anyone got any ideas as to where I should have this done...am researching artists who do portraits well and where you get someone's portrait done on your body...as in best spot for skin depth and the overall image not distoring with time and age.
2. whennnnnn? I love Jimmy Fallon! I don't have cable/satellite soooooo I guess I will have to wait to get it from YT?
3. My tummies got butterflies right now imagining his next publicity tour for the Remember Me movie and then Bel Ami and then after that I should be good and proper gone for Breaking Dawn if they've decided to finally do it or not and what dya wanna bet Rob may not doit? they are taking their sweet time getting the thing set up and he has said in the past that he 'doesn't know' whether or not he will be doing it or not! ! He is Edward! although he sure doesn't look 17 anymore! and that will be interesting to see how they change that little detail. maybe there will be lee way with him being a vamp and all but ....I'm just sayin'.
one more note on this picture of him. I call this his 'Adonis Is Waiting' picture...in view of his fame and his next movie waiting to be made. He literally looks like the greek statue came to life and is walking around tinsel town now looking for work in the movies! LOL!

Holy Crap, Why oh Why can't I get Jimmy Fallon here in Australia??? Please tape and post... I have just discovered this most amazingly, jaw dropping, god damn beautiful man. My whole day revolves how many times I can sneak a peek at a picture of him while at work without getting caught... Worth getting fired for.
ReplyDeleteI love Jimmy Fallon!!! Those "Rob is Bothered" skits he did were freaking hysterical!!!
ReplyDeleteThe DVR has been set!
Awwww... he looks sooo wild (and hopeless) in this pic.
ReplyDeleteHum...
°shyly° Hi, Beloved, I miss you! Com'out again, show me your sweet face. I need to see that look in your eyes...
Never watched Jummy Fallon show, but hoping it'll be a good one :). Any interview is very welcome, as long as someone gets it on youtube asap!
ReplyDeleteI watched the "bothered" clips, but I just didn't get it at all, I guess it's similar to the Catherine Tate sketches but I don't them funny either *shrugs*
I think it will go very well. Fallon is a pretty cool guy and I think he'll treat Rob with a comedians irrevrant respect! Should be funny.
ReplyDeleteRob, you're hot, babe. Can't wait to see a little more of you soon!!!!!! Dying to see more of you. Then..dead!
FILTM
Nice way to wake up :D Mars going to be a very good month.
ReplyDeletethis picture just ruined my day....god he is so heartbreakingly beautiful. Life just isn't fair.

Good morning,
ReplyDeleteMarch 2010 is going to be a spectacular month.
@Imjabara - I have never seen the photo you linked to where Rob is standing and it's all about his hair; chest, arm and his dirty, sex-hair and he looks so delicious. Thanks for that! Click, lick, save. :)
Sorry, my fault, I meant Butterfly. Too busy drooling to type the correct name.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this! It's gonna be hillarious!
ReplyDeleteFILTM!
@Butterfly,thanks for the pic. Hadn't see it either :)Can he be more beautiful. The eyelashes, sex hair and jaw kills me

ReplyDeleteEP update alert!
ReplyDeleteWWAAAAHHHHHH!! The phone lines are busy...can't get through for tickets!
ReplyDeleteNoooooooo! :(
Just got through--tickets for March 1 are already gone...:(
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! woo hoo! cant wait to see him! Drought ova *jumps on bed and does somersault-naked*
ReplyDeleteJust called to see if I could get tickets to this one...the lady said they JUST ran out...FML. :(
ReplyDeleteIt just feels wrong to see someone that sexy in the morning and not be able to do something about it.
ReplyDeletetried to get tix to the show this morning...couldn't get through and when i finally did after 40 minutes of trying - of course, no tix available...argh!!!
ReplyDeleteDo we know what theater the premier will play in and how to get tickets?
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say so thankful that February is a short month.
ReplyDeleteof course there are no more tickets! we all want to see the Pretty!!!!
ReplyDeleteeverytime he is in new york city (where i live) im busy, not in the country or state or something randomly comes up.. of course this time i wont be in the country yet again. he needs to stop playing cat and mouse with me lol
ReplyDeleteHmmm same day as Rob is on The View.
ReplyDeletethe movie Nine premiered at Ziegfeld Theater on W. 54th St. in NYC. so that is my guess for RM, too. any other guesses?
ReplyDeleteFILTM!
I just called the ticket line for March 1st and all tickets are already gone for the 1st and 2nd. So sad. I really would have flown to New York for a chance to see Rob. Last night they were still available but the ticket office was closed. Today they are taking ticket requests for March 3-8th.
ReplyDeleteStephsLegit you're not "the only person in the world who enjoys learning" ;) i'm like you...i study subjects that aren't of my major just to know more (i thought i was very rare till i read your profile!). and yesterday was my birthday: 21 years old right now, like you again!
ReplyDeleteThis picture is really cool!! Rob, the thinker. He is so beautiful. What does he thinking of?...
ReplyDeleteMARCH IS COMING = REMEMBER ME.
I tried too! So close, yet so far....
ReplyDeleteAngie - we will add this to the list of places to stand outside of and hope for a glimpse of The Pretty.
CL - Wear comfortable shoes!
ReplyDeleteI'm freaking out a little about this, but this is going to be an adventure!
Capitu, Crazy Vamp, Ana, brazilian girls and all the people who love Rob.
ReplyDeleteYou may send me an e-mail, when you want or need me any time:
expojc@gmail.com.
Capitu:
I don´t see your e-mail but you can send it for me if you want. Oh! I do not think Capitu cheated on Bentinho. I am not the kind of person who judges people ( I am not angry, it is a joke, ok? ) I am very open. Do you think Rob would like to read Dom Casmurro?
GAH. I can't wait. That's all I've got. THUD.
ReplyDeleteAngie-I just e-mailed you.
ReplyDeleteComfortable shoes, is right! We are going to be running away with Rob, to um, how'd you put it the other day, "protective custody." =)
Hi ladies, noticed CV not here much since we started talking about RM spoilers.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day. Checking out Pierce on Regis and Craig. Love Craig. He is so funny, better than any other late night talk show. Beats them all hands down. (he's never had Rob on BTW)
Last night was a repeat of Rozie Perez. It was hilarious. Not much of a Jimmy Fallon fan here. Didn't care for his "bothered" vid. Did watch TAylor on there with the minnie motorbike race. kinda funny, but not much. Have a great Rob day, but must get to work now. Rats...
Nothing wrong with Jimmy Fallon and the View, but I hope he will also be appearing on Leno or Letterman, Today Show or Good Morning America. Summit should be putting out the big bucks for Rob's newest movie. At last report that I read New Moon brought in almost $300 million at the box office. That doesn't count oversees or upcoming DVD distribution. The only movie even close to that is Blind Side with $228 million and an academy award nomination for Sandra Bullock. Then, of course there is the special effects king Avatar. My point is he has earned them a lot of money. They need to invest in him.
ReplyDelete@Sharon - Angie-K and I are going to be in NY, so if you want to fly out and respectfully follow Rob around with us, let us know, we'd love to have you join us.
ReplyDeleteSharon...
ReplyDeleteI don't think he'll be doing any promotion in Los Angeles (Leno, Ellen, etc.) because he won't have the time to travel across the country (he's leaving the Bel Ami set to do this remember). I think this is strictly a 2 day affair in NY only. And he just did Letterman in November which is why I thought it would be Fallon this time. Same thing with the View. In November he did Regis&Kelly, so this time it's the other NY daytime show. Because there it will only be about 3 and 1/2 months between these two films (NM & RM), he won't be doing the shows he just did. They like to stagger them and that way, maybe reach more of an audience. I think he may repeat on Today and GMA though. Wouldn't bet my house on it, but maybe.
And someone asked where they might hold this premiere? My guess would be the Ziegfeld. That's where they hold alot of NY premieres, especially for films that think might be big. And there's alot of anticipation and alot of Hollywood eyes on this one to see if he can 'open' a film on his own steam (meaning, nothing to do with Twilight).
As for Craig Ferguson...
THAT'S the one I'm waiting for. I adore that man, but if there's one thing he hates, it's a bandwagon and he thinks that this latest vampire craze is just that...a bandwagon (and he is not wrong. today you can't spit in any direction and not hit a reference to a vampire). He wants his vampires mean and blood crazed and everytime he goes off on 'vampires with feelings' or 'what the hell kind of vampire keeps a diary', I fall off the goddamn couch laughing. It's so funny. But one of these days he's gonna get Rob in that chair and he'll be thoroughly charmed by him. I just know it.
P.S. Don't hate the Craig. He has admitted that he hasn't seen any of these 'new' vampires and that he should probably not say anything about them. But he does.
And it's a goddamn riot.
Nancy-it's great to see another Craig Furgeson fan-I just love him! "It's a great day for America, everybody!" :)
ReplyDeleteRPG, EP update? GAH! *off to read*
Nik! Craig Furgeson is AWESOME! I don't even care if he does poke fun at Rob, he's the funniest guy I know of. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteRPL,
ReplyDeleteHoly shit on the EP update...just wait....
Nik,
ReplyDeleteITA..RM promo will be quick...he needs to get Bel ami wrapped as he's got Eclipse coming up in June, possibly shooting WFE, somewhere in there maybe UC...and hopefully by fall/winter Breaking Dawn...
Busy, busy year for our guy....
Craig pokes fun at everyone, including himself. Sometimes he's a little harsh, but mostly very funny. His interview with Ewan McGregor was one of the best ever. Luv the scots riffing on each other!
ReplyDeleteJimmy F. is all over the map. Never know. I hope he won't do a 'stunt' with Rob - unless they sing together. Jimmy is best when jammin.
@Imjabara: I think of this as Rob's "Cock of the Walk" face... in the very best way. As in: I'm going to make the world my oyster, but do it my way!
ReplyDeleteRob on Craig Ferguson would be a wet dream come true. Two sexy, witty off-key Brits = guffaws galore.
Oh you guys...
ReplyDeleteI gotta admit to something...
I sometimes cheat on Rob with Craig. There I've said it. I admit it. LOL! Well. He's just so damn sexy and more importantly, funny as hell and my mama always said about me...'it won't be the gorgeous, sexy guy that'll get you into trouble, it'll be the one who can make you laugh.' Mama was right. Which is why I suppose I'm gone on these two...gorgeous, sexy and FUNNY AS HELL! But cheater though I may be, at the end of the day...I always come wandering back home to Rob.
And thank you Kat for that photo. I always think of that as the 'Jesus' shot. Look at him. He could play Jesus. Actually...hmmm...thinking...
thinking...
He could play both Jesus and Satan...in the same film. Stay with me. Jesus and Satan were actually twins, the firstborn of God the father. Only one (like potato salad left too long in the fridge), went bad. Good twin. Bad twin.
Shit. I think I just came up with an idea for a screenplay. Think Rob would go for it? Well hell. He's said he wants to play Job. Why settle for Job when you could play both the 'Prince of Peace' AND the 'Prince of Darkness'...at the same time?
I swear to God he could do it.
Nik,
ReplyDeleteLMFAO!
Craig's interview with Sandra Bullock for Proposal is a total riot. Had everyone here holding their sides. laughing and crying. They just worked off of each other. You will love it. Love to see them work together on something.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3azN-r9r2E
Enjoy
@nik, love it and Craig too.
ReplyDeleteSorry, must leave. Will return this eveneing. on EST here.
ReplyDeleteRPG...
ReplyDeleteI could even make it a black comedy like Dogma. I swear to God, I do believe that Rob could do this...and be believeable in both roles.
I've always thought he has the etheral beauty of an imagined Jesus, yet...he's the devil incarnate because of what he does to women.
BTW...are we still discussing RM on your blog? I haven't checked but I still had some more to say and I wanted to tell you about that alternate ending I came up with AND does EP stand for Emancipation Proclamation?
I want to start another fic. I've caught up with MOTU and I'm losing interest in UofEM and I've finished The Sub and The Dom and I'm reading The Training, but it's not grabbing so much. I'd love to read that Office that everyone went on about it, but it's been pulled. Any other recommendations?
Like this Wide Awake? That one good?
RPG, just got done reading it-holy shit!!
ReplyDeleteCraig's not Rob, but he is sexy as hell. *ducking rotten tomatoes* ;)
hey, anyone can double check the schedule of Bel Ami?
ReplyDeleteand after that Rob will film unbound captives?
If Bel Ami wrap end april,
unbound captives will be fimling during may to jul?
and what about BD??? when they will film it??? F**CK!
oh, I just cannot think about it anymore but I would like to know more details about it.
Other doubt , Bel Ami schedule to 2011 and unbound to 2010?

ReplyDeleteGod only knows about film schedules in Hollywood as they can change at a moment's notice. From what I can figure out...
He's shooting Bel Ami until early/mid April.
Water For Elephants...Has a proposed June start date but that's real iffy. As far as I know, nobody's actually been signed. I think it's in the negotiating stage right now. My guess would be that this one won't roll this summer but I really hope it does as this is the role I want for Rob, even more than Unbound Captives.
Unbound Captives...again, a possible June start date. And yeah, he could get it done BUT he's got some prep time ahead of him for this one. He's got to learn enough Camanche and ride a horse bareback to make it look believeable. And riding bareback is damn near impossible (especially for someone who doesn't have much experience riding horses to begin with. and maybe he does. I don't know) not to mention dangerous which why we now use saddles. The thing about bareback is...you've got to get yourself up on that horse and stay on that horse with your own strength. You've got nothing to help you but the strength in your legs. And if he finishes Bel Ami in early April and were to start Unbound Captives in June, that would only give him a couple of months to learn enough of another language and to ride that horse and just my opinion, two months is not enough. And the other issue is...
Hugh Jackman is SIGNED to do another film in June. So...I don't know how the two of them can make this film TOGETHER this year as Rob will most likely be in Vancouver come fall to film BD when Hugh will be free after filming that other film this summer. If Madeline Stowe wants both Rob and Hugh, she's gonna have to wait and film it early 2011
when Rob finishes BD. With their schedules, I don't see how these two men can make this film TOGETHER this year.
This is what I'd like to see...
Finish Bel Ami in April
Start Water For Elephants in June
Start Breaking Dawn in September
Start Unbound Captive no later than February 2011
And when he's done with all of those, I'd like him to check into the hospital for two weeks and SLEEP!!!
Seriously, if he were to do all of these films, that would be SEVEN films he would have made in about 2
years time and it would most definitely be time for a break. A good, long break of maybe a year of so.
Just my opinion.
Thanks for all the recs guys.
ReplyDeleteAnd RPG...
I'll wander over to the blog in just a bit.
Hugh starts filming February in China so unless he's off Captives, I don't see the window before "Steel." Can they do this scale movie in less htan two months pphotography? Doesn't seem likely.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of all you who can see Rob live. Say hello from me ;)Waiting for March.
ReplyDeleteI really wish this was all happening in February, March is too far away!
ReplyDeletedra...
ReplyDeleteThe other way this could work is...
They start Unbound Captives in June (which would cost Hugh Jackman the role and that would be a shame. He'd be great as Tom Dearborn) AND then do Water For Elephants in early 2011.
That actually makes a bit more sense as I would imagine with all of the critters and alot of the story essentially taking place on a moving train, there would be considerable pre-production on this one. And Rob would have to spend some time with those critters, especially the elephant (Rosie) and the chimp (Bobo) in order for them to be comfortable with him and he with them. He couldn't just walk onto a set and start working closely with animals that do not know him. If he finishes Bel Ami in April and were to start WFE in June, that would give him enough bonding time with the critters.
And if he were to start UC after BD, then he'll just have to be studying his Camanche and riding his horse during his down time while filming BD. He just couldn't wrap BD by the end of this year and then go right into UC without prep time to acquire these skills.
But I do believe that BD is pretty firm for the fall. They can't put it off much longer than that because Rob cannot play 17 anymore. He's stretching it now. He's going to be 24 in three months. If they put this off for even a year, he'd be almost 25 and he's maturing by the second.
Also...
I believe Summit wants a Twilight film out in consecutive years...
2008--Twilight
2009--New Moon
2010--Eclipse
2011--Breaking Dawn
If they do it in the proposed two films, they'll probably want the first part in the summer of 2011 and the second part in the fall. Possibly November and that would be the complete saga done in just three years time...Nov. 2008 to Nov. 2011.
But I don't know anything. These are just guesses.
Same here...............FML..........tried to get Fallon tix and missed by like 10-15 fucking minutes!!!!!Im SO depressed cos I'm gonna be in NYC that day! FMFL.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you guys on the East coast can go stand outside and get a glipmse, or breath the same air....
ReplyDeleteWay more than I have here in bum-fuck Oregon!
Okay. I think I mixed that up there. Well. Who the hell can keep it all straight?
ReplyDeleteIf they do WFE in June, he would have enough time to bond with the critters, but I don't think a June start date would give them enough time for pre-production as this one would be a pretty big...uh...well...production.
If he does UC in June, this one has been in pre-production for over a year and so yeah, they could be ready to go by June. But would two months be enough time for Rob to learn to ride and speak Camanche? I don't think so.
So inconclusion...
Who the flying fuck knows?
Not me.
Just 'cause you can't get into one of the shows, that don't mean you can't see Rob. Go wait outside the studio. He's gotta go in. He's gotta come out. And maybe you could catch him over at the View too. And then high tail it to wherever the premiere is gonna be and catch him there too. Wow! You could see him so much those couple of days, that you could actually get sick of him (what am I? nuts?). And if he were to recognize you from place to place, I got the perfect response...
ReplyDeleteLook him right in the eye and tell him...'will you stop following me? You keep it up and I'm gonna go get a cop.' Oh c'mon. He'd giggle.
And just so you know..this sort of thing I got no problem with. These are announced public appearance and I say, let the public show up in droves (but ixnay on da screaming. moan if you have to, but think of his ears and his fears)
But going to movie sets? No siree. We haven't been invited. And it's very rude to show up somewhere 'exclusive' when you haven't been invited. And a movie set (even in public) is an extremely 'exclusive' place.
But people are gonna do what they're gonna do. But just so you know...it's not appreciated.
I thing Rob should just come to my house and relax while you all figure this out for him!! Its quite here I could keep him company! Alone. hehehe. Take your time we won't be in any hurry.
ReplyDeleteThat going to 'get a cop' thing got me to thinking (I know. I know. a very scary thing)...
ReplyDeleteAttention lostinphilly! This one's goin' out to you darlin'...
Picture it, Sicily 1920. No wait. Wrong 'picture it.' New York early March 2010...
lostinphilly waits patiently outside the Jimmy Fallon show waiting for Rob. Rob arrives. They catch each other's eye. Smiles ensue.
One hour later...
Rob exits. More eye contact. More smiles. Rob leaves. lostinphilly hops into her own waiting cab and races him over to The View. She beats him by a nanosecond. He sees her and this time she gets a great big grin ('cause this is a boy who likes it when you put a little elbow grease into it). He enters the studio. She waits. He exits. She's still there. Another big grin from Rob, but no time to chat as this is a very busy boy today.
Later that afternoon...
lostinphilly stands patiently at the barricade outside the Ziegfeld theatre once again waiting for...wait for it...for Rob. He arrives. He starts down the red carpet (that is if the gang from Robstock 2010 hasn't abducted him first as he steps foot out of the limo). He's approaching lostinphilly. Spots her but this time with a raised eyebrow, to which she takes issue and responds with...
'will you stop following me? you keep it up and I'm gonna go get a cop.'
Rob giggles. At least it sounds like a giggle. Could be a tiny, strangled cry for help. With eyebrow still raised he makes a mad dash for the theatre entrance because...well...it's Rob. And who the hell knows what is twirling in that little brain of his.
Two hours later...
Rob exits theatre to find...wait for it...again...lostinphilly standing there only now she's got one of New York City's finest with her.
lostinphilly...'officer! arrest that man. he's been following me all over New York today and scaring the holy beejesus out of me.'
Officer looks Rob over and mutters...'yeah, looks like a follower. probably a pincher too.' And proceeds to slap the cups on a very confused Rob who thinks he might have just wet his pants. Or crapped them. With Rob, you just never know.
lostinphilly...'that's right officer. toss him in the slammer. oh and officer, could you arrest me too? 'cause I'd like a word or two IN PRIVATE with this little pervert. that's right officer, a private slammer.'
Rob (who's trying not to cry) starts to sputter...'I've got a plane to catch.'
lostinphilly...'what time?'
Rob...'7 am, tomorrow morning.'
lostinphilly (who grabs him by the lapels, pulls him to her and whispers seductively in his ear)...'baby, you don't got to worry 'bout no damn plane, 'cause with the ride were about to go on, I promise you, you'll wake up in London.'
Rob with the big happy grin back on his face (make that a big happy shit eatin' grin) happily complies and climbs into the back seat of the cop car. Followed by lostinphilly who's finally got him where she wants him. With his hands cuffed behind his back...no less.
lostinphilly...'oh officer? can we keep the handcuffs?'
Rob...'it's okay baby. I gotta 'nother set in my pocket. never leave home without 'em'
lostinphilly...'thank you god. thank you god. thank you god.
Rob...'well I appreciate that. but the name's Rob.'
The End.
Okay. I gotta go do something productive. Toliets need cleaning. Ah jeez...
@lostinPhilly - Angie-K and I will be in NY as well. We are on Opeation Robstock duty. Wanna join us???
ReplyDeletee-mail me at cullenlover07@gmail.com
Re preparing for Unbound Captives-- with all the technology there is now, does Rob really have to ride a horse at all, let alone bareback? He does not have the muscle tone and it will be really dangerous for him.
ReplyDeleteSolas: don't worry - he has enough muscle. It's about gripping with the knees. Same kind of tone you get in that area from skiing. Yeah, he'd have to do a little riding, even if he doesn't do the galloping.:)
ReplyDeleteAP--it isn't the muscle; it is the tone. From the way he walks and moves, he appears to have poor muscle TONE, something that ought to have been addressed with OT. The way he holds his body and moves, especially his legs, with the way they turn in, is not conducive to safe riding, let alone bareback. Can't they use technology so that he can avoid being on a horse???
ReplyDeleteYes Solas...
ReplyDeleteHe has to do it and as an actor, he'd want to do it. That's another reason why actors act, so they can learn new things and do things they might not otherwise learn or do in their own lives. They are adventurous people.
That scene where's Phin is flying around the cabin on the horse, screaming like a banchee? That scene is pivotal(sp?)and why would he use a saddle? Phin didn't grow up on a saddle.
Although I suppose they could glue his little ass to the horse. That would sure as hell keep him on it. Getting him off of it though would be another story. LOL!
Another reason he needs horse time? Well. He's a boy. Need I say more? Okay. I will.
While we may only see a couple of minutes of screen time of him on that horse, those scenes could take him days to film. Meaning, days of riding a horse...all day long. If he isn't somewhat used to it, that boy is gonna have a case of bruised balls that could one day impair his ability to father children. Just kidding. But...he's got to practice. Horse riding looks easy. But it ain't.
I saw this picture of Rob someplace and they had a cockatiel next to him with the the same type of head piece as Rob's hair........it was hilarious at how much they matched.
ReplyDeleteActors are loath to use CGI in their performances unless it's absolutely necessary. They feel that it takes away from the authenticity of their performance.
ReplyDeleteCould they use a stunt double? Absolutely. And then just use Rob for the close ups. But he won't like that either.
Have you seen Dances With Wolves or Australia? Both Kevin Costner and Hugh Jackman did their own riding and it added to the authenticity of their performances. In Costner's case...remember that amazing scene with the buffalos? Costner did it all and it was dangerous. Jackman was nearly caught in a horse stampede.
If Rob's the actor I think he is, he's going to want to do as much of this as he possibly can. Guys who use the stunt double too much are thought of as pussys on the set. It's a guy thing.
And don't worry Solas. They're not gonna let him get hurt. That would bring production to a halt on a multi million dollar film.
ReplyDeleteIf they think he can't do it, they'll use a stunt double and he'll just have to live with it.
And take a ribbing from the guys on the set. And he will. Horse wrangling dudes on movie sets show no mercy. 'Man up' they say.

ReplyDeleteThis has nothing to do with himself as an actor, or WANTING to do it, or making it look authentic. It has to do with his body.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I have to do in my work (one of my lines of work) is observe and test children, usually in preschool, screen them for challenges to learning or functioning in a classroom. Aside from IQ testing and language processing, I observe for coordination, muscle tone, sitting ability, focusing ability, etc. It is very obvous to my eyes that Rob has had lifelong issues exacerbated by long limbs that took him a while to 'grow into.'
Just learning and practicing to ride is NOT enough, and can be terribly dangerous for a child or adult with muscle tone and coordination issues. As I've said so many times before, I don't know Rob personally, but I do observe and am very very observant, and he presents as a person with low muscle tone and coordination issues, requiring OT and PT. Lessons are just not enough.
Depending on time framework, if he has time now, whilst filming BelAmi, if he would start intensive OT and PT NOW, it is possible his body would be in a better place to tone and train for riding skills. It would benefit him lifelong, too.
ReplyDeleteWell like I said Solas, if they decide that he is not physically up to the role, they'll either replace him or they'll work around it; a stunt double for most of it and Rob for the close ups. I mean, I think he's co-ordinated enough to sit on a horse.
ReplyDeleteYou're the expert here, not me, but I remember that bike riding scene in Little Ashes. I don't know, I thought he looked quite graceful and sure of himself there. And I realize that riding a bike is a lot less complicated and dangerous that riding a horse bareback.
But I promise you, they won't let him get hurt. I mean, accidents happen, but they do everything possible on those sets to keep them from happnening. Too much money on the line if he gets hurt mid production and they have to wait for him to heal or replace him and start over.
@Solas: If Rob skied when younger, he can learn to sit a horse, if he hasn't done so already. Turned in legs are more of an advantage than not. Yeah, he'll probably fall off, but that's part of becoming a horseman/woman. I don't think any physical issues will be of more concern than the work he did on the wire, in water, or out of trees. If they decide to use 'aids' they can use CGI to get rid of them, but I don't think it would be necessary.
ReplyDeleteRob is winning on Jimmy's poll he is taking . I hope he'll be respectful of him - I'm sure he will. Yeah, I wonder what he'll have him do - the football throw in the strapless short dress and spike heels was pretty cool for Kristen.
ReplyDeleteOne last thing Solas and then I'll let this go...
ReplyDeleteIf Rob is really physically limited, then he's gonna have a very limited film career. Take Jacob in WFE...(if he does it) he's gotta hop a friggin' moving train. Yes, I'm sure a stunt double will be involved, but at some point, Rob has got to physically struggle to pull himself up onto something. A fake moving set? Even if it's just the close up. His character also gets into one hell of a fight with another character.
His role is quite physical in the Twilight films; wire work, hauling him up trees and through the air (with Kristen on his back), running, in the water, fighting, having the holy hell beat out of him. And yes, there was a stunt double involved, but Rob had to do some of it (can't wait to see Edward's fight with Victoria when he finally takes that bitch out).
We've seen from the clips of RM a serious looking street fight and him furiously riding that bike down a busy NY street. He may be a little awkward and maybe one leg is a bit longer than the other and maybe he grew too fast, I don't know. But I don't see a physically impaired man. Again, I'm not an expert. And something else I just thought of...
I remember that clip I saw of him as Edward in that gazebo at the prom. Rob fell over and he did a completely 'graceful' somersault and landed back on his feet. Another thing...
He has to have physicals before he begins EVERY film in order to be insured. If they thought he was physically impaired to the point that he could injure himself, they wouldn't insure him. And he wouldn't be making movies.
I tend to be a worry wart too and I can drive people in my life nuts with my worrying. But I'm not worried about Rob here. Maybe because I know just a little bit of the nuts and bolts of moving making. I promise you, if he couldn't do it...he wouldn't be. They wouldn't let him.
fem...
ReplyDeleteI think Jimmy is going to be sooooo
thrilled to have Rob on his show that yeah, he'll have some fun with him, but he's not going to visciously humiliate him. Hell. He wants him to come back one day. He knows that Pattinson is going to help spike those ratings.
And something to remember...that mocking of Rob with the 'bothered' thing? It was really a compliment to Rob as imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I thought he was great with Kristen and Taylor and he will be the same with Rob.
Robert Pattinson is a big fucking movie star and you don't invite a big fucking movie star to your show in order to insult them. Unless you're Dave (and he does it all in fun unless that big fucking movie star is an asshole. then Dave will go for their throats showing them no mercy. Dave don't like it when big fucking movie stars take themselves too seriously)
Anyway...Jimmy will be fine with Rob.
first it has been so enthralling reading your posts ladies @solas and @nikola6...we are some really intelligent fans. And rightly so as we are Robs fans. I think the overall feeling here is don't let him get hurt while filming these scenes horseback riding or what have you...I do understand Solas' point though as I am trained as a medical coder and had an extensive amount of a & p in coding school to know about the muscle tone thing...and I think Rob himself has stated about his 'limp', 'one leg being longer than the other'. It seems that at times he is really worried about the limp...I mean he is perfectly normal. We say. but to the trained eyes of a medical professional or as Solas says, ' From the way he walks and moves, he appears to have poor muscle TONE, something that ought to have been addressed with OT. The way he holds his body and moves, especially his legs, with the way they turn in, *femoral anteversion maybe?* is not conducive to safe riding, let alone bareback.' absolutely! Like Solas says, his legs do lack tone...meaning he's model thin to look good because of his height buuuuuut...when a man is as tall as Rob and is that thin...there is no strength in his legs because then the muscle would bulge out and make his legs look unmodel like in his designer marc jacobs? i.e. remember the groin pull when he tried to lift Kristen? difficult lift after all, *lift with your legs and not your back* and he did but when he did he pulled his groin and had to have a PT come in a give his ole beautiful Bum a massage to help the pull. I am not saying our sweetheart is a weakling or a nancy boy, oh no! He has spent the larger part of his life being beautiful and not a muscle builder. the muscles needed for the horse back riding are lacking as Solas has quite professionally stated. It takes everything a person has in their legs to stay on and it gets old real quick. as in your leg muscles hurt so much you want to cry after the first day! *I used to ride every summer as a girl on my grandparents ranch in montana.* so Rob if you read this, we love you very, very much Darling and want you to be in one beautiful piece after filming Unbound Captives! :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to try to let this go because I don't want to get into details of technical stuff here, and I don't know if I have enough English to describe why this is different from wirework, from skiing, from bicycling, etc. The musculature and gross skill coordination that is required to hold one's body a certain way that is required for bareback riding is far more complicated and demanding than that of individual muscles or even some muscle groups coordinating. Thank you, Imjabara, for understanding and explaining further.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't that Rob is physically impaired to the point he cannot be insured or act, but everything I have seen of himself points to the fact that he does have issues, that I am sure any good exam would reveal, and he/his team will hopefully deal with this accordingly.
As I said above, if he can get extensive and intensive OT and PT, it will be extremely helpful for now and for always, may he live long and well.
I do worry a lot; my kids say I am a worry wart. But I have been spot on when noticing and/or assessing these type of things, and they know it. ANd I am definitely worried about the idea of Rob learning to/practicing riding without benefit of OT and PT.
Which goes to my opinion that if he's going to take on this role, then he needs to train on that horse, and not just for a month or two. And if they're going to film it in June, he doesn't have enough time to train. Unless he has been all along, sneaking off to the track to ride. It's possible that he's been doing it all along while going undetected because why would the papps look for him at a horse track?
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I've got no answers and I'm getting a headache from thinking about it. Actually, I got a headache 'cause I think I've got the stomach flu.
Either that...or the little bastard really has knocked me up.
@Nik: lol at the moving train set, and just adding I think they would use several horses, depending on requirements for the particular scene.
ReplyDeleteI dunno: I rode bareback as a kid and if Rob can't match me as an eight year old then I guess he really is a wuss. Got that Rob? ;)
No--he needs to have OT and PT BEFORE he trains on any horse.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better.
Headaches aren't usually a sign of pregnancy, although I must admit I am not experienced in pregnancy-via-'The Look' method.
Now if you start vomiting, and start having a rounded belly, well, contact Summit==they might give you a nice offer to use your offspring for BD.
AP--were you 6'2, gangly, with possibly congenitally turned legs, probably uneven legs, prone to clumsiness and gross motor skill coordination challenges?
ReplyDeletealso one more thing about this and then I'll shut up...think GAIT. Okay. He has a certain form to him when he walks. Okay now if he had been the type of guy liked to work out and built those leg muscles, the thigh muscles as say a gladiator would, (think Geri Butler, or Channing Tatum), those muscles make the guys have an entirely different gait. There's a different kind of rythym or cadence to their walk. I love them all so much I find it alllll good. It's all good but Robert being the man of intellect we all know him to be, must have weighed these options along time ago and mix his choices with genetic coding and voila! Beauty, sveltness and a models gait, not a gladiators or riders gait. and for the record Nikola6...I am a medical biller and you're right also in that the insurance company would not approve his stunts per se, if they had anywhere in his medical record any dx (diagnosis), that would interfere or negate the stunt in the first place. Anything that would halt production, I'm sure would be considered at great length and ultimately they would do what you suggested Nikola6. And they require a physical before each movie really? hmmmmm....well then if femoral anteversion exists on his medical record they must not find it something that would interfere with the required stuntwork for this particular movie. Maybe. I don't know but it sounds like Unbound Captives keeps getting pushed to the back of his schedule and he keeps adding more movies before he shoots that one...God I hope he can do the horseback riding would love to see beardy scruffy Rob riding wild on a bareback horse! Picture it! Discuss that aspect of his character. Rob has so many different interests he is just so multifaceted! Yeah, Nik I can imagine all the rough riders on set would pull him through a wringer backwards if he got onset and couldn't do all the stunts required in the script. My parents worked for a very wealthy cattleman in the mountains of montana and they said the guys that went out on these drives were just like...so tough and so focused about getting the job done they wouldn't stop for nothing. even a broken bone. They are tough. Rob would really have to pull the ole charm out of the hat for these kinds of guys. having said that as long as he was his naturally genuine self and didn't bullshit them too much, or at all except when cameras rolled, I think they would end up being in his spell just like everyone else. maybe not I don't know this lot he's getting ready to work with . just sayin' from my parents experience workin with em.
ReplyDelete@loisada where can I get my sexy witty off key brit? *sniffs for lack of said brit* 'Rob on Craig Ferguson would be a wet dream come true. Two sexy, witty off-key Brits = guffaws galore.' and I can feel an eye roll coming on, but who is Craig Ferguson? sorry! *ducks head just in time to miss all the flying food*! and if I could stand it I would without even thinking anymore about it take one of you guys withme to hold my hand and a bottle of some really good scotch and get the entire shoot from this pic done in small portraits all over my body! I think I know where I would have this one done...right over my heart...uh hmmm...*clears throat* yeah! nestled right between the twins! GILTM!
ReplyDeleteBottom line...if this role is beyond his physical capabilities, then they won't insure him and he won't be able to do it. Or...if they still want him, then they'll have a stunt man do 90% of it and leave the close ups for Rob.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, those horse wranglers on movie sets are a tough bunch of sons of bitches. Hugh Jackman said during the filming of Australia, if you fell off your horse, you had to yell out...
'I gotta take a piss'
before you hit the ground or else you had to buy them all a beer.
Everytime you fell off the horse.
And thanks Solas. I really think I've got a touch of stomach flu. Ooky stomach. Throwing up (and the other end) Headache. Achey. Fever.
Man. I wish I were pregnant. At least I'd get a baby out of it.
Craig Ferguson is the current darling of late night television in America.
ReplyDeleteHe's Scottish. He's adorable. He's sexy. He's a drunk who don't drink no more. A druggie who don't do drugs no more. And he is quite possibly the funniest guy in America. Arguably.
I don't know anybody who isn't nuts about Craig Ferguson. Man/woman/old or young. Everyone loves Craig.
Personally, I think NBC should fire that Leno's sneaky, self serving ass and hire Craig as the host of the Tonight Show.
P.S.
ReplyDeleteCorrection...
He was born and raised in Scotland (and that accent slays me every time), but he is in fact, an American.
He became a citizen last year and practically bursts with pride over it.
Never saw Craig Ferguson. In general, I don't find these late night guys funny. In general, I don't find funny what most folks find funny. I will record him if/ when Rob is on, and then see if he is my kind of funny.
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say that Craig Ferguson is the best late night host since Johnny Carson. I think he's even better than Letterman. And I think Letterman is great (the true heir to Carson who got screwed out of the Tonight show by his 'pal' Jay Leno).
ReplyDeleteFerguson is incredibly intelligent, is totally aware that show business for the most part is made up of phoneys and douchbags and has the amazing gift of being able to make everything he says look as though he's just thought of it. That's he's rehearsed nothing. I think he is a comic genius.
(along with my other three faves; Carlin, Black and Izzard...all these guys are THINKERS)
uhhhhh cold and wet thing,
ReplyDeletethats my avatar girl!
lets take it out back and fight over it !!!!!!! :)
Solas: Ok, I'll answer the snarky rhetorical. No. Thought you wanted reassurance but obviously misread. Rob will do what he wants, regardless, but, of course, you are free to choose what you think/feel about it also. Since this issue is not important to me, I defer to others.
ReplyDeleteSorry ap-- did not mean to be snarky at all-- I am concerned that things get taken lightly or dismissed--not by your self, but by people in the industry, people who don't realize seriousness of certain situations and conditions, men who are still in the neanderthal stages of grunting 'me man, me tough, you wuss if you not tough,' and by men who think they are indestructible and do stupid self-destructive stuff-- wittingly or unwittingly.
ReplyDeleteI DO want reassurances--that Rob or anyone in such a situation will have any situation addressed appropriately and not dismissed.
Solas: oh, ok, fair enough. Well, I think Nikola covered the two most salient points that would protect Rob 1)insurance minders and 2)valued player. Neither the film company nor the insurance company would want one of the stars to be hurt during filming. Costs them money and time. If you've seen the extras on HPGOF you will note how the directors, even second unit, asked and checked with the actors if they were okay during the stunt work, or how Chris W got in the water himself to reassure Kristen she could do the water stunt in NM, and then realised it was tougher than Rob had made it look, so nixed the idea.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, whatever grunting occurs on set, those aspects come first. Also, stunt doubles want to work too. The only 'unknown' is Rob himself. I do believe he can handle what he will be 'allowed' to do, whatever his issues. :)
@Nikola: Um...I thought you were joking about the train set, but I just remembered they probably will have to have one - for the scene on the roof of the train. Forgot about that...won't go there right now, though. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks AP.
ReplyDeleteI know what Nik meant about that train jumping scene when he was going with the knife in his mouth!
Again, I HAVE been called a worrywart, but I also have been thanked so many times by parents and teachers for observing and noting a specific problem and mapping out plans for improvement (arranging OT and PT, teaching teachers to integrate certain mechanisms into the school day, etc), when people didn't realize what was going on (just calling a kid clumsy or awkward or wobbly,or floppy or- 'flippy'?)
I fear it is like what happens with some of these football players in HS and college-- a good cardologist or neurologist might see something that parents, coaches, and even regular doctors don't catch, symptoms that could mean terribly serious problems if the student plays--and often, these symptoms are NOT noticed because the right people are not always the ones looking objectively.
@solas _ '(just calling a kid clumsy or awkward or wobbly,or floppy or- 'flippy'?) As in ms. stewart? And Rob was sitting right there just watching her and smilin' the whole time and it makes me kind of sad when I heard her say that cause 1. she knows not of what she speaks, i.e. the reality of her words, and 2. she also got on to him when he got tears in his eyes in italy on the first movie junkett with stew and hardwicke and he walked out there and here is sweet Rob all happy and beautiful in front of the crowd that was cheering for them, I imagine for him mostly, and he was overwhelmed and deserved to have his moment and she pipes up with , 'Are you crying?!' When she looked up at him and saw the tears in his eyes. I mean for such a wonderful actress she sure doesn't exhibit much empathy for people and you would think especially for Robert! I mean what would it have hurt if she had walked over there and put her arm around him and looked lovingly up into his face and maybe brushed the tears away it wasn't like he was bawling like a baby or anything he was moved! ughgggg that one little moment in time has truly bothered me for some time now. I mean cut the guy some slack and we all know how soft natured he seems to be and how sweet natured and things like that get to him. When I heard Rob say on the twilight commentary that his hands bent back and the ball would hit 'im in the face, I thought that was kind of strange yet sounded familiar somehow. Any hoooo I really thought alot about our blog last night and all the things that have come home to roost in my mind at least are now making sense. Especially since my first job out of coding school was musculoskeletel clinic with a group of Dr.'s numbering close to 20! and yes, they were all surgeons in varying specialties. I googled and I wikipedia'd and I just about came to a dx of my own a time or 2 but without being able to confer with solas or Rob's own Doc, I will never know for sure whats going on with him...but I do trust Solas' observations and they sound spot on b/c of the docs I worked for. Read volumes of their surgery notes and ot and pt recommendations. And I think god gave us a really special guy in Robert. And now I'm kind of mad about Kellan ridin' him about how he runs and how he throws a baseball...that wasn't very cool? You know? He's sweet, sweet Rob and thats why I love him. And now I love him even more knowing he may have had an entire early childhood of difficulties....maybe. I think if he did have any early childhood muscle control issues that that is why he may be so special and sweet now. He learned to treat everyone else special maybe because his folks treated him that way. He does seem to like to kiss the pretty girls quite a bit and none of his friends seem to do that. And yes I know that's just a personality thing, but Robs special and that's all there is to that...like Erin Brokovich said, 'It's just that simple.' He's moved by the crowds roar for him he can't believe it and he's moved to tears by things that should move you to tears but we have grown so jaded and a society that just doesn't care about things we should anymore that someone as genuine and old fashioned as Rob for some reason is an oddity. A throw back to a different time. Well I say bring it back! You know how wonderful it would be if all men treated women like Robert treats women? I mean think about it...! GILTM!
ReplyDeletealso off topic sort of, Wal-mart has the New Moon Sweetheart candies in now! I got a box of the sweetheart candies with saying on them, like, 'I <3 E C, and 'you are my life', and 'Dazzle'. also the chocolate is slammin'. doesn't burn my throat like hersheys does. And of course there is Edwards picture on the box and Jacob and Bella....alot of Bella. not so much Edward. They seem to be allllll gone. Little candy hearts are from necco. chocolate could be hersheys but it's good! caramel, creme, and peanut butter. My daughter and I had the chocolate gone before we got home! So go get some right away. It's almost here!
ReplyDeleteimjabara-Again, I have to say and emphasize, that I don't know Rob (or Kirsten), et al personally, but I perceive Kristen's reaction to Rob's tears differently: I think she was shocked and amazed and touched. She appreciates honesty and honest emotion, and I think his tears blew her away. If she asked, Are you crying? I don't think it was to make fun of Rob.
ReplyDeleteI also think it is possible that Rob was made fun of as a child. From what I observe of his behaviour and words now, and again, it could always be wrong, because I DON"T KNOW THE LAD, but it is totally in line with a child who was made fun of, who was on the sidelines, who had to retreat to his intellect, to reading, to observing others, to possibly imitating others to see how to fit in better. Again-- in line, but that doesn't make it so; could be he was always popular, was totally coordinated, great in sports, etc.
So very often, children who have challenges find strengths in other areas and compensate, and develop in areas their peers might not.
I just wish he could be evaluated by OTs and PTs and if my observations are accurate, that he get what he needs, no matter what is demanded of him for no matter which role.

ReplyDelete@solas thanks for responding! 'She appreciates honesty and honest emotion,'
ReplyDeleteoh yeah I totally agree that's the way I've always taken her and just what I've observed so that's what makes this that much harder to understand. I find it so weird that she would say something out loud during the event in the first place? She repeated on one of these interviews exactly how she said it..and the tone the inflection of the words were kind of like she was getting on to him for not 'manning up'. And yah, maybe she really wasn't meaning to hurt him but things like that hurt anyway you know? I know Rob's manned up alot in his life and maybe far exceeded just how manly he should be and so...they got him whenever they could to make themselves feel better.
I also agree with you on the growing up thing...he does seem to be a guy that had to put up with maybe more than he's letting on about? *see manning up above* ;)) and that's why his parents always look so happy and what? relieved!? When I saw his Mom looking at him on Ellen this last time, I felt something else in play here. ...I had to think about it a while and then it hit me. She's had her heart hurt everytime someone hurt his. And then to be on the Ellen show with her son after maybe all those years of wondering if the rest of the world was going to see what she knew was a gift too big to just sit and wither? The looks on their faces were more than just pride in their son, brother. Mrs. Pattinson looked validated? Something was put right? the feeling was only something I would recognize from one mother to another? you know? He looks so happy and relaxed when his family is on the show when he is. I just get the feeling there was something more to him than the regular upbringing. Not just the private schools either. and with this new appointment for himself, exec. prod.,! I'm just wondering if maybe his Dad didn't help prepare him in that area as he ran his own business and was a success at it apparently. Rob had some good parenting in those areas and now he's using it all in a way I wish I could have had.
Anyway, Kristen! and that mouth of hers. Go figure.
