Robert Pattinson is One of Hollywood's Biggest Money Makers
Vanity Fair's inaugural list of Hollywood's Top 40 Money Makers will be released on Tuesday and Robert Pattinson takes the 35th spot with 18 Million dollars. Kristen Stewart is also in the list with 16 million dollars at the 37th spot. He is one of the 6 people under 25 thatr made the list: Harry Potter trio, Radcliffe, Watson, Grint, Kristen Stewart and Shia LaBeouf. According to this list Rob made more money than Brad Pitt and Clint Eastwood in 2009...that is impressive. (You can find the full list HERE)
The magazine interviewed scores of Hollywood insiders to compile the list, says contributing editor Peter Newcomb, who compiled the list. Although agents, lawyers, studio executives, and even the stars themselves provided the deal numbers, calculating the earning power isn't always an exact science, Newcomb says.
The March Vanity Fair will be on newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on Wednesday and will be available nationally on next Tuesday.
Now that I have joined the "working people" I will have less time for the blog :( How about hiring me Rob? Looks like you can afford me and then some :))
Source: Daily Finance thanks to Little Capucine for the tip :)
@Goz congratulations on the "back to work", please don't let yourself be missed. The humanity work you have been doing here is of great importance too.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I really can't believe that... Although Rob surely is worth all that money - and more! But when he signed the one contract for the first three Twilight movies he was a relatively unknown, struggling actor... it's not very likely that Summit gave him such a good contract when he was in this position, right? And once Rob became that famous after Twilight came out, this first contract was already there. So why should they have increased Rob's salary that much?! And "Remember me" is a rather small movie, so the 18 Millions can't possibly come out of that.
ReplyDeleteI think Rob will start to make the real big money only now - probably with "Water for elephants" and of course "Breaking dawn".
I have no idea where they got that figure from, but I hope it is close to being true. He deserves it! Nice to see his name wedged between some heavy hitting A-Listers.
ReplyDeleteGood for him! And good for you Goz, joining the struggling masses again! LOL. Please remember your important work for womankind as well, and drop by frequently to assist in our Robsessing.
ReplyDelete@Juli87
ReplyDeletePromotion things like Edward dolls, cards and chocolates etc. helped him to make more money if I am not wrong. Because I know, sometimes promotion stuff bring more money than movies. And Twilight Saga's promotion stuff really brought so much money, as much as movie brought.
Good morning!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, congrats Gozde. Please don't stray too far, we will miss you.
I think I read somewhere that Summit was negotiating with the Twi-three for BD and maybe this sum is factored into the $18 M. Also endorsements or promotion would be added in. Wow, to be 23 or 19 and have that much money. Both Rob and KStew seem grounded and normal, I hope that lasts.
He deserves every penny. Rob, do you need an assistant? Hire me.
Wow... The sexual chemistry between them in that clip is just almost magical. I hope they find a way to regain that cause it was clearly gone by New Moon.
ReplyDelete@Goz congratulations and stay with us every time possible, please.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is so much important to me. It is a great support to Rob.
Rob is one of the biggest Hollywood money makers. Great!!! He is gonna be more powerful and produce his own projects.
@Gozde: Congrats! I hope it was the one you were wanting...
ReplyDelete@Juli87: I think the 3-deal for Twilight was around $12 m, and then when you add Remember Me, Unbound Captives and Bel Ami into the mix, it seems reasonable. They renegotiated for BD, on the basis of the possible 2-split, and I don't think that's included.
Congratulations Gozde! I am thankful every day for the wonderful blog you created. Don't stay too far away. :)
ReplyDeleteWe all know he is worth this and more!!! Too bad it has to be $$$ that get him some recognition.
Gozde--much success--not just financially, but n all ways!
ReplyDeleteMuch sucess in all ways to Rob and Kristen, as well. I hope whatever he hearns will give him a comfort zone as far as finding a safe haven away from work, and as far as choosing only what he wants to do on his own terms.
I wanted to add that, from what I understand, these money figures are not what they clear at all. By the time you take out taxes, percentages for agents, reps, lawyers, etc, the actual take-home is far less.
ReplyDelete@Goz congratulation :) Don't forget us here ;)
ReplyDeleteHe is going to make huge amounts of money in the future as well.He is smart and knows what he wants to do. Although I don't think making money is his driving force.
Good for him. I'm very happy to hear that he is actually getting some profits out of Summit for the great job he has done in the Twilight movies.
ReplyDeleteHe was probably paid for Remember Me, too, and as Executive Producer it might have been a good deal more than he was paid for the first three Twilight movies. And, even if only the Twilight movies, there have been three that he has made so that is only $6 million a piece. I read somewhere how much he was paid but can't remember what it was.
