Robert Pattinson HUGE in Times Square

OK... this makes me a little teary eyed and full of pride. One of my motherly moments for Rob.

Remember Me producer Nick Osborne tweeted earlier today: "Billboard up in Times Square at Westin Hotel..... looks great"

Source and thank you to Nautiluswirl for sending them the photo's.

  1. Love it! Great advertisement for the movie and it certainly pretties up the street doesn't it?

  2. Could you please post sometime the good people to follow on Twitter so that we get Rob information? I read here, but am always amazed that you know who to Twitter. Who would be the best one to follow for news on Breaking Dawn, for example?

  3. Cool! Thanks Kat.
I know there is some comment to be made about the "Robert Pattinson and HUGE", but it's still early yet....

  4. LOL. How many women are gonna fall off the sidewalk or bump into each other because of walking with their heads up in the air? LOL... Gorgeous!

  6. Oh my, now I can understand why billboards/huge posters of naked women can cause car accidents. Just imagine myself seeing this while trying to drive by. I would stop there, mouth open wide in the loose of all brain function ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Can I have it after the movie is released? lol!

    ReplyDelete
  8. I've seen his face in Times Square before, but never have I felt that momma bear pride like with this.. I can not wait for this movie! PERIOD!

Oh, God. I was gonna say something, but thought better of it since it's such a mighty feeling seeing our Rob up on that billboard. His special moment. But, still.........gotta love the NB that comes to the forefront.
    FILTM

    Go Rob!!!!!!

  11. It looks amazing and for sure it makes the place much prettier.

I guess that if I walked that street, I would surely stare at this poster like a crazy and I would probably get hit by some car or at least I would walk into that road sign...

  12. OH WOW!!!

It does look great. And they've got it up a full month before the film comes out. Good. Lot of people (who don't follow him or Twilight) are going to see that and -hopefully- be curious.

I wonder when they'll get the same billboard up on Sunset Blvd.? Might have to drive over and take a look.

One of the things I love about this poster is that it conveys emotion. Don't the two of them look joyous in this shot? Young, in love and joyous.

Can't wait for this film. I'm anticipating it more than the rest of the Twilight films even. Maybe because this one is a test. Will he be accepted in a role other than Edward Cullen AND will he attract a different audience? Also...

I just want to see him in a different role and oh my god...this story. Can't wait.

  13. I was home in England when both Twilight and NM came out, there were billboards everywhere (plus ads on the double deckers)... I know I came close to crashing the car a few times.

This makes me so proud though ;-)

    I'm so there!

    XOXO

  16. Oh that's so lovely! Thanks for the pic! i don't think we'll get this over here in Paris but I'll keep an eye open.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @nikola6:

You nailed it again, they look so joyful and young *sigh* :-) Everytime I see this picture it reminds me of my first love.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Very, very cool! And I'm very proud of him.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ok why am I sitting here with big fat tears int eyes????

    Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  20. And don't forget Sunset Blvd. Suz...

It's always a big deal when an actor gets his face plastered over that street and if they've got him up in Times Square, I can't imagine that Sunset Blvd. is far behind. And Sunset is one of Rob's haunts when he's in LA (alot of the resturants, clubs and the Chateau Marmont are on that street).

    So what do we have?

    Time Square Rob
    Picadilly Rob
    Sunset Blvd. Rob

    Red Square Rob?
    Great Wall of China Rob?
    Vatican Rob?

    Well. It could happen.

    ReplyDelete
  21. So proud of him! Keep going Rob. You're doing great.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Love it!

May I just say that the Westin Times Square is my personal choice for restroom facilities when out and about in TSQ??

    :D

  23. It's so amazing. The pride we all feel for this Beautiful Stranger.

    I am positively beaming.

    : )

    ReplyDelete
  24. We should all send in pics of the billboards from where ever we live. Realizing that some smaller towns/cities won't have these. Sorry. I am hoping Chicago has them all over the place, especially on the expressways, subway stops and bus stops, like the did for NM.

    Very proud of our boy!

@JC - The NB is always lurking....

    ReplyDelete
  25. RPG, tears here too. I am so proud and happy for Rob.

    He looks amazing up there!

    FILTM!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Most definitely a motherly moment for me as well! Teary eyed and bursting with pride!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Our boy has made it to Time Square again. Love it. Robsessed Proud!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. This reminds me of the last time he was on Ellen. They were talking about the NM premiere & he said that they were closing Times Square for it. When he says it, he sucks in his breath like he just can't believe it. I wonder how he feels about this?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I know RPG...I got a little teary too. It's in these moments that I go all 'mommy' on him and think...'oh look, da baby's spreading his wings. He's taking off.'

And OT for just a sec.
I'm sorry 'bout last night...again. I missed another party. I had been up since 3 in the morning (I'm an insomniac who sleeps weird hours...if at all) and I had eaten very little that day and then that beer just put me under the table...or rather...the bed. I couldn't focus and I fell asleep. What a pussy! So sorry. But anyway...

    And thanks keely...
I love this poster because it 'says something.' Most don't. Alot are just floating heads. Although the Twilight posters are good too. Can't wait to see what they come up with for Breaking Dawn as I figure Eclipse will be another threesome shot to further the idea of the triangle. Breaking Dawn is the poster I'm wating for and I got an idea or two of my own for how I'd like to see it.

  30. One day you are out buying drawers with your bff...

the next you are KING OF TIMES SQUARE.

    That's our boy!

    ReplyDelete
  31. @nik
Yes, I agree with the test sentiment, esp. for those who are not as aware of Rob's non-Twilight acting credentials as are we. I am a little anxious for the fickle film critic reviews, because it seems they love to bring it down on the most popular. But, I believe Rob will pass this test with flying colors. We all need to keep sending good karma his way!!!

Rob~hope to see you flyin' high from Piccadilly to Sunset Bv. Proud is the word of the day!!

    FILTM

  32. This makes me so happy, to see this billboard display...so proud for Rob.
    SQUEEEE!!!!!!

  33. @suz lol you are right:):) I really like the bilboard noone can be like this on it Rob is always gorgeus

    ReplyDelete
  34. Proud of our man :D
BTW,hope Robs huge pic doesn't cause any traffic accident with all the ladies looking at him ;)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Lisa...

You pee at the Westin. I'm a Marriott girl myself. LOL!

    And Marna...

I think he's still overwhelmed by it all. And who wouldn't be? The tragectory of his ascent has been nothing less than bloody unbelieveable. Just 15 months ago today (Twilight still had a few weeks to go before it opened), he was virtually unknown to most of the world (yeah, he was king of the castle in the Twilight bubble, but that bubble had yet to explode) and here he is now...one of the most recognizable faces in the world.

    It's stunning.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nikola, I love the Westin. Easy in/Easy out on the potties LOL

    And centrally located LMAO!

I also prefer the lobby loo's at the Waldorf :D

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's like the Princess Diana syndrome....he's like the male version of how her life was...sort of. I mean, he's an actor, she was a princess, but he's getting the same attention and fame...it's really crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  38. @annieforpattie are you sure about the traffic thing if I were a driver I dont know what would happen when I saw this:)

    ReplyDelete
  39. And people have said he is literally "stunning" in person, just like she was.....

    ReplyDelete
  40. lovesrob you are right now its official ha

    ReplyDelete
  41. jc...

Yeah, the critics will be lying in wait for him. It makes me nervous, but...as long as he keeps on selling movie tickets, he'll be given more opportunities to show those critics what he's got. And he will. The talent is there.

    And Suz...

You referred to him as 'Beautiful Stranger' and I guess he is although I've lately begun thinking of him as 'Bel Ami' (his nickname in the film) which means 'Beautiful Friend.' And only because I think Bel Ami is such a beautiful name.

What's the french word for 'stranger'? For 'man'?

    I'd really like to know.

Also if they got one for...'fuckhawt, pigeon toed, wonky legged doofus.'

Now THAT one, I'd really like to know.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @LovesRob - "Stunning" doesn't even touch it. He is divine in person. *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  43. OMG this makes me rediculously happy!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. So enjoying these comments. You can really feel the love! It's very touching. When it's all said and done, the support of Rob is all that really matters. Nobody better mess with our man unless you want to face the wrath of the Robsessed!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Regarding the references to the Princess of Wales...

I've always felt the correlation between the two. Both beautiful, shy young Brits who got thrust into a worldwide spotlight at an extremely young age; Diana at 20, Rob at 22. Doesn't matter that one was a princess and the other an actor.

Cautastrophic (sp?) fame has the same effect on a life.

    Her's killed her.

Although the frenzy surrounding her never died down, not even after 16 years. I'm hoping that it will die down for Rob.

And I think it will. Her fame was because of 'who she was.' His from 'what he does.' He can take breaks from doing what he does, but she could never stop being who she was.

So...despite the simularities, there is a BIG difference.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I know I wouldn't want to be faced with a ROBSESSED Wrath.... just saying

    ReplyDelete
  47. And once again Rob is HUGE!!!!! :))))
Had to say that, NB told me to! :)

Gonna take a day trip and go see it myself....

    ReplyDelete
  50. as long as he can't stare at himself he's got a HUGE problem

I'd like to see his facial expression X)

    ReplyDelete
  51. @nik
LMAO! Some words just don't translate!! But one word is pretty universal: Robert

    ReplyDelete
  52. @nikola6
Nikola6, to answer your question... the French word for stranger is "étranger" and the word for man is "homme". You can trust me. :)) I'm French.

    ReplyDelete
  53. imagine the lucky people whose office windows face that billboard, what a sight to work to!

    ReplyDelete
  54. on second thought, they might just get fired for not paying attention to the boss!

    @nik, Suz, & jc

    ITA with all of you!!!

    FILTM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  56. @LHR
My hubby says "shit eating grin" all the time. Do you think it's a southern thing? Or does it just go along with looking at Rob. lol

    ReplyDelete
  57. @jc

I say it all the freakin` time!! It must be a southern thing...although I don`t think I`d have a grin on my face if I was eating shit...just sayin`.

    ;)

    ReplyDelete
  58. Whyistherum?

Thank you so much. I think I'm sticking with Bel Ami. It's such a beautiful name. It's perfect for him.
('course 'fuckhawt, pigeon toed, wonky legged doofus' is my other favorite for him)

    And jc...

I've been saying 'shit eating grin' for most of my life and I'm a California girl born of parents born and raised in Brooklyn.

If it started in the south, then the rest of us stole it. Hell. I'll steal a good line from anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  59. LMAO @ LHR

    @nik
LOL~I don't claim the expression, I just have never heard anyone else from out of my locale use it. But, then again, not many of the people I speak with that don't live in the south use the term shit-eating grin in polite conversation!! haha I kind of like it-shit eating grin. Reminds you of the chesire cat. Must be what we look like when we're drooling over Rob!

  62. WOW I sure hope that the New Yorkers will appreciate this film for what it is worth.

    ReplyDelete
  63. - I just saw pictures of Rob/Tom buying underwear yesterday and here he is posted in Time Square. Well you gotta stay humble!!! I guess all those love scenes in Bel Ami convinced him he needed new clean undies since he doesn't know how to use a "washer".

    ReplyDelete
  64. i saw this today poster today at lunch yay!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yeah, he has this sweet expression on that gorgeous profile, and that leaning down thing he does kills me every time.
    Look, it's a huge Robert!

By the way, I know the drought is over, but, the next time we need a Rob collection, could someone consider doing a series of Profile Rob? There are so many perfect ones.

    ReplyDelete
  66. btw in case u were all wondering.. there were a group of tourists today around 2:30ish in the afty who were taking pics of the poster and screaming about rob being on a billboard. normally i'd roll my eyes but i was fangirling with them

    ReplyDelete
  67. So proud!! Just overjoyed!! This is just awesome for him!
Can't believe I get to see it in person in Times Square in just a few weeks! I'm not sure I'll survive it.
