Just took another look at those shots and yeah, he does look so young here. I think it's the lack of stubble. He must have shaved in the limo as I don't think I've ever seen him so clean shaven. It'll be interesting to see how much stubble is there by the end of the evening, 'cause that boy can grow some hair...fast.

I'm not the biggest fan of Kristen, but she was voted in by fans. Yes, some are twilight fans, but she did get voted in. I don't think she needs to share her award. I personally didnt even think she was going to win with Ms. Mulligan being her contender where as Rob would have been an obvious vote: yes.
She proved that she has a fan base all her own. I have a really good friend who was a huuuge huuuge huuuge fan of hers since way before Twilight. In my own opinion I don't think it was the twilight fans that voted her in. Twilight fan in the majority don't even like her. It is her own fans and in a way I am actually happy because twi fans are biased this award show should be her holding her own and not just saying she won because of twilight. I dont think she won because of twilight. i think she won because she has a strong fanbase both including and excluding twilight fan. I dont feel she is a good actress nor do i really care for her. the the vote is a popularity contest for this award and she won it so i say good for her. she actually included twilight fan and seemed put together for once which is a shock so i am proud she at least attempted to make an effort.

That one was the only award where the public was allowed to vote and we all know what happens if anything that has to do with Twilight gets nominated. The Twihards swarm in and just vote vote vote.
Its not a nod from the Brit Academy but another vote from the Twihards who make sure (even if sometimes unjustified and unfair) that anything Twilight related wins. (I just remember Twilight being pulled from an Awards list because Twihards where giving 10 points to Twilight and to make sure they win only 1 to the other movies. Is that objective voting? Dont think so)

StephsLegit, I don't know where you live, but there are many adult Twilight fans in my area. In fact we are having a great party when Eclipse debuts here and no one is under the age of 35. The core of the Twilight fans may be teens but don't discount the adults who love the movies and have actually discovered both Rob and Kristen through Twilight. Without Twilight there is no way she would have been honored for her work to date, good as it may be, because not enough people, particularly in England knew her outside of Twilight.

If you know my record on this website then you know I am no Kristen fan and I dont think she is a great actress. She does have an impressive resume so i have to give her credit where credit is due. All the Robsteners that you are talking about are literally on this blog and maybe her personal imdb page. check the comments on this blog and tell me how many non kristen fan you encounter? i am in the minority believe me. everyone i encountered on here are literally the only pro kristen people i have ever come across
the reason her imdb website count is so high is because people are scouring the site for any info on rob & her together. people love to hate her.
with that said...
she also has had a huge fan base before twilight. i have known about her before twilight and i know a few people who have followed her work. most of my friends are in the film studies/theater program @Tisch (NYU) and talking logistically about films and actors and actresses is a past time. She has a lot of fans that dont include twilight fans. believe me. go to any twilight fan and they will bash kristen likes its their job and the want to be the CEO.
Granted it is a popularity contest, but even without twilight i still think kristen would have a good shot. seriously, the girl really does have a resume and a half. she has worked with award winning actors and actresses. Besides the lack of talent (in my opinion) she has had a steady popularity before twilight. without twilight i still feel it prob would have went to mulligan, but kristen still probably would have been a close 2nd.
i think she deserved it based on experience. its a rising star award not a talent award. a star embodies many things to many people. in her own right she is one.
LT I know you work with teens and probably appreciate what a courageous and fierce role model Kristen is for young girls, especially coming from fast-paced So Cal and and the very macho movie industry.
But.... her name always starts a cat fight here, so I'll just take things back to our lovely man Rob alone. Much wiser move!

You may be right StephLegit. I am not in the film business, am a college professor, but of education, not film. I love movies, but had only seen Kristen in Panic Room as a child prior to Twilight and didn't realize it was the same girl. I think she deserved the award, too, but really do think she won it because of the national acclaim of Twilight. It is not that she isn't a good actress. Maybe she has more fans who know film, like you and your fellow students, than outside of the film world. I don't go to the other blogs because my interest is actually Rob not Twilight, but I do like the books and the love the movies and love the two of them together. If Rob had won an award, I would want him to have acknowledged Kristen simply because it is the combination of Edward/Bella that makes the entire sage so endearing. I hear you though. This is not a cat fight by any means. It is merely a difference in opinion or perhaps perception.

i mean if this was a competition based on talent then Mulligan should have owned. But based on popularity and experience this award really was made for kristen. even without twilight i knew who she was. i didnt like her but she had a name i recognized. mulligan, on the other hand, i had no idea who she was until she started dating shia la-whateverhisnameis. i saw her work and she impressed me with her acting. but this is an award based on being a rising star not being the greatest acrress of all time. it isnt that serious of an award. i personally think she would still be a likely winner even without twilight, but that is just my opinion.
Oh thank you. I intend to watch the show when it comes on here in the midwest, but would love to see pictures ahead of time and video when possible. I have been obsessing all day because I know where Rob is and I am half a world away and would give anything to see him in person. Why don't we show the red carpet here in America. I've been watching some animal thing on BBCAmeric all afternoon and before that a cooking show hoping they say something about the awards. I am not in the film business either, but the friends i have happened to make all are. I like to brows other websites because i love to know what people are thinking or how they are feeling which is why know that this is a very kristen friendly website. i think the moderators are neutral like goz,kate and dan, but the bloggers such as myself are big kristen fans or at least it seems that way.

Oh jeez...well, Edwards Eclipse is essentially the book Eclipse, but from edwards POV...it's almost word for work SM's book, however, all told from Edward POV...
It's also complete...so no waiting for updates.....HOWEVER;
High Anxiety is seriously one the BEST FF out there....it's funny, full of gut wrenching sadness, it's all human, so totally different than twilight stuff....
