  2. I'm not far from NY but on the off chance I ever was able to go, and actually see him in person, I really think my pants would explode.

  10. I booked my trip to NY before christmas... I see now that I picked the wrong dates, I'm going on march 26... :s
It's a long way to travel from Norway, so I don't think I'll get the chance to go there on march 1... :( (If I'm not lucky enough to win the lottery or something... :D)
On the other hand, it's not such a long flight to London... :)

  18. Pray that no more blizzard will get in our way. I'll be there no matter what.
Can we make it to the box office # 1 movie of 2010? It's all up to us to make Rob as the #1 Box office star of the decade. lol.

  19. Glad it's the Paris, seen a number of good movies there, and it's next to one of my fav buildings.

  20. Is there a group planning to go that I might be able to join? I'm in DC and considering going up for it, but having trouble convincing my friend to go with me ...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh I like this. I thought maybe it would be a big hoopla at the Ziegfeld, but I like this venue much better. More understated.

    And Angie? Sweetie?
Unless you know someone on the inside who can get you in, you're not going to get inside of that theatre. This is an industry event. Not for the public. However...

Because this is Rob, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they've got some contests going that would give away tickets to the premiere OR alot of times on the radio, they have people call in and if you're the right caller...BINGO!!! So, sniff around. But I know you cannot purchase tickets anywhere. At least I've never heard of the public buying tickets to an industry film premiere.

Best bet to see him? Get down to that theatre just as early as you can and...wait AND hang around for him to leave too. Alot wander off after the stars go in, but sometimes those who wait, get an even nicer encounter at the end; the media is gone, the crowds have dimmed and it just isn't as a chaotic scene as when the stars first arrive. That's how I ran into him at the Con (although it was an accident). It was at the end, when the hoopla had died down and he was virtually standing alone in a small, empty hallway.

Good luck you guys and remember...

    PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE!!!

    just sayin'

    ReplyDelete
  22. Angie & CL, you two ok over there? ; ) LOL. Pulse a bit erratic yet? Wait for it! Angie, you bought a camera that does video, right?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Okay. There is a possible way into that theatre. But it will cost you your virtue.

Head down to that theatre and see if there's anyone there you can sleep with. Well. Desperate times call for desperate measures. And we are talking about Rob afterall.

Just be sure it's someone of real importance and influence who can actually get you in. 'Cause god forbid you hand it over to the kid who just making the nachos.

    That would be a tragedy.

Unless he could get you some free nachos.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Rob's Bitch - love your name!
Angie-K and I (and one of Angie's friends) are going. We have plane tickets and a hotel room. We are flying in on 2/28 and flying out on 3/3. Would love for you to join us.
    You can e-mail me at
cullenlover07@gmail.com and I can give you the specifics.

@Gwen - Every day that we get closer to March 1 my heart rate goes up a notch. Between the three of us, we have 5 cameras, one that takes HD video! If I don't die, there should be some awesome footage. Fingers crossed.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well that's all fine and good CL, but what I wanna know is...

Who's gonna 'put out' to get you guys inside?

C'mon now. It's for da baby.

    ReplyDelete
  26. you know whats funny. 75% of the people that showed up while he was filming 'Remember Me' were tourists. The same probably goes for the premiere. I just find it ironic how he thinks NYers are aggressive meanwhile most of them will spend that day doing something else.

    ReplyDelete
  27. *** sorry that sounded really bad, but it just made me think. One of my friends went to filming one day for RM and she was the only NYer standing in a crowd, and then I am reading about a lot of people flying in to see the premiere. It just so weird because bisdes myself and maybe a handful of other people no one in NYC cares about a premiere and all these celebs have this jaded perception of NY fans lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. You got a point there Stephs...

I've lived in NY on and off over the years and you're right. For the most part, NYers could give a rat's ass about celebrities.

Even Times Square...Alot of people in the country and around the world think that Times Square is what NYC is all about. And it's not. Time Square is the mecca for tourists and NYers do not go there to shop or eat. Well okay. They do eat there occasionally but usually if or when they're coming out of a Broadway theatre.

But...perception is everything. I know people who still think Rob's appeal is for screaming pre-pubescent girls ONLY. That's what they think, 'cause that's what the media has shown them.

PERCEPTION! It's become greater than the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  29. PLEASE POST PICS GALS!! the ones who are going. Wish I can go.I went to the chicago twi convention (scared cause I never did anything like that in my life) and honestly had the time of my life! went with the Robchicks from another site. We had so much fun! theyre meeting in LA next. I gave up vacation time and sacrificed-and I dont regret it! Hopefully you guys have just as much fun as we did. VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO TOO! xoxoxo

    ReplyDelete
  30. Now all of that said about locals vs. tourists...

I got no problem with anyone getting on a plane, boat or train to go see him at a PUBLIC event in which it's been announced that he will be attending. I say, have it and take some goddamn pictures, willya?

What I do have a problem with is intrusion into his life, his personal space where he should not have to be 'on'. Although, he's pretty accomodating (sp?) even then, isn't he?

    Sweet guy.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I wanna go too - is there an on-line site where you can buy tickets??? Seriously, ladies. Help me out here! I'll be driving down from Canada.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Don't worry ladies. I think we will get a good chance of going to the premiere if u get there earlier.

First of all, March 1, is a working day, Monday and ppl are rushing to go home after work. )what if they stay on?)

Second, If the ones who get to see the info are just the avid, robsessed fans who live in NYC and the surrounding states. We might have a chance to get in. What's the seating capacity of the theater.

Third, the theater is not in Times Square, it's off 4 W. 58th St. Not too many tourists wander here.

and Last, yes free. i called the theater.

    OMG. i'm hoping i'm right.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Stephs...

I think I misread your post. You were saying that you think it's the actors themselves who think that NYers are somewhat out of control because of celebrity. Some I guess. I would imagine that those who live there though, have got it pretty much figured out. But perhaps not Rob at this point.

As far as I know, his only experiences with NYC have been all about the insanity which has ensued because of Twilight and then again, on the streets while filming RM.

I have sometimes wondered if he realized then (while filming RM), that all of THIS surrounding him is not just about Twilight, but that it's about HIM too.

I've wondered if he's 'gotten' that yet.

    ReplyDelete
  34. i have no problem with robsesed tourists either. I think we at last try to be respectable towards him, but the RM crowd was crazy, rude, and a disgrace. it sucks that he hates NY cuz of people who dont even live here. That was the point I was trying to make. I didnt mean to offend you all. I know you are all dying to see him and if you ever get the opportunity to you would not trample him. I apologize. The RM crowd was a whole different animal though.

In all honesty if any of you really plan on going to the theater i would probably camp out starting on Sunday night. The premiere may be at like 7 o clock or so, but he will probably get there around 4:30 or 5. And Monday may be a work day, but NY also has about 10 universities around the area Columbia, NYU, Pace, Baruch, etc... which all cater to the college crowd who WILL be going. In NYC its different; people go out every night so saying its a work day is moot. If people know he is there, they will be there.

On another note he will probably have a flight out that same night. I don't expect him to stay too long, plus if he gets a redeye out of NY he will be able to film the next day.

    ReplyDelete
  35. CL & Angie, have a wonderful time.
Hope you get tickets somehow. Glad you found cameras so we get to see our guy up close and personal by non-screaming fans.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @StephsLegit - Not sure how to take your comment. I have family in NY (and have lived there for a short time) and I go there about four times a year, so I don't feel like I'm a true tourist.

Why do people have a problem with someone flying to go see something/someone they are interested in? It's my money, my time and my life.
And as far as NYers not caring about celebs, I don't agree with that either. Plenty of NYers I know have done the waiting in line for a premier or for Fashion Week, or for the celebrity events at the Met, etc. And who do you think sends in the sightings of celebrities spotted in the West Village, etc. to all the blogs, I don't think it's tourists because they are all in Times Square.

    Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well. If they are selling tickets to the public, that would be a first. Unless they do it differently there in NY as oppose to here in LA. Although...

Maybe because this looks to shaping up as kinda low key (small theatre, maybe not such a star studded event...but I doubt that), they are offering tickets to the public.

Although (again)...now that I think of it. Alot of these premieres are for charity and in that instance, yes, the public can get in BUT it's usally for several hundred dollars a ticket.

I don't know. See what you can dig up and if you can get in...GREAT!
I just didn't want people geting their hopes up thinking this would be a piece of cake like going to any theatre to see a film only to be disappointed.

I hope none of you are and whoever can make it there, can get in.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I have the worst timing! I don't fly into NYC until March 2 and this theater is only 4 blocks from where I usually stay in the city. Bummer!

    ReplyDelete
  39. @nikola

Exactlys, I dont want people to get there hopes up either. Its a small theater to begin with. Even though summit is under this impression that it will be small it won't be. For anyone who goes get there early its the best bet. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw people camping out the saturday before.

    @Cullenslover

you are right to spend money however you choose. The comment was misread or at least I didnt get the point across that I was trying to make. The point was that the RM me crowd disgusted me and how Rob hates NYC because of tourists. It wasnt directed at those who are going on Monday. But a little heads up get there early if you really want to go. You may not get tickets to get in, but at least you can take a pic or two or get an autograph.

    ReplyDelete
  40. as for it being a charity event i wouldnt be surprised. one of my friends took me to a new moon screening the wednesday before it came out. i couldnt get in , but she could. she interns for a marketing company that worked with summit. she only reason she ot in was because some executive recognized her. I, of course had to go see 2012 instead lol

    ReplyDelete
  41. If anyone camps out in front of the theater they're going to be icicles! Brrr....it's very cold in the northeast...it's not like camping out in LA for the NM premiere!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Just to be there and see or feel the excitement of the moment is priceless. I've been to many Rob sitings in NYU and CP and never had regret one bit. Thanks, got a strong heart. Hoping and praying will have a good weather on this day. Amen.

    ReplyDelete
  43. It's always about who you know, isn't it?

That whole industry is about networking and schmoozing and whatnot.

    I've always hated the 'exclusivity'
of show business and the brown nosing and ass kissing ya gotta do in order to make it into that exclusive club. Which is why I suppose, I skidaddled on out of it.
And I'm not talking about the stars. They're in and they don't have to kiss anyone's ass to get something they want as EVERYTHING is offered up to them (and their family and friends).

So now I just watch from the sidelines and listen to the latest inside dirt from my friends who are still scrambling and brown nosing and ass kissing, to get somewhere.

    No thanks.

  44. One word...

    THERMALS!

    Two words...

    THERMALS & COFFEE

    Three words...

    THERMALS & COFFEE & ROB...oh my

(and if catching sight of him can't warm ya up...nothing will)

    ReplyDelete
  45. well my friend got into the NM premiere because she was supposed to be the stand in for the executive because his flight was delayed so he wasnt sure if he could make it out. , but he did lol. i mean i guess it rolled off my shoulders. i only had to wait another day an was not about to fight with the gustapo guarding his post. i didnt care, but my friend did. she felt horible for dragging me there (although i was more than wlling) only to let me down. i dont know for me it would take a lot more than that to anger me.

    ReplyDelete
  46. @stephslegit: does Rob hate NYC? I'm curious because I've never heard him say so and he seems to enjoy himself there, aside from some of the filming situations.

    ReplyDelete
  47. you right, he hasn't. The way it was during filming and how he described its craziness alluded to the fact that he didnt enjoy it much. Not sure if it ws the general city or the people surrounding the hype.

anyways. I'll be back later tonight. Good day all

    ReplyDelete
  48. We are planning on being there at 6 AM Monday. We are well prepared for the cold as I am from Chicago and Angie is from the East Coast, we have thermals, down coats, snow boots, etc.
We don't expect to get into the premiere, it would be by the grace of God if we did, we just want to go and have fun. And most importantly see The Pretty!!!

I don't think Rob hates NY. I think he hated all those wild-haired girls who were disgustingly out of control last year. He said that it was in Canada where he learned to "walk with his head down." If we were to see him, we are planning on taking him into "protective custody" and transporting him via wheel barrow.
bumpbumpbumpbump....where are all the NB's at?

    ReplyDelete
  49. CL & Angie, since you guys have all those cameras, maybe (Gwen ducks down very low) you could tweet the pix on Premiere Day? LOL. Or not.

(Gwen admits to having a twitter account, but also admits she doesn't actually USE it...)

Or just email them to Goz, Kat or Kate. (Hey, we must live vicariously through you guys! And hey, pix of our Gorgeous ROB---probably in a freaking TUX? Are you kidding! Gwen believes in planning ahead.)

So, for Robstock 2010 Ground Support (aka, meanwhile, back at the ranch...) you guys add GwenCooper426@aol.com to your contacts! For, you know, bail money, lawyers, etc. Or encouragement. (Bad Gwen.)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Is that the Grace Building next to the theatre?

I bet Gwen remembers the famous Jordache Jeans commercial that was filmed in front of it eons ago ;)

Eh...I have to work that day~damn closing. I'm not much for celeb events anyway, even with Robert present. I mean, if I were guaranteed to get to have at him...I mean, meet him in a most dignified and graceful manner...I'd go ;)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Gwen...
I'm not sure he'll show up in a tux as this thing looks to be pretty low key (that is until he shows up and all hell breaks loose).

    So then...
    Thermals...check
    Coffee...check
    Down coats...check
    Snow boots...check
    Spaceheater...check
    Wheelbarrow...check

Looks like you NB's are good to go.
And as Gwen said, we'll be holding down the fort with bail money, lawyers, etc.

But when he shows up, just tweety bird us with (oh god. I'm encouraging tweety bird...what have you done to me Rob? You little bastard). Just tweety us with...

    'Houston, we have lift off.'

I can't wait for you guys to see him. I really can't. And what's this thing about LA? Is there a Rob Fest being planned for Eclipse?
    I live in LA.

    Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yes Gwen! We must live vicariously through you all!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Lisa...

Of course we knew what you meant.

'Graceful and dignified' at all times.

    Screw that shit. I say...

Trip him as he's going in, slap the cuffs on him, toss him in that wheelbarrow and run like hell.

That is if you can beat the gals in the Robstock van to him. Maybe what you guys need here, is some co-operation. A joint stragedy. A plan. You need a plan.

Park the van down the street with the back doors wide open. Hoist him up out of that wheelbarrow, toss him in and don't the hit the brakes till you hit the Jersey Turnpike.

Now that girls, it what we call...

    A PLAN!!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. And if you have to run - SERPENTINE!!!!! Hehehehehe

    ReplyDelete
  55. Neither Angie or I are "Twitters", but for this wonderfully hilarious group of deranged (said with a smile on my face, and including myself) Robholics, I think one of us can manage to tweet.

We will need Ground Support (Gwen is awesome today!) on full alert. But, Nik, I think it should be, "NB's, we have lift off."

    ReplyDelete
  56. Cl & Angie, repeat after Gwen: "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

Absolutely positive that mischief will, most definitely, be managed. LOL. (Wink!)

    Oh, Rob.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Absolutely right CL. I stand corrected.

    'NB's we have liftoff.' Indeed.

    And Gwen...

I loved your reference to the Marauder's Map (that was my favorite bit of magic at Hogwarts).

    Crap. That's what we need. A Marauder's Map...on Rob.

    ReplyDelete
  58. One thing I forgot on that checklist.

    Change of panties.

I don't care how cold it is. Soon as you catch first sight of him, those panties are gonna explode.

    True fact.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thank you CullenLover, that is really sweet of you! I'll let you know if I'm going to go, etc. I don't think I could be out all day in the cold though - but I'd imagine I'd be attached by crazed fans if I tried to join you later in the day? They'd cut a bitch - literally!

I'm originally from New York (LI) and used to spot many celebrities in NYC. The soap stars especially - I would just stare at them thinking "Don't I know from somewhere"?

    ReplyDelete
  60. "attacked" by crazed fans... oops.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thanks CL for stepping up on our behalf! ITA with EVERYTHING you've said.

And to add a few of my own,I have never been to NY and the ONLY reason I am going now is to see ThePretty Mr. Robert Thomas Pattinson.

I am not a crazed tourist and I find it hard to believe that everyone in those crazy crowds while RM was being filmed were tourists. WTF? Are we supposed to believe that the women of NY are immune to Rob? As if! And I'm getting tired of people putting words into Rob's mouth (he doesn't hate NY - never said it) because there are people who do not have BS sensors and they believe everything they read.

I am also not deluded. I fully understand that it is unlikely that we will see the inside of the theater. I knew that before I ever purchased my plane ticket, but I bought it anyway! Just a chance to catch a glimpse of HIM is worth the adventure to me.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I read your post guys and it seems to be a small theater. Why do you think Summit did not choose something more impressive for a premiere? Do they think RM is going to be really "small"? Like a nice little indie film? What do you think? Is it going to be big or small? Anyone has any idea?

    ReplyDelete
  63. I hope you all have a great time and that you see Rob and he sees YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @CL& angie, can't you give him the shirt he's wearing in your avi ;)

    ReplyDelete
  65. @Martini - SERPINTINE!!! LMAO!! good thing I've been practicing my wheelbarrow driving!

@Gwen - "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!!" LMAO!!! But the "protective custody will be for his own good!

Also good to know that Ground Support will be on stand-by!! I admit to having a twitter account, but I have NEVER tweeted a twit! Don't even know why I signed up for it.

We promise to get the best pictures and videos possible under the circumstances...especially since we both may freakin' pass out!! Good thing we're taking a third party with us(but I have a feeling she may be ROBsessed by the time this trip is over.)

    FILTM!!!

    bumpbumpbump

    ReplyDelete
  66. You guys...

Don't be mad. It's just that Angie, you asked in your first post about getting tickets and I don't know if you can get them. I hope so. I didn't mean to sound condesending.

And I agree, I think anyone can go anywhere at anytime to see him at a public appearance. If I could make it, I'd show up with bells on and nothing else (boy, that'd get his attention or make him run screaming into the street)

As for why Summit has chosen this smaller venue for the premiere? I don't know. I do know that this is an independent film (out of Summit's independent arm). Who knows? Maybe Rob wanted something 'smaller.' As Exec. Prod., I don't know if he would have any say so in that.

'Cause lets face it, when your movie is starring one of the biggest stars in the world (at the moment), I would imagine you could hold your premiere anywhere and get enough press coverage to cover 12 movies. And Summit being the marketing master that it is, you'd think they'd pull out all of the stops. Gee, maybe Rob has said, I don't want this to be another circus. I don't know.

So no. I have no idea why the smaller theatre. Perhaps as we get closer to the premiere, we'll find out why.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I know I asked/begged for help/advice/suggestions. I did NOT ask to have it pointed out fifty different ways that we have little to no chance in hell in getting tickets. How is that constructive and how can it not sound condescending??

    ReplyDelete
  68. I just had a thought...

For reasons I cannot bring up, perhaps they've decided to make this premiere as low key as possible. In other words, not to throw themselves a big party over it. And of course unveiling it in NY is the right thing to do as that is where the story takes place.

Don't ask any questions. 'Cause it's just too damn hard not to answer them.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm sorry Angie. I was just thinking and typing at the same time and different ideas were coming to me and they were just spilling out. I sincerely hope you find a way in and if not, then to just have a great time at the theatre.

And I don't think I ever said that I don't think people shouldn't go. I think if anyone can get there...GO! Have fun.

Again, I'm sorry for saying anything that upset you.

    ReplyDelete
  70. so very very close and so very very tempting anyone wanna go with an old lady? I will buy you a drink LOL

    ReplyDelete
  71. @Angie and CL - ladies, I noticed you didn't mention bringing any types of snacky snacks. May I suggest Robscicles? Or frosting dipped pocket edwards? Cupcakes? Perhaps hot pockets and then you can slip one to Rob as he walks by?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Angie's here! I heart you, Ang!

@Martini - LOL! Hot pockets, love it. Yes, we will need snacks. Although I think one can live on anticipation, excitement, adrenaline and fangirl-ish-ness for quite a while. A frosting dipped pocket Robward sounds mouth-watering.

    ReplyDelete
  73. @ nikola6 - thanks for the great suggestions!

    @CullenLover07 & angie-k & anyone else going to the premiere -

i'm going too! i close to the city so i'll be taking the train in very very very early that morning. maybe even the night before.... maybe. if anyone wants to meet up (because it looks like i might be going alone since none of my RL friends have any interest in Rob) email me!

    email: astrellya@aol.com

As for Rob leaving NY right after the premiere, he can't as he's scheduled to be on The View the next day, so he will be definitely sticking around town that night!

    ReplyDelete
  74. CL - I heart you, too! and I can live a long time on anticipation, excitement, adrenaline and fangirl-ish-ness! I also happen to have a pocket Robward from my birthday cake!

We'll make a snack run once we figure out just where we'll be hanging out for the day. And if I'm not mistaken, Hot Pockets also make good bait...

Also, I just called the Paris Theater (212-593-4872) and the premiere is a closed event (which we already knew).

@Melissa - We can try to coordinate a group gathering. As CL said, we are planning on getting to the Paris early!

@Nik - not upset, just irritated. I don't like it when someone appears to be pissing in my Wheaties...and my personality doesn't let it go unchecked...

  75. It's an interesting idea nikola6 - perhaps Rob as an executive producer of the film may have had a say and may have wished for a low key premiere. Who knows? I remember he always described RM as "this little indie film he was shooting in NY" and he was amazed that so many fangirls turned up every day. So maybe he does not want a crazy premiere with red carpet and screaming fans.

  76. Thank you Melissa and again, sorry Angie.

I know I come off like a know it all but the truth is, I don't know everything. Some things, yeah but other things, I'm just taking a stab like everyone else. I try to qualify my statements with; I don't know/maybe/perhaps/possibly/I think, etc.

    And Angie,
I just didn't want you getting your hopes up when I knew it was gonna be damn near impossible to get into that thing. I should have found another way to express that though. We okay? Hell. I'd trade my $300 dollar Vans to get you into that theatre. I'd love nothing more than to hear you tweety birded with...'in theatre. on rob's lap. sharing bucket of popcorn. don't give a shit about the movie.'

And I don't know about him showing up at The View the next day. If 'the plan' is executed with military precision, the NB's should have that boy over at least six state lines by morning...at the very least.

(and after having him locked in a van overnight...hmmm...talk about a 'view')

  77. Perhaps Emilie de Ravin can just appear on the view with one of those big Rob cardboard cutouts? No one would be the wiser?

And if crossing state lines is in the plan, make sure you're heading towards the midwest? Maybe? please? ;o)

  78. @Martini - I live in Chicago, so sounds like a good plan to me!

    LOL! Edward cutout and Emilie.

  79. People don't realize that Emilie is a skilled ventriloquist...

  80. Well. Maybe you can just give him the grand tour and hit every NB in the continental U.S. And when I say hit, I mean HIT. 'Course he'll end up in the emergency room with IV's sticking out of him. And Bel Ami will just have to wait. What am I saying? We'll show him Bel Ami.

  87. One last thing...

Communication on the internet can be a bit dicey because we cannot see each other's facial expressions or hear each other's voice inflections. All we have are the words and sometimes those can be misinterpreted. I've misread people all the time and them me. But it's done now.

Now let's get this ROBstock tour planned. Oh Rob darling, if you only knew the delights that await you. If you did, you'd ditch that movie right now, hop a plane to America tonight and by morning, we wouldn't have to come a huntin' you. You'd be out looking for us.

Just one more month darling. Hang on.
