OOOK-uh simon? can you throw us a bone and say just a tad more:) Like did he say anything?? But I guess that would be pluggin in your name eh? Thanks anyways-
omg i'm so excited he is already working ! costume fitter? no i don't think i can handle that job :) imagine holding tape measure and kneeling in front of rob.. omg! *thud
Godze, Kate just want to say you have one of the the best if not the best rob centric fansite out there. Thank you to be great and funny and not full of drama. i really appreciate comming here to have some info about my new boy crush. I know i have too many crush. But it's good for my health. And , i feel really sorry when i see people saying that you have become a robsten site, because that's unfair and untrue. But whatever. Love the site. You have my support.
@AP - No, they truly do! It's not a huge section, but it is where I get my PG Tips (for a cup of P), Flakes, custard, etc. My ex is English, so as you can imagine, we spent a lot of time there. My fantasy is that I do see Rob there one day.....
Just ordered Bel Ami from Borders. Can't wait to read it.
@Cullenlover: for a cup of P? lol I luv Flakes. Thx for the info and yes, I understand the hunger. Funny, but when readily available, less of a compulsion...
Simon is 1 funny man. Bet Rob loved Shaun of the Dead. His latest film is set in Edinburgh... so they're probably in pre-production in London. Rob's getting a nice long stint at home unperturbed. Nice!
CL, LOL, me too girl...I'd be gropping him all over-but it's too tight Rob, let me fix it...oh, now too long, you need to step out of those pants again!
Some of the posts here are hilarious, you guys crack me up!
Now back on topic, who is Simon Pegg, and what was he doing at a costume fitting for Robert? Is he the director of Bel Ami or stylist? or what?
So Robert is back working now. It is nice to hear news about him, I hope that we will be getting constant news from the set and pictures, and perhaps a vid or two?...I miss Robert!
Also couldn't Simon have given some more details about his meeting with Robert? This was really short!
Anyways when the RM promotional stuff starts, I'm guessing we'll be getting a lot of Robert.
"Oh no Rob, you've split your inseam again...I'll need you to take those off. What do you mean you don't have anything on under them?? Well, I promise not to look...much"
I am halfway through reading Bel Ami and it is so fun reading it and envisioning Rob as Georges. He will be PERFECT! I can't wait. Except Georges has a mustache in the book and I would rather see Rob BARE lipped- mmmmmmm! What do you guys think of Rob in a mustache?
I think he should have a beard, a trimmed beard as I should think it would make him look a bit older as he is afterall, working opposite actresses who are considerably older than him (KST has got 26 yrs. on him), but for another reason too. **SPOILER ALERT**
The scene at the Walters where they're looking at the portrait of 'Christ walking on the water' and Suzanne suddenly exclaimes...
that Georges and the Christ look exactly alike. Except that Georges is clean shaven and the Christ has a beard. I think -just for that scene alone- that Georges should wear a nice trim beard throughout. That scene is so important because of Madame Walters; the silliest and most heartbreaking of his conquests. If KST pulls this off and considering that she was robbed of a nomination last year for "I've Loved You So Long', she could pull down a supporting nomination for this role. The role is certainly there.
Or maybe...just a goetee (sp?) so as not to cover up that magnificent jawline completely. What I really hope they do away with is, the top hat. I think met look so damn silly in them. Although if anyone could pull it off, it would probably be Rob.
I've got so much to say on this film, but I'll wait for other threads.
And to who it was that inquired as to whether Simon Pegg is the director of Bel Ami...
No he is not. He simply passed Rob (in a hallway? going into and out of a room?) as they were both going to costume fittings for seperate films.
I find it interesting though that he felt the need to twitter about this little encounter. Each time somthing like this happens, it only reinforces the fact that Rob is indeed 'at the moment- the most famous actor in the world and that by just mentioning his name in passing, it brings attention to those who are doing the mentioning.
Even George Clooney and the passing back and forth of the magazines. Yes, it was Anna who told that story, but the fact that George would bother playing the game with him in the first place.
Oh my. Our boy has most definitely been ushered into THE exclusive club in Hollywood. And that's because they KNOW...
That pic of Rob floating around here today? The one of him in the hoodie, looking down? That shows off so beautifully, that magnificent bone structure, that exisite mouth and those unbelieveably long eye lashes?
He looks just like what one could imagine Christ looking like.
Simon is so funny. I loved both his zombie movies(Hot Fuzz and Land of the Dead), Run Fat Boy Run and his role in Star Trek.
I see he is doing a comedy called Burke and Hare about 19th century grave robbers. So they must be on the same sound stage in London. Or where ever they do wardrobe fittings at.
@Shani: Luv Hot Fuzz, but it isn't a zombie movie. It's more like The Wickerman meets Point Break...but I won't hold it agin you. I'll just assume you're from "Lundun." ;)
Oh, and it also has the greatest 'swan' casting ever...down to none. And my fav guy, Nighy, and the biggest sea mine I've ever seen. When I grow up, since I can't be a vampire, I'm going to be a 'p'liceman officer.'
@LHR Did you say nothing on under the pants???? I'm mentally out of control now-lol. Y'all know I'm the freebaggin' lover! Jeez, kneeling in front of Rob, with freebaggin' on my mind. Let it all hang out, baby! NB alert.
I love Simon, he's awesome and hysterically funny...Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorite movies! I can't wait for Paul. (his newest movie with Seth Rogan, Nick Frost and Kristen Wiig)
and of course he said Rob was a nice young man! a big part of why we're all so adoring of him is because of his personality. (of course, that jaw doesn't hurt. ;) )
Simon was marvelous in Star Trek. Simon seems like a thoroughly nice man himself. I wonder if Rob needs any help getting into or out of his costume.....
Just wanted to say I love the idea of the beard/goatee. I don't like the mustache on him much - he's supposed to look handsome, and I don't think he would come across as handsome with hair on his lip.
Also, I like your reference to the painting. But ... I read the script for the film and the painting scene wasn't in there. That doesn't mean it won't end up in there, though.
And to those that think Rob will make a great scoundrel, I think this will actually be a huge acting challenge for him. Georges doesn't just "love and leave" these women -- he's rather cruel and cold to them. The script makes him even worse than the book. But I think the acting challenge is what attracted him to the script, and I'm rooting for him to pull it off.
OOOK-uh simon? can you throw us a bone and say just a tad more:) Like did he say anything?? But I guess that would be pluggin in your name eh? Thanks anyways-
ReplyDeleteI just left this in the comments of another thread. We need the location, Simon, please?
ReplyDeleteLucky Simon!
ReplyDeleteRob Pattinson is a very, very, very nice young man: sexy, beautiful, intelligent, funny, simple, PERFECT.
What do we need the location for?? *raises eyebrow*
ReplyDeleteIts probably somewhere in London. Should be enough information.
Oh to be a costume fitter person!!
ReplyDeleteHmm Rob, let me check that inseam one more time!
lol! @RPG. your comment takes me back to the episode of Friends where Chandler goes to Joey's tailor...
ReplyDelete"that's how he does it. he measures one side, then shifts it, and measures the other" ;-)
I've got my tape measure right here!!!
aw i love simon pegg :)
ReplyDeleteand rob of course
@ RPG, regarding Rob's inseam...
ReplyDeleteGirl, your comment made me think of an old Steve Martin movie called LA Stories, where Sarah Jessica Parker is measuring him for pants.... :D
I love that movie...she's going to "Spokes Model School" :D
LOL @RPG - you must be drinking the same juice Gozde was yesterday.
ReplyDeleteSecond day in a row I spit my coffee out. LOL - in seam is right. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEW you are definitely a NB.
I betcha the costume fitting was for Bel Ami. Now, I wish I knew if it was for a period costume or if they are going modern with the story!
ReplyDeleteAH no.. we don't need the location...
ReplyDeleteBut thanks for letting us know he's around and about :)
@RPG - I'd like to be the measuring tape that is used on his inseam...I'm just sayin'
ReplyDelete;)
I do not care about location here..this is Rob working and he should be left alone..so I assume the costume fitting is for Bel Ami then? Exciting :-).

ReplyDeleteLooks like his vacation finally is over and Rob is heading back to work. I thought he at least would have two weeks more off?
ReplyDeleteLOL angie-K & Lisa...
ReplyDeleteI'm always in an NB frame of mind when it comes to Rob!
ReplyDeleteOh Larissa, I didn't even think of that! It never crossed my mind that this Bel Ami could be a modern version. I really hope it's a period movie.
ReplyDelete*dreamy eyes* The back of my hand pulling the tape,up -up-up!!! OOOPS,sorry Rob*blushes* didnt mean to get you excited there;)
ReplyDeleteomg i'm so excited he is already working !
ReplyDeletecostume fitter? no i don't think i can handle that job :) imagine holding tape measure and kneeling in front of rob.. omg! *thud
You lovely ladies are getting me all "warmed up" . . . just woke up & saw this! Oh Rob . . . Hihihihihi!
ReplyDeleteEr...thanks, Simon...I think. lol
ReplyDeleteBel Ami is set in appropo time period. Analogies to modern day with political references.
Bel Ami's going to be goooooooooooooooood!
ReplyDeleteIt'll be both odd AND delicious seeing Rob as a scoundrel...
@Pandora - Um, because I'm a selfish b*tch and I want to see The Pretty. But, yeah, I know, and I agree with you. Leave him in peace.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to start tweeting that I saw Rob.
CullenLover07#
Saw Rob Pattinson at the Dominicks* in the English food section grabbing some Flakes and PG Tips. He looked tall, and super sexy.
*Dominicks is Chicago grocery store
@RPG - LOL! Forget the make-up person job, this is the dream job.
forget being the measuring tape, I want to be the pants that have the inseam. You get to stay close to the promised land alot longer! ;)
ReplyDeleteahhhhh, yes....the promised land...
ReplyDeletemind is going there now...
@Cullenlover: Dominick's has an 'English food' section? That's very considerate of it..lol
ReplyDeleteHave to say, I'm looking forward to Simon's project too. He's working with one of my favs, Bill Nighy, and David Tennant. Should be fun.
Godze, Kate just want to say you have one of the the best if not the best rob centric fansite out there.

Glad to see that BA is moving forward. really great. Love this book. really impatient to see how it looks at the end.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....kneeling in front of Rob...
ReplyDeleteGUTTER PATROL ALERT!
@AP - No, they truly do! It's not a huge section, but it is where I get my PG Tips (for a cup of P), Flakes, custard, etc. My ex is English, so as you can imagine, we spent a lot of time there. My fantasy is that I do see Rob there one day.....
ReplyDeleteJust ordered Bel Ami from Borders. Can't wait to read it.
@RPG - Thanks for the visual...now I am right there with you!!! How am I gonna concentrate at work now??? ;)
ReplyDelete@Cullenlover: for a cup of P? lol I luv Flakes. Thx for the info and yes, I understand the hunger. Funny, but when readily available, less of a compulsion...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your read.
*snaps tape measure* Ready Rob?! ;)
ReplyDeleteSimon is 1 funny man. Bet Rob loved Shaun of the Dead. His latest film is set in Edinburgh... so they're probably in pre-production in London. Rob's getting a nice long stint at home unperturbed. Nice!
ReplyDeleteRPG & LHR & Sarah - I'd get fired, and probably arrested.
ReplyDeleteCL,
ReplyDeleteLOL, me too girl...I'd be gropping him all over-but it's too tight Rob, let me fix it...oh, now too long, you need to step out of those pants again!
RPG - LMAO!!!
ReplyDeleteWe would be charged with multiple counts of sexual molestation, sexual harassment and groping. Worth every day in jail.
awweee!! i love simon pegg.

I love how he doesn't get mobbed in London. We are truly ungrateful B***hes but Oh diddly doo ;)
ReplyDeleteKneeling in front of Rob... OMFG...

hahaha...what a way to wake up! Yep, I'd take the costume fitter job over the make up person any day ;)

One last thought...
ReplyDeleteThat pic of Rob floating around here today? The one of him in the hoodie, looking down? That shows off so beautifully, that magnificent bone structure, that exisite mouth and those unbelieveably long eye lashes?
He looks just like what one could imagine Christ looking like.
Some more amazing.

@jc
ReplyDeleteThat`s right...I said it!! It`s actually RPG`s fault for putting the kneeling in front image in my head...my mind just ran from there!!
@LHR
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks to both of you then.
NB's rule!!!
Lol, jc, NB's totally rule!!
ReplyDeleteI love Simon, he's awesome and hysterically funny...Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorite movies! I can't wait for Paul. (his newest movie with Seth Rogan, Nick Frost and Kristen Wiig)

ReplyDeleteVery, very happy about cinematographer, Hagen B., for Ami. Colm is fine but would still have liked A.R., ideally. Well, nothing's ideal. lol
ReplyDelete
