Well, Rob's in excellent company.

"Words and images matter," saysGLAAD President Jarrett Barrios of this year's nominees. I'm really glad this film's getting some more recognition, which is what it deserves. It really is an excellent film but not many people seem to see that.
ITA Kelly L,
it's such a beautiful film from the acting, directing, music, cinematography, script.... all the critics seemed tp focus on was Robs in & out accent....
I hope it makes it to the Oscars as well.
Kelly Louise, I completely agree.
I am happy for this nomination, he definitely did a wonderful job in this film.
I watched HTB yesterday and it was so hilarious. OMG I wanted to smack his mother "Sometimes I wonder about you" LOL
Congratulations to everyone involved in this production!
Nominations like this will definitely get the word out. This film had zero to no promotion. Now, hopefully more people will see it.
Good Luck Little Ashes!
(This move holds an EXTRA special place in my heart.. it was my first "date" with Kelly!)
Teri,
I know, HTB is so funny, sad, heartwarming.
I got my only two "Rob lover" friends to watch it... One hated it & the other did not laugh one time...
WTF?
Can't imagine they'd like LA... some people have no brains or taste....
Off to work... booooooooo
wow im so happy for this nomination. LA is really a good movie. for the first time in my life, i didn't mind about man on man action at all while watching it.
anyway, to RPG,ADM or anyone else who read ff, have u read The Red Line??? i've just started readng it today, i find it so good.the story is great but hurt sometmes to imagine rob face on edward character cos i cant imagine rob being hurt like that. i think u should read it.

Now I really need to go to work!

@RPG and Teri: i dunno if i can handle it for long. it hurts me to imagine rob being hurt like that..i have to distract my self between chapter to make me happy and have more strength to read it.
Mya,
Keep at it, it's worth it....

I can't handle your AVI while I'm at work!!!

@Teri
Seriously...I'm trying to work...I cannot have THE TONGUE distracting me...uummmmm, THE TONGUE...
Wait...what was I saying?? I can't concentrate...
(I really like your avi, if ya hadn't guessed!!)
girls pls can someone tell me what is naughty room and nb
robsessive,
The naughty room is where the orignal robkats go for playtime with Rob...
NB's=naughty bitches....I think that name speaks for itself!
@robsessive, sure. NB = Naughty Bitches for Rob Club (NB or NBFRC for short). Came out of a naughty thread one night. We can thank RPG for the term! (Some of us here, nameless of course, are rather naughty when it comes to thoughts of Rob and his panty-melting ways...)
As for the naughty room, it's a similar-type phrase coined by some of the original blog members, the Robkats. It's their "romper room" where Rob evidently has fun... Any RKs in the room? (Gwen's an NB!)
: )
i'm so glad for this! i've always said it and i will always do: LA is a really great movie. This is the kind of parts that let Rob show his potential as an actor
Hiya, RPG! You type faster than I do! ; )
ps, Vote Rob people! (One more week!)
http://www.hellomagazine.com/vote/grand-finale2009/menattractive.html
Rob is THE Most Attractive Man. We know this! ; )
gwen wait is it real or something that you create in here sorry I am confused
robsessive,
It's in our twisted little dirty minds!
oh god thanks I have just thougth like its real for a minute I was about to have an heart-attack
@RPG
Our VERY, VERY dirty little minds!!
do you have a usual time for that and how can learn and join that
I can guess leslie cuz sometimes I am thinking very very dirty about him
To the Robsessed trifecta: kudos for all your hard work getting this film to a bigger audience! You gals really rocked the Little Ashes campaign.
Congrats to Paul Morrison and his talented cast for bringing us this beautiful movie. And bravo Rob for being brave enough to take on such a challenging role.
To the NBs: I did notice that Ellie unlocked the door to the naughty room the other night! Wow... the hinges were getty pretty rusty. I figured you girls would find your way in there sooner or later. Don't forget to shut the door tight on your way back out though... Wouldn't want any kiddies wandering in unawares!
I loved Little Ashes, beautiful and sad....
I'm still voting...
Just the nomination alone will bring more attention to this little beautiful piece of work..
and ahh, yea.. there is always someone in the Naughty Room...
Someone is insatiable.
Love, Suz xxx
It`s amazing "Little Ashes" was nominated for GLAAD. It`s good publicity for a beautiful film with challenging interpretations of Rob and Javier. Love this film!!! I love Rob as Salvador and Javier as Federico!!!
Congratulations for them, Paul Morrison and his crew.
Rpattzgirl you are right about that, the critics focused on his facial hair and accent because they had their own agenda which was to put down this film as having been filmed after "Twilight" and to put a negative spin on his work! The so called critics never gave the film a chance! I'm glad the film is getting some recognition it is a beautiful film!
I am glaaad to see this.
@GoRob: Not all the critics hated Little Ashes, or Rob's performance. Ebert gave an interesting review and gave kudos to Rob for taking risks.
Now we just need the soundtrack release...
I remember going to see this movie by myself at the NARO in Norfolk, VA and really enjoying it. Can't wait for the DVD realease on Jan 26
:-)
With this nomination (and this is a very prestigious award) and the release of the DVD in the U.S. in just a couple of weeks now, this film is now going to be seen by alot more people. Especially those in Hollywood; the powers that be and his most especially, his acting peers.
And that's all I've wanted with this. I knew it would blow by the general public, but I wanted Hollywood to see what this kid is capable of. Coupled with his award winning How To Be (didn't he win 2 or 3 Best Actor awards on the independent film festival circuit?), these films and performances are giving him his 'street cred' as an actor. And films such a Bel Ami will only add to it.
Very, very happy indeed.
Nik
