In the script that I read many moons ago..I felt a lot of sympathy for Charles..I guess you have to understand what kind of generation he grew up in..his part was taking care of the family financially..no matter how much the work took him away from that family..very focused and driven on one path..to his understanding..he has and is doing exactly what a Father is supposed to do..I'm sure Brosnan played him beautifully.

I feel better on this site, too. Yes, nice to be a part of the bigger picture. At first I felt like the only person I knew who had SO much emotional attachment. @OMG...take it from an 'old-time' unsuccessfully-recovered addict, I'm so sorry, but what they're saying is true. It will never end. And no. There is no cure.
I tried starting an RA meeting in my town, and although 500 women turned out, the end result was 5 hours of Petron shots, slo-mo Twilight viewings and a rather spirited game of favorite-Rob-parts trivia games. Yeah, not so much a success.
I quickly learned it was better to just embrace and accept. As I'm sure the rest of this beautiful coven will tell you...it's so much easier on you if you don't fight it. Trust me on this one. You'll only hurt yourself.
P.S. An inevitable part of the addiction is MOTU. I tried for several months to avoid this particular virus, but it was always there, waiting for me to succumb. It's just better if you know off the bat. Good luck and Godspeed.

I remember in the script Charles being really selfish and putting his career first. From the trailer it did seem as though Pierce brought out a more sympathetic side to Charles. Good job, Pierce. I guess you can play it that way because there are always different sides to a character. Charles background may have forced him to be hard, but it doesn't mean he didn't care about his family in the end.

I'm loving this thread. Yuh, I'm way older & as much as I love Rob for reasons you all know, I hold back the lusting. Some people sort of know I crush on him, and I tried to tell my best friend, but she doesn't get it, no judgement. Best not to even try. One good thing that came from my Rob obsession when I was a bit more vocal about it and the Twilight thing: My goofy coworker got the cardboard Edward for me. He scared the crap out of me one day when I came to work,standing in my cubicle. It was Rob's birthday. He watches over me every night from the corner of my bedroom (obviously I have no DH). It's not Rob, but I can't bring myself to get rid of him.
I haven't been around, so I don't know what FILTM is! You can imagine how confused I've been lately hahah

This is the only place where I can indulge in my obsession and not feel guilty about it. The husband knows and thinks its cute, but I don't think he quite gets the depth of our devotion. My daughter knows and approves, but is somewhat embarrassed that her mother shares her "crush"--what can I say? She has excellent taste:)
