There has been a lot of Internet speculation about the premiere of “Remember Me,” starring Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, and Pierce Brosnan.
The film, which revolves around two people who fall in love as they cope with tragedy, was shot last summer in New York.
And that’s precisely where the premiere will be, Gossip Cop can confirm.
Gossip Cop is told that the stars will walk the red carpet in New York on March 1.
“Remember Me” opens nationwide on March 12.
Generally, premieres are closer to the film’s release date, but because Pattinson is working on “Bel Ami” in Europe and can’t go back and forth, “Remember Me” will have it’s big red carpet at the same time he’s doing its press junket in the Big Apple.

Devinesally: I don't think that there is a big chance to actually get IN the premiere. But there will be a red carpet with the stars - signing autographs and stuff. There was something like that for New Moon in London and I was lucky enough to be there and see Rob pretty close. He signed somethng for me and we got a lot of pictures and a video of him. So you're chances to see/meet him at the red carpet in NY will probably be great as well!
I'm going to start walking to NY tonight. I think I'll be there by March.

@Lisa: Well, we were some lucky bitches that day! We only arrived at the park where the fan event took place arround 3 pm and still got really great places right at the red carpet without having to wait in line. But you're right, normally most people go there very early in the morning from what I hear. Maybe the english people just were a little more relaxed... might be different in NYC!

This is pretty much how I thought it would go, that they would hold the premiere in NY (along with his press junket) because NY is alot closer to Western Europe than is LA.
And no, the chances of getting into the actual premiere are pretty much slim and none, unless you know someone on the inside who can get you in. With this film though, they might have some contests or two in which they would give away tickets to the premiere. But anyone can go down to the theatre and wait for the stars to walk the red carpet. As for which theatre...
Alot of big premieres are held at the Zigfeld. It's my favorite theatre in NY because it looks like the movie palaces of old as oppose to the multiplexes of today. It's absolutely gorgeous. Used to be an actual theatre where the Ziegfeld Follies played (anybody remember Barbra Striesand in Funny Girl? That's the story of Fanny Brice and her career with Florenz Ziegfeld), then they turned it into a movie theatre. Anyway...
It's easy to find. It's located on 50th bet. 5th and 6th Aves. across the street from Rockefeller Center and down the street from Radio City Music Hall. I'm not saying this is where they'll hold it, but alot of premieres are held there. I guess they'll announce where at some point. And for those of you who live in the area, keep your ears open for 'giveaway' tickets through contests or call ins or whatever.

Hmm...I live in NY...
...but it's a Monday night. That means I'd have to go into the city when everyone else is trying to get out of the city. Grid lock. I hate grid lock. And those damn bicycle messengers and those little rickshaws attached to the backs of bicycles...one of those freaks hit my NEW car a couple years ago when I was trying to get into the city to see the Eagles while everyone else was trying to get out of the city...
And The Man already nix'd going to the Village on a week night to see Sam Bradley a couple month's ago, so I sincerely doubt he'd feed my Cougar tendencies by humoring me and taking me downtown to make a fool of my middle aged self...although he would get a lot of mileage out of the stories, I'm sure.
