  12. He is painfully beautiful. PAINFULLY. Yes, right THERE.

  13. When I first saw the thread title, I thought it said "porno" not "promo" and I thought...'aw shit, one of those bastards has climbed a tree with a telephoto lense and finally caught him coming out of the shower.' Whew...

But yeah, gorgeous photo. If this movie is even half way decent, I can't imagine he's not going to pick up a few more fans along the way. I mean my god, just look at him.

Okay. I will. Right now. Going back to look.

I'll 'remember' Salinger too. Luv what he to say about no actor ever being able to play his "Catcher." Strange but singular...

couldn't stop myself from posting comment ...do we really need to be ashamed of our love to Edward? that's what Twilight-Robert-haters want from us to do. in my opinion Katerine Hardwick is a genius because she was able to find a diamond, not needle in a haystack. Robert completely fits Edward's description in the first book,i bet when S.Meyer was writing her Saga she hardly could imagine that the guy was real,of course, besides of the obvious difference. his voice, face, body, hair, everything..aren't they the same? and is Edward really a such a bad guy? so many guys don't hesitate to kill or to cheat in a real life.of course real Robert is the best, but i'm still Edward Team too. sorry for being too much emotional.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I agree, definitely channeling the paleness of Edward in this one lol, even the hair!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just love it! I live in Switzerland and have to wait until April 7th to see Remember Me and I literally can't wait anymore... He looks so amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  24. @olga. You can be emotional, that's what living is all about and even more so where you are passionate about something. Don't ever be ashamed by what you love or don't love... The only person who can decide for you is yourself!
Edward is not a bad guy. However, with my experience I'd say he is not a sane guy for a young girl who has never fell in love before! The bubble they live in is not a good thing... Being in love doesn't mean forgetting the rest of the world.
I truly loved the books and liked the movies. I love Rob but, as I've already said it, I'm Team Jacob (which has nothing to do with Taylor Lautner)... Only the books :o) I'd don't mind being a cougar with Rob, Taylor could be my son and that is just not even something I could think about... Weird!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I agree Olga, I'm still team Edward!I just think people mean that Tyler is different to Edward so the promo pics should be different...but it is the same guy sooo...!

We're all in robler mode at the moment but come june we'll be right back in the robward saddle...its all about rob in any form for me...and despite some fuck ups I still love twi...thats what led me here!

    ReplyDelete
  26. @kate,
    thanks again today.

You're my hero. I just come here now and let you 3 send me the connections. loving the blogs too.

@sissidelyon, you are right about the life experience, but that bubbles..aren't they the everyone's dream or the best memories (depends of the age)? ;) *sigh*, there were definitely too much new Rob's outtakes for me..

    ReplyDelete
  28. @sissy, I'm a cougar too, but I just can't get enough Rob. That's why I'm here.

Never get enough Rob.... so I lurk here just like the others. What's not to love here? Lots of things that make me keep the smile on my face each day.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Everyone that read the script is saying that it is a very sad story. Oh c'mon, please, Tyler doesn't die, does he???

    ReplyDelete
  30. Gorgeous picture. Looks like a romantic man waiting for his lady in ANY ERA IN HISTORY of the 20th century or more...

I made it my avi and changed the colors oddly so it looks like an old postcard where they colored in the colors oddly on the postcard. I like it. It looks vintage. BEAUTIFUL picture. Breathtaking. With his look, he can do ANY film almost.....as a leading man and just by changing his hairstyle and clothes he could be a leading man at any time in history. AMAZING. A handsome man, is a handsome man in ANY era. SIGH. He breaks my heart he's so handsome. I LOVE YOU ROB. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @Olga: I love Edward too! Rob playing him in the first Twilight movie was just perfect... and I think most people here feel the same. It's just that we don't want Rob to be stereotyped... People need to know that Rob isn't Edward in real life and that he can play completely different parts as well. So it might be better if he wouldn't look like Edward on these promotional pictures for Remember Me.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @CrazyVamp You don't want to be spoilered, do you?!?

We could tell you why the movie is going to be really sad, but do you actually WANT to know??

    ReplyDelete
  33. CV,
Gozde would kick our ass if we talked about spoilers!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I too have always thought that Rob was the physical embodiment of Edward; the long, lanky frame, the granite jawline, the full mouth, the unruly hair, even the long, tapered fingers. Rob is EXACTLY how I envisioned Edward.

And I do take issue with some of the criticisms of their relationship because I think that we put our own modern sensibilities into everything that we see and we cannot remove ourselves from them and look at something within it's own context.

Yes, she was a teenage girl, but not your typical teenage girl. If she were, Edward would have put her off, scared her and instead, she was drawn to him. She was never afraid of him. It was her destiny to be like him. He was seen as a stalker (watching her sleep at night) and too over protective. Well hell, he's a predator by nature and every thought he had was for her happiness and safety. Also, he came of age in a different era where men were more protective of women. When Edward Cullen was turned, women didn't even have the right to vote yet.

This story is a fairy tale, a fantasy and yet I hear complaint after complaint about the 'wrongness' of it. Again, because we cannot remove ourselves from our own modern sensibilities to accept something in it's own context.

The things I've read; him just wanting to control her, him just wanting to knock her up (yup, I've read that one more than once). I've thought...have some of these critics actually read the story? He wanted her to remain human, to go to college, to have her normal human life at great sacrifice to himself AND he didn't want her having that baby. If he could have gotten past Rosalie and Emmet, he would have aborted it. His love for her was beyond selfless. But for some, all of that got missed and all they could focus on was 'perceived' negativity.

It brings to mind Dr. Quinn. Anybody remember that show? Jane Seymour and the network got into a tug of war because Jane fought for her character being a virgin on her wedding night. The network balked and said, no one would believe that a 37 year old woman would still be a virgin and Seymour said, back in that time, decent unmarried women did indeed remain virgins until marriage. And she got her way and Dr. Quinn did indeed go to her marriage bed a 37 year old virgin. But there was that idea that modern audiences wouldn't buy it because nowadays, nobody goes to their marriage bed a virgin. Actually some do, but I would guess that the majority of modern society would think that very strange indeed.

We just have to remove 'ourselves' and our 'sensibilities' from the equation sometimes and accept a story being told to us in it's own time frame and it's own sensibilities.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nik...

Well said and I couldn't agree more...

    ReplyDelete
  36. What is this??????????

    (breathing REALLY hard...)

    ReplyDelete
  37. One last thing...

    Titanic!
I never bought for a second that Rose -no matter how much she may have loved Jack- would have crawled into the back seat of a car and given herself to a man she'd only known for a few days. Not in 1912. Never would have happened. They even implied that she was already sleeping with her fiance, Cal. Again, wouldn't have happened. Women of that time and of her standing? Their virtue was their calling card. As soon as they gave that up, their value went down. If Cal had bedded her before marriage, he wouldn't have married her. Not a man like Cal.

But James Cameron placed his modern sensibilities into the story knowing that late 20th century audiences wanted and more importantly, EXPECTED the sex or they would have felt shortchanged. So...he gave it to them. Didn't fit in with the time frame or the story he was telling, but...oh well.

And don't get me wrong. I like sex in my stories too. If it's right. And in Breaking Dawn, it most definitely would be right. Which I why I hope they give us an R rated director's cut and tell the story as Meyer wrote it. Not a sanitized version for a PG audience that they don't want to alienate.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Nope. Can't talk about spoilers but I'll just say this. If I didn't know what this story was about and I walked into that theatre cold, knowing nothing, I fear they'd have to take me back out on a stretcher.

    I'm glad I know. I'm glad I'm prepared. Although I doubt I really am.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Okay... I know Gözde would kick your ass (RPG! this was funny). But, seriously, I won't go see it in the first days... and when I find out if he dies or not, then I will decide what I'll do...

    Thanks, girls... :)

  43. Wow nik...talk about hitting the nail on the head! These complaints are only ever heard from people who either haven't read the book or team jacob people trying to undermine the wonderful character that is edward cullen! He was kind and loving and utterly selfless...if she had wanted jake he would have let her go despite his own heartbreak..he tried his best to convince her that a normal life was what was best but it wasn't what she wanted.Team jacob people are constantly saying that edward was too controlling or whatever but if you look closely jake is the only one trying to make her choose a destiny she would have been miserable in...he even asked edward to leave despite what it would have done to her!Also...if the other team are so feminist and demanding of bella's "right" then why not respect her decision...it was edward she wanted so why would she have picked jacob...its about true love and sacrifice, not choosing the easy option...wheres the romance in that?!

    ReplyDelete
  44. @nikola LOL, that would the pic we all wanted to see ;)But not too nice to Rob...

  48. @CV: Now you make me think about THIS all the time...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yeah Sarah...

I always thought it was Jacob who was the controlling, manipulative, petulant, adolescent who wanted what HE WANTED and to hell with what Bella wanted. Funny how it got turned around. Funnier still...Meyer has always said that Jacob is her favorite character in the book. That just blew my mind. Edward was the selfless man and Jacob the selfish boy and yet, he was her favorite. Go figure.

    And Suzanne...
I have read so many comments like yours and I find it utterly amazing. Never have I seen such a reaction from woman to an actor. I cannot tell you how many times I have read comments such as...

I want to have his baby OR looking at him makes my ovaries spasm OR if you look at that photo long enough, he'll knock you up.

Women have a very 'primal' response to this guy. It's like we just want to lie down on the ground with him and procreate. I have a theory about that. Women by nature seek out those males that they perceive as the most masculine, having the strongest DNA because they want those traits for their offspring. Yup. That's what I'ma thinkin.'

    And annieforpatty...
No. I never want to see a photo like that of Rob. It would be a violation of him to such a degree that I would be turning away knots in my stomach. However...
Should he choose to someday go 'the full monty' on screen (and the difference there would be of course that it would be 'his choice') then I will be there in the front row a whoopin' and a hollarin' and trying not to choke on my redvine (actually, wishing to god I was chocking on something other than a redvine)

    Who said that?

    Fer shame.

    ReplyDelete
  50. @ Susanne, weren't you thinking of this BEFORE???
How do you think you would have his children?? Having a lot of fun first!
    ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Lol nik...you're a woman after my own heart!Oh well she can keep jacob...we'll have Edward!I think true romantics are team Edward and despite all their claims and wishes for the contrary team jacob are still vastly outnumbered...try as they might thee outcome remains the same.Jacob shows his true colours in that tent with edward when he asks him to leave- disgusting! And if the want to bring up age differences and lack of free will...i have one word for them...renesme!

And your dead on about the primal thing...my ovaries do happy dances whenver I come onto a site like this!

    ReplyDelete
  52. @Nikola6: I can´t even understand myself! As I´m way over 30, I´ve had some crushes on men, but never, NEVER to this extent!!!

I honestly don´t know what is happening to me. I just know that Robert is special, that I would do the craziest things for him, without having him even seen in person!

But I know I´m not alone (and thank you ladies soo much for being the way you are!!!) so I just accept it as it is and keep on looking forward for every tiny little bit of the most wonderful man on earth.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Nik - you talk so much sense sometimes, makes me wish I could be so articulate. Your contributions are so insightful, you see things that pass straight over my head and bring them back for me, so thank you. Lol, that was really cheesy.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Nik, WOW! I love to read your posts, you always give so much thought in them; but, seriously, sometimes you think too much... No offense, please.
So, I was wondering: what do you work with?

(I'm asking this because I'm an art history teacher, and I HAVE TO overthink on a lot of tiny details all the time). Jus'curious... don't answer if you don't want or can't. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  55. @CV: You make my day!!!

Oh yes, I´ve thought about this A LOT, but not exactly at this moment, so thanks to you these thoughts will stay with me through the night now ;-)

And if you don´t stop putting naughty thoughts in my head, I´ll tell you the end of Remember me!!! :-)))

    ReplyDelete
  56. Sorry, I just read my comment above and I hate to see my mistakes in english... (it is not my mother tongue:), but u get it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. @ Susanne, Gözde would 'kick your ass'...

    (now I'm curious... damn!)

    ReplyDelete
  58. @Nic, you are right about the primal reaction. I can talk about myself and say that I never have this reaction to NO ONE and then comes Mr.Pattinson and turns my world upside down. The logic in me says that this is wrong, get a grip woman. You don't the guy, he doesn't know that you exit but I totally ignore that. Even my brain ignore all the warnings and this madness. It is exactly like a drug addiction and it makes you feel great as long as you have access to the object of your addiction(I don't see him as a object). You go crazy not seeing him. I know that it is the chemicals in brain such as endorphin and serotonin that makes me feel this way(the same way that a drug makes you feel good) but since I haven't experience this before it makes it hard to think clearly. On the other hand this obsession have helped me to see my life clearly and make some changes that I didn't have the guts to do earlier. For me right now is a win win situation.
He has a such strong attraction that it just don't give you any choice to not like him. you just get hight looking at his pics. I don't know what he do to you in person. Give you a heartattack maybe???
And now the other issue ;)for him choose to someday go 'the full monty',well I wouldn't look away either and I certainly would choke on something ;) (Right now I would be happy to see him smile)

    FILTM

  59. No offense taken at all...

I'm a free lance writer who's currently working on my first novel. I studied acting formally in NY, understudied off broadway, did workshops and regional theatre. But that is behind me. Both my mother and my grandmother became ill at the same time (a stroke and stomach cancer) and I went back home to care for them until they died. And by then, I felt it was too late to return to NY and start all over. Truth is, I just don't think I wanted it bad enough.

I know I write alot but I don't think too much about it...at least here. Here it's more of a relaxation and getting away from the book. I don't think about what I'm going to write. I just sit down, my thoughts race and my fingers fly (which is why my spelling is so atrocious).

It's been said of me that I have a mind like a steel trap. That's good in some ways I suppose and not so good in others because I walk around with all of this useless information. It's been suggested to me that I go start my own blog. Only problem with that is...I don't have the technological know how to do such a thing and if I did, I would see my 'fun time' talking about Rob, turn into an obligation. Here, I can come and go as I please. And my pattern seems to be, writing alot for several days and then disappearing for awhile. But like a bad penny, I always turn back up to drive you poor ladies insane with my chatter.

I know that the internet is not set up for 'my kind' of writing. It's set up for a comment of a sentence or two AND I am very self conscious and very self aware about it, but I just do not know how to communicate my thoughts in such a manner. I do apologize for it. Really I do. And I just want to say thank you to those who have such nice things to say to me. I really do appreciate it.

    ReplyDelete
  60. @CV You can email me anytime :-)

Well, look at us, just a small picture and we´re freakin out... hopefully the drought is really over now!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Nik, sorry. I was not saying that you write too much. But (maybe it is my bad english day) I said that (sometimes) you think too much. I was referring to the things you wrote about Rob/Taylor/Bella triangle. I agree with some of the things you said, but I'm too lazy to discuss some of the things I think differently... at least, not at this time, on a friday night...

You write beautifully! I knew you are a writer! Please, stay here and (as you said) drive us insane with your chatter. We love it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Susanne, thanks! I'll think about it -- I mean, if I really wanna know the end of RM...

    ReplyDelete
  63. God! It is Edward/Jacob/Bella triangle... ops.

I'd better go back to finish my work-day; and get ready to prepare dinner.
    See ya! :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. @Susanne: Funny, I just wanted to say the same! ;)

But it's a great thing that we CAN discuss so much on this blogg... because it is actually really amazing and wonderful since we are people from all over the world, but still we are obviously feeling and thinking almost the same about a lot of subjects.

For people who have prejudices against other nations and cultures it would be a very good thing to come here and participate in this blog. :)

ohh..Nic, i realized now, that were you who wrote about testosterone surplus. i agree this that, i'm always looking for the *primal* reasons of people reactions too and as for Robert...well naturally he is 100% right guy for all of us, and i just hope that lucky b**** KStew knows it.
