George Clooney Tells OK! He’s Glad He’s Not in Competition with R-Pattz
Last week, Up in the Air actress Anna Kendrick blabbed that her leading man George Clooney had displayed his jealous side whenever he talked about her Twilight Saga co-star Robert Pattinson. And when we caught up with George at last night’s New York Film Critic’s Circle Awards, the Oscar-winner told OK! that he’s happy he doesn’t have to compete with R-Pattz for movie roles.
“Thank God I don’t have to,” the Fantastic Silver Fox explained to OK!. “He’s young and handsome and talented.”
It was on The View that Anna revealed George’s streak of R-Pattz envy.
“Whenever I came back [from shooting Twilight, it was like, ‘Oh, sorry, this isn’t the Twilight set,'" she recalled. "'You’re not working with Mr. Handsome.’ He called Rob ‘Mr. Handsome.’”
To help him cope, Anna got Rob to sign a copy of his April GQ cover for Clooney: “To George: Best of Luck. Hang in there. Love, Rob.”

A sense of humor is so very sexy. Combine that with Clooney's smooth charm and handsome looks, and you have a deadly combination. He & Rob in a movie together would be a dream I would never wanna wake from.

I`d love to see George and Rob in a movie like "Ocean`s eleven" type with all the gang ( Brad Pitt, Matt Damon...). George is sexy, funny, talented and always a gentleman. It would be heaven on earth Rob and George becoming friends.

I love GC, and love that a respected actor is speaking highly of Rob. GC gets lot of respect from his acting peers so if he's Team ROB then that's freaking awesome. I would love to see them in a movie together. Rob could play George's son that would be awesome.

I just went to the Hello attractive man voting page and everyone's count was back down to zero! i don't know if this is a temporary glitch, or if they wiped the slate clean and want to start again.
I think Clooney is a handsome man, but I am not impressed with his acting. He is believable in his roles, but I always see him as George Clooney playing this, or George Clooney playing that. Rob has made less movies, and he is still young and therefore changing, so perhaps the comparison is not totally efficient, yet I see him as being able to make his face into a mask that makes himself the character, as if he is living the character and has put his Self into a corner of his mind, out of the way whilst he portrays a character, excpet in a case where the character is very similar to himself such as in Remember Me. (And it is not just the make-up). There are not many movie stars who can do this. This is one reason I see the difference between the word/terms 'movie star' and 'actor.'
BTW--the correct numbers are back on the Hello voting page; i guess it was just a glitch before. Carry on. :-)

GC is a class act. Nice praise from an Oscar winning actor. Need to work on script for the two of them to star in. Can't imagine them coming in to read for it. I would truthfully die from all The Pretty. =)

Well in that pic it looks like Clooney is in comp Sean Connery. I'm not a fan of his in that I want to see all of his work...but I love the stories of the practical jokes he pulls...and I love this lil Clooney-RPattz exchange!!

George is Mr.Suave. Notice he always sports a beard during time off. Maybe he and Rob have been texting... lol
The many faces of Rob. The man is a chameleon. He became Edward. He was Toby Jugg, and Daniel Gale, and Art and Cedric Diggory (haven't yet seen LA but suspect he becomes Dali too) as well as remaining himself when off screen. He is so meticulous in his characterizations that some people don't realize that he has morphed into someone other than himself and mistakenly assume he can't act or doesn't act well. But really he CAN act and is doing so. That's one reason why I am anxiously waiting for RM and BA. He is a delight to watch, listen to, drool over in a movie or an interview. It would be overload, but a pleasant overload, to put these handsome men together in a movie.

I like George, respect his role choices, he puts his money where his mouth is for causes he believes in, not much BS about him, and he's genuinely charming and funny. A lot in common with Rob, but they're in 2 different leagues career wise at this point in time. Rob on his way up, choosing roles in Indie movies that appeal to him. George is established Hollywood actor with clout. Doubt their paths will cross any time soon.
